rain and then some...

it rained a little while i was trying to sleep last night. we're supposed to get way more this afternoon into the evening. thankfully, the mail got delivered when it wasn't raining.

the Yankees pissed away a 4 run lead in the 9th yesterday to lose to the Marlins, 8-7. they play at the Braves tonight.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday at home against the Chiefs, 26-24. i thought Derek Carr looked really good at QB for the Saints.

Big Brother was good last night.

Heels was very good last night.

Billions was excellent last night.

The Chi was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw.

i did listen to episode 460 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:

Manchester United plays today at home against Wolves. hopefully, United will win.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i don't know when i will be on here tomorrow.

here comes the rain, so i might as well do my laundry...

on top of the fact, i'm out of bread, so i will be hitting the local grocery store sometime this afternoon. it would have been nice if i would have remembered that yesterday when i was shopping. oh well.

i turned off the Manchester United game yesterday when they were losing 2-0. they eventually lost to Brentford, 4-0. even worse, they are now at the bottom of the league for the first time in 30 years. now, i know it has been just 2 games, etc. etc. they play Liverpool next, so i can just imagine how bad it is going to get before it even starts to get fucking better.

thankfully, the day got better from there...

team USA defeated Austria yesterday at the World Juniors, 7-0. they play Sweden tonight for first place in the group.

shopping went pretty well yesterday. i didn't find everything, but i didn't break the bank to get what i got either.

the Yankees won last night in Boston, 3-2. IKF hit his first HR of the year and drove in the winning run with a safety squeeze. hopefully, the Yankees will win the series tonight.

the New Orleans Saints lost last night at Houston, 17-13. i put no stock into preseason football, so the loss doesn't bother me. none of the starters really played, so...

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, VICE, The Chi, City on a Hill, Flatbush Misdemeanors, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Last Week Tonight and the season finale of Westworld.

i do plan on doing my laundry today. given that the Yankees don't play until tonight, i'll have all afternoon to get it done.

thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:

i need to go make breakfast, so that's all for me kids.

what a difference fans make...

so, i was up at 6:30 this morning to watch Manchester United play. thankfully, i had the tv on in time to see them unveil Raphael Varane as their latest signing this summer. he should greatly improve their defense. the crowd was electric all game long. United was up 1-0 at half. Leeds came out on fire in the second and quickly leveled the game. then, came one of the great fuck off performances from the boys that i haven't seen in ages. they scored the next 4 goals and eventually won the game over Leeds, 5-1. Bruno had a hat trick and Paul Pogba had 4 assists. Sancho came on late to give the fans one last chance to really cheer. damn near the perfect way to start a season.

Smackdown was good last night.

205 Live was good last night.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. ROH is on tomorrow at noon.

i figure i will watch plenty of soccer today and some pre-season football as well.

the Yankees play tonight at the White Sox. hopefully, they will find a way to win.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. the heat finally broke here, so we're airing out the house a bit.

the pain of being a lonely soul...

it's one of those things that i know deep down, no matter how hard i try, or how hard i wish, love is one of the more elusive things in my life. and when you meet someone that deep down you feel could be that missing piece, it's the lonely part of the soul that becomes the elephant in the room, especially when the beautiful one you want to complete the puzzle seemingly wants nothing to do with it. and sure, i'm probably reading too much into it or barking up the wrong tree... i just know i'm not getting any younger and i fully know my options are dwindling. good times.

the New York Yankees won last night over Baltimore, 8-3. they will go for the sweep this afternoon.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

Miz & Mrs. was hilarious last night.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night.

Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Alternate Endings: Six New Ways to Die in America, Big Brother, Snowfall and Songland. (of course, since the people that own our NBC station and DIRECTV are in a fight, i'll have to watch Songland tomorrow sometime on the internet most likely). i'll watch NXT and NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i'm slightly shocked, they picked up the trash, recycling and the mail got delivered all before noon today.

i think i might have got something close to 5 hours of sleep last night. that's shocking as well i suppose.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. as you can tell from the start of this blog, i probably have a few poems that need to bleed from this brain.

until tomorrow kids...

peeling off the dead skin...

so i got in the shower late last night and decided to basically hurt myself. i scrubbed my skin hard enough that i knew any dead skin would be off. then, a little soap and very hot water... so, that's what a cleansing feels like. there's something brewing in me. i'm not sure if it's another book, the fucking movie i have been twiddling my thumbs about since i was 23... there's a creative fire that refuses to go out at the moment. it's like California is now inside me. these are the days where i simply just try to ride the fucking waves.

i got into a bit of a mood last night and sent out a ton of messages, hoping to do a better job of promoting my book. of course, i got a few replies this morning, all at once. it never fails.

the New York Yankees lost last night to the fucking Mets 8-5.  for some damn reason, they just can't get over 30 games over .500. they are now 10 games behind in the division. oh well. they start a series tonight at home against Tampa.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i thought they did a good job setting up SummerSlam this Sunday. and i love that Dean Ambrose is back.

part 3 of Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story was infuriating last night. it shouldn't surprise me, but the amount of racism in this country is fucking disgusting. and as much as i hope for every generation to come along and be better, they aren't. it's fucking sad.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, Deadliest Catch, Miz and Mrs. and Hard Knocks. i'll watch 205 Live on WWE Network sometime tonight.

i have to take mom to her eye doctor this afternoon. of course, she just told me that the eye doctor is no longer covered by her insurance for her eyes. i'm not real sure why she's going to see him today other than her vision is fucking atrocious at the moment. i do plan on bringing my notebook with me. hopefully, i write a few poems. that's part of the reason i did the blog this morning. if i do write some poems, i'll need the afternoon to type.

that's all for me kids.

not a bad way to start my Sunday morning

i got up early this morning so i knew i would be ready for when Manchester United would take on Bournemouth. i'm still sort of in shock that The Special One is now the manager of the club, but, i'll get used to it. United got a gift late in the first half that Juan Mata put in the back of the net. in the second half, United showed some more of what i hope to be is their ruthless side. goals from Wayne Rooney and the man that wants to be God of Manchester. a very good 3-1 win that will hopefully be a sign of things to come. i really think the best player so far this season has been Eric Bailly. i can only dream of the kind of defender he will become one day. the man is already a beast.

the New York Yankees broke out the long ball in historic fashion yesterday. Tyler Austin and Aaron Judge became the first teammates to hit home runs back to back in their first career plate appearances. holy shit, the future looks bright. out of the 5 home runs the Yankees hit yesterday, all of them were hit by guys 26 or younger. that's exactly what i've been screaming for this season. the Yankees won 8-4 yesterday. today, the team will give Mariano Rivera his plaque in Monument Park. and hopefully the team goes out and gets the sweep of Tampa.

ROH last night was excellent. i could watch The Young Bucks wrestle every night for the rest of my life and not get bored.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, The Night Of, Ballers, Vice Principals, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan and Roadies.

it has been really raining hard here this morning after we hardly got anything yesterday. hopefully the rain will be gone by tonight.

i will probably watch some of the USA men's basketball game against France this afternoon. i really hope they play better than the last two games.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

it's not how you start...

when i had my third shit of the morning before 9 AM, i was wondering if my whole day was going to be spent on the toilet. mind you, the third one decided to surprise me while i was out in the yard feeding the birds. it was one thing when that happened at the farm and no one could see me. it's another when you have nosy fucking neighbors. thankfully, i made it inside and didn't put on too much of a show for the bastards. a big thank you to Imodium for finally working later in the morning. the last thing i wanted to do was spent today on the fucking toilet.

look out kids, i actually remembered Flashback Friday today. first up, my poem "locked in a war" from way back in 2004. you can find that poem by going here:
http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/issue5lockedinawar.html

the other poem for today is "the first crack of thunder". you can find that poem by going here: http://www.jellyfishwhispers.com/2012/08/a-poem-by-jj-campbell.html

if you happen to enjoy those poems, feel free to share them and tell the world.

i thought Manchester United played much better today. i am really impressed with the defense so far this season. imagine how good they all will be when they actually have played together for a few months. 6 points out of 2 games. i'll take that every fucking time. Manchester United 1 Aston Villa 0. the goal came from Adnan Januzaj off a beautiful pass from Juan Mata. a nice way to start my weekend.

enjoy some music kids:

thankfully Big Brother came on last night after the late local news. that was much better than waiting until 3 in the morning to see it. i believe the house will regret not getting Vanessa out when they had the chance. Shelli and Jackie got evicted last night. Liz is the new HOH.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married were both excellent last night. Lip Sync Battle was pretty fucking funny, mostly because Iggy and Swaggy P are 2 dumb asses that are made for each other.

anyone else need a laugh?

the New York Yankees finally got a win last night. of course, they couldn't make it easy on themselves but i'll take it. the offense finally got going, scoring 8 runs. the pitching was so so most of the night, giving up 6. but, that sets up a HUGE weekend series up in Toronto. the Yankees are 1/2 game out of first. hopefully they can pay the Blue Jays back for last weekend.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

i did watch bits and pieces of the NFL last night. i hope the New Orleans Saints are going to play better defense than that when the regular season starts. i figure by next weekend i'll have some clue how many fantasy football leagues i'm going to be playing in this season. most likely either 2 or 3.

that's all for me today kids. my stomach is starting to rumble and my guess is that victory beer isn't doing well with the crackers i had. good times.

hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to hot and a chance of rain here all weekend. hopefully you have better weather wherever the hell you are. drink too much, eat too much, live too much. as soon you truly figure out what that means, life is as simple as anything else. of course, this is coming from some fat fuck that enjoys the struggle. grain of salt my friends.

is it really summer?

i woke up this morning and it was 49 degrees outside. the only way i know it is August is the calendar.

i spent the majority of last night completing tearing myself down. so, today has mostly been building myself back up. so far, so good.

the Yankees showed life last night, winning 14-7. the most runs they have scored since April. hats off to Soriano with 2 HR and a career high 6 RBI. most of it was needed as CC tried his hardest to piss the game away. but, that makes 3 wins in a row and 4 out of 5. only 5 1/2 out in the wildcard. that is doable. Nova is on the mound tonight. hopefully another win is coming.

Hard Knocks was excellent again last night. i loved the pace of the episode. it flew by. also, the behind the scenes shit is great.

tonight will be a little tricky for me in my television viewing. Big Brother at 8. then, who knows at 9. then the dilemma. the new season of Duck Dynasty starts at the same time the Bridge is on. after a quick look at the guide, thank god FX shows a repeat of The Bridge at 11. so, looks like my night is set.

i've started planning on what i'm going to write for the 14 poems i need to crank out. i'm hoping to get that going tomorrow and just ride the wave.

that's all for today. i will leave you with some YouTube videos i use to build myself back up.
