as i sat down to watch the Manchester derby yesterday, i was hoping for the best. 35 seconds in, i was fucking buzzing. when Bruno scored the penalty, my hopes got much higher. when Luke Shaw of all people scored the second goal, i was through the roof. this was easily the best game United had played all season. Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-0. that ended City's 21 game winning streak.
the New York Yankees defeated the Phillies yesterday, 4-0. they are off today.
the New York Rangers lost at Pittsburgh last night, 5-1.
i did watch a good portion of the NBA All-Star game festivities last night. i thought it went about as well as anything could go in the pandemic.
Axios was very good last night.
Allen v. Farrow was good last night. it was yet another example of why i hate the rich.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.
Vice was excellent last night.
The Luminaries was really good last night.
Shameless was hilarious last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night.

it got up into the 60's today. as soon as i walked outside to get the mail, i wanted to grab a lawn chair and take a nap in the sun. of course, it's supposed to rain in a few days. joy.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
the ceremony to honor the seniors last night before the Dayton Flyers game against George Washington was good. the first half of the game was not. Dayton was only up by 1 at halftime and honestly, had played like shit for most of the first half. and for about the first five minutes or so of the second half, it continued. all i could think about was the College GameDay curse has struck again. San Diego State lost and now Dayton is pissing away a chance to be a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. but, like this team has done so many times this year, they put together a run that was fucking amazing to watch. Dayton quickly turned a close game into a fucking blowout, defeating George Washington 76-51. good teams win, great teams cover. the team cut down the net after the game to celebrate going 18-0 in the A10. they won't have an easy road to win the conference tournament, but if they do so, they should get their highest seed EVER in the NCAA tournament. and i haven't even mentioned the fucking show Obi Toppin put on last night. i had a feeling, given that it was most likely his last game ever at UD Arena, he was going to make it a memorable one. 3 dunks in about 90 seconds in the second half did just that. dunked in a guy's face; gets a steal and does a 180 and then on the next possession, goes between his legs and dunks. the guys behind me, who must have been in their 20's, were losing their fucking minds. i'm so happy for this team. easily, the best Dayton team in my lifetime. i hope they go to Brooklyn and destroy everyone and keep this magical season going.
so when i got home, i found out the New York Rangers lost to the Devils, 6-4. i didn't bother to find the highlights.
The Shop was really good last night.
ROH was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

Manchester United plays at home today against Manchester City. i would love if the boys pulled off the double today.
the Dayton women's team plays VCU today in the A10 final. i'd love to see Dayton get that automatic bid to the women's NCAA tournament.
i might be on here tomorrow before i have to go get an ultrasound done. or, i might be on here afterwards. i can't have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight and my appointment is at 2:30 in the afternoon. oh joy.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.
