it's just another day to me

i've promised myself i won't write any i'm alone again on Valentine's Day poems this year. thankfully, the weather has turned to shit, so i can always write about that.

i'm running on not much sleep at the moment and i'm truly dreading the -20 with the windchill temps that are coming this way.

the hockey game last night in Columbus was great. it's always fun to watch a couple of ex-New York Rangers find a way to beat the fucking Philadelphia Flyers. the Flyers blew a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period to lose 4-3 in OT. that loss helped me flip the stats in my fantasy hockey this week. all in all, a pretty good evening.

mom and i went out to Waffle House when we got back into town and it might have been the worst service i have EVER received at any restaurant in my life. we sat for 20 minutes before we even got asked what we wanted to drink. and then the food i ordered was almost cooked completely. almost. needless to say, i'll probably have a poem about that experience written soon.

i didn't watch Treehouse Masters or NJPW last night. i tried to get some sleep. i might have got about 4 hours.

when i got up this morning i remembered i didn't check my email last night. thankfully i had less than 100 emails to get through this morning. i fed the cats and told them i'll be on dead cat detail tomorrow morning as i'm sure one of them dumb fucks will freeze to death overnight. the snow isn't bad. the wind is ferocious. it's already blown the barn doors open and knocked some of the wood off of one of the barns. good times. i'll be sleeping by a heater tonight that's for sure.

the Dayton Flyers somehow beat St. Bonaventure today 75-61 with basically 6 1/2 players. one player got injured (hopefully he's ok and just missed the second half as a precaution) and another fouled out before the end of the game. i was waiting for Dayton's coach to just play with 4 guys Hoosiers style. but, i'll certainly enjoy the victory beer tonight. here are some highlights:

most of the really bad weather happened while we were inside at the game. the drive home wasn't too bad. of course, getting gas was a bone chilling experience.

tonight, i'll be bouncing between some NBA All-Star shit (3 point contest, slam dunk, etc) and the New York Rangers game at Arizona. after that, i'll be watching ROH tonight and hopefully staying warm.

i'll be back on here early tomorrow, that is if we still have power or if Frontier Communications has managed to keep the internet up and running. it went out on me this morning as i was trying to watch some YouTube videos. that's always fun.

hopefully your weather is a hell of a lot warmer than mine is. i do hope you are having a great weekend. if not, pour yourself something stronger. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

welcome to the bitter cold

i'm not really looking forward to the next few days. it is supposed to get really cold. not life and death cold, but cold enough that i'll have to make an effort to stay warm in the house. good times.

the New York Rangers have fallen into a very risky trend here lately. great teams, hell, even good teams can get away with constantly blowing 2 goal leads in the 3rd period. amazingly, the Rangers got away with it again last night. but, 2 points is 2 points. and there were a few nasty goals as well last night in a 6-3 win.

and that wasn't even the nastiest one:

here are the full game highlights:

i did happen to write a poem last night. i will probably type it up sometime this weekend. i'd like to write a few more so i have a good bunch to type up.

i was in some pain last night trying to fall asleep. how i managed to get around 6 hours is beyond me. i'm happy i did though as i have some driving to do today.

this will be a short one as i need to get to the bank and get the mail before mom and i leave to go to Columbus for the hockey game tonight.

i won't probably be back on here until Saturday afternoon/evening as the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow at 12:30 PM. needless to say, i'll be running on empty after that.

i'm not sure if i'll get to watch what i normally watch on Friday nights (Treehouse Masters, NJPW) when i get back from Columbus tonight. i'll probably be busy checking my emails.

i really need Columbus to beat Philadelphia tonight. my fantasy hockey is struggling this week and could use that victory.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully you don't have shitty weather coming your way. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

when life gives you lemons, fuck life

i heard that line last night on Comedy Central. i believe i have found what is either going on my tombstone or as a tattoo on my arm.

today was the classic wake up at 4:30 in the morning and feel like you have got some great sleep even though you just went to bed two hours earlier. i couldn't get back to sleep at all this morning. so, i decided to fuck it and just start getting some shit done online. i did listen to two podcasts this morning, Men in Blazers new one and Sam Roberts Wrestling podcast with Adam Cole.

of course, after watching the Dan Patrick Show this morning (totally fucking hilarious, do check it out if you get a chance), i quickly fell asleep for a few hours. we had some snow showers and some holy fuck, that's a cold wind blow through today. i believe the low tonight is going to be around zero. that will be fun.

mom has started making plans for the phone/internet/Directv, etc at the new house. so, it looks like the plan is going to be for us to be moved in sometime around March 1st. i guess i should start packing and/or throwing shit away. the good news though, soon i will be completely done with Frontier Communications (god willing) forever. those fucks "forgot" to take the $25 off of the bill like they said they would. i just wish they would cross one of these crazy rednecks out here and see what happens. sadly, most of them don't have phones. at least none that they pay for.

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my submission from last month. he has decided to pass on the poems i sent.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. the ending of the show was pretty damn good:

other than that last night, i watched some basketball and some hockey. that will be pretty much what i watch tonight as well.

the New York Rangers play at Colorado tonight. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer late tonight.

i almost forgot (that should tell you about their performance) that Manchester United beat Burnley yesterday 3-1. two more injuries and more uninspired play. i believe the next game is in the FA Cup on Monday.

i saw this today and laughed. and i really mean LAUGHED. laughed so damn hard i cried. enjoy:

i will be on here early tomorrow as i have a trip to the bank planned and a trip to Columbus to see the Blue Jackets play the Philadelphia Flyers. that should make for an interesting evening.

for those interested, the grocery store didn't produce any poems. i might have one brewing about this stunning black woman i saw, but it might end up being about her child. not sure yet.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is warm. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

victory beers and the lost art of tuning out the world

i have a crazy hair on my neck that is driving me fucking nuts at the moment. not sure why i'm sharing that other than the bizarre visual that some of you might get out of that.

last night was an interesting one for me. after my quiet time with the swimsuit issue, i took a shower. i got out just in time for the New York Rangers game.

i decided to watch the Toronto feed for the game. of course, when the Rangers took the lead, i couldn't change over to the New York feed. i was extremely pissed when the Rangers gave up a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period. thankfully, they found a way to get the next goal and win the game 5-4. way too fucking sloppy for my taste. here are some highlights from the game:

the game got over in the middle of the first half of the Dayton Flyers game. to say the basketball game was ugly is like saying Kanye has a massive ego. the game was bowling shoe ugly. both teams played like shit. now, i love defense, but sometimes it's actually called horrific shooting. thankfully, Dayton played just well enough to hang around and Saint Louis did exactly what they have done all season, folded down the stretch. Dayton scored the last 10 points of the game to win 51-44. what could be considered highlights are here:

those two victory beers really helped me sleep. at least it feels like they did. we got a little ice overnight it looked like. thankfully the sun is out now, taking care of it.

Manchester United plays Burnley this afternoon. it is an absolute MUST WIN game at home. i feel like they will win, but i'd love to see them be ruthless in this game. win by like 5 or 6 goals and i'll feel like they have a real shot at beating out these other teams for the top 4. just get by like they have been doing and i'll feel like it is last season all over again, except for the winning part.

after the game, i believe mom and i are going to the grocery store. that will hopefully produce a few poems for me. i'd like to do some writing late tonight.

i'm really looking forward to Lucha Underground tonight. it should be rather entertaining, given what the previews look like.

if i don't do any writing tonight, i'll be playing catch up on some podcasts.

that's all for me. mom needs this computer and the cats are surely hungry by now. hope everyone has a great day. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

all caught up and ready for more...

i caught up on all the shows i missed from Sunday last night. i'm really thankful that i did, as it looks like it was a good night to miss wrestling. Last Week Tonight was excellent. this piece had me laughing my ass off:

Shameless was great. the ending was even better the second time around. i can't wait to see where the show goes next.

The Jinx is going to be one of those slow burn shows. it is very interesting so far. i don't know much of the backstory, so that should keep me interested. murder and money is a good mix to keep me right there with the show.

of course, i will be going through this clusterfuck again next Sunday with the Saturday Night Live reunion show. the damn DVR can't come soon enough.

Gotham was awesome last night. i'm REALLY looking forward to next week.

Men in Blazers was good. as for Monday Night Raw, i caught most of what i missed on YouTube. i'm not exactly thrilled with the product at the moment, so i wasn't upset with anything i missed live.

the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue arrived today. you can imagine how happy i was that mom decided to go into work today instead of working from home. good times.

the New York Rangers play on the road tonight in Toronto. i really hope the boys can get a win tonight. they desperately need one.

the Dayton Flyers will be on after the hockey game as they play in St. Louis. Dayton needs a win as well tonight. i really hope that they can find their second wind here soon.

i got some FREE music on iTunes today. i was a little surprised that these two songs were free. i certainly was happy to take advantage of that.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. they are in a must win situation and i don't want to turn tomorrow's blog into a rant, just in case.

i hope everyone is having a good day. or night. or drink. or bender. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

bleary eyes and a splitting headache... welcome to Monday

i got a headache last night that nearly dropped me to my knees. it had to have been when the cold front was moving through. between that and trying to force myself to stay awake, just another weekend of a borderline sociopath.

i did watch the Grammy Awards last night. i thought some of the performances were good. but, the show overall was just ok. i know i am in the minority, but i can't stand Sam Smith's voice. to me it sounds like two cats fighting over a dead mouse. i was happy for Beck. i loved how he was shocked that he won. i felt old watching AC/DC start off the show. amazingly though, i knew everyone that performed. more useless information stuck in my fucking head.

shockingly, i did watch a good number of the shows i wanted to watch last night. i was in and out of sleep, so a few of them i'm going to try to catch tonight. so, it looks like Monday Night Raw is going to get the YouTube treatment tonight. i only got to see the last few minutes of Shameless last night so i HAVE TO watch the rest of it tonight. that was a holy fuck ending. i also want to catch Last Week Tonight and The Jinx tonight. mix in Gotham and a little wrestling, and you have my Monday.

as for the shows i did watch last night... Girls was good. Togetherness had me laughing. i really like that cast. House of Lies was good. Episodes was good. Total Divas was yet another fascinating hour of bullshit. i think i finally got some decent sleep around 5:30 this morning. of course, i was up and checking email 2 hours later.

team USA beat Panama 2-0 in a chippy soccer friendly yesterday. it was a good win as the boys have been spitting the bit in the second half for the last six months it seems. finally, a clean sheet and a good solid effort. here are the goals from yesterday:

the New York Rangers lost yesterday 3-2 in OT. i was happy that they got a point out of the game since quite honestly, they didn't deserve shit out of the game. they were asleep for the first 40 minutes. i am fearing what this team is going to look like when The King gets back from his injury.

i saw 18 cats when i fed them this afternoon. i guess they were a little hungry.

when i saw this last night, i smiled. easily, one of the best shows EVER:

mom just had a realtor over about the farm. he thinks we can get a decent price for it and have it sold by mid April. all i could think is from your lips to God's ears. if we can get anything over $5,000 an acre out here i will be beyond thrilled. that means i might actually have a decent vehicle to drive come the summer. the truck stalled out on me again today while getting the trash cans from down at the end of the lane. good times.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully the weather is decent where you are. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

it figures

i knew i had a ton of shit to do today, so it figures i wouldn't get hardly any good sleep last night at all. mom couldn't get comfortable in her bed, so she decided to sleep on the couch out by where i've been sleeping. she was sawing down a forest of trees after about 20 minutes. i was trying to watch television. that was fun. i went upstairs, hoping i would fall asleep. 2 hours later, and i was still awake. i came back downstairs to my chair and just said fuck it. it probably took me a good 45 minutes before my body gave up and fell asleep. i got up at 8 this morning, tired as hell. i got the trash picked up and after breakfast, i tried taking it down to the end of the lane. of course, 3 seconds after starting my truck and dropping it in reverse, it shuts off. vapor lock. 20 minutes later, i was taking the trash down. this is surely a sign that today isn't going to go how i want it to. Manchester United made sure of it for me.

thankfully, Daley Blind came to the rescue to get a 1-1 draw between Manchester United and West Ham. honestly, the boys missed a few point blank chances and didn't deserve shit today. they pissed away a great chance to get just 3 points behind second place. oh well. hopefully they play better against Burnley. if they don't, they can fucking kiss the Champions League goodbye.

quickly back to last night, ROH was great once again. Foo Fighters on Austin City Limits was great as well.

here is the rest of my clusterfuck today. team USA plays a soccer friendly against Panama here in a little bit. 1 hour later, the New York Rangers play the Dallas Stars. i'm hoping to be enjoying a few victory beers while watching the Grammy Awards. whenever that is over, i have to figure out how i'm going to watch what i missed on Showtime, HBO, etc. without staying up to 6 in the morning to do it. i really want to see The Jinx tonight on HBO, but i have no clue if i'm going to catch it tonight. that might be a Monday night one for me. i do think i have figured out how to watch Episodes, House of Lies, Shameless, Girls, Togetherness, Last Week Tonight, and Total Divas as long as the Grammy Awards end on time (they never do). needless to say, i'll be playing catch up for most of the early part of this week.

i guess that's what i get for loving music. hopefully, and i just typed hopefully as hard as i fucking could, i will have a DVR next year at this time and this fucking problem never arises again.

the weather here is unseasonably mild. the rain is supposed to start here soon. it is supposedly going to end tomorrow morning as snow. these fuckers haven't been right once yet this winter, so i'll believe it when i see it. but, it was nice to feed the cats today in shorts.

that's all for me today. hopefully you are having a great Sunday. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

heartbreaks and nostalgia... another drink please...

let's rewind to Friday night. i started watching the Dayton Flyers play and quickly realized that the officials were going to ruin this game. and sure enough, that's exactly what they did. the sad part is 2 of the 3 of them have been officials in the Final Four before. so, now i have come to the sad thought that ALL fucking college basketball refs fucking suck. as you might imagine, Dayton lost last night. the kicker is, they lost 65-64 in OT. think about that these dumb fucking officials took away a legit 3 point play from Dayton and you can imagine my fury. Dayton plays again on Tuesday at St. Louis. that more or less is a MUST win given how piss poor this league is in the eyes of all of the "experts" in college basketball.

thankfully, right after that was over there was some great matches on NJPW. i really didn't give a shit that the footage was a few years old. i could watch Okada wrestle all day long.

after that, i watched Treehouse Masters. they were building in Kentucky, not that far from where my father is from. i laughed since most of southern Ohio might as well be Kentucky. they built a massive barn in the trees. how that won't fall down is beyond me.

i took a shower late last night. that helped me get some sleep. i woke up this morning and got a little breakfast and started watching some soccer from Europe. after feeding the cats and the birds, i got ready for the party. we got there a little late, but not as late as the surprised birthday boy was. i haven't seen my friend Mike since he got married. that was probably damn near 15 years ago. most of the people at the party i hadn't seen since that wedding as well. i made sure to get the alcohol flowing as there was no way i was going to go through this day sober. it was good chatting with Mike some. found out he's a Chelsea fan, so of course a part of me despises him now. i gave him and his two sisters my business card, just in case they actually want to read this shit and perhaps BUY A BOOK.

after the party, my mother, sister and i went to this cool used bookstore that's just a few doors down from the restaurant we were at. i found a few things that i bought. i figure a DVD, 2 poetry books, and a Batman graphic novel all for $14 was pretty damn good.

and then to the shock of everyone, i didn't bitch when they wanted to do some more shopping at Target. we did some of the grocery shopping there as well as getting some things for the new house. after getting the mail and unloading everything, i turned on the New York Rangers game.

i didn't have a good feeling about the game today given the bad news from yesterday and how good Nashville is this year. i turned on the game right after Nashville took a 3-2 lead. that would be how the game would finish. good thing i had my alcohol earlier in the day. the Rangers play again tomorrow night on what i'm calling clusterfuck Sunday.

honestly, there are so many god damn things i want to watch tomorrow, i may not get any sleep. from Manchester United in the morning to the hockey game to all the usual Sunday night shows and all the ones coming back on, let alone the fucking Grammys are on as well. fuck me runnin'.

i guess the rest of this day will be spent doing some reading, watching some sports, Foo Fighters on Austin City Limits and a new episode of ROH.

i have no fucking clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i guess in the morning before the soccer comes on. that is if i have got the animals fed and all the trash down to the end of the lane. if my lazy side wins out, it will be in the afternoon when i should be napping.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. or, at least better than my sports teams are doing. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

bummed out

i didn't sleep well at all last night. i was up twice before 4 AM. at that point, i went upstairs to stretch and hopefully relax enough that i would fall asleep. what i did was get my back relaxed enough that i actually had to take a shit. that's always fun. needless to say, i eventually took a decent nap this afternoon. and then i woke up to this news.

http://nypost.com/2015/02/06/rangers-lose-henrik-lundqvist-for-a-month-or-more/

i was in a panic to say the least. i don't trust the reporter that first reported it, so i immediately got online and hoped that someone would refute it. of course, that didn't happen. so, now the New York Rangers are without their starting goalie for the next 3 weeks or so. great. i guess we'll see just how good Cam Talbot really is. if he can keep the team in the playoff race and right there fighting for first in the division, i will be thrilled. i do expect the team will bring someone in as a veteran backup. or, maybe they roll the dice with the younger kid as the backup. this weekend should be interesting for them.

happy birthday to the muse today. i hope you have a wonderful evening.

if all goes as planned (when the fuck does that happen), my television viewing is set for tonight. first up will be the Dayton Flyers at George Washington. this will be a tough one but a game that if Dayton plays their best, they CAN win. i believe they are the underdog tonight, which i love. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer tonight.

next up will be some NJPW on AXS TV. that should be good.

after that will be the new episode of Treehouse Masters. i believe this episode was filmed in Kentucky, so that should be interesting.

i saw this last night and i quickly realized that technology has passed me by:

The Big Bang Theory was really good last night. thank god i never started writing fan fiction.

i will be on here tomorrow after the birthday party i'm going to with my sister. it's a surprise so it should be interesting. i haven't seen this person for a long time.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. may your drinks be cold and may your women be hot. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

just enough snow to fuck up everything

i'm going to try to make this a fast one as it feels like i've been on the damn computer all day long.

my left leg is swollen. i want to believe that it is from when i hit it on the dishwasher. but, given my history with blood clots, there's a decent chance that i will be going to the doctor much sooner than my next scheduled visit. unless of course, shit changes real soon.

the New York Rangers played a whole 60 minutes last night. it was like a playoff game. even without The King in goal, the boys played like it actually mattered last night. needless to say, i was pretty happy drinking that victory beer after a 3-2 win over Boston. here are some highlights from last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent once again last night. here are some highlights:

and to top off everything last night:
needless to say that brought back a ton of memories.

i plan on watching The Big Bang Theory, probably some pro wrestling, maybe some basketball, and god knows what else tonight.

i don't think the cats were ready for the snow we got last night. at least i didn't have to break up any frozen water. i figure that will be different tomorrow. it was just enough snow to fuck up everything.

mom got some good news about the farm today. i won't go into the details, but let's just say we'll have an easier time selling the place now.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, probably the afternoon. maybe the morning. whenever, it will be long before the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow. not sure why they are playing on Friday night. that brings back some memories of high school basketball. and then that takes me back to parking lot brawls and sneaking in alcohol. good times.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

in a constant dream/nightmare...

it seems like my old ass can't stay up past midnight anymore. if life truly begins at 40, then i guess at 39 i'm regressing back to the embryo. i'm chalking it up to the two victory beers. but, my tolerance hasn't got that soft, has it? i guess the birthday party i'm going to this weekend will truly let me know. it's been so long since i've been drunk in public. maybe i'll have to just let loose.

i heard from the muse last night. it's always good to hear her voice although i know any call out of the blue from her means chaos has taken place. this was no different. maybe one day she'll enjoy the quiet life with some crazy poet in Ohio that loves her.

i also heard from my friend in California this morning. she's doing much better it seems.

i start getting poems published left and right and people start contacting me. the world is a funny fucking place at times.

tonight is a bit of a clusterfuck for me. Lucha Underground and the New York Rangers game will be on at the same time. the Rangers starting goalie is out with headaches from the shot he took to the throat two games ago. i fear that he has a concussion. hopefully. he doesn't. i guess we'll see just how good the backup really is now. New York is playing Boston tonight. it will be a tough game.

as for Lucha Underground, i think this is going to be yet another good episode. as one friend put it on Google+ recently, it's a great time to be a wrestling fan.

for those that are interested, i'm doing much better dealing with my shoulder pain. i'm still sleeping in the damn chair, but at least i'm getting just as much sleep as i got in my bed. i do try to get in my bed a little each day. mostly to stretch and jerk off.

enjoy that visual.

there is supposedly some snow moving in here tonight and then it's going to get cold. some genius on the television today said that the teens were bitter cold. i laughed. the teens around here is called winter. get to -30 to -40 and then you have bitter cold. i'm becoming the bitter old man, i can feel it.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

anger is a gift

to say i was a little pissed last night would be a huge fucking understatement. and it wasn't from one of my sports teams or some poems getting rejected or any of the first culprits you may think of. it was due to the main fucking culprit in my life these days... FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS. the absolute worst piece of shit company i have ever dealt with in my ENTIRE fucking life. i was trying to download a song that i got for FREE last night and was wondering why i was having problems. i look over at the modem and sure enough, the fucking internet is out. was the weather bad? no. was there too many people on it? it was almost 11:45 at night. most people in this town are in bed by 10. i'm guessing it was something like some fucker hit the wrong button and couldn't give a shit. 2 hours later, it was still out. i was so fucking angry i went to sleep without having a victory beer. now, that's some anger if you know me. i got up at 5 this morning and it was back on. if not, i might be in jail for torching a building. chalk this up as reason 3,672 of why i am looking forward to moving.

my clusterfuck Monday was good. Monday Night Raw was pretty good after the first hour. thankfully, i didn't watch much of that. of course, i feel a big tease coming on with Daniel Bryan.

Gotham was fucking brilliant once again. this show is easily one of the best shows on television.

the New York Rangers overcame being completely brain dead at times last night to win 6-3. they play tomorrow night in a HUGE game against Boston. here are the highlights from last night:

since i fell asleep last night, i had to do the dishes this morning. i hit my fucking left leg on the dishwasher as i was taking the clean dishes out. nothing quite like drawing blood at 7 in the morning. and trust me, it still fucking hurts.

Manchester United advanced in the FA Cup today, winning 3-0. i was hoping for more goals, but Cambridge United put up a good fight. the boys now travel to Preston in the next round 13 days from now. i really hope this is the year they bring the FA Cup back to where it belongs. here are some highlights from today:

there really isn't much on tv tonight i'm planning on watching. maybe some college basketball, maybe some hockey. i'll probably just enjoy some victory beers and ice my fucking leg.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow afternoon. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

who the fuck throws the ball from the one?

as i watched the Seahawks give away the Super Bowl last night, i immediately knew what the next week or so of sports talk radio was going to be about. part of me is happy the Patriots won. one, cheaters teach these fools another lesson in life. two, my mother is a Jets fan, so she was beyond pissed. three, Seattle has knocked my Saints out of the playoffs enough that a good part of me enjoyed their loss.

i thought Katy Perry was good at halftime. i thought Missy Elliott was better. and i guess Lenny Kravitz was there because he can play guitar.

the commercials this year mostly sucked. the dad commercials reminded me of how shitty my dad is/was. a few of them did make me laugh. but, if i had to give them a grade on the whole, it would be a C- or so.

but, thankfully Jimmy Fallon was there to save the day. this was probably the best thing i watched on television all of yesterday:

earlier in the day, the Dayton Flyers did something they haven't done this century. they scored over 100 points for the first time since 1999. the 101-77 beatdown of Fordham was a pleasant sight to see. i was sort of happy we didn't go to the game as both mom and i were cranky as hell with our bodies aching. but, the victory beer helped me some. keep in mind that Dayton only got 3 points from their bench yesterday. here are some highlights from the game:

the Showtime shows were pretty damn good last night. Shameless was great but reminded me of just how few great relationships i've had in my life. House of Lies was pretty funny. Episodes was better than the previous week once again.

we didn't get any of the shit weather they were warning us about over the weekend. figures, i cancelled all my plans and sure enough. today has been nothing but cold sunshine.

tonight is the usual Monday night clusterfuck. the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Florida. one hour later, i'll be bouncing back and forth between Gotham, Men in Blazers, and Monday Night Raw. i'm counting down the days until that DVR arrives and i'm in the new house.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United hopefully advances in the FA Cup. if they don't win, be prepared for some asshole to just unload some frustration.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

Super Bowl Sunday

in yet another sign of me becoming an old fuck, i fell asleep last night before the opening of Saturday Night Live was even over. when i woke up at 5 in the morning, i was aching beyond belief. fucking weather. i did manage to get back to sleep. so most of this morning has been catching up on what i missed last night.

this one skit from Saturday Night Live did make me laugh my ass off this morning:

i just watched the episode of ROH i missed last night. the triple threat match was really good.

this will be a quick one as the Dayton Flyers play here in a few minutes. we could have gone to the game but mom is a little under the weather and my arthritis is killing me. so, hopefully i get to watch them win today from my chair.

the rain/snow line went WAY farther north than any of these fucks on tv thought it would. so, we got a little ice and nothing else. all the major snow is about 100 miles from me. good times.

the New York Rangers found some offense last night and won 4-1. i could have gone without the injury scare to The King. that was a little fucking frightening. thankfully, he was able to stay in the game. here are some highlights from the win:

today is the Super Bowl. i've picked Seattle to win a close one. as a New Orleans Saints fan, i really don't give a shit about the game. hopefully the commercials are good.

Showtime for some fucking reason is airing their shows tonight. so, after the game i will be watching Shameless, House of Lies, and Episodes. i figure i'll be watching some of the shit NBC has after the game as well.

i will be on here sometime tomorrow. i hope everyone enjoys their Sunday. if you are having a party, i hope you have a good one. and if you are betting today, i hope you have a few winners.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
