where did the hours go?...

i didn't wake up this morning until 10 AM. in one sense, i do need the sleep (almost 5 hours). in another sense, getting closer to my dream death of in my sleep. so yeah, i believe the summer doldrums are upon us.

the Yankees won yesterday at home against Tampa Bay, 9-1. they start a series tonight at home against the Mets.

the Red Scare lost their TBT game last night.

Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

Name That Tune was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks offseason.

i know i need to get the trash picked up and make dinner.

so, that's all for today.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

until then kids...

at least i got a few hours of sleep...

so, i was up last night watching the Women's World Cup between washing the dishes and texting the spanish princess. was one of the few nights here lately where i wasn't swimming in a sea of pain. i wish i could say the same for today.

i made breakfast this morning and of course, my arthritis had to be raging. and then my bad back decided it wanted some attention while i was making some eggs. it never fails. if i get more than a few hours where i feel pain free i'm going to pay for it and feel like i'm crippled. these are the days where i wish i could get so fucking high that i would get worried about ever coming back down.

the New York Yankees won yesterday at home against the Royals, 5-2. they are currently up in today's game, 4-0. hopefully, they will get the sweep.

Manchester United defeated Arsenal yesterday, 2-0. Arsenal's coach wanted them to do penalty shots after the game, just so his players could get used to being in front of a large crowd doing that. United won that as well, 5-3.

i did catch some of the Leagues Cup last night. i'll watch some of that tonight as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Righteous Gemstones.

i'm sure i might watch some NASCAR today and hopefully get a nap in.

i know we have so much food left over from yesterday that i don't need to do any cooking for lunch or dinner.

i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

it was going so well, and then...

i was sound asleep in my bed, for roughly 90 minutes, and then i rolled over and my fucking back gave out on me. i felt the pain at exactly 5 AM. fuck me. i took a piss and then went and got some ice. yet another night in the massage chair i guess. i woke up at 8:15 this morning. amazingly, the ice pack was still a little cold. i put that on my knees, as i could tell already rain was on the way. joy.

the Yankees won last night in Baltimore, 7-6. Aaron Judge hit two massive home runs in the game. the Yankees lost Michael King to a broken elbow in the 8th inning last night. that will be an injury that could haunt this team this season. he was a major part of the success of the bullpen.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i imagine i will watch some baseball, probably some soccer and god knows what else between doing my laundry tonight.

Manchester United ended their preseason trip in Australia by pissing away a 2 goal lead to Aston Villa. the game finished 2-2. i see ETH still has some work to do with the squad.

i will hopefully be on here in the morning tomorrow. i suppose it all depends how much my back is killing me after doing my laundry tonight. hopefully, not too much, as i will have my mother's laundry to do tomorrow afternoon.

big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:

welcome to the weekend...

i had some weird fucking dreams last night. even for me, they were really crazy. hopefully, i'll get a few poems out of them this weekend.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Holey Moley was fucking hilarious last night.

When Nature Calls was very good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. Frenchie got evicted, 11-1, and i believe Xavier is the new HOH.

Desus & Mero was excellent last night.

the Yankees lost to Boston last night in 10 innings, 5-4. they pissed away leads in the 9th and 10th in epic fashion. truly, this loss was like a punch to the dick.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

i didn't get up early to watch the Opening Ceremony and i won't be watching it tonight either. i'm sure i will watch some of the soccer and basketball when i get a chance. the problem i have when the Olympics are in Asia is i can't stand watching replays of games when i already know what the final score is. so, there will be some either late, late nights or some really early mornings if i want to watch any of these games live.

the first round of the NHL Draft is tonight. i'm very interested to see what the New York Rangers will do tonight.

Manchester United finally made the Jadon Sancho transfer official today. hopefully he will do great things at the club.

mom needs to take some shoes back to Shoe Carnival, so that's all for me today kids.

i will probably be on here early in the morning tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great weekend...

and then the bleary eyed madman appears...

it has rained on and off for the last 2 days or so. my sleep has been even worse than usual. and when i can only sleep for 3 hours or less at a time, it's when i get a little crazy. and by crazy, i mean irritable, so much so that i can't even stand to be around myself.

i took a fine tooth comb to my baseball cards i have from 1977 and 1978 last night/this morning. amazingly, i found some cards that are still in pretty good shape. i'm waiting on some more supplies to show up. once they do, i'll start taking some pictures...

FC Cincinnati shocked the world again last night. they defeated the Red Bulls 2-0 to advance in the MLS tournament. i never thought that would happen when i watched that game against Columbus.

NXT was really fucking good last night.

AEW was really damn good last night as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Cake and Desus & Mero. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the baseball season finally starts tonight. hopefully the Yankees will defeat the Nationals. i'd love to have a little alcohol to numb the pain finally.

other than baseball, i'll probably watch some MLS as well.

the lasagna we had last night was really good. so, the rest of it is dinner for tonight.

i need to go take a shower and get ready to watch the Yankees play.

i should be on here tomorrow in the afternoon i suppose. kind of depends if i can actually get some sleep tonight.

that's all for me kids..

thoughts and prayers = laughter

the Jesus freaks on Google+ have found me i guess. i get these messages every day from people wanting to pray for me. that's all fine and good, but i'm old enough to know there's always a fucking catch. i think i talk to them to simply be entertained. i love to see what methods criminals use to try to trick me. it is even more fun when i don't have money to foolishly give away.

the New York Yankees game was rained out last night. they will make up that game against the Mets in August. the Yankees start a series down in that dump in Tampa tonight. the Yankees are currently 5 games behind Boston in the division.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

Total Bellas was good last night.

Power was excellent last night.

Sharp Objects was great last night.

Succession was excellent last night. this show gets better with each episode.

The Affair was really good last night.

Who is America? was fucking bizarre last night. i'm not sure how the state rep. from Georgia keeps his job.

Our Cartoon President was fucking hilarious last night.

i did follow the Manchester United game yesterday online. i'm not sure why as the game with San Jose finished 0-0.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i'll probably be writing out bills tonight and getting another piece of mail ready to send to the muse as well.

i'd like to thank John Sweet for his nice little blog post about my latest chapbook. it is greatly appreciated my friend.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i'll be on here tomorrow afternoon most likely. it will probably be between loads of laundry.

hot and muggy, rinse and repeat

started the day off today with some thunder. not sure if that's a sign of things to come...

i had a pretty lazy Saturday. i think i caught up on just about all the sleep i could.

it was painfully obvious the home plate umpire last night was totally fucking annoyed the New York Yankees came from behind twice to force extra innings last night in Seattle. the Yankees had two strike threes called on them in the top of the 10th last night that were around the ankles. in the bottom of the inning, the strike zone was about the size of a penny. naturally, Seattle won 6-5. the Yankees will still have a chance to win the series this afternoon.

the USA vs. Costa Rica game last night completely changed when Clint Dempsey entered. one big assist and one big goal later, the USA won 2-0 to advance to the Gold Cup finals. the goal ties Clint with Landon Donovan for the most goals scored for the national team. hopefully he breaks it in the finals. this was easily the best the USA has played in the tournament.

ROH was excellent last night.

i did catch a little of the UFC last night.

Risk was fascinating last night on Showtime. i think i learned more about Julian Assange than i ever thought i was going to. i highly recommend it.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ballers, Insecure, The Strain, Twin Peaks, I'm Dying Up Here and Power.

i will be watching WWE Battleground for most of the evening.

Manchester United takes on Real Madrid this afternoon. that should be interesting to say the least.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

another day meant for air conditioning

i think i actually broke a sweat walking to get the paper this morning. mind you, it was a little after nine in the morning. i doubt i go outside much at all today.

i did do a little poetry work this morning. i believe i have 13 poems i'm going to send out on Monday, most likely. i'm pretty happy with this batch as this is completely going against what i normally do in the summer. i think i have written more in the last 6 weeks than i have in the past five summers combined. i think i may know why as well. more on that in 3 days (what would have been my father's 70th birthday).

the New York Yankees won last night, 3-2. it helps that the Giants made 4 errors and lost their best player in the 4th inning. the two teams play again this afternoon.

Big Brother went how i wanted last night. i'm pretty sure the producers wanted Tiffany to march right back in the house. i wanted Victor to win, mostly because he could at least be a threat to the other guys in the house. thankfully, Victor did win.

NJPW was really good last night.

Treehouse Masters was pretty cool. they happened to be building a treehouse on the property of the drink i was drinking watching the show.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

if i get bored enough today, i might just send out the poems. i know there's supposed to be some storms later today and probably more tomorrow.

mom went to the grocery store this morning. she isn't back yet, so i bet it's fucking packed.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. take it easy and then take it again.

so, i guess i'm supposed to be single until i die

when the question got asked this morning, i was a little stunned. not that it was asked, but that it was asked again. anyone that knows me knows that i have had horrific luck with meeting women on Google+ in my life. chalk today up as yet another one. and this was from one i actually thought was legit. we said our hellos this morning and then she wanted to know what bank i used. my first thought was holy shit, it's happening again. she said her mom needed to send her some money. her mother is in Texas. i said something about it being sent online and that there would be no need for my help in this matter. and right after whoever typed back ok, the next thing that pops up is exactly what you see in every you have won money from Nigeria email you get. all i need is your full name, address, phone number, etc. i started to laugh and asked if you would like my credit cards and bank account as well. i hit the block button before i got a reply. holy fucking shit. i have purposely opened myself up as i know i need fans, friends, etc. as a writer if i ever want to make a little money doing this before i die. but if part of that means i am going to get scammed every other day... i might just have to shut down the whole fucking thing and go back in my hole. i feel sorry for anyone that is of the opposite sex and actually does like me. the amount of fucking hoops they will have to go through will probably drive anyone away. so, there's how my morning went, how was yours?

enjoy some music as i clean my pallet:

i am still fucking pissed from the USA losing last night to Jamaica 2-1 in the Gold Cup. once again, the shitty fucking defense killed them. plus, it doesn't help that they lacked urgency when it came to scoring. now, they will play Panama in the 3rd place game and have to face either Jamaica or Mexico in October to see who plays in the Confederations Cup in 2017. i'm not shocked at all the columns i see today calling for the coach to be fired. i doubt that happens, but he's definitely on some thin fucking ice now.

i also watched some of that Mexico vs. Panama game last night. to any American that watched that game but doesn't watch many games from Mexico or South America regularly like i do, now you see what you have been missing. it's usually a damn near riot every game.

the New York Yankees won last night 4-3. that gives them another series win. this afternoon, they go for the sweep.

Big Brother did a decent job but didn't go far enough to show just how far off the deep end Audrey has gone the last few days. i truly can't wait for her to be evicted tonight.

wrestling was pretty good last night. NXT did the usual contract signing shenanigans that always happen in the WWE. that being said, the rematch between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens should be great. Eva Marie has made some real strides but she still has a long way to go. hopefully she makes it because she totally has the look of a star. and i do hope that Bayley gets the title soon, mostly so Sasha Banks can stay up on Raw and Smackdown. Lucha Underground was great last night. excellent storytelling as usual and i am totally psyched that Ultima Lucha will start next week. that should be awesome.

here's some funny shit:

i have been pleasantly surprised with who the Sacramento Kings have signed this season. they probably won't make the playoffs, but they should be way closer to being respectable once again.

after the Yankees game this afternoon, it's either going to be a haircut or a trip to the grocery store. not sure what will happen first. tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, Married, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Lip Sync Battle.

that's all for me today. hopefully everyone reading this is doing better than i am.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

one of the days where humidity is spelled with a capital H

i went out to feed the cats and 10 minutes later i was drenched with sweat. i believe the humidity was higher than the temperature. something close to what i have always imagined hell to be like. it was so bad i went inside and shaved for the first time in weeks. and taking a shower with no water softener is someplace on the second level of hell i guess.

went on a little trip to Indiana to do some shopping with my mother. i actually found some music at Best Buy that i wanted. luckily, i had some gift cards from Christmas left. so, you'll be seeing some new names pop up at the end of these posts in the next few days.

after that, we came back to our rural cluster fuck of a town and ate at Waffle House. funny, all of the damn times i've been to these places all over this country and i have never ordered a waffle once. and i still haven't.

i'm really shocked that the Miami Heat are incapable of playing 2 solid games in a row. it should make game 6 interesting tomorrow night.

tonight is a split television night for me. first night of The Voice finale and a Monday Night Raw that should be interesting. i'm really interested to see what songs the final 3 choose. i figure which one connects best with the audience at home will win. not the best performer necessarily, but the best one at tugging on the strings of emotion. as for wrestling, CM Punk is back, so that means i will pay a bit more attention to the product again. should be a fun night.

i will give a glancing view or two to some hockey as well. this series has seven games written all over it. and hopefully all seven of them go to overtime.

congrats to the muse on getting her NIN tickets. glad to see some dreams come true for a change.

i wrote 3 poems last night. after typing them up today i feel pretty good about them. not sure if any of them are blow me away winners but, my opinion isn't the one that matters. i imagine i will be sending them out in a week or so. hopefully i have a few more that need to get out of my head soon.

i really hope the plumbers show up early and get the new water softener in without any problems tomorrow morning. and by early, i mean something around 8 am. so i can brush my teeth with something other than iron water.
