one thing you learn when you live and die by how the sports teams you follow are doing... death is a likely scenario sometimes. between the Yankees, Rangers and Saints last night, i was completely willing to find the tallest building and take a leap. fuck me.
the Yankees lost last night in Houston, 3-2. they are now down 2-0 in the series. now, i know a series really doesn't begin until a home team loses. with that in mind, the Yankees better win all 3 games at Yankee Stadium or this series will be over rather quickly.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the winless San Jose Sharks, coached by the former Rangers coach, David Quinn, 3-2 in OT. the Rangers got completely outplayed in the 3rd period and OT. that was fucking brutal to watch.
and then the final punch to the dick last night, the New Orleans Saints pissed away a lead and lost at Arizona, 42-34. Andy Dalton threw 6 TD's last night, but 2 of those were for Arizona. thank fucking god i didn't watch any of the game.
the MLS playoffs last night certainly did not disappoint.
Vice News Tonight had two great episodes this week.
the season finale of Little Demon last night was great.
Atlanta was fucking brilliant last night.
Young Sheldon was very funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and the season finale of Los Espookys. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
the New York Knicks play tonight at home against the Pistons.
i did go to Menards today. i found pretty much everything i was looking for. i was a little shocked that the Christmas shit was already out. fuck, Halloween hasn't happened yet.
i should be on here tomorrow in the morning. i know around noon or so, Ohio State and Manchester United will both be playing.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
today is going to busier than shit. but, i like fucking chaos anymore. oh well.
the Yankees lost last night at Houston, 4-2. hard to win when you strike out 17 times in a game. and once again, Aaron Boone didn't use the bullpen how he should have (how many times does Clarke Schmidt have to fail in high pressure situations for you to stop putting him in those...). they play Game 2 tonight.
here are your highlights from the MLB playoffs yesterday:
the New York Knicks lost in OT last night, at Memphis, 115-112.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
The Masked Singer was good last night.
both episodes of American Horror Story: NYC were great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW, the season finale of Little Demon, Atlanta and Young Sheldon.
the New Orleans Saints play tonight at Arizona. the Saints have so many injuries, i have no clue how they are going to do tonight.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against San Jose. hopefully, the boys win again.
the MLS playoffs resume tonight. Philadelphia plays FC Cincinnati and El Trafico will be the other semifinal (LAFC vs. LA Galaxy).
i'm hoping i will get some poems written today while mom is at physical therapy.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get back from Menards.

so, the Yankees game got rained out last night. they are playing Game 2 today. i would have loved to get this blog done before it started, but that clearly didn't happen. oh well.
the New York Rangers won last night in Minnesota, 7-3. the Rangers play at Winnipeg tonight.
Young Sheldon was good last night.
NJPW was excellent last night.
Atlanta was great last night.
Little Demon last night was hilarious. the season finale is next week.
since the Yankees didn't play last night, i went to Meijer instead. i found everything that was on the list.

the Yankees are currently up 2-0 in the second inning. Stanton homered in the 1st.
it is very windy today. i used to love these days on the farm. mother nature would rake the leaves for me.
i am going to try to be on here in the morning tomorrow. Ohio State has a bye this weekend. i would love to go to the Red and Blue game tomorrow at UD Arena. but, i also need to get my laundry done and i really don't like leaving mom alone when she can't see. i really hope her fucking glasses come in soon.

i didn't get to watch The Masked Singer last night since the baseball game ran late. i will try to catch it on demand later today.
the 3 episodes of Welcome to Wrexham last night were excellent.

so, i did go to Rite Aid this morning. they had my prescription ready. thankfully, they weren't busy either. i took mom to her appointment to get her bloodwork done. thankfully, that went quick as well. after that, mom wanted to go to Lowe's. now, she doesn't have her glasses yet, so this is basically me taking a blind person to shop. we did find everything we needed at Lowe's. thankfully, i had a gift card on me as well. that took a good $50 off of the bill. i took mom back home and then i went to Big Lots. i had two coupons to use. amazingly, they did have some baseball cards in stock. i got 4 packs of baseball cards and 1 pack of hockey cards. mom had me look for some cheap tablecloths for her to use while working with the plants. i found 2 of them and after my coupons, i got all that for $27. the cards made up for that amount.
so, i missed the USWNT match today against England. i heard the USA lost 2-1, although the second goal the USA scored was taken away by a ridiculous VAR call. but, it was a friendly... i think England is one of the better teams out there on the women's side.
Vice News Tonight had two great episodes this week.
NJPW was really good last night.
Little Demon was hilarious last night.
Atlanta was fucking great last night.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, i got up in time this morning to have a little breakfast before i took mom to the dentist. i managed to write 4 poems while i was waiting for her in the parking lot. it was a pretty cool morning, so i didn't mind staying in the car. i typed the poems up when i got home. i think they are pretty good. i should have enough to get a few submissions out in the next few days.
the Yankees lost yesterday to the Rangers, 4-2. Judge didn't play, so he ended up second in batting average in the triple crown race. he should win the AL MVP, though i'm sure the math nerds will all be voting for Shohei Ohtani. the Yankees finished the season 99-63. makes sense since #99 carried them all damn season. they will play the winner of Cleveland and Tampa Bay in the playoffs next week.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to the Bruins, 5-4. i don't put much stock into preseason games. i can't wait for the season to start.
Manchester United won this afternoon in the Europa League, 3-2. they were trailing 1-0 at halftime to a team that was clearly inferior to them. so, in yet another case of superstition, i didn't watch the second half. as soon as i saw that Rashford and Martial scored, i let out a chuckle. they were originally in my starting lineup for the game. maybe ETH should ask me for some pointers...lol. United plays on Sunday at Everton.
AEW Dynamite last night was good.
all 4 episodes of Welcome to Wrexham last night were great.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.
enjoy some music:

so, mom told me last night to make sure to wake her up at 8:30 this morning. of course, this also meant that i wasn't going to get more than 4 hours of sleep. i woke her up at 8:30 like she requested. i woke her up again at 8:50, reminding her that she told me to get her up at 8:30. she wanted to be up at that time so she could call her accountant and tell him she wasn't going to bring the taxes in today, she would have me drop them off on Monday instead. i just chuckled as i sat in my room listening to the phone call. i guess there is always more time to procrastinate.
Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.
i did watch some of the NFL game last night. as soon as i saw the sack on Tua and how his hands went into the fencing response, i knew he just had a major concussion. and given the controversy from last Sunday, this should start a real hard look into the NFL's concussion policies.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Devils, 5-2. they play again tonight, this time in New Jersey.
NJPW was excellent last night.
Little Demon was fucking hilarious last night.
Atlanta was fucking great last night.
Young Sheldon was very funny last night.

the Yankees play tonight at home against Baltimore. hopefully, tonight will be the night Aaron Judge hits number 62. he would be the first "clean" player to ever do that, since McGwire, Bonds and Sosa all did it while on steroids.

the beauty of a bad back is you are never quite sure when it is going to just tap out and say fuck off. i was having a good morning and then my back decided, not today asshole. so, i grabbed some ice and headed to my massage chair. 3 hours later, i was off for my adventure this afternoon. i had to go to Rite Aid since they didn't have one prescription ready when i was there yesterday. then, i headed to Meijer to get some things. of course, the main things i was looking for they didn't have. i then had to go back to the local grocery store to get the one thing mom forgot to put on the grocery list. and then i went to McDonald's to get her Frozen Coke. i always love a day when i am eating lunch after 5 PM.
so, it looks like i'll be on Amazon.com tonight trying to find a few things.
the Yankees won last night at Toronto, 8-3. Aaron Judge hit his 61st HR last night, tying the American League record set by Roger Maris in 1961. the Yankees are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow night against Baltimore.
AEW Dynamite was really good last night.

so, i got up early this morning to watch the USMNT takes on Japan in a friendly over in Germany. right when i heard that Pulisic wasn't playing for the USA, i should have just gone back to sleep. Japan defeated the USMNT today, 2-0. honestly, the match never felt that close. i was not pleased at how the USA played at all. simply not good enough.
i went to Rite Aid and got my pills after that debacle. thankfully, there was no charge.
the Yankees won last night over Boston, 5-4, in 10 innings. i honestly thought Judge won the game in the bottom of the 9th, but his blast to center field died at the wall. i figure he will get 61 and/or 62 tonight since i can't watch it. the game is on Apple+. with the win last night, the Yankees clinched a playoff spot at the very least. the magic number to clinch the division is 6 i think.
Vice News Tonight had two great episodes this week.
Big Brother was good last night. Brittany got sent to the jury house, as i expected. Turner won the first HOH of the final 3.

i thought i was going to take mom out to look for a new chair today. i think all of yesterday just really drained her. so, that will have to take place on another day. it would probably help if her glasses would come in first and actually help improve her vision.

so, i took mom to T-Mobile today to get our phones switched over from Verizon, as the dictator wanted us to do. of course, the dictator never told us what we would actually have to do, even though she has threatened us more than once that she was just going to shut off our phones. so, after pulling some teeth, the saint that helped us at T-Mobile today got the info she needed. a big thank you to Sam for being beyond helpful today with everything. i never wanted to leave Verizon, but i was given no choice by the dictator. so, i'm hoping this goes well and i am totally happy with never having to deal with the dictator again.
the Yankees won last night over the Pirates, 14-2. Judge didn't homer though he did get 2 doubles and a walk. he still leads the American League in the triple crown categories. they start a series tonight with the Red Sox. i hope they fucking destroy them.
AEW was really good last night.
Welcome to Wrexham was excellent last night.
The Masked Singer was crazy last night. the first two reveals i nailed. i'm not sure about the third one yet. of course, they are holding that over to next week. let the Tom Brady rumors start up again.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, NJPW, Little Demon and Atlanta.
i probably won't watch much of the Browns and Steelers game tonight. i'll probably just check out some of the highlights.
i need to go to Rite Aid tomorrow and get my pills. i think mom wants to go get a new chair tomorrow as well. of course, the only place that sells the kind of chair she needs is on the other side of the county. so, there is a chance i either do the blog in the morning tomorrow or maybe much later in the afternoon.
i know today was a pretty stressful one for my mother. i hate that she doesn't have her new glasses yet. she might as well be blind now. and she gets so embarrassed when she struggles in public. and honestly, i don't think it matters how often i tell her it's ok. until she believes it... i'm just wasting my breath.

Manchester United won 2-0 yesterday in the Europa League. Sancho and CR7 had the goals. i loved that they had a clean sheet.
i need to go get dinner ready.
i picked my pills from Rite Aid today. it was another shit show. they were supposed to be ready by 11AM and i got there around 5PM and they weren't ready. i'm not one to throw a tantrum, mostly because i know the pills are going to be free. i did laugh at how everyone else was getting pissy but i knew the reason. the pharmacist today was black and i would guess 97% of the people in this town don't know that they are racist. i did love that the pharmacist put this one lady in her place while she was holding up the drive thru line. i can't wait for the white flight when more blacks start moving into Brookville. eventually, these stupid white people are going to realize they have no place else to run to.

so, i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. right as i was falling asleep, i heard mom scream in her room. i rushed in and of course, she was having a nightmare. that was at 4:07 AM. joy. i think i finally fell asleep around 5 AM. i was up at 9:30 AM. joy.
i did get my blood drawn today. two vials without any problems. of course, they wanted a urine sample and that didn't happen. so, now i have homework. the place is closed now, so i will have to take the morning piss to them. that will be fun.
the funny thing about the queen dying yesterday was it was also my sister's birthday. or, i mean, that person i am not supposed to mention because she has enough fuck you money to make my life a living hell if she so desires. karma is a sweet bitch sometimes.
Manchester United lost yesterday in the Europa League, 1-0, at home, to Real Sociedad. i was not pleased with the penalty they got and scored on. how that was a deliberate handball is a mystery to me. even with that, United was piss poor in the final third and couldn't score shit. all the Premier League games are postponed this weekend. so, i don't think United plays until Thursday in the Europa League at Sheriff Tiraspol.
the Yankees lost last night to the Twins, 4-3. they had plenty of chances to get the big hit to win, but of course, teams have finally figured out, don't pitch to Aaron Judge if you don't have to. and sure enough, no one else does anything to make them pay for it. the Yankees are 4 1/2 games up in the division. but, they are only 3 games ahead of Tampa Bay in the loss column. and here they come to Yankee Stadium for a 3 game series starting tonight.
Big Brother was good last night. Terrance was evicted first. Michael finally didn't win a veto competition and the houseguests were smart enough to take the shot and get him out. i love that he went scorched earth on the way out, which nearly worked on a few of them that did vote him out. Monte is the new HOH.
NJPW was really good last night.
