it hasn't rained here in a few weeks. hopefully, that might change later this afternoon. i need to do my laundry today. hopefully, i can do that mostly pain free. i know, that's a fucking dream.
Ohio State defeated Marshall yesterday, 49-14.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

i took a shower last night, hoping to ease the ache of my body. it didn't exactly work, but once i did fall asleep, i got a few hours of deep sleep. of course, i didn't wake up until 9 this morning, so i missed the start of the Manchester United game. more on that in a bit. we're supposed to have a run of days where it is in the 50's and sunshine. i'll gladly take them.
Manchester United won today 3-0 at home over West Ham. that is more like it boys.
i've been having some weird dreams lately. mostly about death, depravity, rainbows and laughter. i'm not sure if they are coming from being sleep deprived or they are induced from the constant pain i am in. not that it really matters to me, it is all content for the poems anymore.
the Yankees whipped Boston last night, 12-5. hopefully, they will beat them again tonight.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Lightning, 3-1. it basically all goes down to experience at this point. the Rangers haven't got to that stage where they know that they have to take it from the Lightning and not just expect talent to win it for them. will always beats skill. and unfortunately, the Rangers haven't learned that yet. now, i still hope they can find a way to win Game 6 down there on Saturday night and force yet another Game 7. but that is only coming from the small section of my heart that hasn't been fucking crushed over the years. the rest of me knows that there is a 99.999999% chance this series will be over on Saturday night.
so, this day quickly became go out and get everything i forgot to put on the grocery list day. i found most of what i was looking for at Meijer, though i did need to make another trip to Rite Aid.
of course, i nearly got into an accident on 70 today since some dumb fuck in a van that is used to rape young women got into my lane as i was getting on the highway. the semi behind us slowed way down as i'm sure he could see the smoke coming out of my ears. as i told my mother, it took every fiber of my being not to run that asshole off the road, into a ditch and then dismember the fucker. good times.
the Yankees got down 3-0 last night and i was pissed. i'm not sure why, i should be used to them pissing away chances this season. thankfully, the Yankees came back and ended up sweeping Texas, 7-3. that puts them back into the second wild card by 1/2 game. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow night in Boston.
i had the first few lines of a poem running through my head the last few days. i tried to go to sleep last night with my fan off. silly me. so, for the next hour i flushed the poem out more. i ended up writing it this morning. i love it. i will hopefully squeeze a few more out as i would love to send some more poems out before the month is over.
the Yankees won last night over Texas, 4-3. they are now 1/2 game out of a playoff spot. they play again tonight.
so, Ohio State's season starts tonight with a game at Minnesota. considering there will be a new QB and the starting center is out with COVID, i'm guessing shit will be a bit ragged to start off. but, with all the talent this team has, i do expect them to win tonight, although i am not expecting a blowout.
