it's only blood...
i don't know how many fucking times i have hit my lower left leg on this spot on my bed frame, but it fucking hurts every damn time i do it. but, it's only blood. as i told my mother, everything on that leg is fucking dead except the nerves. and quite honestly, if i didn't have something to bitch about, it wouldn't be my life.
i sent out 24 poems today. 3 to Pyrokinection, 5 each to Your One Phone Call, Misfit Magazine and Synchronized Chaos (already accepted for publication) and 6 poems to Record Magazine. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets, Hate Thy Neighbor and The Voice. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Winnipeg. it will be interesting to see if they can keep their winning streak going.
the New York Yankees won today over Detroit 7-2. i believe the baseball regular season starts in like 3 weeks or something.
i'll be on here tomorrow after i make a trip to the dollar store. i need to find a cheap 3 ring binder so i can better organize my poetry archives and records.
that's all for me today kids. i'm off to go get the trash done next door and here.

a mighty wind
the wind has been ferocious for all of today. figures, it's trash day.
i sent out 15 poems this morning, 5 each to Synchronized Chaos, Your One Phone Call and 48th Street Press. when i hear back from these places i will pass on the verdicts.
i have a fucking headache at the moment, so i'm going to try to write this as quickly as i can.
the New York Yankees lost last night to Toronto 7-1. hopefully the offense can come back alive tonight.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. the main event was much better than the rest of the show. hats off to Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and The Miz for a very memorable main event that also included run ins from Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. i thought starting off the show with the women for the first hour was very nice as well.
Gotham was great last night.
The Voice was really good last night. the talent this season is pretty damn deep.
i have no damn clue who will get voted off tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play Game 3 against Ottawa tonight at home. this is a MUST WIN game. hopefully the players and the coach understands that.
i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast this morning. if you want to laugh your ass off, you can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-024-andrew-schulz
after i went to the bank today, i did another round of grocery shopping. i figured it was going to be expensive since i was getting prescriptions, vitamins, etc. it was only a little bit over $100, so i was pretty happy about that. of course, i figure i'll be going back by the end of the week.
my mother found out today her hip replacement has been moved up a week from the original date. i know that makes my sister happy, as she doesn't have to change any plans now.
i still have trash to pick up here and next door, plus dishes to do, so that's all for me kids.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

getting back in the groove
so that wild hair did get up my ass again today and i did a little poetry work. i sent out 17 poems today. 2 to Tuck Magazine and 5 each to Your One Phone Call, Because Eileen and Synchronized Chaos. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
team USA got up 2-0 against Switzerland last night and you could see they were already thinking about playing Russia. it's a good lesson for kids to learn and it is easier to teach when you win. Switzerland controlled pretty much the rest of the game. if it wasn't for the USA's power play, they probably wouldn't have won 3-2. they will have to play much better if they want to beat Russia again in the semifinals. if they win, they will play for the gold medal against the winner of Canada vs. Sweden. if the USA loses, they will play for the bronze medal.
Monday Night Raw wasn't bad last night. that doesn't mean it was good either. i do like the fact that they are pushing Braun Strowman as much as they are. the main event scene definitely needs some fresh blood. the last man standing match between Braun and Sami Zayn last night was booked perfectly. that was probably the only thing on the show that was.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Buffalo. hopefully they will extend their winning streak.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight on the road at St. Bonaventure. the two injured players made the trip, so i'm hoping they might actually play. the team will need them.
today has been another gloomy one. more fog, more rain, more blah. i still have the trash to do here and next door and of course it's raining again. good times.
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here sometime before the USA takes on Russia. it might be a short one tomorrow as i have to take mom to her next doctor's appointment at 6:45 in the morning on Thursday. so i might actually have to get some sleep tomorrow.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

power napping my way through life
i had it all planned out. i would be done with all my Sunday night viewing sometime around 5 AM. a quick power nap and then it would be time to watch Manchester United. so, i got a quick 2 hours of sleep. i woke up to see that the game between United and Manchester Shitty had been cancelled. ok, time to get more sleep. another quick 3 hour power nap and i was basically up for the rest of the day. i'm sure i'm taking years off of my life by not getting good sleep. oh well.
the New York Yankees won yesterday 5-2. they start a road series tonight in Houston. they made a pretty big trade today, sending their closer to the Cubs for 4 players. i think the 4 players they are getting from Chicago are better than the 4 they gave to the Reds to get Chapman in the first place. all in all, excellent job by Brian Cashman for a change.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. i'm sure CBS is kicking themselves for not having the feeds on when a 6 hour endurance competition happens.
Ballers was excellent last night. Vice Principals was fucking hilarious. The Night Of continues to be fucking brilliant. Power was excellent with a great oh shit ending. Ray Donovan was pretty good. Roadies was very good. Last Week Tonight was brilliantly funny as fuck once again.
WWE Battleground last night was good. of course, i would have booked it a little differently, but the matches i wanted to be great were. i was so happy to see Bayley be Sasha Banks' partner in her tag match. hopefully the powers that be recognized the pop the crowd gave her. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn stole the show once again. it was a 5 star match for sure, even with Sami's fuck up. i'm fine with the title still being on Dean Ambrose. it should make for an interesting Monday Night Raw tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight as i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i did send out 13 poems today. 3 to Mad Swirl and 5 each to Because Eileen and Your One Phone Call. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast today. it was great as always. you can find it by going here: http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/7/25/srshow-taylor-strecker-is-dating-a-girl
i hope everyone had a great weekend. i think i have another power nap coming on.

time to check your mailbox
as my mother used to say in my youth, today i was busier than 9 cats covering up shit in a windstorm. in the morning, i got all of my Christmas cards done. so you lucky ones out there, check your mailbox in the next few days. some of you are getting just a card and some of you are getting much more than just a card.
in the afternoon, i did my last big poetry submission of 2015. i sent out 23 poems today; 5 to Your One Phone Call and 3 each to Pyrokinection, Pink Litter, Napalm and Novocain, Raw Dog Press, Dead Snakes and Mad Swirl. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
when the Dayton Flyers were behind by 16 points in the first half last night, i was beyond fucking frustrated. but, as i told my mother, at least they can't shoot any worse in the second half. thankfully, they picked up the defensive intensity and imagine that, the shots started to fall. they erased that deficit to beat Vanderbilt on the road 72-67. that will be a HUGE victory come March and tournament selection time. Dayton next plays at home against a very good Chattanooga team.
the New York Rangers fell victim last night to some horrific officiating and some bad puck luck as well. and i know i bitch about refs all the god damn time but last night might have been the worst. the Rangers got fucked over and over by the officials while already down a man. and the shitty thing was it was a really bad call on what a ref thought he saw that gave Vancouver the lead. the Rangers would come back on a penalty shot but would give the lead right back in less than 2 minutes. if i was the coaches, i would simply just erase this tape and forget about the 2-1 loss. the refs played way too big of a role in the game. the Rangers next play in Edmonton on Friday. they will be celebrating Glen Sather that night.
after the games went off, i finally watched my shows. American Horror Story had a few twists and turns i didn't see coming. i can't wait to see where it goes next week. You're The Worst had a great season finale. i was laughing from the start to the finish. and the finish was really good.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Big Bang Theory and Life in Pieces.
i will have to pay some attention to the NFL game tonight. i am already in the playoffs in my NFL.com league. i have qualified for the playoffs in one of my CBS leagues. i have to beat the best team in the league to make it to the playoffs in the other league. good times.
i guess my eye appointment is in the morning tomorrow. so i will have all the details for the blog tomorrow. i'm interested in finding out if the spot on my eye has gotten any larger or not.
i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i will post the links below.
the Sacramento Kings are on national tv tonight so i might give them a view or two. i'd love to actually see them win. that would be nice.
well, i need to vacuum the floors before all the fun starts tonight so that's all for me kids.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
