#never forget

as much as i know i will never forget 9/11, i also look back on it as such a wasted opportunity to unite this country. and as we sit here in 2018, the most divided we have been in 50 fucking years, i wonder if this divide would have happened if the right steps would have been made to unite this country on 9/12/2001. of course, the Republicans were in power then, as they are now. it's all about greed and war while they are in power. they are only conservatives when the left has the power. it's the joy of being a fucking hypocrite i suppose. but, they are rich, so they don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks.

i saw Rolling Stone posted a story today from David Foster Wallace about 9/11 as seen from the Midwest. that made me immediately think about the poem i wrote about a week after 9/11.
that poem is in my book Sofisticated White Trash. feel free to buy it on Amazon.com. it was true back then and it is still true today.

it was actually nice enough that i was able to get outside today and take down the bird feeders by the windows and clean up the fucking weeds and vines a bit. the new windows will start going in on Thursday.

the New York Yankees erupted last night in the 7th inning and defeated the Twins, 7-2. hopefully, they can win again tonight.

i was in and out of Monday Night Raw last night. i really don't think i missed much. it's obvious they were trying to set up Hell in a Cell this weekend without doing too much.

i know the muse and my mother were very happy last night when the New York Jets won. i watched some of that and some of the Rams victory over the Raiders.

the finale of Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story was very powerful last night. i love how it showed how all these racists came out of hiding when Trump started running for President. it's not a coincidence. they are proud to have a racist running this country, just like how they thought it was always meant to be. to them, it's sort of like the south finally won the war. the irony being, it was a stupid as fuck asshole from New York that did it for them. i also liked how they clearly showed the confederate flag is racist as it was declared by the asshole that created it. i know, fucking logic. it doesn't work with the ignorant.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Fuck That's Delicious and Mayans M.C. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the USMNT takes on Mexico tonight in a friendly. i would to see the USA win, but i don't have my hopes up.

i have to take mom to a doctor's appointment tomorrow. this is with the doctor that fucked up her disability claim, so it should be very interesting.

i will probably be on here after we get home from the doctor's appointment and a late lunch.

i have trash to go pick up and i really need to shave and shower after working outside today.

that's all for me kids.

it's always fun to win at the death...

i'm not sure why it has to be this way with Manchester United, but it does. they will simply sleepwalk through games sometimes and it will usually take the other team scoring to wake them the fuck up. that pretty much sums up today's game against Arsenal. a 2-1 victory that United definitely needed but probably didn't deserve. oh well. it ensures that Arsenal will not finish in the top 4 and that United will. now United needs 4 points from their last 3 games to clinch a second place finish in the league. Pogba scored in the first half and Fellaini scored the winner in injury time.

here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees scored early and often last night against the Angels. they won the game 11-1. they were up 10-0 after the second inning. they will go for the sweep tonight.

here are your highlights from the NHL and NBA playoffs last night:

ROH was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Homeland, Billions, Barry, Silicon Valley, Westworld and Drop the Mic.

i will probably watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight as well. i'm currently watching Game 7 between Cleveland and Indiana as i'm writing this.

i'm not sure what to make of what the New Orleans Saints did in the NFL draft this year. i think they stretched a bit too far for some players, but only time will truly tell.

i didn't see any frost this morning, but i know it did get down into the 30's last night. amazingly, i think i almost slept 6 hours, without alcohol.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully, what's left of your Sunday will be even better.
