so, i didn't get to bed until 5 AM. i did the dishes after i watched the shows last night and then sent those poems out. eventually, my brain gave up and i fell asleep around 5. little did i know, mom didn't fall asleep until around 5 as well. so, when i was chowing down breakfast at 11:30 this morning, knowing that i had to get her to her physical therapy at 1 this afternoon; she was on the phone cancelling her appointment as most of her breakfast ended up as vomit in the trash can. i was getting ready when she told me she wasn't going. that set off a nice chain of events with my body, as i tried to slow all the processes down, if you know what i mean. that didn't work. so, after a few memorable moments on the toilet, i took a nap this afternoon and think i'm back on the tracks. as for my mother, i think she is still asleep. i figure she needs it.

well, it actually feels like summer today. plenty of sunshine, a little humidity, etc. etc.
i knew as soon as i left to go do the grocery shopping, they would show up with the new oven. sure enough, as i was coming back from the local grocery store, they were putting in the new oven. it's light years from the one that was in here, so it will take some getting used to. but, at least dinner won't be out of the microwave like the last month has been.

the first round of the NHL Draft is tonight. the New York Rangers have the second pick in the draft, so i am fairly confident they can't fuck this up. now, i do expect them to be busy trying to make some trades, but i will be shocked if they get back into the first round after pick #2.
i did watch a good amount of the NBA Draft last night. way too many fucking trades for my liking. and i'm not exactly thrilled with what the Sacramento Kings did, but i am so fucking used to that by now.
