i had to get a prescription for mom so i figured i would just do the grocery shopping today. thankfully, her insurance covered the prescription. that brought it down from over $1,000 to around $180. i got everything that was on the grocery list. plus, i needed to fill up the Highlander. it was a pleasant day out. enough sun that most of the snow has melted. of course, it is supposed to rain tomorrow. that's another reason why i did the shopping today.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
i guess i picked a good day to do my laundry. and thank god the mail came before the fucking snow. by tonight, we should have around 4 inches of it. oh boy. i don't think i need to go get anything, so that's good.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against Montreal, 7-4. they next play on Sunday outdoors against the Islanders.
here are your videos for this day of Black History Month:
Young Sheldon was hilarious last night.
NJPW was excellent last night.
i wrote 2 poems last night. typed them up while i was having a fascinating discussion with the spanish princess about religion and families and endless amounts of bullshit.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
just put my last load of clothes into the dryer.
i should be on here tomorrow before the Dayton Flyers play Fordham in the afternoon.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
so, we were supposed to just get some snow in the morning. instead, it has snowed all day long. now, it has only accumulated to about an inch or so, but still... i think i left the house for a couple minutes today, just to get the paper and the mail.
the USMNT defeated El Salvador last night, 1-0. i wish they would have been more clinical in the final third, but i'll gladly take the 3 points and get one step closer to qualifying for the World Cup.
the New York Rangers pissed away a 2 goal lead last night and lost to Columbus, 5-3. they play Minnesota today at home. they are retiring Henrik Lundqvist's #30 tonight. it should be quite the ceremony. the team announced today that Adam Fox is on IR. i'm hoping he didn't break his wrist last night. he won't be back until after the All Star break.
NXT UK was excellent last night.
Young Sheldon was good last night.
United States of Al was pretty good last night.
both episodes of B Positive were very funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Chillin Island. i'll watch 205 Live tonight on Peacock.
the Dayton Flyers play at home tonight against Rhode Island. they are favored by 6 points. i hope Dayton wins, but i'm pretty sure it will be a close game.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i do need to get up to Menards at some point and get a few things we need in the house. if the weather is somewhat decent tomorrow, i'll be on here after i get home. i do know, i'll have the blog done before the Royal Rumble starts tomorrow night.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i know the east coast is supposed to have one hell of a blizzard. best of luck to all my friends and enemies out there.
until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i was hoping to have this done way before now, but life gets in the fucking way sometimes. i was up until 4:30 this morning. i had to go back to the grocery store earlier today to get fucking pills i called in on Monday. and then i had to go to the local drug store to get the shit the grocery store didn't have. joy.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Carolina, 3-0. hopefully, #LoseForHughes is back on. the ceremony before the game was great.
NJPW was good last night.
WOW could have been so much better last night.
Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night. it was double eviction night and of course, both of my favorites got evicted.
2 Dope Queens was excellent last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don't Know Me was excellent last night. i highly recommend it to anyone who loves music.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH and Won't You Be My Neighbor?
the Dayton Flyers are playing right now at Rhode Island. hopefully Dayton wins today, but i'm not holding my breath.
i did not watch any of the Manchester United game today. i woke up and saw they were winning at halftime. i decided to go right back to bed. they did win today over Fulham, 3-0. i can't wait to see what they do against PSG in a couple of days in the Champions League.
if you happened to catch Jason Kelce and his wonderful rant today at the Eagles Super Bowl victory parade, you basically saw (minus the outfit) how passionate i am about sports.
the New York Rangers lost to Boston last night 6-1. i laughed after the game and said at least they are sticking to the plan. today, i saw the team sent out a letter to the fans basically saying we're blowing it up and rebuilding. that started today with putting Brendan Smith on waivers and calling up Neal Pionk, a 22 year old defenseman from Hartford. it's about fucking time. now, hopefully the fucking coach plays him.
the Dayton Flyers played much better defense last night and had their best shooting effort in school history in the second half while beating Duquesne 88-73. that was a welcome change from the last two games. now, hopefully they can play that well at VCU on Saturday. i won't be holding my breath.
today was the NBA trade deadline. i was shocked at how many moves Cleveland made. i'm not sure what Sacramento is doing, other than shedding some salary for next season. it should make the rest of the NBA season rather interesting.
NXT was really good last night.
The X-Files was excellent last night.
Celebrity Big Brother was pretty good last night. i think it's a pretty good mix of celebrities. plus, it's only for 3 weeks, so at least i can't bitch about the show going on too long.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Celebrity Big Brother and Lip Sync Battle.
i will probably be on here tomorrow when i get back from the grocery store.
i'd like to get some more writing done tonight and then turn my sights to getting a book proposal going. i know i need to get that done in the next week or so or my lazy ass won't get it done at all.
that's all for me kids. i'm off to go dreaming about strange women and the beautiful nightmares.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
when i turned the Dayton Flyers on last night, the game was about 5 minutes old and Saint Louis still hadn't scored. that told me everything i needed to know. i love when a team takes no prisoners and refuses to play down to its competition. Dayton won last night, 85-63. honestly, the game never felt that close. the senior class set the record for most wins and i feel pretty confident that they are nowhere close to being finished this season. most encouraging for me is that Dayton is much closer to being 100% healthy again. music to my ears. they play again this Saturday at home. hopefully this fucking cough will be gone by then.
Smackdown was really good last night. i loved the triple threat match between Bray Wyatt, John Cena and AJ Styles. having Bray win and keep the title should prove that he belongs in that conversation.
205 Live was really good as well last night. i can't wait for Austin Aries to start wrestling again.
Taboo was great last night, as usual. amazingly, the show keeps getting darker. it's slowly filling my Penny Dreadful void.
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
my favorite radio station got sold to a religious broadcaster yesterday. fuck me.
i heard back from Bop Dead City on my recent poetry submission. they passed on what i sent but would like to see more in the future.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the Europa League.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i was hoping to be in a much better mood when writing this, but thank an unwilling to be great Manchester United squad for my mood. United got a draw with Aston Villa this morning (1-1). you'd think i'd be happy with one point on the road. but, when United played the last 30 minutes of the match up a man (thanks to a rather harsh red card), it then becomes a game they must win. and they didn't. barely got a fucking chance in those 30 minutes. oh well. it was nice to see Falcao score again. hopefully he can get on a roll since the holidays always brings a ton of games right in a row it seems.
i was in one of those happy/sad moods last night while watching television. to know that this was the last Christmas show David Letterman was going to do, i wasn't as much sad as i was reflective. i think i have watched his show since it started quite honestly. i've been a tv addict since i was a child. i did enjoy Darlene Love one final time. here is that:
i stayed up and watched the final The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well. i was so happy that i did. the opening absolutely blew me away:
try to watch that and not get that song stuck in your head. needless to say, i bought it on iTunes this morning.
the ending to the show made me laugh. i'm really going to miss it.
plenty of sports going on today. i'll watch bits and pieces of the two NFL games going today. i do have a player going for the Eagles today. i believe my opponent in the fantasy football championship game has the Eagles QB. hopefully, if he throws any touchdowns today, they are to my WR.
the New York Rangers finish up their road trip in Carolina tonight. hopefully they can get another win.
i'll be going to see the Dayton Flyers take on Boston University. i'm going to be really interested to see how they play without the two players that got kicked off the team this week. i want to stay positive and believe they still have a chance to do well, but i'm not that kind of guy. although, i think if they pick up the speed of play and start making some fucking shots, anything is possible.
hopefully we'll get home in time to watch Saturday Night Live and ROH. i'm looking forward to both of those shows tonight. hopefully i'll be enjoying a few victory beers while watching them.
my mother, sister and i will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow. i was under the impression we were going to do it today, but, i forgot that we don't communicate well as a family. i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. it actually could be while the football games are going on. that might be my little break from the stress of trying to win another championship. this is what happens when you're a competitive asshole. winning is the only acceptable position in life. when i take a step out of myself i can only wonder what could have been.
i do hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are traveling, be safe. if you are having family over, may the drinks be strong and may there be no violence (unless someone really fucking deserves it). and if you hate the fucking holidays like i tend to do, may the music of your choice be loud enough to drown out the world.
thanks again to all 3 of you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i knew i was trapped in the middle of the winter blues when i nearly blew a gasket when i found the morning paper was wet. i have a very short fuse at times, and a wet newspaper is amazingly high on that list. but, a little nap, a little porn, and some music usually does the trick. not that i suddenly become happy, just more back to my mellow self. of course, that will change as soon as the hockey game starts tonight.
no dead cats today, at least from what i saw, so i don't think it got as cold last night. of course, it's supposed to get down to the single digits again tonight i think. the problem i have when it is cold out is the days just start to bleed together. the life cycle becomes just a repeat of days, of hours, of moments before. the more i think about it, the more i truly believe i'm not going to miss living out here. even if i do end up with shitty neighbors.
i did watch a good amount of college basketball last night. that Kentucky team is fucking scary. if they actually learn how to play together as a team, i'm not sure who can beat them.
i had no problem with the two that got voted off The Voice last night. they did nothing for me. now, the problem is only a few of the ten that are left are "good" to my ears. i do like the twist where they are bringing back everyone voted off from the top 12 for one more performance and one of them will become the fourth finalist. that could be interesting.
tonight is a bit of a clusterfuck for me on television. the New York Rangers play at home against Philadelphia tonight. at the same time, Lucha Underground is on. the way the Rangers are playing here lately, i might go with wrestling. then, tonight at 10 is American Horror Story. that should be a good way to finish off my night.
just found out that Jimmy Ruffin has died. he did one of my favorite songs ever...
the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow morning down in Puerto Rico. i'll most likely be on here sometime after that game with Texas A&M.
that's all for me today. hope this finds you warm, thinking of my face somewhere between your thighs. no, not you Janne. i'm speaking to the one or two women that may stumble upon this and actually make it to the end.
