today has been cloudy as fuck and only got into the 60's. i can't complain since it will be in the 90's before too long. i did a little poetry work today. i think i know where i will be sending 13 poems tonight.
a big thank you to everyone who checked out my latest published poem:
the New York Yankees won last night at home over the Dodgers, 6-4. they play tonight at the Royals.

The Chi was really good last night.
Power Book II: Ghost was nuts last night.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Lightning, 3-1. it basically all goes down to experience at this point. the Rangers haven't got to that stage where they know that they have to take it from the Lightning and not just expect talent to win it for them. will always beats skill. and unfortunately, the Rangers haven't learned that yet. now, i still hope they can find a way to win Game 6 down there on Saturday night and force yet another Game 7. but that is only coming from the small section of my heart that hasn't been fucking crushed over the years. the rest of me knows that there is a 99.999999% chance this series will be over on Saturday night.
the New York Yankees were down 7-3 at one point last night. Gerrit Cole had given up 5 fucking home runs and the Twins thought they were going to win. apparently, they had forgotten they are the fucking Twins. the Yankees scored 7 straight runs over the next few innings and won the game, 10-7. the Yankees start a series at home tonight against the Cubs.
Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.
NJPW was really good last night.
Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Real Time with Bill Maher and Pause with Sam Jay. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
the USMNT plays Grenada tonight in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Game 4 of the NBA Finals is tonight.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
before i get to an eventful afternoon, a little poetry news to pass along...
i heard back from Rusty at Live Nude Poems on my recent poetry submission. while he thought the poems i sent were fine, they were just looking for something more. ah, the old tease of a rejection letter. oh well, i got 5 to send someplace else now.
Deadliest Catch was good last night. i missed a little of the show because of the storms that hit last night.
WWE Backstage was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW and the season finale of What We Do in the Shadows.
i had to go to 3 different stores today, one of them twice, plus a trip to McDonald's for lunch, to get all the shopping done today. mom forgot to put her pickles on the grocery list and for some fucking reason, Kroger was all out of Renuzit. so, at least it all got done before the fucking storms hit the area. but, i could tell this morning it was going to be one of those days as soon as i got the paper. the air you can wear.
happy birthday to the first love of my life. i hope you have a wonderful day.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. if i happen to get some poems written tonight, maybe it will be after another batch of submissions. or maybe it will be after an afternoon power nap. who the fuck knows.
until tomorrow kids...

so today is about 5 degrees hotter than yesterday. and for Sept. 10th to be at 95 degrees, i believe i am somewhere close to hell. the headline in the paper today said the area is close to being back at the drought level. so much for the great harvest i thought we were going to have to rebound from last year.
the Yankees lost last night. i watched a little. but, like the team, i think this season has run out of steam. of course, go on a 10 game winning streak and i will think they are going to the World Series. needless to say, i'll watch a little bit tonight because i've been a fan since 1982. but, much like my youth, i doubt i will have any fun watching them.
had a very frustrating night last night. the fantasy football game i was trailing by 10 i won by 16. the one i had a 33 point lead in i lost by 3.14 points. so, i spent the next 2 hours beating myself up for not playing the TE that got more points and for drafting a RB that did absolutely nothing in week 1. if either of those would have changed not only would i have won, i would have had the most points in the league. of course, come tomorrow i'll be over it as it will be time to focus on week 2.
but to better describe this sickness, i'm currently running on 3 hours of sleep.
most of my attention this evening will be on team USA vs. Mexico in World Cup Qualifying. if the USA wins tonight and gets some help from Honduras, they will clinch a trip to Brazil for the World Cup. i will be in full throat this evening. i need to release some frustration. hopefully that happens this evening.
with it being so damn hot, i've spent most of today inside listening to music. and i managed to get a certain song stuck in my damn head, not that i'm complaining about it...
that's all for today. hope this finds everyone cool.
