a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

growing tired of the excuses...
at one point yesterday, i felt like i was busier than 9 cats covering up shit in a windstorm. between the bank and two different grocery stores, a swell of humanity thinking the end of the world was coming, and a gas station to fill up (just in case)... i got back home in time to put the groceries away and turn around and go to the Dayton Flyers game. when i saw where i was going to be parking, i thought to myself i should have stayed home. the way Dayton started the game, my mind hadn't changed. Dayton dug out of the hole they put themselves in against Rhode Island and had a chance to win the game in regulation. and they had a chance to win the game in OT, but of course, did neither. Dayton lost 72-70 to a god awful Rhode Island team. and then to hear Dayton's coach after the game put the blame on himself for not having the team ready to play... i was fucking apoplectic. it's fucking March. there is no excuse in the fucking world to not be ready for that game at home when the end of the season is near and people are starting to talk about your team being on the bubble for the NCAA tournament. and people wonder why i never wanted this motherfucker to be hired in the first place. Dayton played like Rhode Island was going to travel all this way and just lay down for them. that pretty much explains 19 fucking turnovers at home and only have 2 starters play like they give a shit. now i have been in that building for some truly painful losses over the years. but rarely did i sit there and stew about the shitty play calls or who was actually in the game at the critical moments. here is what i think is the major flaw in Anthony Grant's system. he treats this job like it is a NBA job. you can see in the timeouts, the assistants are doing all the work. he's more or less the CEO. and honestly, he should never be allowed to draw up another play out of a timeout this fucking season. Dayton had 2 players going last night, Obi Toppin and Ryan Mikesell. neither of them got the ball at the end of regulation or at the end of OT. it's fucking mind blowing to me that both times the hopeful shots were put up by a guy who didn't score the entire fucking game.
the New York Rangers lost to Montreal last night, 4-2. the game was over by the time i got home last night.
NJPW was pretty good last night.
WOW was good last night.
The Shop was excellent last night.
the season finale of 2 Dope Queens was hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.
i will probably watch some of the MLS games tonight. their season began today.
i got up this morning (i'm on barely 4 hours of sleep at the moment) and watched Manchester United. with a win today, they would move back in the top 4. Southampton got a wonder strike in the first half to go up 1-0. in the second half, United got a wonder strike of their own from Andreas Pereira to even it at 1-1. Lukaku scored to put United up. Southampton got another wonder strike to even the game at 2-2. and then Lukaku scored in the 89th minute to put United up 3-2. that was the final score. it's starting to feel like the old days again. i can remember watching United when i was younger and being amazed at the number of goals that would come in "Fergie Time". perhaps, since Ole scored plenty of those goals, the glory is coming back.
i guess the winter storm is supposed to hit us tomorrow. they are saying we're going to get 2 inches of snow. yesterday at the grocery store, the cashier was talking about the white death coming this weekend. i almost said something about a KKK rally, but i kept my mouth shut.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after the New York Rangers play in the afternoon. of course, if that game gets too bad, i'll be on sooner.
i hope everyone has a good Saturday. call if you need bail money.
