not exactly how i wanted to start my weekend...

so, i got up this morning and made sure i would be ready to get to the appointment i made to get the oil changed and a new tire for the Highlander. i made it to the dealership with a few minutes to spare. after about 45 minutes, the guy that was handling my appointment told me that they couldn't patch the tire as the hole seems to be from a previous patch. they, for some fucking reason, didn't have a tire in stock to match the ones already on the Highlander. i asked him to go check if he had any others in stock that would do the job as the vehicle is 20 years old, i couldn't give two shits if the tires are all the same. he came back a few minutes dumbfounded once again and told me they didn't have any tires in stock to fit the Highlander. he told me he could order one and have it here by Monday. i said ok, and then went back to his office. he called me down about 10 minutes later to say the Highlander was ready to go. he then told me the first appointment he had available to replace the tire would be December 13th. not exactly the few days from now i was expecting. i then told the guy i couldn't wait that long and would have to get it done somewhere else. i paid for the oil change and then left. i had to go to Rite Aid and get a new blood pressure cuff for mom. when i told her what was going on, she couldn't believe it. now, the beauty of all this is there is no damn tire place around here where i can just drive the Highlander there and get a new tire put on without a damn appointment. so, i'm hoping i can figure out something this weekend and maybe get fucking lucky and get a new tire on the Highlander before fucking Christmas.

and for the cherry on top of my fucking day, i heard back from Tiffany at Ephemeral Elegies on my poetry submission from back in October. she decided to pass on the poems.

today at the World Cup, Uruguay defeated Ghana, 2-0. South Korea beat Portugal, 2-1. Switzerland beat Serbia, 3-2. and Cameroon upset Brazil, 1-0. those results meant that Brazil won Group G with Switzerland finishing second. Portugal won Group H with South Korea finishing second. Brazil will play South Korea and Portugal will play Switzerland.

tomorrow starts to the knockout portion of the tournament. this is when it really gets good. first up will be the Netherlands vs. USA and then Argentina takes on Australia.

i did watch a good portion of the Bills defeat of the Patriots last night.

Vice News Tonight had two fascinating episodes this week.

NJPW was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Young Rock. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Ottawa. hopefully, the boys can beat this team again.

i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. my first thought is it will be after the USA takes on Netherlands. but then again, if i have to run out and get the tire changed or pick up my pills at Rite Aid (which better be fucking ready since i run out of them on Sunday). or maybe, it will be after the Dayton Flyers game tomorrow afternoon. or, maybe i just wake up at the crack of fucking dawn like the old person i am and just get the blog done before everything starts tomorrow. your guess is as good as mine.

that being said, i hope everyone has a great weekend.

so, i guess everyone else had the same thought...

i wanted to get all the shopping done today before the storm comes tomorrow. so did every other fucking asshole in this area. what a shit show.

i had a deposit to make at the bank. it was for $666. i laughed and told my mother i guess the secret is out. the bank i normally go to was closed for some fucking reason. the drive-thru was open but they take forever to get that done. so, i went to the other branch the next town over. they have 2 drive thru lanes, so it goes much quicker. imagine my joy when i get there and only one lane is open and i'm the 5th fucking car in line.

after that, i went to Meijer to get some shit. of course, what they said they have via their website is completely fucking different from the store. so, i found what i could. after that, i went back to Brookville to go to the local grocery store. a woman in the parking lot liked my Saints mask. i thanked her as she was driving away. i did find everything i was looking for in the local grocery store.

i took all that shit back to the house and then made my way out to Kroger to get some gas, pick up mom's pills and get the rest of the groceries. the only fucking thing i couldn't find today was some Shout spray refill bottles. i told mom she might have to make that an Amazon Prime order.

so, i ended up having lunch today at 5 PM. i said fuck it and i went ahead and got the trash all picked up and out. i knew i had to get that done early if i wanted to get this blog done sometime before midnight...

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

Industry was really good last night.

The Voice was excellent last night. i'm good if any of these three win it all tonight:

i did pick up a pack of 2020 Topps Finest WWE cards today at Meijer. the cards look fucking stunning. i did get a few in the pack that are selling on Ebay for over $10 so that makes me happy.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and the season finale of The Voice.

i did watch a bit of that crazy NFL game last night between Cleveland and Baltimore.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. the snow and ice are supposed to start around 6 in the morning, so i'm fucking happy i got everything done today.

so i decided to do the shopping one day early...

i thought it would be less crowded at the stores. of course, i guess everyone else had the same damn thought. thankfully, i did find everything that mom had on the list for the most part.

i did take a shower yesterday and i felt a little better. of course, i then checked my email and had 3 poems rejected. Corey at Red Eft Review said that one of the poems came really close... too bad this isn't fucking horseshoes... oh well.

here is your video for this day of National Poetry Month:

and here are a couple of links to poems you should be reading:
http://www.yourdailypoem.com/listpoem.jsp?poem_id=1898
http://trailerparkquarterly.com/volume-2/karl-koweski/

The Masked Singer was good last night.

NXT was really good last night.

AEW was excellent last night.

we had some really strong storms roll through here last night. i was amazed the power never went out and neither did the satellite.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Will & Grace, Indebted, Vice News Tonight, Better Things, Cake, Total Bellas, Desus & Mero and two episodes of Shelter in Place w/Shane Smith. i did watch NXT UK this afternoon. it was a look back on the past 3 years of matches. i'm assuming they never got the chance to film a ton of matches ahead of time to have new material during this lockdown.

i watched this woman try to pull a scam today at the grocery store. it was painfully obvious that she didn't know how to do it correctly. she was walking around looking for her cart and told one of the bag boys that it was right here and then wanted to see a manager. well, the manager happened to be the cashier of the checkout lane i was in. she looked at the woman's receipt and said this isn't even a Kroger receipt. i knew right then and there what trick she was trying to pull. i'm not sure why you would try to pass a Family Dollar receipt as one from Kroger, or why you would ask to speak to a manager when all you were trying to do was get some free food.

as i will say a million times, this is why i will probably never move from this state. the poems just write themselves.

i went to bed around 2 last night. i felt fucking refreshed when i woke up. i looked at the clock and it said 4:10. fuck me. i'm not sure why i even bother anymore.

i believe my sister is coming down on Easter Sunday. i got a nice ham for that dinner. she's happy since she thinks she will be taking some home with her.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'd love to say i'm going to sleep in and lounge around, etc. etc. but anyone who knows me knows that's not going to fucking happen.

until tomorrow kids...

and suddenly, the cool breeze has gone away...

i knew when mom said she wanted to go to the local grocery store today, she was feeling better. of course, we were gone for less than a hour and she was pooped by the time we got back. her blood sugar has finally started approaching "normal" numbers. i'm hoping this injection will do her some good, but it's also a matter of her wanting it to. and she wonders why i tell her she's on the back side of the circle now.

the trip to the bank yesterday was interesting. the teller was this beautiful and i mean fucking beautiful black woman named Alexis. she had to be in her early 20's i believe. she had these neon blue fingernails that will soon be dancing in my poems, trust me. i hope to god i see her again. that's the kind of woman you can write books about.

i got home in time to watch the New York Yankees play like shit and lose to Baltimore 7-5. mostly, it was Sonny Gray that shit the bed, during and after the game. thankfully, Lance Lynn came in and gave the Yankees a chance. but, the offense left a small village on base. they pissed away a chance to get closer to Boston. instead, they are now 5 1/2 games out and start a 4 game series in Boston tonight. they will need to win at least 3 out of 4 if they truly have any fucking desire to win this division.

i was not surprised when the Urban Meyer news hit last night. and i will not be surprised if/when Ohio State fires him. Urban has never learned it's a different world we all live in now.

NXT was excellent last night.

Lucha Underground was really good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. i truly hope Rachel gets evicted tonight and the side of the house that believes they are in power are dumbfounded once again. this has been the best season in years.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. you can find that by going here:

the humidity made a return today, so summer is truly back in effect now.

i think the first NFL preseason game is tonight. i might watch a little, but not much of it.

i did watch a little of the MLS All-Star game last night.

i'll be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. i know i have some prescriptions to pick up and i need a bottle of spiced rum as well. oh yeah, and whatever mom has on the scroll.

what a crazy Sunday...

so i spent most of last night sending emails to the security team at Gofundme showing when i got the money and when i sent the money to Debbie. this morning i sent a screenshot from my checking account that shows all 3 wires i sent her and the wire sent from the grocery store via Western Union. i'm really hoping that takes care of this bullshit. and honestly, once i sent the money, i don't think i can be held responsible for what the crazy bitch on the other end does with it. part of me believes the stupid fuck thinks it was her ex putting the money in as that would continue the narrative in her head that he actually still loves her. someone should be preparing for a hard fucking crash. and honestly, i wouldn't mind if this was the last fucking time i ever had to write something about Debbie in this fucking blog.

"It" was a pretty good movie last night. i enjoyed it. laughed way more than i thought i was going to. my mind is twisted enough that it really takes some truly fucking crazy horror shit to actually scare me anymore.

ROH was really good last night.

the New York Yankees got their asses handed to them last night by Boston, 11-0. the Yankees only had 2 damn hits in the game. hopefully, they will do a better job tonight. if they win tonight, they win the series and will be tied again in the division.

here is your World Cup update:
what a crazy day. Russia defeated Spain on penalty kicks (4-3) as it was so fucking obvious that Spain was more interested in passing than scoring today. and then Croatia defeated Denmark on penalty kicks (3-2) in one of the more dramatic penalty shootouts i can remember. if you ask me, Croatia has a pretty open road to a possible berth in the finals. tomorrow, Brazil plays Mexico and Belgium takes on Japan.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, The Affair, I'm Dying Up Here, Succession and Last Week Tonight.

NHL free agency started today. i didn't expect the New York Rangers to do much and they haven't. they signed one of their own restricted free agents and a defenseman from Ottawa. i guess the biggest news of the day was what Toronto did. thank god John Tavares is out of the division now.

my sister came down for a little bit today. she brought some shoes she got for mom. mom liked 2 of the 4 my sister brought. we had lunch together and then she went back to her home. i was kind of surprised she was out in this heat, but it was nice seeing her.

i did write a poem this morning for the woman i have fallen madly in love with in Rome. i really like it and hope to get it published. i ended up writing 50 poems in June. so, since April 1st to July 1st i have written 184 poems. not bad.

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. it might be after the World Cup games, it might be earlier. i know i have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday coming up and i do believe they are measuring the windows on July 5th to get an accurate measurement for our new windows for the house. that, plus the insulation we did 2 years ago, should really help with energy costs.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday has been even better. hopefully your Sunday night is even better than that.

starting March off in the rain...

it started raining last night and has continued on and off all damn day long. last time i checked, we were at 1.8 inches so far. i might have got 4 hours of sleep last night. and that's a very iffy might.

mom had to cancel her physical therapy this afternoon as her blood sugar spiked way higher than normal. that was a fun little scare for the day. maybe this will teach her that she needs to have some semblance of a balanced meal for breakfast each morning. the days of coffee and a roll and that's it are over. of course, i'm not sure how many times i can tell an adult what to do when she knows this shit already.

the Dayton Flyers lost last night at LaSalle 71-53. this season can't get over fast enough.

when the New York Rangers got up 3-0 last night in the first period, i was pleasantly surprised. of course, the game was tied at 3 by the middle of the second period. then it became a game of back and forth with Vancouver. eventually, the Rangers ended their losing streak and won in OT 6-5. The King had 50 saves last night. the new additions they got from Tampa and Boston looked pretty good last night. once the defense gets some experience, this team might just be able to turn things around in less than one season. at least that's what i am hoping for.

NXT was pretty good last night.

The X-Files showed exactly why i don't trust any artificial intelligence.

enjoy some music:

i did watch a little of the New York Yankees game this afternoon. they certainly had the long ball working for them today in their 6-4 win over the Phillies.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after i get back from the grocery store.
