the end of the month...

we got over 2 inches of rain yesterday and last night. you can imagine the amount of shitty sleep i got. and since mom didn't want any coffee this morning, i didn't make any. joy.

i wrote 11 poems today while mom was in her physical therapy session. that brings my total for the month to 67 poems. that's 1 more than last month. i don't see this type of production staying up during the summer, but who knows. i did type up the poems i wrote today when we got home. i do like a few of them. i will probably do my next round of submissions in the first week of June.

the New York Yankees won last night over Houston, 5-3. that's another series win. they start a series at Baltimore tonight. of course, they are in a damn rain delay at the moment. that's part of the reason this blog is so late.

here are your highlights from Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final last night:

the finale of Being Serena was very good last night.

NXT was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight.

the NBA Finals starts tonight. i will probably watch some of the game.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. you can find that by going here:

i will probably be on here tomorrow after mom and i go to the grocery store.

that's all for me kids. it's time for dinner i guess.

what to do when odd phrases hit you at 2 in the morning while taking a piss

welcome to the 24th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm shining a light on the poet Paul Tristram. i have become aware of Paul's work in the last few years and i am very impressed. hopefully in the next few links, you'll find something you enjoy as well:

while on the topic of poetry, the title of this blog represents exactly what happened to me last night. i would mention what the phrase was but i won't. you can read it when the poem gets published. i ended up writing 3 poems last night/this morning. i really like them after i typed them up. i will probably squeeze out a submission here in the next few days.

mom and i took another load of shit to Goodwill today. slowly but surely, the garage and farm are getting cleaned out. tomorrow morning i have to drive down south of town and have 9 boxes of papers get shredded. that will certainly clean some more room out.

the shows last night were excellent. The Big Bang Theory was very good. Lip Sync Battle was ok, although i couldn't help but laugh at Mike Tyson:
The Comedians was fucking hilarious last night. i think that was the best show so far. Louie was uncomfortable. that isn't a bad thing. i love that Louie does a show that doesn't have you laugh at every fucking second.

and then this made me laugh:

the New York Yankees start a series at home tonight with the Mets. i would be watching all of it, but a certain hockey team is playing tonight.

the New York Rangers have a chance tonight to close out the Penguins. i'm hoping they take advantage of this chance tonight and get it done. if they do, it will be in the exact number of games i picked before the playoffs started, 5. that will have nearly all of my attention tonight.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. it's going to fucking rain here, so no wonderful in the forecast for me anytime soon.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

where do the hours go...

we had a nice thunder and lightning show here last night. so when i woke up this morning and my back was tighter than normal, i figured it must have rained overnight. sure enough. it's struggled to get to 60 degrees today. the seasons have officially changed.

the New York Rangers made their final cuts today. i'm really happy that a few of the kids have made the roster. of course, with Stepan being injured, everything will change when he gets back. i'll have to try to remember to take my camera when i see them play in Columbus on Saturday.

i did pretty damn good picking NFL games yesterday. if Seattle wins tonight, i'll go 12-3 for the week. that's a nice rebound from last week. i have won one of my fantasy matches by 17 points. i'm trailing the other by 2 points, but i have Seattle's kicker tonight. so, hopefully that will be another win. sort of amazing if it does happen as i had two players get zero points yesterday.

the New Orleans Saints won in OT yesterday, 37-31. as entertaining as it was frustrating, i was happy to have that victory beer after that one. i truly needed it.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Boardwalk Empire had a nice little twist at the end of it that should set up the next few weeks. The Strain was brilliant. and it ended with the perfect cliffhanger for next season. Total Divas was interesting for me, mostly because of the behind the scenes details with Daniel Bryan's injuries. Last Week Tonight was funny and eye opening at the same time. and finally, Homeland was great. the show certainly started a little slow but quickly picked up the pace that then lasted for the next 90 minutes. next week should be good.

tonight is another clusterfuck on television for me. i'll hope that YouTube helps for what i miss on The Big Bang Theory and The Voice. i'm hoping to watch most of Gotham and Monday Night Raw. then, i'm hoping to catch the Men in Blazers show at midnight. and sometime in between all that, watch a little baseball and football. the Elvis wall of televisions would be good for tonight.

my back has been really in misery since i did the dishes this morning. i don't think i pulled anything or anything like that... i just think the weather is kicking my ass again. hopefully i can get a good stretch in here soon.

well, i need to go do some fantasy hockey homework and think about what we're doing for dinner tonight.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i thought the weekend was for relaxing...

the fog from early this morning has finally started to burn off. i got a good laugh from the wild turkeys in the lane scaring off the little birds as they came up to the house. of course, they started to scatter when my cat Whitey looked at them and started to think... i believe all of them are safely in the back woods now.

after i feed the cats this morning, i'll be making a trip to the store with my mother. she's going to a conference for a few days next week, so she thinks it would be nice if there was some food in the house for me. so kind. i actually believe she wants me to come along to lift the heavy shit we have to get at the tractor supply store.

the Yankees won last night 5-3. 3 wins in a row. the fools are starting to think they can still actually make the playoffs. i won't believe until they actually do it. Jeter had another good game. i figure this next week is going to be him trying to turn back the clock. they play again this afternoon. i don't like their chances given the pitching matchup.

the Big Brother episode was better than i thought it was going to be last night. i'm not a big fan of the flashback episodes, especially when you've watched most or all of the season. the season finale of the show will be Wednesday night. i will be shocked if Derrick doesn't win it all.

The Knick last night was excellent. the ending was especially creepy. i do love the detail in which they go into for a historical type of show. plus, i do love a show that is graphic. now, if i would just remember that it's on Friday nights and not recall that i missed it when i'm getting ready for bed at 2 in the morning...

when i get back from the store, unless there is something important in the mail, it will be a day of sports and who knows what else. there are a few college football games i want to watch today. plus, a few good soccer matches over in Europe.

late tonight i'll watch ROH. hopefully it will be another great episode.

Manchester United plays early tomorrow morning. so i'll probably be on here after that game.

i had some fun this morning on iTunes. i bought four songs, one that has been stuck in my head for weeks now. the other three were spur of the moment decisions. mostly, i just go wherever my ears get excited.

for those following the stories within this blog, high school football didn't go as i wanted last night and i heard that i missed one great concert. oh well. one day i'll have something close to a disposable income.

that's all for me this morning. i do hope all 3 of you that read this have a wonderful Saturday. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
