welcome to the weekend...

 so, i took a shower around 4:30 AM this morning. i find sometimes my body really likes doing this kind of shit at the weirdest fucking hours. i got to sleep around 6 AM. and of course, i was up around 11. but, i do know why i got some sound sleep.

the New York Rangers won last night at Carolina, 3-2, in OT to go up 3-0 in the series. the Rangers have won their first 7 games of the playoffs, just like they did when they last won the Stanley Cup in 1994. i don't want to get ahead of myself, but the 1994 comparisons are giving me some really good vibes. Game 4 is Saturday night at Carolina.

both episodes of Young Sheldon were good last night. George's death hit me like a ton of bricks. hard to believe the series finale is next week.

deep breaths...

 yesterday was one of those days where counting to ten didn't do the trick. neither did a few deep breaths. but, i made it to today. yeah for me. (and yes, i said that with a dripping sarcasm)

the Yankees lost yesterday to Boston, 8-1. they will hopefully not get swept today for the second straight series, but i won't be holding my breath.

Manchester United lost 2-0 at Tottenham yesterday. if yesterday proved anything, they really need to get some more players in the transfer market. 

i did watch both Leagues Cup games last night. Philadelphia defeated Monterrey 3-0 to win 3rd place. Inter Miami won the Leagues Cup, defeating Nashville in a penalty shootout, 1-1 (10-9). Messi scored again, big shock.

i did get a text from Rite Aid yesterday saying my prescription was ready. by the time i made it to the store, the pharmacy was closed. so, i went there earlier today and got it. fun.

i didn't make it to Menards yesterday. so, as soon as i get this done, i'll be going there.

Leagues Cup starts tonight as well. i might watch some of Messi's debut with Inter Miami against Cruz Azul. Leagues Cup is the new in season tournament between the MLS and Liga MX, Mexico's top division of soccer teams. it should be rather interesting.

the Yankees start a series tonight at home against the Royals. to say i couldn't give two shits right now about them is an understatement. Trevino is now out for the season with a wrist tear that he has been trying to play through. if Judge has a setback, they might as well start trading off who they can and just play the fucking kids.

i need to get going since i still have to feed the birds, vacuum the house and make dinner.

 if you are a pro wrestling fan, this week is basically like Christmas. i am really looking forward to everything this week, so, of course, there is a million other things i need to get done this week as well. mom got a call this morning that they moved up her appointment for physical therapy. so, this blog is going to be written as fast as i fucking can do it.

 when i got up this morning, it was 19 degrees outside. doesn't spring start tomorrow? fuck me.

the New York Rangers whipped the shit out of the Penguins last night, defeating them 6-0. hopefully the boys saved some for Nashville tonight.

well, my brackets are dead now. Kansas lost to Arkansas, 72-71. i don't think i have ever had my final two teams not make it out of the first weekend of the tournament. DAMN.
