tax day...

i actually got more than 4 hours of sleep last night. i'm guessing i must have found a slot where my pinched nerve didn't bother me. or, the rye whiskey did the trick.

the New York Rangers won last night at Florida, 5-3. it was the first time all season they had a multi-goal comeback. sure, do it after you are eliminated from playoff contention.

the New York Yankees won last night at home against the Royals, 4-1.

The Voice was excellent last night.

Monday Night Raw was great last night. WrestleMania is this weekend.

now this is the weather i love...

it has been a sunny day here. not hot, so i could actually open up the house and let the light breeze in. these are the days where i would love to fall asleep in the sun for a few hours and truly relax. i did make it to the bank today. i drove around a bit afterwards, just allowing my mind to escape a bit i guess. plus, there is enough construction around here, i have to go all these different ways to everything it seems.

here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:

the Yankees lost yesterday at Cleveland, 8-7, in 10 innings. they start a series tonight at Toronto.

i spent most of yesterday going through some baseball cards that the girl that grew up next to me had as she is moving. i guess her now ex-husband left them behind. she wanted to know if there was anything good in them. there was probably close to a thousand cards, all sports. if they would have been in better shape, there would have been plenty worth some money. i told her i found about 50 of them that she could probably sell and get a little money for. the highlight was definitely the Shaquille O'Neal rookie card.

A Gentleman in Moscow was very good last night.

The Sympathizer was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

here are your NBA highlights from the last day of the regular season:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw and The Voice.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Ottawa. this is the last game of the regular season. if they win, they get everything they played for in the regular season; win the division, win the conference, win the President's Trophy, #1 seed overall in the playoffs. so yeah, i am really hoping they win tonight.

i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to her ear doctor.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

a good chance i won't live into my 60's...

i have a tendency to wear my emotions on my sleeves, especially when watching the sports teams i love. so, when the New York Rangers lost in OT last night (4-3), i was fucking furious. angry enough that when i woke up this morning, i was still fucking furious. i'm smart enough to know that's a recipe for disaster. i suppose that's why i'm trying to suck the marrow out of life, at least while i'm here. i doubt there will be much enjoyment where i'm going.

the Rangers were 17 damn seconds away last night from winning in regulation and stealing another game in Montreal. instead, they gave up the tying goal, mostly because they were too worried about being cute instead of just clearing the damn puck by any means necessary. The King had a ridiculous 58 saves last night. he's the only reason the Rangers had any damn chance to win. so, now the series is 1-1. Game 3 is Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. if the Rangers play like they have at home for most of this season, i'll stop watching the game midway through the first period.
per usual, Montreal came out of that with a power play for some fucking reason. much like the regular season, the fucking officiating has been horrific.

thankfully, the New York Yankees got the win last night against St. Louis, 4-3. some more decent pitching and some timely home runs as well. they will go for their 6th straight win later today.

NJPW was excellent last night. i always enjoy watching The Elite wrestle.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i believe the NBA playoffs start today, so for most of the day i'll be flipping between playoff hockey and basketball.

and if i truly get bored, i'll watch the Ohio State football spring game.

i have no idea when i'll be on here tomorrow. it will most likely be after Manchester United plays Chelsea.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

another day in the cold

i woke up this morning with the same headache i had yesterday. i figure it's from these mind numbing cold temps. we had a big warm up today as we actually got to positive numbers. but the windchill still made it feel like it was -30 out. good times. and the pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder/back is driving me fucking insane today. nothing quite like your left arm going numb and you get excited because you think you are getting ready to die but soon realize, no, you have been sitting in the same spot too long and the nerve is pinched again. so much fucking fun.

i watched Manchester United lay another steaming turd today at Sunderland in the Capital One Cup semi-finals. to lose to that team 2-1 takes such a lack of giving a shit it's comical. of course, the second goal was a penalty kick after a fucking dive. but, what the fuck Cleverley was doing sticking his body in there to begin with is the real question. better yet, why the fuck is he still on the team? this team is totally fucking lost without RVP and Rooney, let alone with that dumb fuck Moyes calling the shots. if he had any soul, he'd step down because he knows he can't do the job necessary for this fan base. and as much as i would love to see that happen, i know it's not happening. and honestly, if i see that fucker say one more time that the team doesn't need new players i'm going to go through the fucking roof.

and while we're on disappointments, the New York Rangers lost 4-3 in a shootout last night. thankfully, they got the 2 goals they needed in the 3rd period to at least get one point out of that shit show last night.

and i've got another major injury to my fantasy hockey team as well. looks like i'm going to have to go day by day with the team now if i want to keep my lead. both of my injured players won't be back until after The Winter Olympics. good times.

thankfully, Monday Night Raw was pretty damn good last night. i loved the ending with the Jake "The Snake" Roberts surprise. made me feel like a kid again.

i did watch the last quarter of the national title game last night. reminded me of a NBA game. all you really need to watch if the last 5 minutes. one of the better endings i have seen in awhile. and i finally got one of the big bowl games right.

i have absolutely no clue what i'm going to watch tonight. i may spend most of the evening trying to break in the new boots i got today. thankfully, the UPS truck was able to get up the lane without any problems. first birthday gift from my mother this year. first new boots since 2001. i guess it was time.

hope everyone is warm. be well. peace and chicken grease.
