i hope you had a fun, relaxing, or whatever the fuck kind of day you wanted to have on this labor day. mine has been one of relaxing, being in pain, relaxing, forcing myself to sleep, etc. i called in a couple of prescriptions i needed filled and i tried to make my eye appointment finally. i have been meaning to do that for a few months now. apathy, what a wonderful gift.
well, i guess i'll start with the Manchester United debacle. i was hoping that it would be a good game to watch. i should have turned it off at halftime, but i am a glutton for punishment. i did turn it off when Liverpool went up 3-0. this is exactly what i was fearing with bringing ETH back. now i have to stew on that loss for the next two weeks since the international break is upon us. joy.
the Yankees lost yesterday at home to the Cardinals, 14-7. they start a series tonight at Texas.
Big Brother was good last night.
Industry was very good last night.
NXT No Mercy was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw and Name That Tune.
DIRECTV and Disney are having a pissing fight, so all the Disney networks aren't on DIRECTV right now. as a sports fan, this is insane since ESPN is under that Disney umbrella. so, i will have to follow the college football game tonight on my phone i guess.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to get her hair done.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
until tomorrow kids...

so, Ohio State's season starts tonight with a game at Minnesota. considering there will be a new QB and the starting center is out with COVID, i'm guessing shit will be a bit ragged to start off. but, with all the talent this team has, i do expect them to win tonight, although i am not expecting a blowout.
the USMNT plays El Salvador tonight in World Cup Qualifying. hopefully, they will win and get this ship back on course regarding the World Cup.
the Yankees won last night over the Angels, 4-1. Gerrit Cole struck out 15 last night and Aaron Judge hit his 30th home run of the season. they are off tonight and start a series against Baltimore tomorrow night at home.
AEW was great last night.
Big Brother was good last night. Sara Beth should be the next to go to the jury house.
American Horror Story: Double Feature was fucking great last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and two episodes of What We Do in the Shadows. i watched NXT UK when i got home this afternoon on Peacock.
so mom's eye appointment went pretty well today. she's getting new glasses and sunglasses. now, the doctor told her that they will help her see a little better but she will need cornea surgery if she really wants to ever see well again. i'm pretty sure mom has no interest in that. so after we got done at the eye doctor, we had to go to the UPS store to return something to Amazon. thankfully, mom sent me the email yesterday so i had that ready to go. plus, the UPS store is on the same road as the eye doctor. there was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty fast. after that was done, we went to lunch at Perkins. that is on the same road as well. made everything pretty convenient today.
of course, 3 things in one day is the max for mom anymore. she will be asleep until tonight, for sure.
i should be on here tomorrow after i make a trip to the ATM for mom. i'm guessing early afternoon.
that's all for me kids. time to get ready for the Ohio State game.

my back has been really killing me the last few days. and when i get into these stages of constant pain, i tend to get a little irritable. not violent, not fuck the world mad, but a short enough fuse that i know the asshole inside of me wants to come out and play. that has been what i've been fighting for days now. amazingly, i was able to fight it off again today. and considering the zoo at the grocery store today, i'm a little shocked.
other than the beautiful black woman that asked me about the New Orleans Saints defense, most of the people at the grocery store were just in the fucking way. i'm very understanding with the elderly, considering i live with one. it's these fucking younger people, on their phones, with their earbuds in, basically, in some different world than the present, that are constantly just in the fucking way. and i swear, do any of these fucks understand anything about social distancing? last thing i want is someone breathing over my shoulder looking for canned peas. fuck me.
NXT last night was good. i really wish they would have crowned a new champion last night, but oh well. next Tuesday should be great.
Hard Knocks was excellent last night. i missed part of the show as a storm knocked out the satellite for a five minutes or so. i did enjoy the fact that the players completely understand that this moment in our country is too big to just sit out or say nothing.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
here are your highlights from the NBA last night:
here are your highlights from the NHL last night:
the Yankees beat Tampa last night, 5-3. Tampa got a little pissed that the Yankees did to them what they usually do to the Yankees; throw high and tight, back them off the plate, hit them if you have to. so when Chapman threw a 101 mph fastball at one of their heads last night, everyone got a little pissy. Tampa's manager basically said they have a whole pen of guys who throw 98 mph... so yeah, i am hoping for fireworks tonight. i doubt it will happen since the Yankees manager and Tampa's manager are both suspended for tonight. Chapman got 3 games. he is appealing the suspension. good times.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW, Big Brother and Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports.
i'm sure i'll probably watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight as well.
i should be on here tomorrow after i pick up my pills at the pharmacy. of course, they couldn't have them done when i was at the grocery store.
i need to do my laundry at some point. so, i will squeeze a blog in tomorrow between laundry, writing poems and going back to the store. joy.
i hope this finds everyone well. to all my friends in Minsk, keep up the good fight. to all my friends in the USA, fucking vote please. and to all my enemies, hope you enjoy the blog.

i haven't held a job where i got a steady paycheck since i was 26. so when labor day rolls around each year, i always wonder to ever give a shit about it or not. my grandmother was a member of the teamsters and my father worked for the post office for almost 40 years. i'll stick to my way i suppose.
the New York Yankees were trailing yesterday going into the 8th inning 4-0. and then, the comeback began. and this is why i think this team has the chance to be special. the Yankees scored 3 in the 8th and then hit back to back home runs in the 9th to defeat Oakland, 5-4. it's the first time they have hit back to back home runs to win a game since 2009, the last time they won the World Series. i'd love to see history repeat itself this year. the Yankees start a series with the Texas Rangers this afternoon. hopefully, they will keep on winning.
Big Brother was pretty good last night.
Power was fucking great last night.
Succession was excellent last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was very funny last night.
Ballers was good last night.
The Affair was great last night.
On Becoming A God in Central Florida was good last night.

nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. hope you enjoy your holiday or for the rest of the world, your Monday.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, most likely.
if i get the itch, i might do some writing this afternoon or tonight.

i wrote 10 poems last night. not a bad way to start off a new month. unfortunately, i had to go to a pretty dark place to write those poems. and not dark like a room with no lights on. it's probably the one thing i wish i could change about my writing process. that being said, i probably wrote the best death poem i have ever written last night. of course, i was in fucking tears while writing it, so i hope it's fucking good. i'm sure those 10 poems will find themselves in submissions this month.
we got 2.1 inches of rain yesterday. i'm sure you can imagine the misery.
the New York Yankees only had 2 hits yesterday. thankfully, that was enough. the Yankees beat the Tigers 2-1. hopefully, they will win the series with a victory this afternoon.
Ohio State whipped Oregon State yesterday, 77-31. i wish the defense would have played a little better but the offense looked like they could score at will. Ohio State faces Rutgers next week.
ALL IN: Zero Hour was excellent last night. i so wanted to be in Chicago for this. unfortunately, i wasn't and i didn't have the money to order the show either. but, the free hour on WGN America was great. and from everything i heard and saw online, the show was amazing as well.
ROH was pretty good last night.
i did flip between a few college football games yesterday. i was pretty happy to see that team up north lose again.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, America to Me, Ballers and Insecure.
Manchester United plays today at Burnley. i'd love to think United will win this game but they haven't done enough this season to allow me to think that.
i have no clue what else i may do today. i'm pondering my next moves for SoundCloud and YouTube. who knows, i may actually try to just relax today (i know, i'm laughing at the thought as well).
i'll be on here tomorrow before the Yankees play out in Oakland.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.

i remember seeing it once when i was a child on vacation in Florida. the sun was out but it was raining. 1/2 of the Days Inn was in the rain, the other half in the sun. and still when i see it to this day, i'm a little amazed. most people are more concerned that i remember shit vividly from 30 years ago.
i was in a much better mood today. of course, Frontier Communications decided they wanted to test my patience this morning. and when the internet went out, i was livid. but, i had to keep it quiet as my mother was on a conference call for work. luckily (for them), the internet was only out for 3 minutes. i guess i should expect an outage anytime it rains anymore. life out here in the sticks. can't imagine why i want to move.
the Yankees play Boston tonight. they expanded the roster today with the September call ups. i doubt they help at all. hard to believe this will be the last month of Jeter's career. unless a playoff miracle happens. i'm not holding my breath.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i didn't watch much of it as i was busy doing the blog and checking emails. hopefully Michael Sam turns down the invitation to appear on the show next week. i can't imagine this turning out good.
as for tonight, i believe the season finale of Hard Knocks is on. another chance to laugh at the Falcons. can't pass that up.
i got some free music today at NoiseTrade, iTunes, and from Kia. i'm at the point now where if it is free, i'm in. you'll see that below.
i've got a big pile of dishes to do. i suppose i should try to get that done before the baseball game.
oh, i nearly forgot the good news i had yesterday that was completely overshadowed by my anger... i lost 3 pounds last month. i'm not exactly trying to lose weight but i do know i need to lose some. so i figured dropping 3 pounds just by pure apathy is a good start.
that's all for me today. thanks for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i will be spending a good portion of today waiting to see confirmed news about Manchester United signing someone, ANYONE. one thing i have learned about news in Europe, none of it is true until it actually happens. speculation is passed as fact. personally, that drives me fucking insane.
my shitty Sunday was topped off by the Yankees pissing away a well pitched game by Andy Pettitte. watching a 3-0 lead with 9 outs to go suddenly become a 7-3 deficit and eventual loss was disheartening to say the least. they play the White Sox later today. Phil Hughes is on the mound. i put the over/under on the number of home runs he gives up at 3. i'm not looking forward to this.
Big Brother was just about what i was expecting. i already know who won the POV, so i'm really hoping the double eviction gets out the 2 bitches i can't stand, Amanda and Elissa. i'm pulling for Judd to win it now.
Total Divas was pretty funny. i love how clueless 19 year old women can be at times. nice to see Curt Hawkins get more screen time than he gets on Raw or Smackdown. (he was on for maybe 3 seconds at most).
my fantasy draft for NFL.com went pretty well. it should be another team i will be able to compete with, especially if my waiver wire moves come through. hard to believe that season starts in just a few days.
so, between this morning and last night, i have written 6 new poems. i typed all of them up this morning and i do believe i have a few winners. i think i'll be making some submissions probably early next week.
i believe i have finally figured out the kittens mystery. for almost a month i had not seen a cat nursing the 4 new kittens. but, they still weren't dead, so someone was. so, after the Yankees bullpen became arsonists yesterday, i went out to the barn. and sure enough, i caught my cat Irvine Welsh nursing one of the kittens. so, i'm going to assume that she's the mother. they are now out of the igloo, so i'm going to have to watch my steps when i'm feeding the cats in there. if i step on one of them, i'm pretty sure they will be dead.
seeing that today is a holiday in the USA, i will most likely spend most of the day watching sports and eating bad food. but other than the Yankees game and Monday Night Raw, i really have no clue what i'll be watching. football season has started, so between college and pro, there's a game on pretty much every night.
that's all for today. i have cats to feed, a newspaper to read, and a Yankees team to go bitch about.
peace and chicken grease.
