well, it will probably be over tonight...

i didn't think the Yankees would play this bad in the World Series. i knew the Dodgers were a better team, but i honestly thought the Yankees would pitch better and get a few clutch hits. silly me. the Dodgers won Game 3 last night, 4-2. they will go for the sweep tonight. i'll be pleasantly surprised if they don't get it.

well, it looks like Manchester United are closing in on a new manager.

Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

The Voice was excellent last night.

What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. it will probably be after Manchester United's game against Leicester in the Leagues Cup.

it got up into the 70's here today. it should reaching 80 tomorrow. time to break out the shorts again.

i did write a poem last night. for some reason, i couldn't get the formatting right. i'm not sure how i fucked that up, but i did get it printed out. more trial and error coming i guess.

well, here comes summer again...

when it gets hot around this time of year, i always wonder which person around here will be the first to say fuck it and start a fire in their back yard. we have a no burn warning due to the drought and it never fails, some fucker will light something up. i really worried about it when i lived on the farm for those 18 years. the wind we would get out there... you can easily tell how a wildfire would move so damn fast. i did get some weeds pulled today and took care of the dying tomato plant. since the trash goes out tonight, perfect day to get that done.

the New York Yankees won last night at home against the Royals, 10-4. hopefully, they will win again tonight. Baltimore lost, so the lead in the AL East is now up to 1 1/2 games.

i did watch some of the 49ers vs. Jets game last night. between the two Jets fans i know, the muse and my mother, neither were really happy last night.

the season finale of Name That Tune was good last night.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

i am tired...

you ever have those moments where the fog never lifts and you realize you haven't been able to get really good sleep for about 30 years now. welcome to my world.

the New York Yankees pissed away the lead yesterday against the Cubs and lost, 7-4. they fired their hitting coach after the game. i wish they would fire a few more coaches and players... it is now the All-Star break. the Yankees will be off until July 14th when they play at Colorado.

the USWNT defeated Wales yesterday, 2-0. they are now off to New Zealand for the Women's World Cup.

the USMNT defeated Canada in a crazy ass game last night. the match finished 2-2 after the 30 minutes of extra time. then the USA won the penalty shootout 3-2. they will play Panama in the semifinals. Mexico will play Jamaica in the other semifinal.

The Righteous Gemstones was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

i think i found the one...

so, i think i finally found the perfect woman for me. now, it is just a matter of convincing her that she is the one and how the fuck can we erase these miles between us. but, this might be the fire that actually lets me live past the age of 50. so, that's some pretty amazing news for today.

the New York Knicks won last night over Orlando, 115-102.

a cold ass morning...

i actually got up this morning to piss and was able to fall back asleep. of course, all that means is i was able to get over 4 hours of sleep for a change.

we did get dug out this morning. i'm not thrilled with what mom had to pay the guy. i get the feeling i'll be putting down some better salt later this afternoon.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was really good last night.

Celebrity Big Brother was pretty funny last night. Teddi Mellencamp was the first one eliminated.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

welcome to a holiday weekend...

i ended up taking a shower at like 2 in the morning last night. i was really hoping it was going to help me sleep. so of course, i was up at 7:30 this morning. i guess my only hope for good sleep is death. good times.

Ohio State started off somewhat sluggish as i figured they would last night. thankfully, they settled down in the second half and defeated Minnesota, 45-31. the defense isn't as good as the offense and it is glaring in most spots. so, i get the feeling that Ohio State is going to have to outscore everyone this season. the offense is good enough that i think they might be able to do that. next week is the home opener against Oregon, which will be a really good test to see how good they actually are.

the USMNT got a 0-0 draw last night at El Salvador. at least they didn't lose, but they need to be way more clinical with their chances. the next match is against Canada.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. Sara Beth was voted out. Tiffany is the new HOH.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

both episodes of What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Bitchin': The Sound and Fury of Rick James. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

the Yankees play tonight at home against Baltimore. they need to win all these games against the lower teams that are left on their schedule.

i had to go to the ATM this afternoon for mom. she wanted me to get out $250. it takes almost 20 minutes to drive to where their closest ATM is. it wouldn't allow me to take out the $250. it said went past the daily allowed amount. after talking to mom, i tried $150. that worked. when i got home i told mom i wasn't sure what the fucking problem was since one of the on screen options for withdrawal is $300. another reason why i hate small banks.

i did go to the Rite Aid near that bank today. i got one box of Fairfield baseball cards for $2. there was about $15 worth of cards in it. that made me happy.

i'm going to try to be on here in the morning tomorrow, before all the college football games start.

i hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. hard to believe that summer is basically over now.

so, i did send out some poems today. 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and Red Eft Review (already rejected); 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash (2 accepted for publication) and Synchronized Chaos (all 5 accepted for publication). when i hear back from The Beatnik Cowboy, i will pass along the verdict.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Big Brother was good last night. Whitney did get evicted and i think Derek X is the new HOH.

Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.

the Yankees won last night over Seattle, 5-3. Joey Gallo had a huge 3 run homer that was the difference. hopefully, the Yankees will win again tonight.

i did stay up to watch the USA women's basketball team defeat Serbia, 79-59. they will play Japan for the gold medal.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

the USA men's basketball team plays for gold tonight against France. i do plan on watching that.

i believe my sister is coming down tomorrow as well as a couple of my cousins. so, i do plan on having the blog done before they get here.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

mom had her nurse here this morning at 9. so i was up at 7 or so. of course, just 4 hours of sleep again. so, the fog is certainly here today. i'm hoping a shower will help that go away.

happy Juneteenth 2021...

it rained all of last night. i couldn't find a comfortable spot in bed for the life of me. i checked the rain gauge this morning and it was over 3.1 inches. fuck me. we did have some tornadoes in the area last night. one to the north of us, one to the east and i think two to the south. the satellite was out for a good portion of the night, but thankfully i only missed some of Smackdown.

i got to see most of the Hell in a Cell match between Rey Mysterio and Roman Reigns. from the highlights i saw, i really didn't miss much from the rest of the show.

205 Live was good last night.

AEW was really good last night.

Pause with Sam Jay was excellent last night. the season finale is next week.

Real Time with Bill Maher was very funny last night.

Betty was excellent last night.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night.

the Yankees lost to Oakland last night, 5-3. they are currently losing again, 4-1 in the top of the 5th. joy.

i did watch most of the Euro 2020 games so far today. i'll watch Spain and Poland when i get done with this. Hungary shocked France this morning with a 1-1 draw. CR7 finally scored against Germany, but it wasn't nearly enough as Germany won 4-2 over Portugal.

by the time the satellite came back on last night, the Copa America was already over with. Argentina defeated Uruguay 1-0.

enjoy some music:

got a little lucky today...

so, i went out looking for some cards today. i decided to go to the Rite-Aid south of where i live. i have had some success there before. i found a Fairfield box of football and baseball cards. both of them had autographed cards in them. that was a welcome surprise today...

living with back pain...

today was one of those days where the pain is like a nagging child or an old friend that can't hold his liquor. i bent down to get a can at the grocery store and felt like i was in my late 80's. joy.

i went to 4 damn stores today and still couldn't find everything on the grocery list. i did buy some hockey cards today at Meijer. i got a box of Upper Deck MVP Hockey and 3 one touch magnetic card holders. that was all they had there, every damn box was empty. i did get some really good cards in the box i bought. hell, the Sidney Crosby card i got is going for $15 on Ebay. the gold card i got (Brady Tkachuk) in it is easily going for around $10 in places, so i think i made good investment in the box for $21.

i did watch the NFL game last night, at least most of it. the Titans defeated the Bills 42-16.

i did listen to episode 312 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. hell, i'd love to sleep more than 4 hours for a change. i think i'm going to have to start my living better with chemistry campaign and start the drug use again to get some more sleep. joy.

welcome to the weekend...

so i guess there's a fucking full moon and it's going to be the Fourth of July. what the fuck could go wrong?...

i have taken advantage of Bandcamp Friday and bought a ton of music today. you'll see some of that listed below.

i ended up watching some WWII footage last night about Hitler's executioner and some David Blaine magic. you would think with nothing on i would have been a little more productive. you'd be wrong.

NXT UK was another best of last night. hopefully, one of these days, they'll have some new material to show.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

my hunch was correct this morning. i put out the mail last night because i figured the mailman would be here early so he could start his 3 day weekend ASAP. sure enough, the mail was here before 11 this morning.

i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning.

i have no plans for the 4th. hell, i doubt i even watch some fireworks on television.

i think we're making meatloaf for dinner tonight. on these type of dishes, i more or less play the role of sous chef until mom can't take standing or gets tired. she got a little worried last night when i put some garlic in the mac and cheese. i loved how surprised she was when she liked it.

if you are one of the dumb fucks playing with fireworks this weekend, be safe. don't burn anything down or harm yourself, unless you are a racist. then, please just find a way to die.

have a safe weekend kids. stay hydrated.

until tomorrow...
