the purge...

so, i'm on here way later than i wanted to be, but it is for a very good reason. last night i decided to go through my stack of unpublished poems. granted, i should have done this earlier or better yet, every year, but last night was it. i think i might have retired around 300 poems last night. now, i was hoping it would stir some new poems out of me last night. that didn't happen but at least i won't have years and years of work to wade through to figure out my submissions now. that being said, i will hopefully get some poems out soon.

the New York Rangers lost last night in Montreal, 4-3, in a shootout. at least they woke up soon enough to get a point out of the game.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

i did watch both NFL games yesterday. the Steelers beat Baltimore, 17-10. Houston beat the Colts, 23-19.

AEW Collision was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Curse.

the Dayton Flyers play at home in a few minutes against UMass. hopefully, Dayton will win.

the New Orleans Saints play at home today against Atlanta.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of NFL games today.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the FA Cup at Wigan.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday.

until tomorrow kids...

you ever notice your left hand trembling...

i love when i get ready to start typing and don't know exactly what i'm going to put down and my left index finger starts to tremble a bit... i always wonder if that is just anxious energy or my little precursor to Parkinson's. good times.

the Yankees lost yesterday to Seattle, 2-0. they left a small village on base and lost Gleyber Torres to a sprained thumb. sure, why not add another fucking player to the injured list. they play tonight at the Royals. they need to start another winning streak as the Blue Jays are right behind them now. thank god Boston is choking their season away.

Big Brother was good last night.

The White Lotus was excellent last night. next week is the series finale.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan was good last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i listened to episode 355 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i also checked out some of the NBA Summer League games today.

the New York Rangers gave a really nice extension to Igor Shesterkin today. hopefully, he will help bring them a cup in this deal.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

mom has her physical therapist coming tomorrow morning and then we go to her new podiatrist in the afternoon. i know anytime she has two appointments in a day she will be worthless the rest of the night and the next day. plus, with the humidity being crazy this week, her Meniere's disease will truly be fucking with her. this is going to be one of those weeks from hell.

so, i should be on here in the afternoon tomorrow.

thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:

sometimes the words just get stuck in there...

i think the mixture of alcohol and some random phrases put me to sleep last night. i think i got a solid 5 hours or so. add that to a cup of coffee this morning, and i think i'm about as fresh as my ass is going to get.

those random phrases turned into a 4 page poem this morning. that's easily one of the longest ones i've written in about a decade.

i did watch most of the New York Rangers game last night. they certainly tried to piss away another lead last night. but, they held on to win 6-5 over San Jose. that ends their losing streak and sends them into the All Star break 1 point out of a playoff spot.

Mosaic was excellent last night. i can't wait to see what the final two episodes have in store tonight.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW, Mosaic, Treehouse Masters, Real Time with Bill Maher and High Maintenance.

Manchester United plays today on the road in the FA Cup. they should win today, but i've thought that plenty of times this season and they haven't.

after that (or before if i get a wild hair up my ass) i'll be going to the grocery store. at least i got the prescriptions out of the way yesterday.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow. i would assume long before Dayton plays on the road tomorrow afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

another late night

i was up again pretty late last night/this morning. but, this time i was busy doing some poetry work. i went through my poems and came up with 21 poems to send out later this week. i'm planning on sending to two places i have never sent before, so that's always interesting. more on that in the coming days.

i woke up to a lovely email from someone who i'm really hoping becomes someone special in my life.

ROH last night was excellent. all of the matches were top notch. if they ever get a major television deal, they could give the WWE a run for their money.

the Yankees were stopped yesterday by some great pitching and them sadly reverting back to what they did earlier this season. they couldn't get a hit with a runner in scoring position to save their life. they lost 3-0. they play again this afternoon to try to win the series.

the Paul O'Neill ceremony was very nice. it certainly brought back some great memories.

it will be another busy night of television tonight. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, and finally Masters of Sex. after all that, i'd love to get some sleep.

it certainly feels like it is going to rain today. i haven't taken down the trash yet. i'm waiting in hopes i will have a victory beer to recycle later this afternoon. it was really humid this morning when i was feeding the cats. watched Whitey take a piss and then try to rub up against me. i don't think she expected me to swat her away as quickly as i did. i did enjoy watching the three new kittens playing around with each other. once of these days i'll try to get a video or pictures of them.

that is all for me today. i hope this finds everyone having a great end to their weekend.

be well. be cool. be creative. be easy.

peace and chicken grease my enemies...
