there's something about waking up at 5:15 in the morning to take a piss that lets me know i truly am getting to be an old motherfucker. what i truly don't appreciate is not being able to fall back asleep. if i had words swimming in my head or something else creative to do, i'd be ok with it. but when it's just checking emails and reading depressing news stories, i think i'd rather sleep. oh well.
this will be a short one today as last night was beyond fucking fruitless and i have somewhere to be in a few hours.
the New York Rangers got completely outplayed and beaten last night by the fucking Islanders, 3-0. hopefully it's just a minor blip in the grand scheme of things, but the Rangers looked like shit last night. they play again tomorrow night in Boston. that starts 3 games in 4 days. i'll see them in Columbus on Friday night.
other than the hockey last night, i was flipping between PBS and some college basketball.
one thing about waking up early in the morning, it does give me some time to fuck around on iTunes. you'll see some of the fun i had this morning below.
tonight, the Dayton Flyers are back home to take on LaSalle. hopefully, the winning continues for Dayton.
i'm hoping i get back home in time to see Lucha Underground and American Horror Story tonight. this is really why i would love to have a DVR. if i make it back home in time to see the shows, i'm going to be up until 2 in the morning to do so. it would be lovely to sleep and just watch them in the afternoon.
that's all for me today. i'll be on here tomorrow sometime, hopefully with some good news, etc., etc.
thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

i thought this was a day of rest
as soon as i opened up my email a few hours ago, i knew i was going to get really busy very soon. 2 poems accepted, another published, i won $25 at restaurant.com, checking on fantasy hockey scores, all while listening to music and the NASCAR race in the other room.
let us start with last night. my nerve pain only went crazy during the national anthem. i wasn't sure if it was how i had my head or simply the nerve reacting to the guy doing the anthem. at no other point did it bother me. so, i'm taking that as a good sign. Dayton started off slow but was playing great defense. thankfully, that defense stayed for most of the game. Dayton wins 60-48. a very nice night for the seniors. i believe they will be the 5th seed in the A10 tournament. if they can get 1 or 2 wins in that, i truly believe they will be in the tournament for the first time since 2009. i truly enjoyed that victory beer.
i have to admit, i hardly remember anything last night from Saturday Night Live. i do remember the Adam & Eve sketch, that was pretty damn funny. and i do remember the first song The National played, but other than that, nada. i suppose i needed the sleep.
got up pretty early this morning, changed the rest of the clocks and started picking up trash. got that down to the end of the lane after breakfast. saw all but one of the cats today. i'm not sure where A Boy Named Sue has gone. she is notorious for going missing for weeks on end when the weather gets warmer. i suppose being in the 40's is good enough for her.
the New York Rangers played at noon against Detroit. The King started out with the intensity that lets me know, he's ready to have a good game. and so he did. a 3-0 shutout. 2 huge points to go back into second place in the division. the 49th shutout of his career, tying the club record. his 300th victory in the NHL, putting him 1 behind the team record for wins. all in all, a lovely way to start my afternoon.
the rest of my day has been some college basketball and soccer from Italy.
the $25 from restaurant.com came as a bit of a surprise. i won it from one of the survey sites i am a member of. whenever i enter these contests, i never expect to win. i split the $25 into 3 different gift certificates, all to restaurants i have never been to before. i figure sometimes i do need to push myself out of my comfort zone.
i am really looking forward to the Sunday night shows tonight. the season finale of True Detective will be up first. i will know it is great if my sister calls right after and screams holy shit or what the fuck. i am expecting that phone call. Girls is up after that. and then i'll hop on over to Showtime to watch Episodes (some of that will include a piss break i imagine), Shameless, and House of Lies. hopefully i will stay awake for all of them.
oh by the way, i did remember to change the clock in my truck. i'm getting sharper as i get older. must be the pot i smoked in my teens.
that is all for me today. i hope everyone had a lovely weekend. i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. i'm not exactly sure when. one never knows what will be in the po box on any given day. i am waiting on a few things. and i should probably start song shopping on iTunes. so, there is a glimpse into my tomorrow.

at least the sun is out
i did manage to get some more sleep finally. but it was so disjointed; a few hours in the chair, 1 hour in my bed, 2 more hours after 3 pain pills... not fun. the cold treatments aren't working much better than the heat was earlier in the week. looks like i'll be going to the doctor before too long. joy.
my sister made it down here yesterday without any problems. she made some great pumpkin doughnuts this morning, for my birthday. i believe i might be opening gifts tonight, not sure yet. but i know i have 2 full bags of stuff from her, so i'm at least intrigued.
hopefully my mother and sister get back here before the weather turns to shit later on today. the sun is out now and we've hit our high of 22 degrees, but there is some snow headed this way. hopefully, we're not in the area that's supposed to get 6 inches or so.
the New York Rangers play up in Ottawa in a few hours as part of the Hockey Day in Canada festivities. hopefully they can get a win and enjoy the flight home for the game tomorrow against Washington.
roughly at the same time, the Dayton Flyers will be playing at Richmond, a place they haven't won at in 10 years. i'd love to see them break that streak today. a few victory beers could go a long way to making my arm feel better.
other than that. i know i will be watching Saturday Night Live tonight and ROH as well.
i suppose there will be plenty of college basketball and other hockey games i'll flip through today as well.
as for tomorrow, i'm not exactly sure when i will be on here. Manchester United plays in the morning at Chelsea. then the family is taking me to a sports bar to watch some football. and then those games will lead right into the Sunday night programming. so, maybe a quick blog at 2 in the morning as i'm struggling to fall asleep. or, if something happens tonight that i just have to talk about, maybe an early morning post before all the Sunday shenanigans begin. time will tell.
hope everyone is well. no blowups as of yet with my sister and mother and myself. all bets are off if a couple of teams lose today and my arm starts to hurt more.
be well. enjoy some of the podcasts on the right hand side of this blog. i have to go find a missing cat and decide how the fuck Kit Kat broke her damn left hind leg. all while not falling or freezing my ass off. though, burying my left arm in a snow drift has crossed my damn mind.

another day in the cold
i woke up this morning with the same headache i had yesterday. i figure it's from these mind numbing cold temps. we had a big warm up today as we actually got to positive numbers. but the windchill still made it feel like it was -30 out. good times. and the pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder/back is driving me fucking insane today. nothing quite like your left arm going numb and you get excited because you think you are getting ready to die but soon realize, no, you have been sitting in the same spot too long and the nerve is pinched again. so much fucking fun.
i watched Manchester United lay another steaming turd today at Sunderland in the Capital One Cup semi-finals. to lose to that team 2-1 takes such a lack of giving a shit it's comical. of course, the second goal was a penalty kick after a fucking dive. but, what the fuck Cleverley was doing sticking his body in there to begin with is the real question. better yet, why the fuck is he still on the team? this team is totally fucking lost without RVP and Rooney, let alone with that dumb fuck Moyes calling the shots. if he had any soul, he'd step down because he knows he can't do the job necessary for this fan base. and as much as i would love to see that happen, i know it's not happening. and honestly, if i see that fucker say one more time that the team doesn't need new players i'm going to go through the fucking roof.
and while we're on disappointments, the New York Rangers lost 4-3 in a shootout last night. thankfully, they got the 2 goals they needed in the 3rd period to at least get one point out of that shit show last night.
and i've got another major injury to my fantasy hockey team as well. looks like i'm going to have to go day by day with the team now if i want to keep my lead. both of my injured players won't be back until after The Winter Olympics. good times.
thankfully, Monday Night Raw was pretty damn good last night. i loved the ending with the Jake "The Snake" Roberts surprise. made me feel like a kid again.
i did watch the last quarter of the national title game last night. reminded me of a NBA game. all you really need to watch if the last 5 minutes. one of the better endings i have seen in awhile. and i finally got one of the big bowl games right.
i have absolutely no clue what i'm going to watch tonight. i may spend most of the evening trying to break in the new boots i got today. thankfully, the UPS truck was able to get up the lane without any problems. first birthday gift from my mother this year. first new boots since 2001. i guess it was time.
hope everyone is warm. be well. peace and chicken grease.

the worm has turned...
i woke up to some unexpected snow this morning. just enough to really fuck everything up. luckily, the guy who farms out here came out to put a few tracks in the lane. he also brought up the empty trash cans. that means i won't have to start the truck again. that was a bitch yesterday. but, it got warm after 30 minutes or so.
Manchester United won 3-0 yesterday, with the goals coming from unlikely places. Danny Welbeck gets 2, his first goals since the first game of the year. Tom Cleverley gets the third goal, his first in exactly one year. hopefully with RVP down for the month, they actually get some of the kids to help Rooney out. a big 3 points. today was the Champions League draw. when i saw United got the team from Greece i was really pleased. much better than it could have been. i love that City and Arsenal got fucked on their draw. good times.
the New York Rangers won last night 4-3 in a shootout. i was in and out of the game for the most part. here are the highlights:
the season finales last night were excellent. Homeland really surprised me. i didn't think the show had the guts to kill off a main character. Masters of Sex ended with a perfect cliffhanger. and Total Divas once again made me laugh. and it did make me move Bryan Danielson up a few spots in my book. way out punted his coverage and made sure he did everything possible to make sure he didn't fuck it up. kudos.
tonight will be my insane mix of The Voice and Monday Night Raw. i want to see as much of both shows as possible. so, it looks like i may be doing some YouTube catching up on The Voice. i am very curious how the final 3 respond to the pressure of the moment. i'd be surprised if Tessanne doesn't win it. as for Raw, any show after a ppv is usually good. hopefully that is the case.
my fantasy hockey team did just enough to get a 5-5 week. better than a losing week. as for fantasy football, yesterday couldn't have gone much better. in the CBS league, i will be playing in the finals next week. i won by 11 points, mostly because my opponent didn't take an injured player out of their lineup. which was really good, as the winning points were on their bench. as for the NFL.com one, i have a 72.50 points lead going into tonight. if i blow that, i don't deserve to go to the semi-finals.
my mom got her car into the mechanic this morning. turns out she might need a new exhaust system. hopefully that isn't a problem for the rest of the winter. or, hopefully she gets it taken care of before that vehicle becomes mine.
happy to see that the postal service still works. hopefully everyone has got what i sent out last week. a thank you to the ones that have emailed me.
well, i'm going to try to sneak in a shower and dinner before i sit my fat ass in front of the television for the rest of the evening. hope this finds everyone well. until we meet again...

too good to be true
so the other day my artist friend from Sweden said that he missed my rants on Frontier Communications. i laughed and said they hadn't fucked up here lately but i was sure they would show their true colors around the holiday shopping season. funny, just 2 days later and the internet was out for almost 9 FUCKING hours today. it just came on a little but ago. i guess it was out all over the area as it was out in town as well. around 8 tonight i asked mom if she thought anyone actually told Frontier that it was out to begin with. she laughed and called just in case. thankfully it's back on tonight.
so, to waste time today i've had a couple glasses of wine, carried some shit in for my sister (she's down for the weekend), watched a little college hockey and listened to some music. right before the internet went down i posted some pictures i took today. 24 of them to be exact. my sister joked that i crashed the internet myself. who knows, she could be right. here are my favorites from today. the rest of them can be seen on my Google+ page or in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog. enjoy.
The Big Bang Theory last night was fucking hilarious. i love the writing on that show.
my kicker paid off for me last night in fantasy football. i'm up by 12 points in both matches.
i also wrote a poem today that had been swimming in my head for almost a week. hopefully that opens the floodgates.
big sports weekend kicks off tomorrow. Manchester United in the morning. Ohio State in the afternoon, which i will miss most of because i will be at the Red and Blue game for the University of Dayton basketball program. i can't wait to see how the new players look.
not sure when i will actually blog tomorrow. i'm guessing in the evening. hopefully it will be after a few victory beers.
hope everyone has a great weekend. and hopefully your internet service provider is better than the piece of shit service provider i have.

here comes the storm
i heard the rumblings this morning but really didn't pay any attention to it. then i got the email this afternoon. so, probably before i get done with these ramblings, Andy Pettitte will be having his press conference to announce his retirement, again. the kicker is his final start at home will be on the day they are honoring Mariano Rivera. Sunday is going to be a long, emotional, fuck me runnin' kind of day.
the truly sad part of this is with yet another loss last night, the Yankees more or less have about .00000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of making the playoffs now. to see 2 of the greatest postseason pitchers of all time retire and their last games not be in the playoffs pretty much sums up the total disappointment of this Yankee season. almost reminds me of the early 90's and they had too many questions and not enough answers going into the off season.
i didn't watch much last night. just sort of flipped through the channels, avoiding the Yankees game as much as possible. not exactly sure what i'll be watching tonight either. we are supposed to have some pretty big storms come through here tonight, so i'm not sure if we'll even have power. if we don't, i'll try to break out the flip cam and take some videos. maybe a poetry reading in the dark. who knows.
thanks to those of you who have shared your comments on my latest YouTube video. i really do appreciate it.
mom got the check for the soybeans last night. it was more than i was hoping for, and i was hoping for much more than we got last year. always nice when there's more than 1 number to the left of the comma. sadly, with this rain coming, the corn harvest is going to be pushed back after the 1st of October. the corn still looks good though, so my fingers are crossed that it will still be that way come harvest.
speaking of the harvest, had a good laugh at the coyotes the other night rolling around in the field where the soybeans were, howling at the full moon. they didn't appreciate me turning on the outside lights and scaring the shit out of them.
busier than shit weekend coming up. all the sports, my mother and sister going on another trip (they haven't decided if i'm driving them to the airport or not), i have a ton of laundry to do, add on grocery shopping and getting everything ready for trash day... if i find the time to write anything on this blog i'll surprise myself. or, keep your eyes peeled for a post at 3 in the morning or so.
well, i'm off to go watch a press conference and think back fondly on the glory days.
hope everyone has a great weekend.

mom got the check for the soybeans last night. it was more than i was hoping for, and i was hoping for much more than we got last year. always nice when there's more than 1 number to the left of the comma. sadly, with this rain coming, the corn harvest is going to be pushed back after the 1st of October. the corn still looks good though, so my fingers are crossed that it will still be that way come harvest.
speaking of the harvest, had a good laugh at the coyotes the other night rolling around in the field where the soybeans were, howling at the full moon. they didn't appreciate me turning on the outside lights and scaring the shit out of them.
busier than shit weekend coming up. all the sports, my mother and sister going on another trip (they haven't decided if i'm driving them to the airport or not), i have a ton of laundry to do, add on grocery shopping and getting everything ready for trash day... if i find the time to write anything on this blog i'll surprise myself. or, keep your eyes peeled for a post at 3 in the morning or so.
well, i'm off to go watch a press conference and think back fondly on the glory days.
hope everyone has a great weekend.

funny how a few wins can ease the mind
i figured the Yankees were in for it last night as they were facing a pitcher they have had no success against. being down 4-1 didn't help my mind either. but, a couple of hits and the starter leaves... and the White Sox bullpen starts throwing batting practice. 3 pitchers and 5 runs later and the Yankees are up 6-4. oh yeah, this all happened in the bottom of the 8th. could just be the best win of the season. just 2 games out of a playoff spot. get the sweep tonight and the next four against Boston could be some fun.
Hard Knocks last night was great. i thought the scenes of them pulling the names off of the jerseys show just how cold the NFL truly is. hard to believe the season starts tomorrow. guess i'll spend most of tomorrow getting my fantasy lineups in order.
mowing the grass yesterday went much better than i thought it would. there was a good breeze all day long so it didn't feel hot at all, even though the sun was out the entire time. took me a little longer than normal given all the high grass/weeds i had to cut down. but, no sun poisoning and no extended stays in the bathroom the day after. good times.
the usual Wednesday night viewing is on tap tonight; Big Brother, Duck Dynasty, and The Bridge. i'm really hoping the baseball game is over by the time The Bridge comes on. tonight's episode looks like it will be a classic.
amazingly, my sister's birthday gifts got here early from amazon.com. so, i have spent most of this afternoon getting the rest of her stuff ready. i guess my mother and i are going up there Friday night to see her. a little early birthday bash so to speak. i guess her friend's band is playing. reggae music i do believe. so, it should be an interesting evening.
that's pretty much all for now.

who needs sleep
for some reason i was up until 4 this morning. i would think nothing of it, but for some damn reason i was back up at 7. this should be an interesting day to see how long i last on 3 hours of sleep.
while i was up late listening to podcasts, i did go through the unpublished poems. i found 11 that i passed on to the artist in Sweden. i'm very interested to see if he comes up with anything for them. they might have a life after all.
the Yankees got some decent pitching from CC last night. but decent doesn't cut it in the dog days of a baseball season. another loss 4-2. hopefully they can salvage a game in this series later today.
ROH was good last night. sadly, i know the outcome of most of the heavyweight title tournament already, but i still will try to enjoy the matches. i'm sure i will, just to see how they got to the end.
this evening will be interesting. i'm debating if i am still "cool" enough to watch the MTV Video Music Awards or not. if i do watch them, it's going to be bits and pieces. i figure my television viewing will look like this; Big Brother, MTV, The Newsroom, Ray Donovan, Total Divas, and then if i'm still coherent, the rebroadcast of the VMA's. if i do all of that, you can rest assured i will be napping this afternoon at some point.
still only saw 5 cats this morning when i fed them. but, it wasn't the same 5 from yesterday, so i'm thinking they are all still here, just scattered about because of the heat and whatnot.
got the trash out and the paper wasn't stolen this morning. so, i guess things are looking up.
i'll pass along word if the artist in Sweden comes up with any magic from my trash.
also, i'm not really pissed with my fantasy football draft results. not nearly as bad as i feared. i've got some guys i've won with before and, as long as my 2 QB's don't have the dreaded sophomore jinx, i should do pretty good this year. of course, injuries and my ability to capitalize on the mistakes of others will truly decide if i win a 3rd straight championship or not.
hope everyone has a great day.

thoughts on what could have been
after watching the Yankees win again last night, 11-3 with Alfonso Soriano having another career game (2 HR 7 RBI), i was really hoping they would get the 4 game sweep today. then, i reminded myself Phil Hughes was pitching and the chances of the sweep happening were slim and fucking none. all in all, Hughes didn't pitch horrible today. but not good enough either. the bullpen really shit the bed. and the offense let chance after chance slip by. 8-4 loss, which pretty much kills any momentum they had going up to Boston. now, i'm sure they will spin it that they won another series, the bats are warming up, etc. etc. it's too late in the season for moral victories.
i was very happy to see team USA win in Europe yesterday 4-3. first time they have ever won when trailing in Europe. i really enjoyed that victory beer. 12th win in a row i do believe.
Duck Dynasty last night was hilarious. i often find myself while i'm watching the show thinking about how my stepdad would have loved this show.
The Bridge last night peeled another layer of the onion back. i really hope this show answers all the questions by the end of the season. i've watched enough to have a ton of them. best show i've seen in quite some time.
yet again tonight, due to pre-season NFL games, i'll have to follow Big Brother via the internet. i guess i could try doing some writing as i'm doing that. who knows. i am looking forward to Wilfred tonight on FX.
hope everyone enjoyed the cartoon i posted earlier. that gives you a little taste of what Janne Karlsson and i have been working on. i really want to find a good publisher for what we've got so far. i really think it will blow some minds.
cat update:
my cats Walt Whitman and Jermaine Jackson have been officially scratched off the list. i believe they are dead as it has been over a month since i have seen them. the 2 kittens i saw in the igloo the other day are actually 4 kittens. i still have no fucking clue who the mother is, but i am leaning to believing it is Michael Jackson. hopefully i will get solid proof by this weekend.
can't believe the Premier League starts up this weekend. another 7 months of the potential of being pissed off from Saturday morning on. lovely. i like that many of the "experts" are doubting Manchester United with no Sir Alex. hopefully the team accepts that chip on their shoulder and prove everyone wrong yet again.
about 10 days or so until my fantasy football drafts. hopefully i will have luck on my side again this season.
that's all for today. i do hope this finds everyone well. and hello to all my new readers and followers in Sweden.

a rather productive day
considering the internet has been slower than shit once AGAIN, i'm pretty happy i was able to get done what i did.
i did go through some poems today and came up with 10 to send out. i want to write 3 more in the next day or so and then i will be able to send to 3 places that i really want to send to.
had a really good email exchange with an artist in Sweden, Janne Karlsson. he enjoys my poetry, i enjoy his illustrations, so naturally we are going to collaborate on some things. hopefully, we're going to blow some minds with this. you can check out his website here: http://www.svenskapache.se/
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. when most of the show is focused on 2 of my favorites, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, i'm going to be happy. i did have to laugh at John Cena's remarks last night that he respects the WWE too much to work anywhere else. please. no one else would want you. hopefully someone goes away to make bad movies SOON.
judging from the reports i've seen, i didn't miss much by not watching the Manchester United 1-1 draw in Sweden today. looks like Nani and Evans picked up knocks, no surprise. Zaha was great again, no surprise either. i'm really looking forward to the Community Shield on Sunday.
i might have watched 10 minutes or so of the Yankees game last night. i did catch A-Rod's first at bat, but the Yankees were already losing by then. and each time i checked back it was worse. i believe the final was 8-1. oh, did i mention that their opponent had lost 10 games in a row before last night. i just love that the Yankees are now every shitty team's cure to a bad streak. this season can't end fast enough.
Hard Knocks comes back on HBO this evening. i'll definitely watch that. and it will remind me i need to get cracking on some fantasy football shit.
a speedy recovery to Tony Stewart. first time i had to change my fantasy NASCAR lineup all season. and figures you'd break your leg a few days before a race at a track where you have won 5 times.
that's pretty much it for today. as you'll see from what i was listening to today, i was sitting around waiting for my laundry to get done while playing spider solitaire on the computer because the internet was too damn slow to do ANYTHING online for most of the day.
and mom hinted last night that Frontier Communications fucked up the bill as well. talk about a company that is wishing for some EVIL shit to come their way...

what to do when karma comes for you
i had a pretty damn good morning. made a good breakfast for myself (eggs, sausage, toast), was able to get through all my email without the internet fucking up, actually wrote a poem that spawned from a conversation with myself in the kitchen, and had an in and out session in the bathroom that didn't leave me in pain.
so as i'm driving into town to get the mail i start having stomach pains. the kind of pain i hadn't felt since my sciatic nerve was fucking with me years ago. on my way back in from town (of course i didn't turn around, i'm a man) i nearly hit 2 deer that were crossing from my wood lot into the soybeans across the road. as i'm going roughly 30 mph up the lane, the pain is getting worse. i get inside and make it to the toilet. as i'm pulling down my shorts and sitting in the same motion (that does wonders for my bad back), something akin to an explosion takes place. thankfully, most of the shit made the bowl.
so after cleaning up that nightmare, i read the newspaper. then, i go type up the poem i wrote this morning. (i really like this one) just as i'm getting ready to hit the grammar check, the fucking power goes out. after a few expletives, it comes back on after 10 seconds. just long enough that everything in the house needs to be reset. fuck me. so i retype the damn poem and get it saved.
i'm very curious who i pissed off in a previous life. i figured nearly dying at 32 was my karma for this life.
Big Brother last night was not the surprise CBS made it out to be. i wish they wouldn't get so fucking creative with their editing. by the way, the other racist white female is the new HOH. i guess we get to play the race angle once again this week.
Wilfred last night was excellent as well. i'm a huge fan of subconscious thought so the episode made me laugh my ass off. especially when i think of how fucking weird some of my thoughts and dreams get at times.
a quick note to TNA, if your big surprise is a washed up MMA fighter at the end of your show, you're not going to be attracting any new fans. and if you are a fan of it, more power to you. but i won't be wasting those 2 hours for that shit again.
the Yankees are out in San Diego this weekend. i'm hoping for some wins as Granderson makes another return from the disabled list. at the very least, win the damn series. i figure i'll be bouncing between that, WWE Smackdown, and whatever music i can find.
i see the CR7 rumors and Manchester United have started up again. i don't believe them but i certainly wouldn't mind if he came back.
thanks to all the kind people that dropped me some lines this week on Google+ and LinkedIn. i really appreciate it. the old ego needs a shot every now and then.
i had a change of plans giving how i felt today and the rain we're supposedly going to get this weekend. i decided i'm going to mow grass on Monday. there's no way i would be able to sit in the sun today the way i'm feeling. i would be better off just putting the shotgun in my mouth and getting it over with. plus, if we do get all this rain, i'd rather have the grass high. it tends to help the soil collect and drain properly when it's high.
that's all for today. i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully i'll write some more and get another batch ready for submissions later this month.

where does the time go
i was a little shocked last night when the Yankees scored 3 runs in the 9th to beat the Dodgers 3-0. i didn't expect that at all. and as much as i would like to think that could be the start of something, 99% of me knows this season is a lost cause. but i did enjoy the victory beer.
let me peel back the onion a bit and show you what my day has been like. i did the dishes this morning with my back only hurting a little. i have a hard time standing for more than 15 minutes at a time. took my first shit in 48 hours. then, as i was washing my hands and watching the water pressure get weaker, i knew the water filter must be full again. we've been on this month long shit now of having to change the damn filter every 10 days. i then take a shower and get ready to go into to town to mail a book out and get the mail. i stop at the end of the lane, walk across the street and there's no paper. mom later tells me it was there this morning, so i guess some fucker stole the newspaper. i then have my lunch of celery and peanut butter, not because i'm trying to be healthy, but more because i'm too fucking lazy to get some more bread at the store.
hope you enjoyed that...
The Bridge last night was excellent. i really enjoyed the twist at the end that i didn't see coming but really opens up a ton of possibilities now on who the killer is. absolutely the best show on television right now.
tonight i'll be watching Big Brother and Wilfred. i believe i know which person is going home tonight on Big Brother, just not sure if it's the black person the racist HOH wants to leave. i'd love to see it be a tie and she then has to vote out someone.
Wilfred should be the usual hilariousness that i love. i have to hand it to FX. they really have built quite the stable of great shows.
i did catch bits and pieces of the MLS All-Star game last night. from what i saw i don't believe i missed much at all.
no Yankees tonight so i'll probably catch some highlights on the MLB Network as the night goes along. and if i really get desperate, i'll watch some pro wrestling from TNA that i hardly ever watch.
as a bright spot today, i did download some great music on NoiseTrade for FREE. if you are a fan of Lucero, The Black Crowes, Alabama Shakes, Kings of Leon, etc. i urge you to get this music. it's only up for 2 weeks. you can find it by going here:
