i hope you had a fun, relaxing, or whatever the fuck kind of day you wanted to have on this labor day. mine has been one of relaxing, being in pain, relaxing, forcing myself to sleep, etc. i called in a couple of prescriptions i needed filled and i tried to make my eye appointment finally. i have been meaning to do that for a few months now. apathy, what a wonderful gift.
well, i guess i'll start with the Manchester United debacle. i was hoping that it would be a good game to watch. i should have turned it off at halftime, but i am a glutton for punishment. i did turn it off when Liverpool went up 3-0. this is exactly what i was fearing with bringing ETH back. now i have to stew on that loss for the next two weeks since the international break is upon us. joy.
the Yankees lost yesterday at home to the Cardinals, 14-7. they start a series tonight at Texas.
Big Brother was good last night.
Industry was very good last night.
NXT No Mercy was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw and Name That Tune.
DIRECTV and Disney are having a pissing fight, so all the Disney networks aren't on DIRECTV right now. as a sports fan, this is insane since ESPN is under that Disney umbrella. so, i will have to follow the college football game tonight on my phone i guess.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to get her hair done.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i haven't held a job where i got a steady paycheck since i was 26. so when labor day rolls around each year, i always wonder to ever give a shit about it or not. my grandmother was a member of the teamsters and my father worked for the post office for almost 40 years. i'll stick to my way i suppose.
the New York Yankees were trailing yesterday going into the 8th inning 4-0. and then, the comeback began. and this is why i think this team has the chance to be special. the Yankees scored 3 in the 8th and then hit back to back home runs in the 9th to defeat Oakland, 5-4. it's the first time they have hit back to back home runs to win a game since 2009, the last time they won the World Series. i'd love to see history repeat itself this year. the Yankees start a series with the Texas Rangers this afternoon. hopefully, they will keep on winning.
Big Brother was pretty good last night.
Power was fucking great last night.
Succession was excellent last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was very funny last night.
Ballers was good last night.
The Affair was great last night.
On Becoming A God in Central Florida was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. hope you enjoy your holiday or for the rest of the world, your Monday.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, most likely.
if i get the itch, i might do some writing this afternoon or tonight.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow.

nothing like waking up at 6 on a Saturday morning and realizing you probably only slept a little over 4 hours. that's basically a fucking nap. oh well, shit to do...
VICE was very interesting last night.
NJPW was excellent last night.
the season finale of Treehouse Masters was very good last night.
Room 104 was really good last night.
Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus was fucking hilarious last night. think King of the Hill with stories about country music outlaws. fucking great.
Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.
the New York Yankees lost 8-1 last night. their magic number to clinch the playoffs is down to 1. so, all they have to do is win this afternoon and they are in. since Boston won last night, their chances of winning the division are basically slim to none. they might as well go in on a victory.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Islanders 2-1. if i can take any positive from the game, the power play did score again. they play again today at New Jersey.
at least the high school i went to won their football game last night, 59-0. so i gladly did some drinking for that.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
Manchester United plays Southampton this morning. i won't be able to watch the game because i refuse to pay $50 for a package to watch just one team. so, i'll follow the game online i suppose.
Ohio State takes on UNLV today. this should be a game where Ohio State wins comfortably. if it isn't, then there are some real problems with the team.
i think it's supposed to get up near 90 degrees today, so i imagine i will spend most of the day inside enjoying some air conditioning.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

Steve Earle - Colorado Girl
Shooter Jennings - The Gunslinger
Ryan Bingham - Bluebird
"You can play a shoestring if you're sincere." - John Coltrane
and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
today was one of those days that i fell into the cycle of the aches and pains that potential pop up showers always bring when around. the humidity the last few days has been fucking unbearable. thank god the air conditioning works.
i think i know which poem i will be doing for my next SoundCloud recording. look for that in the next day or so.
Deadliest Catch last night was pretty interesting. there's no way i could do that job in the winter.
i also watched Maya & Marty last night. it was much better than i expected.
the New York Yankees wasted some more good starting pitching last night, losing 4-1. the fucking offense is going m.i.a. once again. fucking figures. they will try to avoid the sweep tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT on WWE Network later tonight.
i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. the interview with Rey Mysterio was excellent.
i think the only thing i hate on earth more than losing is ignorance. and when you follow a sports team from training camp and then getting so damn close to a championship, only to come up short, AGAIN, it stings a little more with each fucking year.
the New York Rangers did the exact same damn thing they did in Game 5 last night in Game 7. i bitch and bitch about the KISS theory all the time. for those who don't know about the KISS theory, it is this: Keep It Simple Stupid. the amazing thing, it fucking works. so, once again, the New York Rangers decided to try to put on a show instead of just playing meat and potatoes hockey last night. Tampa decided to go with the KISS theory once again and sure enough, they won 2-0, just like Game 5. The King played good enough to win last night but no one on offense did a fucking thing. and then i found out after the game that the Rangers captain has been playing with a broken foot since Game 4. lovely. that's the first Game 7 the Rangers have EVER lost at home. it's the first time The King has given up 2 goals in a Game 7 since his first one. also, Tampa becomes the first team ever to defeat 3 original six teams to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. for the 3 ex-Rangers on Tampa, i wish them well. but i'll hope that whatever team comes out of the west wins it all. and i don't see myself watching much hockey the rest of the season. last night was one of those defeats that crushes a bit of your soul.
the Yankees lost last night 6-2. i didn't watch any of the game. they play again tonight. i doubt i watch that game either.
after the hockey game ended, i watched the Louis C.K. comedy special from the other night. that was fucking excellent. after that, i watched the latest episode of NJPW. that was awesome as usual.
i put on about 5 hours of sad as fuck music last night to go to sleep to. i think i might have got around 4 hours or so.
i thought mom wanted to go to the farm today but she changed her mind, mostly because of the weather, and now we are going tomorrow morning. at least we did find the titles for everything we hope that is going to sell at the auction on June 3rd.
i put together the chair last night. the directions were sort of ripped in half, so that made it a little more difficult than it should have been. plus, they were more or less vague as hell. so, once i got it done and mom didn't like it, i wasn't happy and neither was she. she ended up calling Value City and told them they can pick it up next week and take it off of her credit card. so, now i don't know what we're going to do for the chair at the desk in the kitchen. i suppose we have another folding one somewhere around here for now. it amazes me at how a company is ok with having shitty customer service. last time mom will be shopping there.
a quick comedy break as i'm trying to force myself to laugh:
that didn't work, back to the music:
i watched the FA Cup final today. that was a fucking waste of time. sadly, Arsenal broke Manchester United's record for most FA Cup titles. that really put a cherry on my shit sundae.
instead of watching hockey tonight i'll probably watch the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductions on HBO. also on the DVR tonight will be the latest episode of ROH.
i got my second package from amazon.com today. i finally got the last two Guided By Voices cds. if they are the last ones they ever do together, Cool Planet was definitely a good one to leave on. i really enjoyed it. might be their best in my mind for the last 10 years or so.
that's pretty much all for me. i've got to go vacuum the house and then watch the skies. the way my bones are starting to feel, i think there may be some rain on the way. good times.
hope everyone is having a better weekend than i am. if not, this is why they have all those bottles of alcohol available for purchase.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

considering the internet has been slower than shit once AGAIN, i'm pretty happy i was able to get done what i did.
i did go through some poems today and came up with 10 to send out. i want to write 3 more in the next day or so and then i will be able to send to 3 places that i really want to send to.
had a really good email exchange with an artist in Sweden, Janne Karlsson. he enjoys my poetry, i enjoy his illustrations, so naturally we are going to collaborate on some things. hopefully, we're going to blow some minds with this. you can check out his website here: http://www.svenskapache.se/
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. when most of the show is focused on 2 of my favorites, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, i'm going to be happy. i did have to laugh at John Cena's remarks last night that he respects the WWE too much to work anywhere else. please. no one else would want you. hopefully someone goes away to make bad movies SOON.
judging from the reports i've seen, i didn't miss much by not watching the Manchester United 1-1 draw in Sweden today. looks like Nani and Evans picked up knocks, no surprise. Zaha was great again, no surprise either. i'm really looking forward to the Community Shield on Sunday.
i might have watched 10 minutes or so of the Yankees game last night. i did catch A-Rod's first at bat, but the Yankees were already losing by then. and each time i checked back it was worse. i believe the final was 8-1. oh, did i mention that their opponent had lost 10 games in a row before last night. i just love that the Yankees are now every shitty team's cure to a bad streak. this season can't end fast enough.
Hard Knocks comes back on HBO this evening. i'll definitely watch that. and it will remind me i need to get cracking on some fantasy football shit.
a speedy recovery to Tony Stewart. first time i had to change my fantasy NASCAR lineup all season. and figures you'd break your leg a few days before a race at a track where you have won 5 times.
that's pretty much it for today. as you'll see from what i was listening to today, i was sitting around waiting for my laundry to get done while playing spider solitaire on the computer because the internet was too damn slow to do ANYTHING online for most of the day.
and mom hinted last night that Frontier Communications fucked up the bill as well. talk about a company that is wishing for some EVIL shit to come their way...
music:
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes
Tom Waits - Glitter & Doom Live (Deluxe Edition)
Johnny Paycheck - The Soul & The Edge: The Best Of
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Guided By Voices & Airport 5 - Selective Service
U2 - Achtung Baby
"An artist is somebody who produces things that people don't need to have." - Andy Warhol
i thought for sure i was in for a shit day after watching the Yankees suffer a walk off loss to the Angels (fucking house of horrors) and being pissed off going to bed.
glad i was wrong.
got startled out of sleep by a voice i was dying to hear from. always a good thing.
woke up to a poem being published at The Camel Saloon. check out the previous post for a link to it. it's one of the best poems i've written in some time.
and then something started falling from the sky. holy shit, RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it wasn't as much as i would have liked but it did last for a few hours. got everything wet at least. and there's (supposedly) more on the way.
typed up the 6 poems i wrote yesterday. they got better as they went from my chicken scratch notebook to the computer. i will probably send them out in submissions in June.
my shipment from amazon.com came 2 days early. i don't believe that has ever happened before.
now i'm off to go relive childhood dreams of a 5'9 white kid playing in the NBA.
music for today:
Grant Lee Buffalo - Mighty Joe Moon
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Ana Tijoux - La Bala
Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town
Fun. - Some Nights
Johnny Paycheck - The Soul & The Edge
yes, i agree, that combination makes absolutely no sense at all. welcome to my world.
