when i got up to take a piss this morning, it was 8:30 AM. i went to bed at 5 AM. i was tempted to fall back asleep, but i didn't. i put the dishes away, made some coffee and got going with my day. probably a good thing as the guys came to do the gutters around 10 AM. so, now we have leaf guards on the gutters. that should help with the squirrels and whatever else. i did manage a bit of a nap in my massage chair. but a 20 minute power nap didn't do that much for me.
here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
the New York Rangers won last night at Washington, 4-2. they won the series 4-0. they will now play the winner of Carolina and the New York Islanders. i would love if that series goes 7 games.
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:

the New York Yankees won yesterday at Milwaukee, 15-5. they start a series tonight at Baltimore.

so, i didn't get to the BMV this morning like i wanted to. the rain and my arthritis was kicking my ass this morning. but, i finally decided to power through it and made it to the BMV this afternoon. thank fucking god i used the online process to begin with. that probably saved me 30 minutes of my time. i passed the vision test and showed all the shit i needed to show for the new license. that will be mailed to me in a few weeks. i got back in time to watch the Yankees lose (more on that in a bit) and Manchester United to play an incredible second half against Roma. (more on that in a bit as well).
the poet of the day for this day of National Poetry Month is Howie Good.
the New York Yankees won last night over Baltimore, 7-0. i was hoping they would win the series today, but of course, they didn't. they lost to the Orioles today, 4-3 in 10 innings. they left a small village on base. oh well.
when i got back from the BMV, Manchester United was losing to Roma 2-1 in the Europa League semifinals. thankfully, United woke the fuck up and destroyed Roma in the second half. United won the game 6-2. that gives them a huge advantage to actually make a fucking final for once.
AEW was really good last night.
The Masked Singer was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Sheldon, B Positive, Desus & Mero, the season finale of Cake, The United States of Al and the season finale of Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on Peacock.
i will probably watch a good portion of the NFL Draft tonight. the rumors out there are the New Orleans Saints are trying to trade into the top 10. plus, i don't think anyone knows for sure who San Francisco is taking at number 3. so, it might actually be interesting tonight.
on top of all that, the New York Rangers are at home tonight against the Islanders. basically, the playoffs start now for the Rangers. they are probably going to have to win out to actually make the playoffs. and considering the Islanders are ahead of them in the standings, tonight is a game they MUST WIN.
my order from Amazon.com showed up today. i should have enough sleeves now to put the cards in. i'll do that late tonight probably.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. at least it won't be fucking raining tomorrow, so i should feel much better.

i'm not sure why it has to be this way with Manchester United, but it does. they will simply sleepwalk through games sometimes and it will usually take the other team scoring to wake them the fuck up. that pretty much sums up today's game against Arsenal. a 2-1 victory that United definitely needed but probably didn't deserve. oh well. it ensures that Arsenal will not finish in the top 4 and that United will. now United needs 4 points from their last 3 games to clinch a second place finish in the league. Pogba scored in the first half and Fellaini scored the winner in injury time.
here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:
the New York Yankees scored early and often last night against the Angels. they won the game 11-1. they were up 10-0 after the second inning. they will go for the sweep tonight.
here are your highlights from the NHL and NBA playoffs last night:
ROH was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Homeland, Billions, Barry, Silicon Valley, Westworld and Drop the Mic.
i will probably watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight as well. i'm currently watching Game 7 between Cleveland and Indiana as i'm writing this.
i'm not sure what to make of what the New Orleans Saints did in the NFL draft this year. i think they stretched a bit too far for some players, but only time will truly tell.
i didn't see any frost this morning, but i know it did get down into the 30's last night. amazingly, i think i almost slept 6 hours, without alcohol.
i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully, what's left of your Sunday will be even better.

so i got a email from a stranger yesterday. they needed to tell me that what i have written about my father and wanting him dead is disturbing and they wouldn't be buying any of my work. my poetry is nothing but drama, hatred and filth. that part made me smile. i guess my writing is good enough that the point is getting through. i emailed this nobody back and told them i completely understood his position, but if his father didn't have his hands around his neck trying to choke him to death, he has no clue where i'm coming from. sadly, i haven't heard back from him.
i enjoyed the King of the Ring tournament last night. as much as i would have loved to see Neville win it, i'm ok with Bad News Barrett winning. hopefully this finally gives him the push that he's needed for years.
i nailed The Voice last night. mom was coming in giving me the details and i told her who the bottom 3 was going to be 20 minutes before they were announced. what i didn't expect was that the country dude didn't get saved last night. that was a pleasant surprise. now the show will get really interesting.
Undateable last night was fucking hilarious. that show is really great.
the New York Yankees got just enough offense last night and some more great pitching to win 4-2. of course, it wasn't all good news as they had to put Tanaka on the DL with a strained forearm. that's not a good sign for a guy with elbow problems. they go for the sweep this afternoon.
here's something funny and something that may make you puke from last night:
i'm looking forward to NXT tonight and Mick Foley night on the WWE Network. on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground.
i did a little poetry work last night. i'm going to do a little more after the baseball game today so i can hopefully get a submission ready for late tonight/early tomorrow.
i tried that Long Island Iced Tea Mix from Bud Light last night. not great, but definitely not as bad as i feared.
that's really all for me today. i may try to sneak off to the bank today as i finally got a check i was waiting for. but, chances are i won't. the way the body is feeling today, it's going to be a struggle to fucking walk, let alone drive anywhere. good times.
