another day where the sun decided to not come out and play

the fog that was here this morning basically never left. i don't think it got any warmer than 38 degrees today. of course, over the next couple days they are saying we could get up to 3 inches of rain. oh joy.

i did get those 7 poems typed up late last night. i really like a few of them. i guess i need to get the first submissions of the month ready to go out this weekend.

Monday Night Raw started off great last night. and then, it just went nowhere. kind of felt like it was idling the rest of the show. not good.

Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night.

the New York Rangers had a lead 3 different times last night. so of course, they lost to the Kings 4-3 in OT.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight on the road at Saint Louis. Dayton is now only a 1/2 game out of first place in the A10. and i'm hoping the game is good enough that i'm not tempted to switch over to the asshole giving a big speech tonight.

mom's doctor's appointment went well today. she got the doctor to put in the order for physical therapy to start work on her left shoulder. so, that should start on Thursday. after that, mom wanted to go to Red Lobster for lunch. her eyes were larger than her stomach i guess, because i know what she's having for dinner tonight.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i know it's supposed to be raining all day long, so i will probably be in pain.

here are your links for this day in Black History Month.

well, i didn't see that coming

when the New York Yankees were losing 9-1 last night, i figured i wouldn't be drinking later on in the evening. when i saw later that they were down to Baltimore 11-4, i still thought i had no chance to have a drink. i turned the game on for shits and giggles and when Jacoby Ellsbury hit a grand slam to make it 11-8, i was like oh shit, this might happen. when Castro hit the game tying home run in the bottom of the 9th to make it 11-11, i was feeling pretty good. when Matt Holliday hit the 3 run walk off homer in the bottom of the 10th, i was ecstatic. that is the kind of victory that really galvanizes a team. don't look now, but something special could be brewing in the Bronx this year. the Yankees play again this afternoon.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

VICE last night was fascinating. i really hope everyone gets to see the episode. between the drug in Cuba that's more or less a vaccine for cancer and the threat to bananas in the world, it was certainly an eye opening episode.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious as usual last night.

i liked what the New Orleans Saints did in rounds 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft last night. 3 picks on defense that should help immediately and a new toy on offense. i think they have 1 pick today. time for icing on the cake.

we had some storms roll through here last night and this morning. needless to say, even with the alcohol, i slept like shit last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon up in Ottawa. i'm not going to say Game 2 is a MUST win situation, but i'd feel much better about this series if the Rangers would win today.

i will probably flip through that, baseball and the rest of the NFL Draft for most of today.

i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays.

i think i'm going to try to get a little more writing done today as well. hopefully get some more poems before National Poetry Month ends.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. only fuck the ones that cough and call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

98 and still counting

when i turned the Dayton Flyers on last night, the game was about 5 minutes old and Saint Louis still hadn't scored. that told me everything i needed to know. i love when a team takes no prisoners and refuses to play down to its competition. Dayton won last night, 85-63. honestly, the game never felt that close. the senior class set the record for most wins and i feel pretty confident that they are nowhere close to being finished this season. most encouraging for me is that Dayton is much closer to being 100% healthy again. music to my ears. they play again this Saturday at home. hopefully this fucking cough will be gone by then.

Smackdown was really good last night. i loved the triple threat match between Bray Wyatt, John Cena and AJ Styles. having Bray win and keep the title should prove that he belongs in that conversation.

205 Live was really good as well last night. i can't wait for Austin Aries to start wrestling again.

Taboo was great last night, as usual. amazingly, the show keeps getting darker. it's slowly filling my Penny Dreadful void.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast. you can check that out by going here:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

my favorite radio station got sold to a religious broadcaster yesterday. fuck me.

i heard back from Bop Dead City on my recent poetry submission. they passed on what i sent but would like to see more in the future.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the Europa League.

amusing the unknown

so i have spent a few hours today amusing the unknown. i'm a little leery of people online that seem a bit sketchy. you know the type; piss poor typing, weak english, have a profile that says you are a male yet you have a profile pic of a beautiful woman, etc, etc. all that screams to me as someone who is a con and is out to scam some poor sap out of a life. so imagine my surprise when one of those basket cases asks me this morning if i was ready to be in a serious relationship with them. for those of you who know my sense of humor and complete disdain for humans in general, you understand what the last few hours was like for me. i get a sense that this woman (i'm calling it that in case it actually is a woman) could be really slow, or retarded or a damn child. who the fuck at 30 doesn't know how to use a computer. i mean shit, even if you were born in Australia and live in a small town in Wisconsin now, i have to imagine that at some point you learned the fucking basics about computers. hopefully the truth comes to light soon as i don't think i'll enjoy many more afternoons with this fucking nonsense.

i heard the lawnmowers going this morning, so i knew it was going to rain today. we just had a quick storm pass through. i'm sure there will be more coming. my legs feel like we're getting ready to have a hurricane hit us. either i pulled both hamstrings while putting those shelves together or my arthritis has taken over both of my legs. good times.

Monday Night Raw last night was pretty good. it should have been great, but only 5 guys truly showed up in my opinion. Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, John Cena, Cesaro and Kevin Owens made the night enjoyable. enjoy below:
the show after on the WWE Network was excellent. i could listen to Michael Hayes, J.J. Dillon, Arn Anderson, Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler tell Dusty Rhodes stories for hours and hours. and given that the bulk of the hour was about when i was truly becoming a fan, it was great tv:

here's some funny shit:

i saw this video today and was completely blown away. enjoy your music break:

tonight will be an interesting one for me on television. and since there is a ton of shit on, i figure it will storm like the end of days tonight and the satellite feed will get knocked out.

the New York Yankees start a series with Oakland tonight at home. a couple hours after that, team USA starts their Gold Cup campaign against Honduras. i'd love to be drinking two victory beers tonight. now, on the DVR tonight will be WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas and Tyrant. all in all, it will be another night where i'll be up at 3 in the morning.

that's all for me today. i've got trash to pick up and then i have a visit lined up with my massage chair. if i'm going to be in pain like this for the rest of my life, you can bet every dollar you have that i will have a drug addiction in the next ten years.
