progress... kind of

so, i thought i had charged the battery for the power drill. i mean, it was plugged in for almost 4 days. so when it died while i was trying to drill a hole to hang something in the living room last night, i was a bit pissed. so like any rational red blooded fool, i took out the drill bit and got a hammer and decided to use elbow grease instead. it took way longer than it should have, but everything that was supposed to be put up last night was.

and then in a sudden moment of fuck it, why not, or i was just really tired of the thing popping up on the computer, i upgraded to Windows 10 last night. i believe everything transferred. now, if you are a person who relies on Microsoft for everything, you should enjoy Windows 10. as for myself, this was more of an exercise to prove that i can get a handle on "modern" technology. this coming from a guy who has never sent a text message.

the upgrade happened overnight, so i didn't get nearly as much sleep as i wanted to. thankfully, i got in a good cat nap this morning and i should be good to go.

a little poetry news to pass on. i heard back from Conduit on the poems i sent back in January. they decided to pass on them and didn't send them back as i requested. that made it so much fun yesterday trying to find the 5 poems among the 5 years worth of material i have on one thumb drive. good times.

enjoy some music kids:

and since it is Sunday, time for some culture:

the New York Yankees got some great pitching from Tanaka yesterday and broke out the long ball to beat Toronto 4-1. that puts the Yankees up 1 1/2 games in the division now. they go for the sweep this afternoon.

the season ending episode of Power last night was excellent. a few nice swerves and a oh shit ending that should definitely make for an interesting season three.

ROH was excellent last night. you really can't go wrong with a show that includes Dalton Castle and the Young Bucks.

i believe mom and i are going to try to either get more stuff up on the walls today or put together some shelves in the garage.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, Ballers, The Brink, The Strain and Last Week Tonight.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. as long as i don't suddenly find that some file is lost in the cloud somewhere, my Saturday was pretty damn good. hopefully all of our Sundays will be as well. currently i'm watching Manchester Shitty take on Chelsea. it's hard watching a game where you hope both teams lose.

enjoy the drinks and the sun. the order you do so is up to you.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

amazing what a little bit of "clutch" can do...

i was watching the New York Yankees just come up empty inning after inning last night, wondering how the fuck were they able to hit David Price every other place he played but now he's Cy fucking Young in Toronto. finally in the 8th, signs of life. a couple of hits in a row. what a concept. they got Price out of the game and then Carlos Beltran showed everyone on earth what clutch looks like. a HUGE 3 run pinch hit homer that gave the Yankees the lead, 4-3. they would go on to win the game at that score, even though Andrew Miller tried his hardest to give the game away. that puts the Yankees back in first place by 1/2 game. they will hopefully increase that lead this afternoon.

i saw that Talib Kweli released a surprise new album last night, Fuck The Money, for FREE. i jumped all over that. it took me awhile to download it, i'm guessing that was most likely user error on my part. but, after i did get it downloaded, what a fucking album. it's truly fucking great. i highly recommend it. for more about it, go here:
http://www.stereogum.com/1824207/talib-kweli-surprise-releases-new-album-fuck-the-money/mp3s/?utm_source=share-gp&utm_medium=button

NJPW was really good last night. Treehouse Masters was good as well. i took a nice long shower last night, hoping that would make me feel better. it worked for a few hours until the damn thunder started around 4 in the morning.

enjoy some music kids:

now laugh:

one of these mornings, i may actually try this:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and the season finale of Power.

i'm not sure if i'm going with mom to the grocery store or not today. she seems to be doing much better than she was doing the last couple of days.

a big thank you to Janne Karlsson for the artwork this morning. hopefully one day i will be able to share it with everyone when it gets published.

i'm really enjoying having the Bundesliga on Fox Sports now. i haven't been able to watch that league for years. of course, in a week or so, i'll truly be able to drive my mother nuts when i flip from the Premier League to the Bundesliga to Serie A to Ligue 1 to La Liga. and here she worried i would never be "cultured".

that's all for me today kids. i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. tip your waitress, only fuck the ones that cough, buy a better cut of steak, drink the finest wine, only pay for the nightcap when you know the police aren't involved and take a moment or two to appreciate your favorite artists and poets, etc., with a large cash donation.

it's not how you start...

when i had my third shit of the morning before 9 AM, i was wondering if my whole day was going to be spent on the toilet. mind you, the third one decided to surprise me while i was out in the yard feeding the birds. it was one thing when that happened at the farm and no one could see me. it's another when you have nosy fucking neighbors. thankfully, i made it inside and didn't put on too much of a show for the bastards. a big thank you to Imodium for finally working later in the morning. the last thing i wanted to do was spent today on the fucking toilet.

look out kids, i actually remembered Flashback Friday today. first up, my poem "locked in a war" from way back in 2004. you can find that poem by going here:
http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/issue5lockedinawar.html

the other poem for today is "the first crack of thunder". you can find that poem by going here: http://www.jellyfishwhispers.com/2012/08/a-poem-by-jj-campbell.html

if you happen to enjoy those poems, feel free to share them and tell the world.

i thought Manchester United played much better today. i am really impressed with the defense so far this season. imagine how good they all will be when they actually have played together for a few months. 6 points out of 2 games. i'll take that every fucking time. Manchester United 1 Aston Villa 0. the goal came from Adnan Januzaj off a beautiful pass from Juan Mata. a nice way to start my weekend.

enjoy some music kids:

thankfully Big Brother came on last night after the late local news. that was much better than waiting until 3 in the morning to see it. i believe the house will regret not getting Vanessa out when they had the chance. Shelli and Jackie got evicted last night. Liz is the new HOH.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married were both excellent last night. Lip Sync Battle was pretty fucking funny, mostly because Iggy and Swaggy P are 2 dumb asses that are made for each other.

anyone else need a laugh?

the New York Yankees finally got a win last night. of course, they couldn't make it easy on themselves but i'll take it. the offense finally got going, scoring 8 runs. the pitching was so so most of the night, giving up 6. but, that sets up a HUGE weekend series up in Toronto. the Yankees are 1/2 game out of first. hopefully they can pay the Blue Jays back for last weekend.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

i did watch bits and pieces of the NFL last night. i hope the New Orleans Saints are going to play better defense than that when the regular season starts. i figure by next weekend i'll have some clue how many fantasy football leagues i'm going to be playing in this season. most likely either 2 or 3.

that's all for me today kids. my stomach is starting to rumble and my guess is that victory beer isn't doing well with the crackers i had. good times.

hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to hot and a chance of rain here all weekend. hopefully you have better weather wherever the hell you are. drink too much, eat too much, live too much. as soon you truly figure out what that means, life is as simple as anything else. of course, this is coming from some fat fuck that enjoys the struggle. grain of salt my friends.

the dog days are... just beginning

i hate to inform Florence and her machine, but the fucking dog days aren't over. they are sadly just beginning. today was one of those where the highlight of my day was when i shit out something that looked like a frown. i told my mother to take a picture (sadly, she didn't). i thought it would make the perfect cover for my autobiography, ... And You Think You Had A Shitty Life. oh well, i'm sure there will be more.

the New York Yankees somehow have managed to blow a 7 game lead in the division in a mere 15 days. they lost again last night 2-1. Toronto has already won today, so the Yankees have to win tonight to stay 1/2 game behind in the division. they have called up one of their untouchable prospects and are starting him tonight. hopefully, Greg Bird gives these old fucks a shot of energy they desperately need.

Big Brother was good last night. sadly, Becky has no clue that her plan is 99.9% not going to happen. of course, the house guests will regret this if Vanessa is somehow still in the house after the double eviction. i'll have to follow tonight's episode online as there is a preseason NFL game on tonight. and i really have no interest of watching Big Brother at 3 in the morning. so the DVR will be taking care of that for me.

NXT was pretty good last night. Bayley and Becky Lynch put on a very good match. plus, you can never go wrong with some Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. i'm really looking forward to Takeover: Brooklyn.

i didn't watch much of ROH last night. i was more or less just taking out my Yankee frustrations on the internet. mostly games of chess and spider solitaire while drinking Jager mix drinks. i guess that's why i slept last night.

enjoy some music kids:

now laugh motherfucker:

i got a couple of amazing EP's today. one for FREE from NoiseTrade and one i actually paid for, mostly because i believe that FKA twigs is my creative soul mate. if you don't agree, check this out:

i have really no interest in watching preseason NFL games, so on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married. and i really would like to be drinking a victory beer while i'm watching those shows.

a big thank you to the postal service today for putting the packages right in front of the door so if i opened it from the inside i would have knocked some fragile shit down on the ground. i know you don't have to be a fucking genius to work there (my father being the perfect example), but if you moved them 5 inches to the left, they would be out of the way and in the fucking shade. oh what a fucking concept.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays at Aston Villa. hopefully, i will be drinking while i'm writing this tomorrow.

that's all for me today. hopefully you are dealing with the dog days in a more productive way than i am. but if you're not, who gives a shit. if this is a race, we have already lost. might as well enjoy the struggle to the finish.

so on that uplifting note, go get drunk kids.

is it weird to still be in your pajamas at 5 PM?

i think i actually got close to 6 hours of sleep last night. and i must have been in the same position most of the night as my bones were aching like crazy when i got out of the bed. such a joy to take one step and hear every bone in your body crack.

enjoy a song you won't get out of your head anytime soon:

the New York Yankees finally scored some runs last night. they even had the fucking lead in the 10th inning. but, as the season continues this unfortunate turn for the worse, Andrew Miller picked a horrible time to blow his first save of the season. eventually, the Yankees lost 5-4 in 16 innings. the lead in the division is now down to 1/2 game. i really hope they start to win before they go into Toronto this weekend. a long losing streak at this point of the season can really knock you out of a chance to make the playoffs.

WWE Tough Enough was good last night. finally, they actually put them in the ring. i wasn't surprised that GiGi got eliminated. i think she has a chance to make it down the line sometime. i think Amanda and Josh are going to win. i feel bad for both of them, as the winner of the show rarely has any success in the business.

Total Divas was really interesting. the show is now covering moments that i actually saw on the WWE Network. so, i can piece together the pieces and have some clue of what was "really" going on. this scene did make me laugh though:

Tyrant was excellent last night. another layer of the onion got peeled back. Deadliest Catch was great. i would be scared to death if the boat was catching on fire. that's a shit in the pants for sure moment. the season finale is next week. Hard Knocks was interesting. it's obvious that it's going to mostly be about J.J. Watt. it's good to know the dude is somewhat human. he's a fucking freak athlete that's for sure.

some more music kids:

and now laugh:

i got that song you won't get out of your head today at NoiseTrade for FREE. i'll put the link below in the music section.

i also got most of my order from Amazon.com today. so you'll see those CD's in the music section as well.

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother and ROH. at some point i guess i will turn on the baseball game, but probably not before i watch NXT on the WWE Network. it should be a really good one tonight.

hopefully, my sister's birthday gift will be here tomorrow. it was scheduled to arrive today. of course, i haven't checked if the mailman stuck it in the bushes this time. i've found packages leaning on the garage door or "near" the front door before. that's why i wish we had a really nice, big front porch. i could be the asshole waiting for the mail each day out there. good times.

that's all for me today. today was a day that apathy won. both mom and i are in what we slept in, or as i call it for her, business casual, since she works from home. i suppose one of us should make dinner tonight. that should be interesting.

the squirrels are at it again

so i watched the squirrels destroy the sunflowers today and break a feeder that had suet in it that they don't even like. i guess tomorrow i load the shotgun.

today was one of those days where i felt like i was constantly having some kind of pain. so, as you might imagine, i've been a moody fuck for most of the day.

Monday Night Raw could have been much MUCH better than it was last night. if the geniuses would have had either Cesaro or Kevin Owens facing Seth Rollins in the main event, maybe something like this wouldn't have happened:
i guess Vince will never tire of seeing the same fucking matches over and over again. thank god there was other shit on so i didn't have to watch all of it.

the Chris Farley documentary was funny at times and so fucking sad at times. having lived through that time when he was a gigantic star, it really didn't cover much of what i didn't already know. i feel like i got a good amount of my sense of humor from Chris. mostly the physical and being able to be the butt of the joke. of course, i also have the low self esteem problem that Chris had as well. i have no intention of drinking myself to death anytime soon. though, as i get older, i'm slowly realizing i should have ended all this madness years ago.

Men in Blazers was pretty fucking funny last night. it's good to have the Premier League back.

time for some music kids:

now laugh:

the New York Yankees play in Cleveland tonight. hopefully they start to win again.

the DVR will be busy tonight. WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Tyrant, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks are all on tonight. looks like it will be another long night.

mom has group tonight, so i'll be home alone for a few hours. just enough time to pick up the trash and put away the dishes. and maybe sneak a look or two at some porn.

i got my gnome with a machine gun today from Amazon.com. i haven't decided where i'm going to put it. maybe i'll put a shelf near the front door so it can be seen every time it opens. good times.

that's all for me kids. it's still hard for me to believe that Robin Williams has been gone for a year now. i could just imagine what he would say about this:

hope everyone still has a pulse. i have a computer to reboot and trash to pick up. hopefully all done before the Yankees give up any runs.

artsy fartsy day

so, i've been tossing around new YouTube video ideas in my head for a few weeks now. i wanted to do a cold one, one where there was really nothing but the words. the whole thought behind that was whoever was viewing it would put their voice to it and then the poem would mean whatever it would mean to them. i'd like to think i did a pretty good job at it. so, here's my new YouTube video "junkies of death":

and while we're on the topic of poems, i wrote 3 yesterday. i typed them up not too long after i wrote them. i like all 3 of them. i want to write out a few more before i send out my next round of submissions.

the New York Yankees picked a shitty time for the offense to go missing. they lost 2-0 yesterday. 2 damn solo home runs beat them. first time they have been shutout in back to back games since 1999. the lead in the division is now down to 1 1/2 games. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they start a series in Cleveland tomorrow.

enjoy a little culture kids:

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Becky is a much better player than i thought she was going to be. the season finale of True Detective was great and heartbreaking. i won't give anything away, but if you watched the entire season you will be gutted by the end of the episode. Ballers was pretty funny as was The Brink. The Strain was fucking excellent once again. Ray Donovan was a little freaky and good. Masters of Sex was much better than last week. Last Week Tonight really hit home with a message that is near and dear to me. it completely frustrates the living shit out of me how ignorant fuckers in this country truly are. so, hopefully some of those dumb fucks will watch this and actually learn something:

tonight i'll be watching Monday Night Raw. on the DVR will be Men in Blazers and that Chris Farley documentary. i'm really interested in seeing that one.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. other than the rain fucking with my back and the birds destroying some feeder socks that i wanted to reuse, it wasn't so bad.

i figure my next YouTube video will be in a few weeks. i've got something planned that i'm hoping i can film it and have it actually look decent.

time catches up to all of us

so i had one of my rare venture out into public and stay out after the street lights come on nights last night. the alumni soccer games were pretty good. it was nice seeing some faces i haven't seen since i graduated from high school. i joked at one point what this really is is the white high school reunion. seeing that i've never been invited to any of our high school reunions (other than day of), it seemed rather appropriate. the two guys that told me about the event and wanted to know if i was going of course didn't show up. they have kids and wives, so i imagine "life" came up. the night did spark some words in my head. i've got one damn line that i'm going to have to write out of my head as it kept me up most of the night. i might have a stanza so far, so i just need to sit down and pound it out. get your mind out of the gutter. i was here first.

sitting on those metal bleachers did my back no favors. i came home instead of going out with a group of people. i don't think many of the people going were drinkers, which i have to have to be in public anymore. there's the beauty of being fucked in the head my friends. good times.

enjoy some music people:

Power was excellent last night. another ending that blew my mind. next week is the season finale. that should be an interesting one.

ROH was great last night. all of the matches were excellent.

the New York Yankees lost again yesterday 6-0. the manager kept the starter in one batter too long. hoping for a double play, it turns into a grand slam. whoops. now the lead is down to 2 1/2. and when you hear people with the team start talking about the lead in the loss column, that's a sign of panic. Tanaka pitches today to try to avoid the sweep. i won't say today is a MUST win, but it's pretty damn close.

now enjoy some culture kids:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, the season finale of True Detective, Ballers, The Brink, Last Week Tonight, The Strain, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. should be a very interesting night of television.

i figure i probably will watch all of that tonight or early in the morning. if my writing session starts a fire on the page, i may end up typing all night anyway. that is something i really wouldn't mind at the moment.

that's all for me today. was pleased to wake up from my morning nap to watch Arsenal lose. that certainly has started the day off on a good foot.

hope everyone has a great Sunday. may the drinks be cool and the bodies hot. unless you're into something the opposite, which is fine with me, i don't try to judge. it's not my job.

it doesn't have to be pretty to be effective...

let me start this out with a little confession. i completely forgot to do my little flashback Friday portion yesterday. and since that is now 2 weeks in a row i have forgot, i'm going to make it the whenever the fuck i remember flashback. so, here are two poems that i really enjoy. "trash" is a poem i wrote while walking the streets of Chicago when i was 22 years old. i was with my sister and her friend. i believe i ended up writing the poem in the margin of a place mat at the House of Blues. and it is one of my most published poems. you can find it by going here:
http://figmentofyourowncontamination.blogspot.com/2010/09/trash-jj-campbell.html

my poem "it could have been something more" basically describes my morning. plus, i know an artist in Sweden that just loves these types of poems. you can find that one by going here:
http://thecamelsaloon.blogspot.com/2013/01/it-could-have-been-something-more.html

i believe whatever my mom had yesterday i had this morning. good times.

the New York Yankees lost 2-1 last night in 10 innings. why Girardi had a rookie pitching to the heart of the Blue Jays order i'll never fucking understand. they play again this afternoon. the division lead is now down to 3 1/2 games.

NJPW was excellent last night. of course anytime you get to watch AJ Styles, Nakamura and Okada wrestle, it is a treat.

Treehouse Masters was good last night. it was interesting to see how far that industry has come in 15 years.

i'd like to thank Directv for helping us figure out what was wrong with our one remote. now that i know what buttons to push, i won't have to make that call again.

enjoy some music kids:

i didn't stay up that late last night, as i wanted to get some sleep. of course, that didn't happen. so here's some funny shit:

now i'm fucking hungry.

i was up and eating breakfast as the Manchester United game was starting this morning. you could tell that United had a bunch of new faces in new places as everyone was cautious as hell to start the match. but thank you to a Kyle Walker own goal (first time in Premier League history the first goal of a season was an own goal) United was up 1-0 at half. and thank you to Sergio Romero for keeping it that way in the second half. all in all, i'll gladly take the 3 points. the squad will get better over time. but i still say they need another striker and another central defender. that being said, i'll go enjoy my victory beer.

i'm supposed to go to an alumni soccer game tonight. hopefully i feel better by then as it would be nice to see some people i know. this is one of the misfortunes of not being on Facebook. of course, i remember that i was only popular in high school because i always had drugs and alcohol around. when that graces my head every now and then, i know it's not a misfortune at all.

on the DVR tonight will be Power and ROH.

i did a little work outside this morning with my mother. we needed to help this young tree that is getting destroyed by all the fucking rain we've had this summer. i'm hoping the stake and some velcro rope made for trees will do the trick. plus, some of the bird feeders needed some fresh food and the weeds needed pulled. all in all, other than listening to the neighbor talk about church, it wasn't that bad outside.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is doing well. go have a great weekend. call if you need bail money or help burying a body.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

out and about

mom got sick last night, sick enough that when i saw her this morning i thought she'd spend the whole day in bed. by the afternoon she was feeling better and when she started going over the grocery list, she realized we needed to go to the store. so that put off the trip to the VA for another day. between Menards and Kroger's, i believe i am officially fucking tired. over 3 1/2 hours in two stores. good thing i showered. but, we did get just about everything we needed. plus, i got a few more solar lights for the yard. before long, the neighbors will be blind looking at this place.

the New York Yankees won last night 2-1. CC pitched his best game of the season and the bullpen did what they usually do. they start a series tonight with 2nd place Toronto. worst case scenario, the Yankees will still be in first place after this series even if they get swept. hopefully, the Yankees can take 2 of 3. they are currently trailing 1-0 as i'm writing this.

i was a little disappointed with Big Brother last night. Clay went home and got all the votes to be evicted. thankfully, Becky won HOH so the game should be a bit crazy this week, especially once they realize there will be a double eviction coming on Thursday.

the shows last night were pretty good. Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was pretty damn funny. Married made me laugh as well. Lip Sync Battle was really good with the women from Broad City. but the winner of the night had to be The Daily Show. i just wish i would have recorded it. i did watch all of it though, from nearly all the previous people on the show coming back to the end with Bruce Springsteen. all in all, a great ending to Jon Stewart's run as host. enjoy some highlights:

enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be 2 episodes of NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

the Premier League starts back up tomorrow. of course, Manchester United plays in the first game, 7:45 in the morning my time. so, i'll be on here sometime tomorrow after that game.

Yankees and Blue Jays are now tied at 1.

it's a dull ache at first...

it started raining around 4 in the morning. that was a little more than 12 hours ago. it hasn't stopped since it started. i didn't sleep well, i haven't felt well all day, the sunshine is nowhere to be seen. not exactly the kind of day i need when i really need to be productive. i'd rather curl up into a ball and stay in bed and hope for death. the only thing i think will help the pain is alcohol and i know if i start down that path, there is no coming back for me. and being blessed with the gene, i have no doubt i would be one of those functioning alcoholics that will die a spectacular death. well, come to think of it, why not go down that path? it's not like finding the pleasure in the pain has taken me somewhere i have never been before. broke and lonely. welcome to my 20's again. now you know why i talk to myself all day long. these are the kind of conversations i have. sometimes they become poems, sometimes they become cries for help. neither amount to much in the long run, although i want to believe they are helping keeping the demons away, albeit that's just temporary. my demise is right around the next corner. and god knows, i'm no good at walking a straight line.

the New York Yankees lost last night, 2-1. the kid pitched well enough to win, but thanks to yet another error from Chase Headley and an offense forgetting how to hit a knuckleball, Severino set an American League record in the loss. 7 strikeouts, no walks, 2 hits, 1 earned run. i'd take that in every outing and hope that the fucking offense can score more than one damn run. they play again tonight. CC is pitching. i have no clue how they win this series now. and don't look now, but the next series is with the team closing the gap quickly, Toronto.

NXT was excellent last night. the match between Bayley and Charlotte was so good:
i was also happy to see that the rematch between Kevin Owens and Finn Balor is now going to be a ladder match. that should be fucking awesome.

speaking of fucking awesome, part 2 of Ultima Lucha last night was off the charts fucking great. every match brought something special. the best match, to me at least, was Vampiro vs. Pentagon Jr. the amount of blood and pure fucking chaos truly brought me back to the ECW days of the 90's. it was amazing. it would be a crime if Lucha Underground doesn't get a second season. here are some highlights from last night:

i watched bits and pieces of the ROH episode again last night. i used that to help me get over the Yankees loss. Big Brother was interesting last night. i was happy that James won the POV. now, i have no damn clue who is going home tonight. if they were smart, Shelli would get evicted. for some reason, i don't see that happening. i really hope i'm wrong, especially since her boy toy would still be in the house and Meg has plans for him. to know that Shelli would be at home watching that is just too good to pass up. so, i figure the boy toy gets evicted tonight and i don't get to have any fun.

before i get any further, we need some music:

and now laugh:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, Married, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Lip Sync Battle. i figure i will also try to squeeze in the last Daily Show that Jon Stewart will host. hopefully i'm enjoying a victory beer during that.

i'm not looking forward to tomorrow. i believe we are going to the VA to see where my father is buried and see how the fuck we can get a death certificate. my gut tells me that fucker never legally got married again and that he never did another will after he and mom got divorced. and considering it's been 3 1/2 months since he died, his estate should already be closed up. and i really have no clue if the court will use the will he did in 1980 as the legal will or not. i figure i'll have to contact a fucking lawyer to figure all this out. to think how easy this could have been if he would have just killed me when he tried to choke me to death...

enjoy the visual kids.

that's all for me. the drizzle is "supposed" to stop sometime soon. i doubt that will make me feel any better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

beating insomnia with a wet rubber hose

when i eventually fell asleep last night, i knew i was in for a rough one. mostly i blame the show Tyrant as the ending truly fucked me up. at least i got almost 4 hours and a decent cat nap this afternoon. i know damn well i'm going to be up late again tonight. there's no point in fighting it really, i'll just sleep when i'm dead.

the shows last night were pretty good. WWE Tough Enough had a woman go home for the first time in a few weeks. out of the 6 people that are left, i don't think any of them will become "stars". as for the eliminated people, i guarantee the WWE will sign 2 or 3 of them down the road. Total Divas was pretty funny. Deadliest Catch was pretty interesting last night. to see the reactions of the crews when the Seahawks lost the Super Bowl was some pretty great television. Tyrant had a truly Holy Fuck moment near the ending last night. and seeing that it involved father and son, it sent my mind off in about a trillion directions. the show is now really getting interesting.

enjoy some music kids:

and now laugh motherfucker:

the New York Yankees whipped the last place Red Sox last night, 13-3. the offense is really starting to click. tonight, the Yankees are starting their top pitching prospect, Luis Severino. he's being compared to a young Pedro Martinez. if he turns out to be that, the start of a Hall of Fame career will be tonight. no pressure kid.

also tonight will be part 2 of Ultima Lucha. Lucha Underground is easily the best wrestling on television these days. and from what i have seen, i will be watching this one tonight for years. hopefully the DVR gets all of it recorded. also on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and ROH. i will catch NXT on the WWE Network sometime before i finally fall asleep tonight.

i think there is some rain on the way. my back and ankles have that "special" feeling going on. good times.

i have spent most of today in my room searching for music on NoiseTrade. i found a few things i really like. i'll put the links to the FREE music down below in the music section.

that's all for me today. i've got words swimming in my head, so i imagine sometime during the insomnia there will be a pen in my hand instead of my penis for a change.

hope everyone currently has a pulse.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

another piece of the past is gone

so mom and i drove past the old farm today. the bank barn was completely gone and just the frame of the hog barn was up. mom later drove back there by herself as she wants a couple rocks from the foundation of the bank barn to put out here at the new house. mom said she believes they tore them down just to have more farm land. i told her it's a damn good thing she didn't put a ton of money into fixing them over the years.

that trip coincided with going over to the guy who used to farm for us and signing paperwork for 2014 about the farm. hopefully we get a little money back from that. but, it involves the government, so i'm not expecting shit.

got another call from the state of Ohio asking if i am the one in charge of handling my father's estate. my sister got a call as well. i believe she told them that his "wife" died on July 4th. apparently, they didn't know that. i still have no clue if they were legally married or if my father had a new will. amazingly, mom has a copy of one from 1980 that he did. i'm starting to get the feeling that that one is going to be the one used. of course, i still believe i end up with a bill out of all of this. that's part of the reason why i have nothing in my name at the moment.

time for some music kids:

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. the tribute to Roddy Piper was perfect:
the matches were pretty good for the entire show. the divas matches were pretty good. i especially liked the match between Neville and Seth Rollins. plus, anytime you have Paul Heyman on a microphone, it's like listening to god speak:

now, let's enjoy some funny shit:

tonight will be a busy one. the New York Yankees start a series at home with the last place Red Sox. on the DVR will be Deadliest Catch, WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas and Tyrant. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer while watching the shows.

heard from a couple friends today. that was pretty cool.

sorry to cut this short, but i have trash to pick up and i get the feeling that i'm making dinner tonight. frozen pizza, here i come.

hope this finds everyone with a cool drink or a bong in their hands.

i think i got a sunburn today while i was fucking withe the bird feeders. hopefully that isn't too bad. not sure what visual you got from those last two sentences, but run with it and see where it gets ya.

insomnia, arthritis, nightmares and dreams of old girlfriends

the thunder hit around 4 in the morning. i was just getting to bed. you can imagine my joy of being up at 7:30. thankfully, i did get a couple cat naps today. but, with more rain coming in, i'll be trying to sleep in my massage chair before too long.

the New York Yankees concluded their last long road trip of the season with a 12-3 win over the White Sox yesterday. they are off tonight and start a series with the last place Red Sox tomorrow.

the Sunday night shows were pretty damn good. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Shelli crying was beautiful. True Detective was great last night. there were a few HOLY SHIT moments which should make the season finale next Sunday a joy to watch. Ballers was pretty good, as was The Brink. The Strain was excellent. my DVR cut off the ending, so i stayed up to make sure i saw it. Ray Donovan was really good. Masters of Sex was just ok. it kind of felt like a transitional episode for most of it. Last Week Tonight was damn close to perfect once again last night:

you ever get an old crush stuck in your mind? memories so vivid it's like time ceases to exist? welcome to my world. loneliness is creeping along side of me. even the stoic could use a friend every now and then. or maybe i just watch too much porn.

enjoy some music kids:

and in case you'd really like to laugh your ass off, enjoy:

the only thing i plan on watching tonight is Monday Night Raw. i'm sure it will be a nostalgia fuck for me given the death of Rowdy Roddy Piper. i'm interested to see how you do a tribute to him and still erase Hulk Hogan from the memory of the WWE. should be interesting. plus, i am really looking forward to the Stone Cold Podcast tonight with Paige. that will be on the WWE Network.

the hallway FINALLY got painted here at the new house. so, we can start putting up the art and whatnot that we have sitting around for the hallway. i also heard today that the fuckers that bought the farm sold the barns and had them tore down. those barns were made of wood that were easily over 200 years old. i guess they wanted to make back some of the money they paid for the place. what a fucking shame. my guess is they will put up steel buildings. sadly, the farm will never look the same again. i haven't drove past it yet but i'm sure i will be devastated when i see it.

so on that uplifting note, hope everyone had a great weekend.

at least i saved $60

i was tempted to get the UFC ppv last night, but i decided not to as i figured the main event wasn't going to last long enough for that kind of money. and when i turned on ESPN at 1:30 in the morning and they are describing Ronda beating Bethe in 34 seconds, i figured i just saved myself $60. i'm really happy she knocked her out. i figured she might actually break every bone in her body if she wanted to. and i really doubt there is a woman on the planet that can beat her right now. here's her post match interview:

the New York Yankees lost 8-2 last night. the rubber match of the series is this afternoon. i really hope to be enjoying a victory beer early this evening.

my sister, mother and i got the furniture from IKEA put together without any fights or arguments. i said that's an obvious sign that we've matured and are old. my sister is getting ready to go to South Africa in a few weeks i believe. i reminded her not to kill any lions while she's there.

Power was excellent last night. i thought for a hot second they killed off the main character last night, bu they didn't. it was another classic ending. i really like how the series is progressing by adding another wrinkle to the story each week.

ROH was great last night. anytime i get to watch the Young Bucks wrestle, i take advantage of it. throw in AJ Styles and Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly reuniting and you have a great hour of wrestling.

enjoy some Sunday tunes:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, True Detective, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Ballers, The Brink, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. considering i actually got a decent night of sleep, i'll probably watch all of the shows tonight.

i did watch the Community Shield this morning. hard to watch a game where you want both teams to lose, but i did get a good laugh when Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0. Wenger finally gets a win over Mourinho. and you could tell after the match, both coaches hate each other. i especially liked when Mourinho chucked the runners up medal into the stands. pure class, all the time. these are the moments when i'm so happy he's never coached Manchester United.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

absolutely gutted

i had just published the blog yesterday when i started checking the news on the right hand side of this blog. when i saw the headline that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper had died, i was shocked, ripped to shreds, absolutely gutted. if Dusty Rhodes' death was like getting hit by a ton of bricks, Piper's is like god driving an 18 wheeler over me and those bricks. i spent most of last night and a good portion of today just watching old videos, old promos, just trying to make some sense of it all. 61 years old and gone. thankfully, legends never truly die. and the Hot Rod was a true, complete legend.
i grew up on that Flair vs. Piper feud. a few years later, it was the classic feud with Hulk Hogan. the man was simply the best heel there ever was. and easily, one of the greatest talkers ever in pro wrestling.
and one of my favorite movie lines of all-time:
you will be missed. it was a pleasure to see you live almost 30 years ago. thank you for making my life a little more tolerable over the years.

as you might imagine, i've been in a moody, depressed... the fucking summer blues. so why not some music:

the New York Yankees broke out the bats last night and won 13-6. Tex had another great game. hopefully they can get another winning streak going. they play again tonight.

NJPW was really good last night. Treehouse Masters was excellent. it showed some treehouses in Brazil. they were pretty fucking amazing.

thankfully, there was some funny shit on last night. god knows, i needed the laughs:

on the DVR tonight will be Power and ROH.

my sister has made it to the house. she brought some shit she got mom at IKEA. so, it looks like the rest of today will be putting furniture together. good times.

the Fracture Me photos i ordered did arrive today. thank god they packed them good as i watched the fucking mailman drop them out of the truck. if they were broken, i might have punched a fucker in the face today. they look really good. i think we're going to put them around this painting of the farm we have, that is whenever we get around to that. most of my design work is done. mom is one of the greatest procrastinators i have ever seen.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has a great Saturday. everything in moderation, including moderation.

and just when i thought it couldn't get any worse...

so i waited around all day for the New York Yankees to do something at the trade deadline and they did nothing. it's a bit of a gamble when just about every other team in the American League got "better". hopefully these prospects they have decided to hold on to become the next "Core Four" like they are thinking they will.

the Yankees lost last night in Texas 7-6 on a walk off single. it was a game where the Yankees had plenty of chances to kill them off but never did. oh well. they start a series tonight in Chicago with the White Sox, who are on fucking fire at the moment. it should be an interesting series.

my sister forwarded me an email from one of our aunts last night with some eye opening news. i never knew that colon cancer runs on my father's side of the family. perhaps that is why i didn't sleep well last night. i did finally get all the addresses to my father's sisters. so, i will start the Christmas cards this year. i figure that is a decent start for someone who genuinely hates most humans.

enjoy some music kids:

Big Brother was pretty good last night. it should be an interesting week with James as the new HOH. he wants to carry out the plan Jason had before he got evicted. if it happens, the house will be crazy in a few days.

Married was pretty funny last night. it also reminded me why i hate dating. SDRR was pretty good as well. Lip Sync Battle was probably the first one that did nothing for me, but that was probably because i had no fucking clue who the two stars were. first time i really felt old in a while.

tonight on the DVR will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

enjoy some funny shit:

the days where you don't bother to get out of bed

when i got done with this blog yesterday, i went out to the kitchen and asked my mother when the fuck did it rain? she looked at me like i was crazy, as there was water everywhere outside. i guess i have my room exactly how i want it. when i'm in there and the door is closed, the outside world does not exist. good times.

the New York Yankees lost last night 5-2. and then the news hits today of some injuries and a what the fuck trade. i'm not a happy camper. they end the series tonight with CC on the mound. oh god.

Manchester United lost last night 2-0 to PSG. as i heard one fan put it after the game, maybe this shows them they still need another central back and another striker. your lips to god's ears. i didn't bother to watch the game after i saw the score.

i might have watched a few minutes of the MLS All-Star game. in my opinion, Tottenham isn't a big enough club for me to care. of course, in a few days i will care as they will be the first opponent for Manchester United this season in the Premier League.

the wrestling last night was really good. i watched most of ROH again, mostly just to see two of the most underrated guys going today, ACH and Bobby Fish. NXT was pretty good. it was nice to see Kevin Owens win again. plus, the tag team title match was much better than i thought it was going to be. but, the winner of the night was Lucha Underground. if the first night of Ultima Lucha is going to be like this:
i can't wait to see what happens next week. the whole show was fucking amazing. here are some highlights:

there was some really funny shit on last night, enjoy:

that last one had me fucking laughing all morning.

enjoy a little music my friends:

i really wish CBS would have shown what really happened for Big Brother last night. i feel bad for the people that don't follow the live feeds. they get a completely different show than those of us that do. i'm about 99% sure Jason will get evicted tonight. i really hope someone from the other side of the house wins HOH this week so it gets interesting.

also tonight will be Married, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Lip Sync Battle. another busy night for the DVR.

here's some more funny shit:

a big thank you to one of my favorite divas of all-time. enjoy retirement and the married life. though, i'll still contend you would be better off with me :)

got some more music on NoiseTrade today. since iTunes doesn't do FREE music anymore, i guess NoiseTrade is going to become my new favorite site. i'll post the links below in the music section.

i think we are officially in the dog days of summer now. it's definitely not weather i enjoy. just too hot for me to be outside without becoming a darker shade of red. i need a place where it is basically fall all the time. upper 60's with some sun and a breeze. then i'd be fucking Thoreau.

that's all for me today. my bad back is aching for my massage chair.
