so, it is going to snow again...
i guess we're supposed to get some snow overnight. if i actually get up in time to see the WWE event in Australia, i might actually see it snowing. not that i am looking forward to it. it shouldn't last long with the temperatures we've been having.
my back was in so much pain this morning/afternoon that when i put some ice on it i think i drifted off into a mini coma. i know i must have slept for a few hours. i needed it.
the New York Rangers won last night at New Jersey, 5-1. that's 9 wins in a row. i'm trying to not get ahead of myself, but i am definitely getting the 1994 vibes again.

what a win...
i was up early this morning, to make sure i would be wide awake when the electrician got here. they got what they needed to get done before we had to leave for mom's appointment at the foot doctor. we got there a little early and everything went pretty smoothly. mom wanted some Wendy's after her appointment, so we went through the drive-thru and took the food home. we were done with lunch by the time Manchester United was taking on Barcelona.
when Barcelona went up 1-0 in the first half, i wasn't happy, but i wasn't afraid either. the one thing ETH has done for this club is once again instill the belief that borders on fucking arrogance that United will always come back. sure enough, Fred scored in the first two minutes of the second half. Antony scored with about 20 minutes to go and United won, 2-1. that means they will advance to the final 16 of the Europa League. they knocked out Barcelona, 4-3 on aggregate. now, they have a cup final on Sunday that could bring the first trophy to the club in 5 years. i can't fucking wait.

today is going to be crazy...
i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. i thought maybe a good long shower would help. it didn't. every time i thought i found a good position, the pinched nerves in my arms would fire up. i almost feel like i'm just going to have to drink myself to sleep one of these nights. talk about reliving my youth.
NXT was really good last night.

one down, many more to go...
mom's doctor's appointment was long, like i predicted, but at least she got some clarity on what meds she should be taking and what she can stop taking. i swear, if you saw our kitchen table right now, it's like a scene out of Drugstore Cowboy.
Monday Night Raw last night was good, for the most part.

been a busy boy here in the last 15 hours or so...
the Dayton Flyers started off a little sluggish yesterday against Duquesne. for only the second time this season, they trailed at halftime. apparently, Coach Grant reamed their asses at halftime and the boys responded. Dayton won 80-70. and given that 3 of the top 4 teams lost yesterday, Dayton could be moving up to the top 4 teams in the country. what a time to be fucking alive. Obi Toppin scored 28 points in the game, which put him over 1,000 points in his career. he achieved that in just 60 games. Dayton plays on Tuesday night at George Mason.
the New York Rangers won last night over San Jose, 3-2. Igor Shesterkin made 44 saves for his 7th win in a row. not bad to win 9 of your first 10 starts in the NHL. suddenly, the Rangers are 4 points out of a playoff spot now, with 2 games in hand. the trade deadline is tomorrow. i have no damn clue if the Rangers are going to sell or buy.
here are your XFL highlights from yesterday:
ROH was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Batwoman, The Outsider, Avenue 5, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Last Week Tonight, Our Cartoon President, Homeland and two episodes of Kidding.
i got almost 5 hours of sleep last night. almost. i did get my laundry done last night as well.
Manchester United defeated Watford today, 3-0. Bruno, Martial and Greenwood got the goals. United are now three points out of 4th place in the league with 11 games to go.
i'll probably flip between sports today and try to get some more rest.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.
i should be on here in the afternoon tomorrow.
until then...

waking up with an elephant on my back...
i am still planning on going to the basketball game today. hopefully, that will happen.
NJPW was really good last night.
WOW was good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.
2 Dope Queens was fucking great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
the New York Rangers play today at home against New Jersey. i believe the Rangers have scratched the players they are planning on trading by Monday. that's probably for the best as they do need to continue the rebuild.
the Dayton Flyers play today at home against Saint Louis. i'd love to see Dayton win and get a little revenge for Saint Louis destroying them a few weeks ago. Obi Toppin is one dunk away from equaling the season record for Dayton.
the New York Yankees play their first spring training game today against Boston. hard to believe it's time for baseball again.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays.
i know right after that the Rangers will be playing in Washington against the Capitals, so the blog will be a mid-afternoon one most likely.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

one of those days...
i've had a poem stuck in my head for most of the day. the internet was down for a bit before i started this blog. so, i took advantage of that time and wrote it down on paper. i haven't typed it up yet as i think i have a few more up there waiting to bleed out.
the New York Rangers lost last night up in Montreal 3-1. they traded Michael Grabner last night to the Devils and are in the process of trading Rick Nash somewhere before the trade deadline on Monday. hell, i think just about every name except The King is up for a possible trade. as for the game, they simply didn't generate enough until the 3rd period to ever have a chance. if they could have played the whole game like that period, they might have won. they play again tonight at home against Minnesota.
Lip Sync Battle was fucking hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Celebrity Big Brother, NJPW, Treehouse Masters, High Maintenance and 2 Dope Queens.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight at Rhode Island. Rhode Island is one win away from winning the A10 regular season outright. i'm going to just guess and think they will want to get that win tonight. and even though Dayton is on a two game winning streak, i don't give them much of a chance on making it three tonight.
i did enjoy watching team Canada lose in men's hockey this morning at the Winter Olympics. i honestly can't believe Germany is in the Gold medal game. they will play Russia for the Gold. Canada will take on Czech Republic for the Bronze.
i did watch a little of the New York Yankees this afternoon when i got home from the grocery store. they defeated Detroit 3-1 in their first spring training game of the season. hopefully that's the first victory of many this year.
i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. all the rain we were supposed to get today is coming tomorrow i guess. i know i need to get my laundry done at some point this weekend. and lord knows i'll probably have to run out and get something for mom.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully the sun actually exists wherever you happen to be.

i got some great FREE music today on NoiseTrade. i'll post the links below in the music section.
NXT was pretty good last night. i love that one of my favorite indie wrestlers of all-time(Chris Hero) is back. hopefully he gets a major push this time around.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces and Baskets.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Toronto. it would be nice if the boys could get a win tonight. i need a drink.
mom wanted Chinese food for lunch today. i'm not a big fan of having body parts swell from too much salt, so i only got some pork egg rolls and crab rangoon. my fortune cookie made me laugh though. it said the mysterious side of your nature makes you most alluring. i laughed and wondered when a female is going to figure that out.
i'll be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon, hopefully.

i haven't marked out like that in years
Shane hasn't been on WWE television in something like 6 or 7 years. and when he said he's come back to save the company, i was thrilled. not because it will actually happen, but it will make shit more interesting and opens the possibilities for WrestleMania. i had heard the rumor that The Undertaker was going to take on someone not on the roster. taking on Shane McMahon in Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania was one of those out of fucking nowhere things that was simply amazing. knowing Shane, even at 46, he's going to do something totally fucking crazy.
the only thing that bothered me about the show last night was there was no Kevin Owens. that's dropping the ball right there. they could have used that useless segment between AJ Styles, Chris Jericho and The Social Outcasts to set up a feud between Owens and Styles for WrestleMania. that would be awesome. although, i did like how the show ended.
of course, i found out this morning that the blood was fake. that's too bad. all in all, a great Monday Night Raw, something i haven't said in quite some time.
i watched The X-Files this morning as i tried to get some sleep last night. that was a mind fucker for real. and the ending left me feeling like what the fuck. if all my questions were going to be answered, how do you end on a cliffhanger? although, i could totally see what happened in the show actually happening. i wouldn't doubt some rich fucks don't already have a plan in action to eliminate most of the "unwanted" in the world.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and Total Divas.
the New York Rangers play at New Jersey tonight. hopefully they can get another win.
the Dayton Flyers play at St. Louis tonight. this is a MUST win game or they will go from being a "lock" for the tournament to being on the bubble.
hopefully i am enjoying two victory beers tonight.
i know i have to drive mom to her physical therapy in the morning, so i won't be back on here until sometime in the afternoon.
i have trash to pick up now and laundry to get done. the weather is supposed to get a little crazy after the sun goes down tonight, so i'd love to have some shit done before then.
i hope this finds everyone in a good mood enjoying a cold drink or a hot someone.

who doesn't love a quickie?
IT'S FUCKING COLD OUTSIDE
a high temp of 13 today. holy shit, i can't wait to start loading up cars and vans to move my life in this shit. fuck me.
here's a quick view of my yesterday...
the New York Rangers blew another fucking lead (3-0) but held on this time to beat Columbus in a shootout (4-3). here are the highlights from the game:
i did watch a bit of the Academy Awards last night. here is the only thing i saw that i thought was worth anything:
the Sunday night shows were good. The Jinx took another twist that was fascinating. Girls was pretty funny. Togetherness was really good. Last Week Tonight had yet another brilliant 30 minutes of news and comedy: for example:
Total Divas was good as well last night.
Togetherness actually helped me finish the damn poem that was stuck in my head for two days. i didn't know how i was going to finish it and then something clicked while i was watching the show. i typed the poem up this afternoon (once the computer started working correctly again) and i really like it.
tonight is a true clusterfuck on television for me. Gotham, Monday Night Raw, and The Voice are all on at the exact same time. now, next week, when i FINALLY have a DVR, i will no longer have to bitch about this. but, for tonight, i guess the plan is to watch Gotham and then flip to The Voice and Monday Night Raw during the commercial breaks. since Raw is the night after a ppv, i will probably watch that more. but, i know if i'm up at 3 or 4 in the morning, i'll be playing catch up on YouTube with both shows. either that or hunting for boxes to fill up with old music and books. good times.
that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great, wonderful weekend. if not, it could always be worse. you could be going to live next to the father of the cousin that molested you. anyone want that fresh slice of hell? or at the very least, would you like to help me pack a few boxes? just asking.

a sleepy Sunday
ROH last night was excellent. both matches were sensational, especially Kevin Steen vs. Kyle O'Reilly. that match had a little of everything. Steen is one of my favorites in the indie scene. he always manages to make me laugh watching a match of his and then say holy shit 2 minutes later with some crazy move. of course, he doesn't fit the WWE mold of what a wrestler should look like, so he'll never get to the level of fame he deserves. so sad.
i did watch the gold medal game in hockey at the Winter Olympics this morning. when i heard that Sweden's top center was out because of illness (which later turned out to be a failed drug test) i knew they were in trouble. and frankly, if The King wasn't in goal, Sweden would have lost by more. 3-0 when you are completely outmatched is not bad. i was happy that The King was named to the all tournament team as top goalie by the media. he certainly deserved it.
i fell asleep watching the Daytona 500 today only to wake up to the race being red flagged because of a tornado warning. good times.
i was able to get everything i had to do this morning done, even with my lower back feeling like it was getting ready to go on strike. that was not fun, but i powered through it. might be another pain pill in my future this evening.
i am looking forward to my Sunday night shows tonight. i got my sister hooked on the show True Detective. it's the best show going today. Girls has been on a pretty good streak. Shameless is as good as it has ever been. House of Lies and Episodes are my come down shows. i think they help lead me into sleep around 1 or 2 in the morning.
also, i'll probably be following the ppv for the WWE tonight on the internet. should be an interesting one.
that's all for me today. got to get my mind ready for lows in the single digits again. thankfully, the propane tank got filled just the other day.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon/early evening. hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. enjoy the final few hours of it.
be well.

my start to the weekend
with that said, Manchester United quickly changed my mood this morning. a 2-0 win over QPR. Rafael with maybe the goal of the year or possibly his life and Ryan Giggs with a beauty in the second half. 15 points clear going into the massive game tomorrow of Manchester City vs. Chelsea. i'll be up to watch that one and hopefully see 2 teams struggle with the reality that all there is for them now is second place.
and of course, the good feelings only lasted so long. i listened to the Dayton Flyers run out of gas against UMass and lose by 10. a game they probably could have won if they would have remembered to rebound the ball. oh well, this season is more or less lost by now. i figure if i drop any expectations of them maybe they'll actually do something good. or maybe not.
not exactly looking forward to the New York Rangers game tonight. first, no Rick Nash (again). second, the injuries and the flu are catching up with them. lastly, Montreal is a house of fucking horrors for them. i will be interested to see if Christian Thomas makes his debut tonight. the kid has an unbelievable shot. might be the only bright spot if this game goes like the last few up there have gone.
hopefully i will be wrong.
tomorrow will be doing whatever i can to forget the Academy Awards are on. i didn't see one movie that is nominated. truly a matter of i couldn't care less who wins. i think i'll be a little more interested in what is going on with my fantasy hockey team. let alone the Daytona 500 and all that bullshit. and yes, i have a fantasy NASCAR team as well.
i heard from my publisher yesterday. Sofisticated White Trash should be hitting the streets in March. you have been warned.
