a cloudy Friday...

so, i guess i really needed some sleep last night as i just completely passed out in my massage chair around 12:15. i woke up at 3:53 and was shocked. i didn't even do mom's eyes before she fell asleep. i apologized to her this morning about that. as usual, i'm guessing it was the gin.

here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Rangers won last night at the Islanders, 9-2. they won all 4 games this season against the Islanders for the first time in over 20 years.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage was pretty funny last night.

i did watch some college hockey last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Real Time with Bill Maher.

the Yankees play tonight at home against the Giants.

so, i wrote 2 poems yesterday while mom was doing physical therapy. i typed those up after i watched the second half of the Manchester United game.

it was 1-1 when i started watching. United took a late lead and i honestly thought they could see the game out. silly me. they gave up a goal at the death of the game, 96th minute. 2-2 in the first leg against Lyon in the Europa League. second leg will be next week at Old Trafford.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

another rainy day...

the rain is still going on. i am hoping it will be ending soon, but i have no clue. i spent most of today in pain. i was able to help mom pay her bills. as soon as i get this done, i have to add up all her stuff for her taxes. and then at some point, i would love to shave and shower tonight.

here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:

the Yankees lost last night at home to the Marlins, 5-2. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow night at Cleveland.

AEW Dynamite was ok last night. i laughed when i saw the CM Punk footage they were teasing. to release it with no audio makes no sense and it doesn't prove Punk to be a liar like so many were hoping. it would be nice if AEW would realize they are light years away from being on WWE's level, so just improve the product and give the fans a reason to watch. i don't think Tony Kahn has it in him to not be petty.

Abbott Elementary was hilarious last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy as usual.

American Horror Story was fucking nuts last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Philadelphia.

i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to her accountant. of course, if she doesn't feel up to it, i will have to take all the paperwork there myself. thankfully, it is in town, so not a far drive.

i need to go get started on dinner.

and now another thing...

the fan on my router or modem (i'm not a big technology guy) has been running nonstop and loudly for the last 12 hours or so. just great.

here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees lost last night at Cleveland, 3-2. hopefully, they will win tonight.

the New York Rangers lost at home last night to Buffalo, 3-2 in a shootout.

the play in games for the NBA playoffs start tonight.

Monday Night Raw was good last night.

Perry Mason was excellent last night. i think just two more episodes are left in the season.

The Voice was a look back on the season so far and at Blake's time on the show.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, MLW and Deadliest Catch.

i might watch some of the Champions League when i get home from mom's physical therapy later today.

hopefully, i will have poems to type up as well.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

a day from hell

add in some rain, stupid fucking people, some cunt trying to scam me on PayPal, and a trip to the Kroger pharmacy that i will have to make again tomorrow... what a day from fucking hell this has been.

the rain started right about the time i had to take mom to her physical therapy appointment. my arthritis was raging on the highway. that's always fun. i wrote 3 poems while i was there. i typed those up a little bit ago. i really like them. mom fell asleep while she was in her appointment. i figure she is getting closer to death as she spends nearly all her days and nights in bed now. we went to McDonald's for her frozen coke but the line was too long for her patience. i had got a notice while i was in the waiting room at the physical therapy place that someone sent me an invoice on PayPal. i checked that out when i got home. someone said i bought a gun in February. that made me laugh. thankfully, i was able to cancel the invoice. as i told my sister, if it would have been for a better gun, i might have pressed for the weapon. i had to then make a trip to the post office since there was a piece of mail in our mailbox for someone in a town roughly 20 miles from here. after i dropped that off, i went to Kroger. mom was supposed to get two bottles of pills and the eyedrops she gets that are over the counter. the guy gets everything, rings it up, i pay, and away i go. i get home, mom opens it up and starts to laugh. the pills were right. the eyedrops were the 5% kind. she gets the 2% kind. FUCK ME. so, i guess tomorrow i get to take that shit back to Kroger and hopefully get the right one. i'm in so much pain and so fucking frustrated, this is the type of day where i would feel completely justified to take out a few thousand people and just thin the fucking herd. of course, i'll never get to do that, but what a lovely thought...

the Yankees lost last night to Boston, 4-3. they left a small village on base, so i wasn't surprised they lost. they start a series tonight with Toronto. unless the Yankees pitch really good in this series, they will have to hit to even have a fucking chance against the Blue Jays.

the season finale of Billions last night was excellent. i can't wait for the next season of the show.

the season finale of Super Pumped: The Battle for UBER was good last night.

Power Book IV: Force was really good last night. season finale is next week.

Shining Vale was hilarious last night. that season finale is next week as well.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Game Theory with Bomani Jones was fucking great last night.

of course, it had to be raining...

i swear it has been raining for the last 2 days. my arthritis is fucking killing me. good times. i was going to do this blog early today, but i knew there was no way i could get it done before the Manchester United game, so fuck it, wait until it is over. i'm glad i did.

before we get to all of that, your poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is Todd Cirillo. i don't think i have been published with Todd before, but i do enjoy his poetry whenever i come across it. he is definitely one of the better ones out there.

night 1 of WrestleMania was awesome last night. other than the weather delay to start the show, i thought it went way better than i was expecting. Bad Bunny absolutely stole the night. and i am so fucking happy for Bianca Belair.

ROH was good last night.

Austin City Limits was the Janelle Monae show i mistakenly deleted awhile back.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

the Yankees lost yesterday to Tampa, 4-0. i'm hoping they won't get swept today. it isn't looking good, so far.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Nevers, Last Week Tonight, VICE, the series finale of Shameless, City on a Hill, Desus & Mero and Batwoman. i'll be watching night 2 of WrestleMania 37 on Peacock for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play tonight at the Islanders. hopefully, they get another win.

Manchester United came from behind to defeat Tottenham today, 3-1. i only got to see the second half of the match. i am really happy United won.

a big thank you to everyone that has checked out my latest published poem:

i missed the first half of the United game because i was watching the Stone Cold interview with Chris Jericho. that was a fun 2 hours for sure.

my package from Topps never arrived yesterday, even though it was supposedly on the truck and to be delivered. hopefully, i'll get it on Monday.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.

one of those nights where you might as well sleep on the floor...

if it wasn't one thing, it was another last night. way too many emails that i needed to open and my computer was running like shit. i was so fucking tired, i nearly fell asleep at the computer. i'm sure i would have ended up on the floor by the time the morning came around. it doesn't really matter, i only got 4 fucking hours of sleep anyway. and i guess i get to finish up the cleaning today. joy.

here is your video for this day of National Poetry Month:

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be At Home with Farm Aid, Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i'm not really sure what i'm going to do today. i'd love to get some more sleep after i get the shit i need to do around the house done. it's one of those dreary ass days where the sun doesn't exist anymore.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow, before my sister gets down here.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. hopefully the weather is better wherever you happen to be.

80 degrees in April... nothing to see here...

i'm not going to get into the global warming rant i normally have on here, if you don't believe it exists you are simply fucking stupid. i can't wait to do the grocery shopping tomorrow, hopefully after the madness of what is coming in the morning is over with.

i did do a little poetry work this morning. i know where my next 20 poems are going. that should happen in the next few days.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month.

the New York Yankees got swept in Houston last night, losing 8-6. they are thankfully off tonight before they start a series tomorrow night at home against the White Sox. it was the first time the Astros ever swept the Yankees. joy.

i did watch a good portion of the NHL playoff games last night. will probably do the same tonight. if you ever watch any hockey, make sure it's the playoffs.

NXT was good last night, as was NXT UK.

Dark Side of the Ring was excellent last night.

What We Do in the Shadows was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Better Things and Desus & Mero.

i honestly have no damn clue what the Sacramento Kings are doing. they had their best season in years this year and the reward is firing the Assistant GM and head coach.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. i'm hoping to get the poems out in the morning. hopefully, the storms don't knock out the power or the internet. (knock on wood)

i'm going to check out some of the Frozen Four now. (college hockey final four)

will i ever see the sun again?

it has rained all day. and by all day, i mean it started raining at about 8 pm yesterday. so fucking glad i have arthritis now. good times.

i went to the doctor today to see how close i am to becoming a diabetic. lucky for me, i'm getting closer. so now i'm taking a pill twice a day and i go back in 3 months. good times.

for National Poetry Month, i give you:

i heard back from The Literary Hatchet last night. they rejected the last 2 poems i had sent them. so that made 6 poems that got rejected yesterday. to make up for that, or just another act of defiance, i wrote 6 poems this afternoon. after typing them up, i really like 3 of them. of course, that usually means the other 3 will be the first to get published.

the New York Rangers will be facing Pittsburgh in the NHL playoffs for the 3rd straight year.

i finished in 3rd place in fantasy hockey this season. hopefully next year will be my year.

the Sunday night shows were hit and miss last night. Vinyl was excellent. i can't wait until the season finale next week. Girls was pretty funny. Togetherness felt like it was sort of just thrown together at the last minute so it could be the finale. the show deserved so much better. House of Lies was basically the same show it has been for every season it has been on the air. a few funny lines and some nudity. works for me. Dice was a complete turd. i can't imagine i'll watch another episode of that again. the season finale of Billions was excellent. and it certainly set things up for an interesting season 2. and finally, Last Week Tonight was hilarious as usual.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Gotham and The Voice, which is starting the live shows tonight. i will be watching Monday Night Raw.

i listened to Sam & Cathy today. it reinforced my thought that if i ever live in NYC, i won't bother with a car.
you can listen to it by going here: http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/4/11/sam-cathy-006-car-ried-away

beat down and tired

so like a dumb ass, i decided to give a shit about the Red Sox vs. Yankees last night. 19 innings later, i remember why baseball stopped being my favorite sport in my 20's. needless to say, i'm running on little sleep, my sister is back in town, and i have a farm to go help clean out. these are the days where i wish i drank coffee or was addicted to heroin.

welcome to the 11th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'd like to highlight the lazy bastard i am and just post three random YouTube videos that i happen to enjoy. well, the first two poets i really like and have been published with. the third video got me with the title. anyone that knows my dating history of black women, they will understand. hope you enjoy, go support, etc. etc.

i will give the Yankees credit for at least fighting back last night. but they pissed away chance after chance to win the game in extra innings. they have way too many left handed bats and are too easy to pitch to at the moment. hopefully that changes as the season goes on... though i doubt it will. Yanks lose 6-5 in 19 innings. you can imagine how much i needed a beer after that game. they play again this afternoon. thankfully, i will miss it.

today is the final day of the NHL regular season. so by tonight, i'll know who the Rangers will face in the first round and if i made a miracle comeback in fantasy hockey. the Rangers play in Washington this afternoon.

i believe Saturday Night Live is new tonight. i'll watch that, if i happen to not be completely dead by the end of today. on the DVR will be ROH.

not sure when i will be on here tomorrow as the Manchester derby is happening. i suppose it depends on just how much we get done at the farm today. my back isn't feeling great from moving some shit this morning, so this could get interesting in a few hours.

the weather looks great outside. hopefully i'll actually get to enjoy it.

raise a glass for the weekend and i do hope it never gets empty.
