it has been very windy today. and apparently, winter will return this weekend. joy.
so, i did catch some of the shit show that happened in the oval office today. if anyone in this country actually thought Orange Hitler and his puppet vice president actually gave a shit about Ukraine, if you still believe that after today, you are one of the dumbest motherfuckers that has ever existed. i'm sure that every previous president that knows just how fucking evil Russia really is can't fucking believe this bullshit either. i'm sure Putin is laughing his ass off as Orange Hitler is doing exactly what Putin wants. fucking nuts.

i did write 3 poems last night. i'd like to get back into doing that every few nights of the week. mom has me so fucking stressed these days, i haven't been able to do much at all. i think she finally is coming out of the fog she has been in for the last 3 days. she only slept for almost 13 hours today. told me that she took her gabapentin for the first time in a week. that's the same gabapentin i had to call in a day ago because she finally told me she didn't have anymore.
that's all for me kids, until tomorrow...

i guess we're supposed to get some snow overnight. if i actually get up in time to see the WWE event in Australia, i might actually see it snowing. not that i am looking forward to it. it shouldn't last long with the temperatures we've been having.
my back was in so much pain this morning/afternoon that when i put some ice on it i think i drifted off into a mini coma. i know i must have slept for a few hours. i needed it.
the New York Rangers won last night at New Jersey, 5-1. that's 9 wins in a row. i'm trying to not get ahead of myself, but i am definitely getting the 1994 vibes again.

so, like the devoted fan i am, i got up at 7:15 this morning to watch Manchester United. i went to bed a little after 3 in the morning. 4 hours more or less, ok, let's go. and much like the last game, Manchester United got up 1-0 from a Jadon Sancho goal. and just like the last game, a few minutes into the second half, United pissed away that lead. and i guess this is the new normal. United and Southampton finished 1-1. honestly, i don't think United wants to finish in the top 4. so fucking frustrating to watch.
team USA men's hockey team defeated Canada for the first time in 12 years at the Olympics last night, 4-2. i didn't see that one coming.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was very funny last night.

the Dayton Flyers play at home this afternoon against George Washington. i believe the game is on ESPN+. it snowed here this morning. you add that with my Manchester United frustration and i think i'll watch the game at home today.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow, long before the Super Bowl starts.

pulling the weeds yesterday took more out of me than i thought it would. at least i fucking remembered to put on some sunscreen. of course, i still got a sunburn, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. now, for the birdfeeder they wanted me to take from next door, that was a completely different story. i got most of it over to here, but the ground was holding on to the rest of it. no birdfeeder is worth me fucking up my back more than it already is, no matter if my uncle wanted me to have it or not. so, hopefully, my cousins will dig that fucker out and bring it over sometime. i think we're going to try it in the front flower bed, the one i pulled all the damn weeds from.
i got 2 of my final 3 to the finale of The Voice. in hindsight, of course Blake would get 2 people to the finale, as always.
NXT was really good last night.

grocery shopping today was a bit crazy. i'm not thrilled that more people aren't wearing masks. like i'm going to trust any of these motherfuckers and think they all got vaccinated. i did get everything on the list and a few extra things. it is going to get pretty hot here the next few days (already had to turn on the AC) so i got mom plenty of fruit and ice cream.

my mother doesn't have COVID... that was probably the best thing that came from the conversation with the nurse last night. she is feeling much better. she did a bunch of tests this morning and it is surely congestive heart failure. she has to start a new diet, no more alcohol (she's not happy about that), etc. etc. it looks like she may be coming home either tomorrow or Saturday.
i did the dishes this morning, swept the house and shoveled the driveway this afternoon. my sister is supposed to be here in the morning tomorrow and i know we're going to have to have some talks regarding mom.
in even better news, Manchester United won 4-0 today in the Europa League over Real Sociedad. that was a pleasant shock.
NXT was very good last night.
AEW was very good last night as well.
The Masked Dancer finale was excellent last night. i did get Cotton Candy right.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Sheldon, B Positive, The Unicorn, Clarice and Desus & Mero. i already watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was really good.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Philadelphia. i'd love to see the Rangers end their losing streak tonight.
the USWNT plays Canada tonight as the SheBelieves Cup starts tonight.
i don't really have a clue when i will be on here tomorrow. if my mother comes home, the blog may not come out until late Friday night or so. if she doesn't, it will probably be in the afternoon, long before Dayton plays Saint Louis.
now i need to go shower, check some emails, etc. etc.
i got my mother's Christmas gifts ordered last night. i figured i needed to buy some soft sleeves on Amazon for my baseball cards and they were actually in stock. so, i decided to just get everything at once and get it over with. this way, it will be here long before any backlogs in orders, etc.
i did go out to Meijer today to look for some things for mom. i did find a couple things she wanted. then, i went over to Big Lots to get some baseball cards. i had a $10 off coupon i needed to use. i ended up spending around $40 on the cards. i think i might have broke even in total. i got two short prints from 2019 Topps Heritage and i got an Aaron Judge card that is worth a little money. all in all, not bad.
NXT last night was excellent.
AEW was fucking great last night as well.
Big Brother was good last night. i fully expect Cody to evict Christmas tonight.

i have no need to watch the presidential debate. my absentee ballot has already been mailed in and received.
i'm probably going to be on here tomorrow being doing loads of my laundry.
it's been really warm today, like upper 70's. i decided to air out the house a bit since i know come this weekend, the furnace will be back on. it's supposed to be in the 40's for the weekend. joy.

last night was one of those nights at UD Arena that i used to daydream about as a child. Dayton whipped Davidson last night, 82-67. the most amazing thing about the game though, was Dayton missed their first 2 point shot last night and then went on to make their next 27 in a row. just imagine shooting 96% in a fucking game. Obi Toppin broke Chris Wright's dunk record last night. the team decided not to cut down the nets after the game, even though they clinched the A10 outright. they have bigger things ahead of them. what a time to be fucking alive. and to top it off, ESPN will be bringing College GameDay to Dayton next Saturday.
i got home and saw the highlights of the New York Rangers 5-2 loss at Philadelphia. i knew the road winning streak was going to end sometime. even worse news, Chris Krieder broke his foot last night blocking a shot. great.
Smackdown was good last night. so i guess Goldberg beat The Fiend so Roman Reigns can take on Goldberg at WrestleMania. at least i know the match i will be taking a piss break in. So, The Fiend will now take on John Cena at WrestleMania and i really hope this is a torch passing match.
205 Live was really good last night.
High Maintenance was brilliant last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was really good last night as well.

i was pleasantly pleased when Liverpool lost today. that brought a smile to my face.
the goal tomorrow is to get the blog done before Manchester United plays at Everton in the morning. i want to do that because the Rangers play at home tomorrow against Philadelphia in the afternoon.
it's supposed to be dry this weekend and get warm enough to melt the snow. of course, it's supposed to rain most of the start of next week. as usual for Ohio, the weather changes just enough to make sure everyone is fucking sick all the time.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

we are still under a boil advisory, but at least we have enough water now we can flush the fucking toilets. i guess the National Weather Service has said there was 14! tornadoes on Memorial Day. fucking hell.
mom sent me a pic of what happened to the house i grew up in. when i saw it, all i could do was laugh. the tornado took a direct hit to my old bedroom. and people think i'm crazy when i say the powers that be are out to get me...
hopefully the boil advisory will be over by tomorrow. i'd love to actually take a fucking shower before i go to the grocery store.
the New York Yankees won yesterday against San Diego, 7-0. they start a series at home tonight against Boston. the Yankees could really bury the Red Sox if they take care of business in this series.
here are your highlights from Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final:
Game 1 of the NBA Finals starts tonight.
NXT and NXT UK were both pretty good last night.
the season finale of What We Do in the Shadows was excellent last night. i can't wait for season 2.
The Wrestlers was really good last night.

i did write 3 poems last night. i typed those up this afternoon. May has been a slow ass month for me for writing. i'm hoping it will pick up in the next few weeks. of course, since i did write so much in the previous 3 months, i still have plenty to send out.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

so i got in the shower late last night and decided to basically hurt myself. i scrubbed my skin hard enough that i knew any dead skin would be off. then, a little soap and very hot water... so, that's what a cleansing feels like. there's something brewing in me. i'm not sure if it's another book, the fucking movie i have been twiddling my thumbs about since i was 23... there's a creative fire that refuses to go out at the moment. it's like California is now inside me. these are the days where i simply just try to ride the fucking waves.
i got into a bit of a mood last night and sent out a ton of messages, hoping to do a better job of promoting my book. of course, i got a few replies this morning, all at once. it never fails.
the New York Yankees lost last night to the fucking Mets 8-5. for some damn reason, they just can't get over 30 games over .500. they are now 10 games behind in the division. oh well. they start a series tonight at home against Tampa.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i thought they did a good job setting up SummerSlam this Sunday. and i love that Dean Ambrose is back.
part 3 of Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story was infuriating last night. it shouldn't surprise me, but the amount of racism in this country is fucking disgusting. and as much as i hope for every generation to come along and be better, they aren't. it's fucking sad.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, Deadliest Catch, Miz and Mrs. and Hard Knocks. i'll watch 205 Live on WWE Network sometime tonight.
i have to take mom to her eye doctor this afternoon. of course, she just told me that the eye doctor is no longer covered by her insurance for her eyes. i'm not real sure why she's going to see him today other than her vision is fucking atrocious at the moment. i do plan on bringing my notebook with me. hopefully, i write a few poems. that's part of the reason i did the blog this morning. if i do write some poems, i'll need the afternoon to type.
i was on SoundCloud last night, just checking if i had any messages and my latest stats. i saw that one poem had been listened to recently. i checked on the stats and holy shit, it was listened to by the girlfriend i had when i was 27. i sent her a message saying thanks and she emailed me. i emailed her a couple years ago when there was a hurricane near where i thought she was living. i never got a reply, so i figured she had long forgot about me. turns out she stumbled upon that email a few days ago and took a trip down the rabbit hole and found my YouTube and SoundCloud pages. that was certainly not an email i was expecting at 1:30 in the morning. nice to know i am remembered though.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night. the 3 hours really seemed to move pretty fast. that's an excellent sign.
Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night. Keshia begged to get evicted last night because she missed her daughter and her wish was granted. it will be interesting to see who goes next as the show is going to be over in 12 days i think. as of now, i'm rooting for Ross or Shannon to win it all.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets and Hate Thy Neighbor. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Minnesota. they have had yet another injury to a defenseman. so, they had to call up another kid. i believe now 4 of their 6 men playing defense will be under the age of 24. that should be interesting tonight.
mom has physical therapy this afternoon. i'm hoping to do a little writing while i'm in the waiting room. i wonder what i could possibly be writing about today...
i figure she'll probably want to get something to eat after her therapy. so that might as well be an early dinner. then, i'll come home and get the trash done and probably start typing (if i happen to do some writing today).
she has another appointment tomorrow morning, so i'll probably be on here after that happens. good thing i made sure the gas tank was full for this week. mom has appointments the first 4 days of the week. and the day she doesn't, i'll be out doing the grocery shopping i suppose.
enough of my rambling. i need to get in the shower. enjoy the visual.

Ohio State pissed me off so much that i didn't even bother to watch the whole game. i walked away, poured myself a tall glass of Jack Daniels and Coke, went to my room, turned on some music and just started to write. and write. and write some more. by the end, i just figured to finish off the damn notebook. 12 poems in all. i'll type them up this afternoon while the football games are on. i have no rooting interest with the games today.
Ohio State got their asses whipped by Oklahoma last night, 31-16. if Ohio State wouldn't have caused some turnovers in the first half, Oklahoma would have hung 50 on them last night. judging from the first 2 games, the Buckeyes are probably the 3rd or 4th best team in the Big Ten right now. if they don't improve quickly, it's going to be a long season.
Manchester United was held to a 2-2 draw yesterday at Stoke City. they are still in first place, but only by goal differential now. they play again on Tuesday in the Champions League. i'll miss most of that since the game is on at the same time as mom's cataract surgery on her left eye.
the lone bright spot yesterday was the New York Yankees. they got some great pitching yesterday and scored a few runs late to beat Texas 3-1. hopefully they will win the series this afternoon.
ROH was excellent last night. i could watch The Young Bucks wrestle air for the next 20 years and be entertained.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ballers, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, The Strain, Ray Donovan and Episodes.
i figure after i type up those poems, i'll flip around all the NFL games. i still have the Sunday Ticket package even though i'm no longer playing fantasy football. since mom's team is the Jets and mine is the Saints, it's the only way we could see every game that isn't on national television.
i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon most likely. i know i have to make a trip to the grocery store tomorrow as i just realized this morning i was getting low on my prescriptions. that's my last refill until my next visit to the doctor in October.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better. for those of you that didn't try to flee the hurricane, why the fuck are you reading this? be safe and hopefully the flooding won't be catastrophic.
