a calamity of errors

you ever have one of those days where if you truly had the chance, you wouldn't mind if death busted down the door and said hello? welcome to my morning. couldn't sleep worth a shit last night. i knocked over a pill bottle and can't fucking find it in my room. apparently, gravity isn't working in here anymore. i must have put the decimal point in the wrong place while making my morning bets. so, i'm truly hoping that wasn't a $100 fuck up this morning. the cherry on top was i almost got ran off the road on the way to the grocery store by a school bus. apparently, they are allowed over the yellow line if they fucking feel like it.

grocery shopping went fine today. my arthritis has been raging, but i am sadly fucking used to it now. i was thinking about it on the way home. i think i have been in some kind of pain for nearly every day of my life since the age of 15. 33 fucking years of it. and people wonder why death always seems to pop up in my mind.

the joy of finding toilet paper...

of course, it couldn't be the toilet paper i wanted, but shit, it will do. and mom got a bunch of wipes sent to the house today. so, we're set for the next month or so i think. i did get everything on the grocery list today. took going to 3 different stores to do it. i did get a good laugh when i was in Family Dollar. they were talking about the woman that was leaving the store when i was walking in. apparently, that was her third time in the store that day. mind you, this was before noon. she changed her clothes and came back twice. all for toilet paper and cleaning supplies. the joy of living in a town full of Republicans. everyone here is hoarding everything. fucking assholes.

here is your video for this day of National Poetry Month:

i did a total of 5 recordings last night of my poems. i will be posting the next one probably early next week on SoundCloud.

Total Bellas was pretty good last night.

Young Sheldon was pretty funny last night.

Indebted was funny last night.

Vice News Tonight had a couple good nights of shows this week.

Better Things was awesome last night.

Cake was fucking brilliant as usual last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Real Time with Bill Maher and the season finale of High Maintenance. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

our grass got cut today. it was nice enough out that i actually opened up the house a bit.

i managed to shave a bit and get the fucking hair off of my neck before i took a shower today. amazingly, i think the barber shop in town is still open. surprised no one has told the state about that.

Obi Toppin and Anthony Grant pulled off another double trophy take again. both won the Naismith Coach and Player of the Year.

i should be on here early tomorrow. it will definitely be before the first night of WrestleMania 36 starts.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully the weather is nice enough you can get outside for a bit and do something.

stay healthy kids...

oh what a night

WrestleMania this year was an assault on the senses. for someone who loves pro wrestling, it was like having too much birthday cake. 7 damn hours and my emotions went from so damn high to so damn low. not all the matches were great, but none of them were truly dog shit either. i did love Kevin Owens winning over Chris Jericho and the Hardy Boyz coming back to win the Raw tag team titles in the ladder match. that moment was too fucking amazing. as soon as their music hit, i was a child again. when i saw that Jim Ross was coming back to call The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns, i pretty much knew that this was going to be Taker's last match. and when i saw his wife behind the announce table, i knew it was going to be the end. on top of all that, you had it's all about me John Cena proposing to Nikki Bella. i would have loved to seen her say no and slap him. that would have made for great television. all in all, definitely a show that will be remembered forever.

the New York Rangers ended their long ass home losing streak last night, defeating Philadelphia 4-3. of course they would win on a night i wasn't watching.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 7-3. that's the 6th straight opening day the Yankees have lost. it's pretty simple for them this year. if they get the pitching, they will compete. if they don't, it's going to be a long fucking year.

Big Little Lies had one of the best series finales i think i have ever seen last night. it was spectacular and tied so much up. when Jane had that look on her face, i nearly shit myself when i figured it all out before they showed it on screen. such a wonderful series.

Girls was pretty damn good last night.

Crashing was very funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was hilarious as always.

Homeland was great last night. the season finale next week should be great.

Billions was really good last night.

Feud: Bette and Joan was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the men's college basketball championship is tonight. Gonzaga vs. North Carolina. i've got North Carolina winning, so that probably means they won't.

i had to take mom to the cardiologist today. talk about a fucking waste of time. everything with her heart is fine. this was simply her regular doctor covering his ass for her surgery. she still doesn't know when that is going to happen. she's hoping she can get another shot for her back before it does.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays.

a national holiday for wrestling fans

today is the day that the 8 year old child dying inside of me gets to have some fun. WrestleMania. hard to believe this will be the 32nd one i have watched.

before we get to all that good stuff...

for National Poetry Month today i give you:

the New York Rangers lost their third game in a row last night, 4-3. exactly the way you want to be playing going towards the playoffs. now they will have to try to clinch in Columbus, a game i could have got tickets to earlier this season but i figured they would already be clinched by now. fuck me.

Saturday Night Live had a few funny moments last night, but not enough to make it a good show. i love a dirty joke but the joke has to be funny, not just dirty. maybe someone should explain that theory to the writers.

i did finish watching Trainwreck this afternoon. i thought it was very funny in some parts and some parts just dragged on for me. i did think John Cena was pretty funny in it. i'm happy though that i didn't rush out to see it in the theaters, it wasn't that good.

the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony last night was great. The Fabulous Freebirds stole the show, like i figured they would. i suppose the biggest news from the event was Sting announcing his retirement. of course, i'll believe that when i never see him wrestle again.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl, Girls, Togetherness, Last Week Tonight, Billions and the season finale of Shameless.

i will be watching WrestleMania 32 for most, if not all, of the evening. i'm really hope the show is as good as the NXT event was. if it is, this will go down as one of the best Manias ever. i'm really looking forward to see what kind of chaos Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar can cause. the ladder match that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are in should be great. the triple threat women's match should steal the show. and anytime there is a Hell in a Cell match, there is bound to be something totally fucking crazy happen. plus, it's a long ass show, so there is plenty of time for the crazy shit.

Manchester United defeated Everton today 1-0. Martial scored in the second half and the boys got another clean sheet at home. the win puts them just 1 point out of the top 4. amazingly, they still have a chance at the Champions League. i will enjoy a victory beer tonight while watching wrestling.

i have my Dean Ambrose shirt on and my New Day socks on, so i'm ready for some wrestling.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. he had a great interview with one of my favorites, Bray Wyatt.
you can find the podcast by going here: http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2016/4/3/wrestlemania-32-special-with-bray-wyatt

i hope everyone has a great Sunday. may it be better than your Saturday.

drink yourself to sleep

so, imagine my surprise yesterday when i completely forgot the New York Rangers were playing in the afternoon. i was watching Ohio State be completely disinterested in their game with Illinois and the score to the hockey game scrolled across the screen. oh fuck, i guess that's why i couldn't find a channel for the game at night. so, for the next 90 minutes or so, it was constant flipping back and forth.

Ohio State found a groove in the second half, mostly due to Ezekiel Elliott. plus, the defense yesterday was outstanding. although the score doesn't look sexy, a little better officiating and it would have. Ohio State won 28-3.

the New York Rangers won their 8th game in a row yesterday, beating Ottawa 2-1 in a shootout. both goals in regulation were scored in the first period, which i didn't see, so from the middle of the second period on it was a pretty tight game. a big two thumbs up to Chris Kreider for standing up for a teammate and completely rag-dolling a motherfucker after a hit to the head. of course, The King was up to his usual tricks. and by the end of the shootout, the sun had shined on a dog's ass once again. (hello to you Dan Boyle). the boys go for 9 in a row tonight at home against Toronto.

Saturday Night Live was very good last night. the opening was very classy and i thought the sketches were way fucking funnier than last week. ROH was excellent as well.

i couldn't get my back loose for anything yesterday. but, after a few victory drinks (that were mostly whiskey), my back was good enough that i could get some sleep.

the Marlon Brando documentary on Showtime last night, Listen To Me Marlon, was excellent. i highly recommend it.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

i'm slowly getting really pissed that it is becoming harder and harder to find the videos i want to include in this blog each day. if that happens to continue, either the number of videos will decrease or this blog will be on WordPress or Tumblr before too long.

on the DVR tonight will be Homeland, The Affair and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play at the Washington Redskins today. hopefully the Saints can get a win.

i'm hoping my fantasy football teams do good today. i do have some injury concerns, so that's always fun.

my fantasy hockey team looks like it's going to have yet another losing week. i'm just good enough to almost win each week. this is getting fucking frustrating.

i suppose i should go see if my mother is still alive. i haven't seen her at all this morning.

i have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. it's with an orthopedic doctor. i'm sure he'll be thrilled when i tell him about my bad ankle and bad back. on top of arthritis that is getting worse by the day.

i have no clue if i will blog before or after the appointment tomorrow. i suppose it depends on how this long ass day goes.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i do hope your Sunday is even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

a lull in the monsoon

before i start bitching about how the rain and my scar tissue just don't mix, here is your national poetry month link of the day:

http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2014/04/02/mathematical_poetry_month_let_s_make_it_happen_this_april.html

we probably got around an inch or more of rain this morning. and not the slow, constant rain that farm fields really enjoy. this was a pounding rain with some thunder. needless to say, i have been in misery for most of the day. haven't gone for the pain pills just yet, but i'm close.

i did send out some poems today. 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon and 4 to Luciferous. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

the New York Yankees offense is missing in action. they lost again last night 3-1. if they get swept tonight i would expect a few people to start strapping themselves to the bridges. hopefully the bats can start driving in runners in scoring position (this has only been a problem for a few years now) and they can get the taste of winning back.

the New York Rangers play in Colorado tonight. they are 3 points away from clinching a playoff spot. so, with a win tonight and a Capitals loss or overtime loss tomorrow, the Rangers are in before the weekend. got a little update on their best d man today... he's day to day but there was no structural damage. so, i'm going to assume that he's not playing tonight, which affects my fantasy hockey team. and considering i'm already trailing in the championship round, i had to make a move for tonight. so, that truly begins the grind.

Legit and Ali G were pretty fucking funny last night.

i do believe The Big Bang Theory is new tonight. i'll get that in before the sports start tonight.

i fell asleep during the second half of the USA vs. Mexico friendly last night. sadly, it was after Mexico came back to tie the score. i would have been fine falling asleep when the USA was leading 2-0. instead, it finished 2-2. if the USA could simply play like they did for the first half in the World Cup, they actually might stand a chance in the group of death.

got a few more cartoons today from Janne Karlsson. they are simply genius. if i can't find a publisher for them i may just have to dust off the wallet and put them out myself.

that's all for me today kids. i'll be on here tomorrow after the second round of submissions go out.

be well, be good, be bad, be drunk, be disorderly, be the revolution...

peace.
