i'm going to start this blog off with the WWE Elimination Chamber from last night. i was pleasantly shocked that the whole show was better than i was expecting. of course, what everyone is talking about now is John Cena finally turning heel. teaming with the Rock to destroy Cody Rhodes was not on my bingo card. as one person put it last night, the road to WrestleMania just went from 0 to 100 pretty fucking fast.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

better late than never...
Saturday, March 1, 2025
and here comes march...
so, i woke up last night at 4:45 AM to take a piss. i tried to get back to sleep, but it never happened. by 7, i was up and taking my pills, etc. i know at some point today, i am probably going to crash pretty hard. joy.
Smackdown was good last night. i can't wait for the Elimination Chamber tonight on Peacock.

anger still exists on just 2 hours of sleep...
so, i got up at 3:30 this morning. i guess the nap i got in the afternoon rested me more than i thought. so, i was able to watch WWE Elimination Chamber live this morning. it was a better show than i was expecting to be honest. and that made it well worth my time.

so, it is going to snow again...
i guess we're supposed to get some snow overnight. if i actually get up in time to see the WWE event in Australia, i might actually see it snowing. not that i am looking forward to it. it shouldn't last long with the temperatures we've been having.
my back was in so much pain this morning/afternoon that when i put some ice on it i think i drifted off into a mini coma. i know i must have slept for a few hours. i needed it.
the New York Rangers won last night at New Jersey, 5-1. that's 9 wins in a row. i'm trying to not get ahead of myself, but i am definitely getting the 1994 vibes again.

so far a happy Sunday...
i didn't get to bed until 5 AM this morning. so, i missed the start of the Manchester United game. when i finally did wake up, United was up 1-0 at halftime. i did watch the entire second half. Rashford scored twice today and Sancho added the third goal. United won 3-0. another clean sheet for David de Gea. i believe that ties the club record for that. next up will be the second leg against Barcelona on Thursday.

going to be one of those weekends i guess...
we had a cold sunshine this morning. my bets in the Premier League shit the bed. and mom and i both needed to go to the bathroom at the same time this morning. oh joy. at least the toilet in the bathroom that is being remolded is still hooked up and functioning. our second bathroom is so fucking packed with shit, it is amazing either one of us fits in there to do anything. i did make it to Rite Aid and Lowe's today. i got my prescription at Rite Aid and mom got the paint she wanted for the bathroom at Lowe's. now, i'm hoping the rest of today will be relaxing and well shit, who am i kidding? it will be nothing but stress until wrestling starts tonight. and then, hopefully, i will be fucking entertained beyond belief.

the New York Rangers got down last night in Edmonton, 4-1, in the first period. i was not happy. so, you can imagine the joy i had last night when the Rangers won in a shootout, 5-4. these are the type of games that make me think something magical is possible once again. they play tonight in Calgary.

finally, a good start to a Sunday...
so, i got what i guess i can call some decent sleep last night. my arms weren't killing me the entire time. and i got what i needed to get done this morning (put the dishes away, make coffee) in time to watch Manchester United play at Leeds.
when United went up 2-0 by halftime, i was pretty pleased. of course, by 10 minutes into the second half, it was 2-2. thankfully, Fred of all people scored the game winner. Anthony Elanga added in the insurance and United won 4-2.

welcome to the weekend...
it was cold as fuck this morning. i went out to get the paper and with the wind blowing like someone was pissed off, it had to be in the single digits. glad i fed the birds yesterday.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both good last night.
Sunday, March 8, 2020
certainly a night to remember...
so when i got home, i found out the New York Rangers lost to the Devils, 6-4. i didn't bother to find the highlights.
The Shop was really good last night.
ROH was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Batwoman, the season finale of The Outsider, Avenue 5, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Last Week Tonight, Our Cartoon President, Homeland and the last two episodes of the season of Kidding.
here are your XFL highlights from yesterday.
i do plan on watching WWE Elimination Chamber tonight. i'm hoping it will be better than what i'm expecting.
Manchester United plays at home today against Manchester City. i would love if the boys pulled off the double today.
the Dayton women's team plays VCU today in the A10 final. i'd love to see Dayton get that automatic bid to the women's NCAA tournament.
i might be on here tomorrow before i have to go get an ultrasound done. or, i might be on here afterwards. i can't have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight and my appointment is at 2:30 in the afternoon. oh joy.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.
until tomorrow kids...

i'm running on 4 hours of sleep...
the New York Rangers lost yesterday at Pittsburgh 6-5. it was an entertaining game, and i couldn't give two shits if the Rangers win or lose anymore this season. my mind is more fixed on who are they going to trade at the trade deadline 7 days from now.
WWE Elimination Chamber was really good last night. i love who they made the first female tag team champions. i love that Finn Balor won the Intercontinental championship. i love that The Miz and Shane lost the Smackdown tag team titles, and i absolutely loved Daniel Bryan keeping the WWE Championship. Kofi Kingston was amazing again in the main event. and i fucking love that The Man showed up and beat the shit out of Charlotte and Ronda Rousey.
Total Bellas was pretty good last night.
True Detective was great last night. i fucking can't wait for the season finale next week.
Crashing was good last night.
High Maintenance was excellent last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious as usual. so happy that the show is back.
Shameless was really good last night, especially the ending.
Black Monday was really, really good last night.
SMILF was better than usual last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i didn't get to see any of the game, but Manchester United did defeat Chelsea today, 2-0 in the FA Cup. Ole is the first manager to win at Chelsea since Sir Alex. this puts United in the quarterfinals against Wolves. that won't be an easy trip. i do love the response from the team after losing to PSG. next will be a match at home against Liverpool.
it snowed for most of today. thankfully, it didn't really accumulate.

i will be on here hopefully before Dayton plays at Davidson tomorrow. mom has a scan tomorrow that is supposed to take maybe 3 hours or so. this is to check what her MRI showed. i'm hoping it goes well and we don't have a fucking cancer scare to deal with now. good times.
until then kids...

so, the neck gets better and the back gets worse...
i turned off the Dayton Flyers game yesterday when they were down by 22 against VCU. i did follow the score and when Dayton started making their comeback, i never turned back to the game. superstition was running the show now. Dayton did come all the way back but of course, ended up losing to VCU, 69-68. that pretty much eliminates Dayton from having a chance to win the conference now. so, i guess the goal will be to finish in the top 4. that should be doable, even though you can tell they badly miss Trey Landers. and given the brace he was wearing on his shoulder yesterday, i have no clue when he will be back.
i did watch most of the NBA All-Star Saturday Night festivities. the slam dunk contest was better than the last few years. i loved that Steph Curry lost the 3 point shootout and i always love when a big man wins the skills competition.
Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night.
ROH was very good last night.

i doubt i watch much of the NBA All-Star game tonight or the Daytona 500 this afternoon.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon at Pittsburgh. i'd love to see the Rangers win today, but i'm not expecting them to.
