so, i got up early this morning so i could watch the Manchester United game. they lost to Crystal Palace at home, 2-0. besides that, they probably also lost Lisandro Martinez to a really bad injury as he was carted off the field in tears. fuck me.
i plucked an ingrown hair off of my face a few minutes ago. i just now got the bleeding to stop. i swear, one fucking thing after another.
here are your links for today for this day of Black History Month:
the Royal Rumble last night was excellent. i was legitimately shocked when Jey Uso won the men's Royal Rumble. i didn't think the WWE would have the balls to have him beat John Cena at the end. and to be honest, this is exactly how i want Cena to go out. lose every match he has in his retirement tour. that's the best way for him to pass the torch to the next generation. Charlotte winning the women's Royal Rumble made plenty of sense. it was so cool to see Alexa Bliss back. all in all, it was an excellent start on the road to WrestleMania.
AEW Collision was ok last night.
Austin City Limits was really good last night.
the New York Rangers lost yesterday at Boston, 6-3. J.T. Miller scored 2 goals in his return to the team. hopefully, the boys will win tonight at home against Las Vegas.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Dexter: Original Sin. i will probably be watching the 2025 Grammys for most of the evening.
mom and i had a little talk last night about my concerns with her. i don't like that she can't remember how she fell yesterday. in my mind at least, that has to be yet another sleepwalking episode. i told her last night that with how things are now, i don't see her making it through this year.
there was a massive NBA trade last night. and by massive, i mean shocking as fuck.
not sure what i'm going to do this afternoon other than vacuuming the house once mom wakes up.
i should be on here in the afternoon on Monday most likely.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

as long time readers of this blog know, i try to do a little bit each day in this blog in February to celebrate black history month. i also know, most people in this country are way too fucking ignorant when it comes to black history. so, i'd like to think maybe i am teaching someone something they never knew before. so, i will probably share a few links or videos each day this month. i hope you get something out of them. and honestly, i don't want to hear if you don't like it.
that being said, here are your links for this day of black history month:
the New York Rangers made a trade last night with Vancouver. J.T. Miller is coming back to the place where he got drafted years ago. hopefully, he finds the form he had last year and drags the Rangers into the playoffs this year. he will be in the lineup today when the Rangers play at Boston this afternoon.
the Dayton Flyers won in St. Louis last night, 71-63.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
Smackdown was excellent last night. i can't wait for the Royal Rumble today.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision and Austin City Limits.
i will be watching the WWE Royal Rumble for most of the evening.
i did go to the bank today. after i made the deposit, i came back home. imagine how fun it is to come home and find your mother on her hands and knees not knowing how she fell or how she got to where she was. and of course, she didn't want to be checked out or anything. welcome to my day of frustration now. (my best guess now after she just woke up again and doesn't remember falling is she was sleepwalking.)
i did write 1 poem last night. it was about tragedy, which of course, there was another one last night.
i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

today is the day i always love. that is because, tonight will be the Royal Rumble. outside of WrestleMania, this is my favorite WWE event. i'm hoping there will be plenty of surprises and that the card will be even better than it is on paper. and given the latest round of Vince McMahon bullshit, i'm hoping everything goes so well they can forget that that fuck exists anymore. thank god he's no longer associated with the company. Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Las Vegas, 5-2. they play tonight at Ottawa.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and AEW Collision.
the Dayton Flyers play at Richmond tonight. both teams are undefeated in the A10.
i'm sure i will watch plenty of college basketball today before the Royal Rumble starts tonight.
i am going to try to be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the FA Cup.

last night, the WWE Royal Rumble went on forever it seemed like. if i had any complaints about the show, that would be the start and end of it. when your main event starts around 11:45 and you have already been watching for nearly 5 hours... lets just say i'm no longer a spring chicken. i thought both rumble matches were good, with Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley emerging as your winners. there was way more surprises in the women's rumble this year. i thought the pitch black match was ok, as were the other singles matches. the main event was good, but the story afterwards was the best fucking storytelling WWE has done in decades. to watch Sami Zayn turn on Roman Reigns and the way the crowd popped for it, chef's kiss. the way Jey Uso walked out on his family and everything that could come from that, chef's kiss. and to be honest, a chef's kiss to the crowd last night in San Antonio, Texas for the "Fuck You Roman" chant that was louder than i think anyone expected. when this is the kickoff to the road to WrestleMania, i can't fucking wait for the next few months and what happens.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
Austin City Limits had The War on Drugs on last night. that was a fun hour of music.
Manchester United won yesterday against Reading in the FA Cup, 3-1.
the Dayton Flyers destroyed Richmond yesterday, 86-60.
the USMNT and Colombia played a 0-0 draw last night. thank god i didn't watch.
the New York Knicks lost last night at the Nets, 122-115.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Your Honor and The Last of Us.
i finished with a little more money than i started with by last night in my day of gambling. i'm hoping for better results today.
i will be watching both games today in the NFL playoffs. the Eagles play the 49ers first, then the Bengals play at Kansas City. i have the 49ers and Bengals winning today.
i'm sure i will watch some of the FA Cup action today and some college basketball. i did love watching Liverpool getting knocked out of the FA Cup this morning.
i have no clue when i will be on here on Monday.
i'm currently running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep, so i will probably get a nap in before the football games. or at least i fucking hope i do.

mom and i decided to get pizza and wings last night from Pizza Hut before the Royal Rumble. it was the first time she had a really good amount of protein since she had her surgery. i thought the Royal Rumble was pretty good last night. it is kind of funny to think that the best guy in the men's Royal Rumble match was Bad Bunny. i did like Paul Heyman turning on Brock Lesnar. that sets up what should be a really good WrestleMania main event. this Roman Reigns and babyface Brock Lesnar haven't faced each other at the event before. i'm going to guess this will be their best match. all in all, i'm looking forward to the road to WrestleMania.
Saturday Night Live was very funny last night.
i did go to Menards yesterday. it was more packed than normal. now i remember why i rarely ever shop on the weekends. i did find everything i was looking for. and with the rebates i had, i got everything for under $60.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Power Book II: Ghost, Billions, Euphoria, The Righteous Gemstones and Somebody Somewhere.
the New York Rangers play at home this afternoon against Seattle. the Rangers need to end this losing streak today.
USMNT plays at Canada today. i'm hoping the USA finds a way to get 3 points out of this cold ass match today.
the conference championship games are today in the NFL playoffs. the Bengals play at the Chiefs. and the 49ers play at the Rams. i'm hoping both games are really good today.

as soon as i opened the blinds this morning, i could tell it was colder than shit outside. good times.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at home against Rhode Island, 53-51. i watched most of the game on the television. i'm happy i wasn't there as i'm sure i would have been miserable given that Dayton couldn't put the ball into the ocean last night. but thankfully, they actually won one of these ugly ass games for a change.
the New York Rangers pissed away a 2 goal lead again last night. they lost to Minnesota, 3-2. the ceremony to retire The King's #30 last night was excellent, as usual.
the season finale of Chillin Island was very good last night.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was very good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live.
i'm sure i will watch some college basketball today. i am planning on watching the WWE Royal Rumble on Peacock tonight.

we got a little more snow and i don't think the wind chill got out of the teens today. good times.
i did get my baseball cards i ordered today. i paid (with shipping, tax, etc.) $31 for the box and i probably got close to $50 worth of cards in it. that made me pretty happy.
WWE Royal Rumble last night was excellent. i picked the winner of the women's match correctly and i was slightly shocked when Edge won the men's royal rumble. but, that should make things interesting.
Axios was very good last night.
the two episodes of The Lady and the Dale were pretty fucking fascinating last night.
Shameless was fucking hilarious last night.
Your Honor was very good last night.
Batwoman was really fucking good last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Investigation. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
the USMNT defeated TNT last night 7-0. i only got to see the highlights, but i am encouraged with what i have seen so far.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Pittsburgh. so, Tony DeAngelo cleared waivers and the team is currently trying to trade him. the GM has stated publicly he will never play for the Rangers again. this makes me happy. Kaapo Kakko is on the COVID list but he is feeling fine. the lineup tonight will have a new forward and new defenseman in it. i'm hoping the addition by subtraction works and they find a way to win tonight.
i did listen to episode 328 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i make a trip to the bank. i wanted to go today but my back said no.
i also had a lovely conversation with this woman in New Jersey who believes we are in a relationship since we say hello to each other each morning. that made me laugh. it's painfully obvious the age difference. i believe she told she was 26. i told her i doubt that after this morning. it's really hard for me to believe at 45 that most women online aren't actually men from Nigeria trying to work a scam.
i think we got around 3 to 4 inches of snow last night. not nearly the amount that some were saying. now, it might rain a little later and then go back to snow, so that's going to be sloppy as fuck if that happens.
Manchester United and Arsenal played a 0-0 draw yesterday. that's 5 points dropped in United's last 2 games. that's how you find a way to lose a championship.
the Dayton Flyers defeated Rhode Island yesterday, 67-56. Dayton was trailing at halftime by 3 points and started the second half on fire. what impressed me the most yesterday was Dayton's defense. they held Rhode Island scoreless for the first 12 minutes of the second half i think.
the New York Rangers lost in OT last night against Pittsburgh, 5-4. that's 5 fucking games in a row the Rangers have blown a 3rd period lead. i guess Tony DeAngleo and Alexandear Georgiev got into after the game. from what i have heard, Tony called him a commie and AG punched in the face. this morning, the Rangers put Tony on waivers and i am more than fucking happy his time with the Rangers is hopefully over forever now.
WWE Backstage was really good last night.
ROH was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.
Austin City Limits had the best of Spoon on last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, The Lady and the Dale, Shameless, Your Honor, Batwoman and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching WWE Royal Rumble for most of the evening on WWE Network.
i was up pretty late last night getting some baseball cards together for another sale. i currently have a deal going on for 100 cards of your favorite team for $30. the cards are some rookies, some insert cards, maybe even some hall of famers, etc. i don't think i have the cards to offer this in football, hockey or basketball. but, i do know i can do that in baseball cards. so, if that is something that interests you, feel free to send me an email and we can talk about.
the USMNT takes on Trinidad & Tobago tonight in a soccer friendly.
hard to believe this is the last day of January.

i was kind of in the void yesterday when i got done with the blog. i was never a huge Kobe Bryant fan, mostly because he always killed the team i loved (Sacramento Kings), but as a basketball fan, it was hard not to know just how damn good Kobe was. i was really hoping for something last night to get my mind off of his death and thankfully, the WWE came through for me.
the Royal Rumble was fucking great last night. i mean really, really good. easily one of the top 5 Royal Rumbles off all time. and that is fucking saying something.
the season finale of Shameless was excellent last night.
Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night.
Batwoman was good last night.
Power was really good last night. the series finale is in two weeks.
The Outsider was fucking great last night.
Avenue 5 was pretty funny last night.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was hilarious last night.
i did watch a little of the Grammy Awards last night.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.
Austin City Limits was very good last night.
ROH was good last night.
WWE Worlds Collide: NXT vs. NXT UK was fucking amazing last night. it set the bar really high for the Royal Rumble tonight.
the Dayton Flyers won at Richmond last night, 87-79. good teams win, great teams cover the spread. Dayton plays again on the road on Wednesday at Duquesne. Dayton is 7-0 in conference play and 18-2 overall. they haven't lost in regulation yet this season. here's Richmond's coach talking about the Flyers after the game:
