so, the rain is going to turn to snow...

so much for spring... when i told my mother she needed her winter coat today when we were going to her physical therapy session, i could tell she wasn't happy. mom freaked me out last night. i went and got some Lee's chicken for dinner. her sodium numbers were low enough that she could have a meal. so, after she ate, she felt so full that she wasn't sure if she was dying or not. i took her blood pressure and it was at a level where she probably should have been having a stroke. low enough that i asked if she wanted me to call the squad. she said no, let me die in my chair. i said i'll have to call someone or they are going to charge me with something. all in all, i think it was a ploy to get some red velvet cake. after the cake and some lemonade, she was fine. i helped her with her exercises and by 2 AM, her blood pressure was fine. by this morning, it was truly back to normal, it was high.

i did watch the USMNT play Mexico last night. the match finished up 0-0. honestly, if the USA would have been clinical in the final third, they would have won 2 or 3-0. oh well. a solid point on the road. now, the USMNT comes home to take on Panama. if they defeat Panama on Sunday and Costa Rica does something other than win, the USA will be in the World Cup.

NXT UK was pretty good last night.

both episodes of Atlanta last night were spectacular. i'm so happy the show is back.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

NJPW was good last night.

Dicktown was hilarious last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Real Time with Bill Maher and Painting with John. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Pittsburgh. this could be a playoff preview, so i'm hoping the boys play a complete game and win.

i picked Gonzaga to win it all this season, so of course they lost last night.

i'm sure i'll watch some of the games tonight as well.

i did see that HHH retired today from pro wrestling. given what my mother went through with her heart failure, i know exactly what he was talking about and just how fucking scary that is.

i believe i am going to make some turkey burgers tonight.

i should probably be on here tomorrow in the late morning/early afternoon most likely. if we do get snow in the morning, i'll be beyond pissed.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

until tomorrow kids...

#ThankYouArchie

this blog was going to be mostly about the USA crushing Honduras last night until i got news early this afternoon that Archie Miller was leaving Dayton to take the Indiana job. i always knew this day was coming. i never gave much thought to who was going to be the next coach as i guess part of me never wanted Archie to leave. but, if i'm being honest, Indiana is one of those jobs that i can't argue with leaving Dayton for. now, it's all about who the next coach of Dayton will be and how many of the great recruiting class that is supposed to come to Dayton next season can that coach convince to stay. life as a college basketball fan that cares...
a 7 year contract worth $4 million a season will get anyone to leave Dayton. thanks for putting Dayton back on the national map coach. you will always be loved here.

now, i had a good feeling that the USA would win last night. i didn't expect a 6-0 ass whipping of Honduras that took the team from last place in the group to 4th. now, a win in Panama on Tuesday and it will be officially crisis averted.

NJPW was really good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

i laughed as i saw someone on Twitter write that if Xavier goes to the Final Four the same day Archie leaves Dayton, he's done with basketball forever. i completely understand.

i will probably watch some of the college basketball tonight. Xavier vs. Gonzaga and Kansas vs, Oregon.

the New York Rangers play late tonight out in California against the Kings. so it will be another late night for me.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow.

mom hired a cleaning service and they are here now. i'm going to go be a pervert and see what poems pop into my head.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

finally got out of the house

mom and i knew it was going to be a clusterfuck going shopping on good Friday, but so be it. we were out for over 4 hours. she was beyond tired and my feet were killing me. but, we got a ton of shit we needed. after we got gas and went to lunch, we hit up Menards. we haven't been in a few weeks so i definitely needed to get some shit for the birds. i got some different feeders that will hopefully piss of the squirrels. but, they didn't have the suet i needed. so, we went to Meijer to find that. thankfully, they had some. mom found some shit she wanted to get for Easter that was on sale. that made her happy. after that, we hit the grocery store. amazingly, we must have hit at the exact right time as we were able to just about get everything we needed and be out of there in a little over 60 minutes. that included standing in line to get pills. that gave me enough time to actually get some shit done outside before the sun went down once we got back home. hopefully, the bamboo wind chimes will make enough noise to drive the neighborhood nuts. all in all, a tiring but well worth it kind of day.

WWE Smackdown was very good last night. i'm really liking how WrestleMania is shaping up this year. it should be a good one.

the season finale of Baskets had a little bit of everything in it. the ending reminded me of what i wanted to do in my teens. just hop a damn train and see where i ended up. i guess i still have time to do that.

i got 3 of the 4 college basketball games right last night. i guess that makes up for my fantasy hockey team shitting the bed. how i come back from the deficit i am in in just 3 days is beyond me. well, i guess that would stop my streak of finishing in 2nd place for the last 4 years.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.

my sister won't be down until tomorrow. i guess work is keeping her longer than she expected. well, at least i know what i'll be listening to her bitch about all weekend.

i got done outside just in time to see the USA U-23 squad get a 1-1 draw on the road with Colombia in Olympic qualifying. that road goal should be HUGE for the second leg down in Texas.

i will be watching the USA take on Guatemala tonight in World Cup Qualifying. hopefully they feel like getting a road win tonight.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'm guessing late morning/early afternoon, but i have no clue if any "family" shit is planned for this weekend.

for those of you celebrating Good Friday and Easter and all that, enjoy. for the rest of us, i hope you get some good candy.
