so, today has been a pretty quiet Friday. we got a little snow last night, not much at all. plenty of sunshine today. even made it into the 20's. fucking heatwave.

i did write one poem last night. i'm hoping i'll have a few more to write tonight.

it certainly, really feels like fall now...

the house is down to 68 degrees. i believe it was in the low 40's overnight outside. the high today will only be in the 50's. my favorite time of year.

so, let's begin where we left off yesterday. i wasn't pleased with Manchester United getting down to Brentford 1-0 26 minutes into the game. it was a painful watch to say the least. right up until Scott McTominay came into the game. he scored in the 93rd minute and then the winner in the 97th minute. they really needed this win. and i hope this is the beginning of a much better future than what it was looking like was coming.

Ohio State started off like shit yesterday. as i told my mother, this always seems to happen anytime Gus Johnson is calling their game. thankfully, it didn't stay that way. Ohio State defeated Maryland yesterday, 37-17.

i did watch a few college football games yesterday.

WWE Fastlane was excellent last night.

AEW Collision was very good last night.

Austin City Limits was great last night. i have always been a fan of Rodrigo y Gabriela.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Billions, Power Book IV: Force and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play at New England today. hopefully the Saints will find a way to win.

i'm sure i will watch some other games today as well.

i did catch some of the MLB playoffs yesterday.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

may we never forget...

before i get into all the happenings of yesterday, a moment of silence for those who lost their lives on 9/11 twenty one years ago today. may we never forget...

Ohio State won yesterday, defeating Arkansas St., 45-12. next up will be a night game next Saturday at home against Toledo.

the New York Yankees won yesterday against Tampa Bay, 10-3. that clinches the season series against Tampa, something that could come into play if the teams end up tied at the end of the regular season. hopefully, that won't happen. the Yankees will go for the series win this afternoon.

i did watch plenty of college football games yesterday.

i also watched plenty of MLS games yesterday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Last Week Tonight, VICE, City on a Hill and Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

the New Orleans Saints play at Atlanta today. hopefully, the Saints will win.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of the NFL games today.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get back home from my doctor's appointment.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

and then the whispers become a scream...

the quiet moments, sitting alone, in front of a computer, wondering what to type, wondering who even bothers to read this shit anymore, it eventually becomes this scream in the back of your head. and we all know that you can't muffle it, you can't change into lyrics or some heavy metal riff from your youth. that scream becomes the soundtrack to the rest of your life. that uneasy knowledge that you aren't better than this. that every fucker that has put you down or dragged you through the proverbial mud, or stole from you over the years... they were right. these are the moments i think about when i was 8 years old and first thought of suicide. it was also the year i realized i was molested at the age of 4 by a female cousin. also the age i started masturbating to Pam Grier movies. there's the glorious backstory on how to become a poet boys and girls. add in a love of cheap whiskey, 10 years of smoking 2 packs a day and an endless array of how to creatively use the word fuck.

this is what happens when the afternoon gets so humid you sit at the computer and dream of your death. all i could picture was a dog taking a piss on my headstone. better than my usual dream of my ashes being flushed in a truck stop in northern Ohio. good times.

so, the Yankees played one of the craziest games i ever saw last night. they blew the lead 4 different times in the game, but defeated the Royals, 8-6 in 11 innings. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was good last night, but could have been way better.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks.

so, mom called her physical therapist last night and got her to change her visit to the house to later this week.

we made it to the podiatrist in plenty of time. she had some paperwork to fill out. at least this one is way closer to the house than the last one was. i thought the office had a good vibe and everyone was really nice. i think mom felt much better when she was done. i got her a frozen Coke on the way home.

i need to pick up the trash and get that out to the curb.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. now, with the Yankees playing in the afternoon tomorrow, there is always the chance i get the blog done in the morning. who knows.

let's see how i do on 3 hours of sleep...

when i saw that the low was going to be 76 last night, i knew i wasn't going to have a chance in hell of getting any good sleep. sure enough, i got roughly 3 hours of sleep before i got up this morning to watch Manchester United play.

Manchester United won 1-0 over Inter Milan this morning over in Singapore. Mason Greenwood, who is all of 17 years old, scored the game winner. i really liked how United pressed in the game, always seemed to be on the front foot. if that is how they intend to play this season, i will be a happy man.

i had to take mom to the drugstore this morning. and then she wanted me to take her to get breakfast at McDonald's. it's hotter than fuck outside already.

the New York Yankees defeated Colorado last night, 8-2. hopefully, the train keeps rolling on this afternoon.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

the season finale of Los Espookys was pretty good last night.

Shangri-La was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and ROH.

i will probably watch plenty of baseball and soccer today while napping as much as possible in my massage chair.

it currently feels like 97 outside. the feels like temperature is supposed to get up to 110 today. joy.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow, before the Yankees play and before the baseball hall of fame ceremonies.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

until tomorrow kids...

it must be near the end of summer...

i was sitting in here on the computer this morning and happened to look out the window. much to my surprise, there was probably 15 or so wild turkeys walking in the side yard. i got my camera to try to get a picture and of course, by the time i got out there they were already in the corn field. but, that's obviously a sign summer is coming to a close soon. and when fall hits out here, this place truly becomes a fucking zoo.

so i did all that stuff yesterday morning to make sure i had everything done for the Yankees game. of course, that Yankees game started 3 1/2 hours late because of rain. just lovely. but, the Yankees did complete the sweep of the Blue Jays, winning 5-3. they are now 3 1/2 games out of a playoff spot. with 35 games left, that is absolutely doable. they start a huge series tonight in Tampa. i never like watching games in that dump. i will keep close tabs on the game though.

a big thank you to the fan that sent me 2 random photos of her in lingerie. what a great way to kill time in a rain delay.

i got 2 of my 3 wishes answered last night on Big Brother. Helen is out of the house. Judd is back in the house. unfortunately, that cunt Elissa is the new HOH. cue the Meatloaf song now. this will truly be a week where production will be calling the shots.

Wilfred was hilarious as ever last night. when you start off an episode with a dog at a glory hole, you really can't go wrong from there.

as for tv viewing tonight, maybe a little wrestling, perhaps some Food Network programming, a little baseball, and perhaps some football.

another weekend of the Premier League is coming up. Manchester United doesn't play until Monday afternoon. so, i'll be keeping my nerves under wraps until then. or, at least trying to do so.

i believe my first fantasy football draft is this weekend. that should be interesting.

also, got a fucking hilarious cartoon this morning from the artist in Sweden based on an email conversation we had the day before. i would show it but i'm hoping to include it in the book. hopefully i'll hear back from the first publisher i sent the proposal to. if it gets picked up, there are already some YouTube videos in the works. i'm really excited to spring this upon the world.

i guess the internet nearly exploded when the news came out that Ben Affleck is the new Batman. that surely has to be a sign of the coming apocalypse right?

i suppose that is all for today. i do hope everyone has a great weekend. enjoy some good times, better weather, etc. unless of course you're near a wildfire... may some rain be coming your way.
