another day, another storm

it's a damn good thing i don't have arthritis and feel tremendous pain when it rains. oh, that's right. i live in reality. and these old bones are screaming for the relief that death will bring. good times.

welcome to the 9th day of National Poetry Month. today. i'm putting a light on the poet Justin Hyde. i know Justin a little. i've always been a fan of his writing. if you are not familiar with it, here's a few places to help you get to know it:
http://poets.nyq.org/poet/justinhyde

and after you read that, do yourself a favor and go BUY his book, An Elephant Hole
http://www.amazon.com/Elephant-Hole-Justin-Hyde/dp/0981660630/

the New York Yankees were kind enough to come back late last night and get a victory so i could have a victory beer. i figure this is how the whole season is going to be. if they are going to win, it's going to be ugly. but, a 4-3 win is a win. they go for the series win tonight.

also tonight, the New York Rangers play their last regular season game at home against Ottawa. Ottawa is desperate for points, so it would be really nice to see the Rangers put a HUGE dent in their playoff plans. the Rangers are resting a few key players, but the best team in the NHL has played the whole damn season missing someone important each night it seems. plus, a victory tonight will set all kinds of franchise records for the Rangers. and of course, the game is on at the same time as the Yankees. as usual, hockey will win out.

i had 11 out of the 12 choices on The Voice correct last night. Blake was the only one who messed up my perfect score. the shows from now on should be really damn good.

NXT was really good last night. it showed a ton of footage from behind the scenes at WrestleMania. and the matches were top notch as well. here's some highlights from the main event last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent last night as well. i wish more wrestling shows were like it. here are some highlights:

i do plan on watching The Big Bang Theory tonight. of course, the weather might throw a few wrenches into that plan. on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle and the new episodes of The Comedians and Louie on FX.

mom and i are planning on going to the grocery store here in a few minutes. it seems like most of my poetry these days is coming from there. hopefully tonight will be more of the same. plus, if it's raining, that's a good chance for my imagination to go wild with the "wet" look. good times.

that's all for me today. i hope it is dry and the skies are a little less violent wherever you are.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

at least the power hasn't gone out

i'm currently typing this between cracks of thunder. we had some fuck me storms come through this morning and knocked out the phone and internet for a few hours. that was fun. on with the show...

welcome to the 8th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm shining a bright fucking light on my friend, William Taylor Jr. easily, one of the best poets around and from everything i have heard, one of the kindest souls on earth. here are a few links to help you find and/or BUY some of his work:

and here is a video of the man reading:
do yourself a favor and pick of some of William's books today.

the New York Rangers beat the Devils last night 4-2 to win the President's Trophy, which signifies the best record in the NHL for the regular season. they have 2 more games to go and just need 2 points to have the most points in franchise history. here are some highlights from last night:

weather permitting, i will be watching NXT tonight while the DVR will have on The Voice and Lucha Underground. i am interested in seeing who gets voted off The Voice tonight. i'm not sure if there are any real breakout artists this season. but there is PLENTY of really good this season.

had a few laughs last night:

mom finally got her car back today. we brought some more shit over from the farm. the cats didn't look like they were very happy with me. those fuckers should understand they are lucky i feed them at all now.

that's all for me today. i think the Yankees are on, unless it is raining there as well. hopefully, wherever the fuck you are, you are dry. unless you are masturbating, then you'll probably like to be wet.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

sometimes i sit in the dark and count to infinity

welcome to the 7th day of National Poetry Month. today, i want to shine a little light on my good friend, Ben John Smith.

Ben is the brains behind Horror Sleaze Trash. he is also a damn fine poet. you can check out some of his poetry here and here and here, plus, the crazy fucker certainly knows how to do a YouTube video:
do yourself a favor and get your hands on anything Ben has done and enjoy the fuck out of it.

the New York Rangers beat Columbus in OT last night, 4-3. it was a pretty good game, even though i had to watch with Columbus' shitty announcers. with the win, the Rangers are now one more win away from winning the President's Trophy. that could come tonight when they play at the Devils. hopefully it does. here are some highlights from last night:

The Voice was pretty good last night. one performance completely blew me away:
hopefully there will be more good ones tonight.

my dream woman was playing charades last night on The Tonight Show:

The Voice will be on the DVR tonight as i watch the hockey game. hopefully i start to feel a little better as this rain is quickly putting me in the dumps.

my mother thinks she may have broken a rib when she fell yesterday. needless to say, i'm not thrilled with this news.

that's all for me today. hope everyone is dry somewhere.

oh yeah, the baseball season has started...

i guess this is what happens when the New York Yankees stop being relevant... the baseball season sneaks up on you. but. before i get to that rant...

welcome to the 6th day of National Poetry Month. today, i want to shine some light on the YouTube channel, Button Poetry. i came across this channel a few days ago and i have been completely blown away with the videos. below are 3 of those videos. do yourself a favor and subscribe to this channel today.

the New York Yankees lost today 6-1. i really stopped giving a shit when they got down 5-0. as much as i hope they have a great season, i also know that their cycle to win a championship is most likely over. the window has closed. now, i REALLY hope i am wrong in that assessment... time will tell. but, if the offense they got today is any indication, it won't matter how well they pitch this season.

thankfully, Manchester City lost to Crystal Palace so i can at least have a few laughs today.

the season finale of Shameless last night was great. i can't wait to see where the show goes next season. Happyish was pretty damn funny. i believe i will give that a show a try this season. and finally, Last Week Tonight was MUST SEE television. here's why:

tonight the live shows for The Voice starts. i will be putting those on the DVR while i'm watching Monday Night Raw. Chris Jericho is doing his podcast on the WWE Network tonight. even though his guest will be John Cena, i will watch it.

also tonight the New York Rangers take on the red hot Columbus Blue Jackets. hopefully the Rangers win as i would like a victory beer.

mom and i went to the farm today to take another batch of shit to charity. the wind was fucking horrendous today. mom fell down. thankfully, she didn't hit her head. but, i am keeping an eye on her. she's had concussion issues in the past. when we were at the farm, the auction people were putting up signs for the auction on May 6th. i think we both know the crazy shit will begin now. also, i told them that if they can sell my truck in the auction, feel free. they were interested when i told them it runs and has less than 100,000 miles on it. if they can get anything for that piece of shit, i will be thrilled. of course, it also means the farm better sell for a good number as i will need a vehicle. i don't think mom and i will survive long one just one. mom actually has a rental now. the dealership fucked up her new tires she was supposed to get today. hopefully that will all be done by tomorrow. as always, never a dull fucking day.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if not, join the fucking club.

depression and easter candy...

today on the 5th day of National Poetry Month, i'd like to shine a little light on another zine i absolutely fucking love, Nerve Cowboy.

Nerve Cowboy is one of the zines i am most proud of to be published by. the quality of the work within each issue is on par with ANY zine in the world, small press, academic, snob poetry, etc. do yourself a favor and go the site, http://www.nervecowboy.com/, click on chapbooks or subscriptions and support this wonderful magazine. it will be well worth your time and money.

i went over to the farm this morning to get all the trash down to the end of the lane. there was a ton of it. i'm sure the garbage men are going to be thrilled. of course, since today is a holiday, my sister and i got into it. my sister likes to think she runs shit when she comes down here. mom allows her to think that way too much (my opinion) so, every once in a while, i try to bring my sister back to reality. but god forbid tell her to shut her mouth when it comes to shit i want to keep at the new house. as i warned my mother, allowing my sister to buy her this house was going to give her full reign in her mind to do whatever the fuck she wants with it. and sure enough, slowly this is becoming like her place. i don't think my sister knows i heard her this morning after our little argument when she asked my mother if she has her will done or not. i took that as yet another shot at me and my depression and whatnot. i would think my sister and my mother would both know by now i will kill myself before i would do anything to them. they have already showed what i mean to them over the years by making sure to celebrate each holiday with the cousin that molested me. i'm the one that gets to grapple with loneliness. good times.

so, on that lovely note, on with this shit...

the New York Rangers whipped the shit out of the Devils last night, 6-1. that gives them 50 wins for the 4th time in franchise history. here are some highlights from the win:

i did watch most of the Final Four last night. i wasn't shocked that Wisconsin beat Kentucky. i was a little shocked at how easily Duke won. the Kentucky loss killed my main bracket, so i have no interest in the title game on Monday night. thankfully, there will be plenty of other shit on to watch.

i'm trailing badly in my fantasy hockey championship match. hopefully in this final week, the worm will turn.

for those of you concerned, my ankle is still attached to my body. it feels a little better today. i'm guessing that's because there's no rain in the area. now, most of next week i will be a pissy mess as it's supposed to rain just about every single fucking day. good times.

that's all for today. hope the Saturday night hangover isn't fucking with you too bad today.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and the results are in...

before we get to the state of my right ankle, welcome to the 4th day of National Poetry Month. today, i want to shine a little light on Chiron Review.

Chiron Review is one of the best poetry magazines to EVER come around. i highly urge all of you to go to the site, http://www.chironreview.com/, check out the current issues, BUY some back issues and really dig your teeth into one of the finest zines around.

so i got the x-ray results for my right ankle this morning. no fracture. but, a couple of spots showing bone spurs. fucking lovely. so, it all now comes down to pain tolerance or surgery. as i told a friend earlier that suggested i have the surgery... i have no idea how to live without pain in my life. so, as usual, i'll simply find the pleasure in the pain and march on. with a limp.

my sister and i started putting up some of the things in my room; posters, awards, shelves, etc. my mother looked at it and asked when i was going to grow up? i laughed and said i've been avoiding it for 39 years, why the fuck am i going to stop now. i found a nice little spot for the artwork i bought from Mr. Brainwash. i'll get some pics up when this all gets done.

i went over to the farm this morning to help load up a bunch of shit that needed to be taken to the county dump. i was a little surprised when my mother and sister took be back to the house and basically let me off the hook for the rest of the day. that did give me a chance to rest my ankle and catch up on some of the pro wrestling on the DVR.

it also gave me the chance to catch the second half of the Manchester United game. it wasn't exactly pretty but i'll gladly take the 3 points in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa. plus, the goal from Wayne Rooney was spectacular. here are some highlights from the game:

the Final Four starts tonight. i figure i'll watch most of that. the New York Rangers also play tonight. i'll have an eye on that as well. also, Saturday Night Live is new and the episode of Austin City Limits looks to be a good one. i guess the DVR is going to be busy tonight.

hard to imagine that the baseball season starts tomorrow night. i have no clue how the New York Yankees are going to do this season. but, i imagine if they miss the playoffs for the 3rd straight season, heads are going to fucking roll.

that's all for me today. i've got some icing to do and a nap to take. hope everyone is having a great weekend.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

never a dull day when there's blood involved

i'm sure that title has you wondering what the fuck happened. more on that in a little bit. but first, for National Poetry Month today, i wanted to shine a little light on Interior Noise Press.

one of the finest small presses around, head on over to the site and check out. or more importantly, BUY some of the poetry there from yours truly, Jason Floyd Williams, Doug Draime, Mather Schneider, James Babbs, Justin Hyde, Glenn Hardin and Carl Miller Daniels. pick up any of these books and you will not be disappointed.

in other artsy fartsy news, my good friend and artist from Sweden, Janne Karlsson, has a new book out. you can find it on amazon.com by going here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1926860462

so i went with mom to the store and we got a few things plus a good number of storage bins that were on sale. so, as i was loading them into the car, the 7 lids that were together came back and smacked me right in the face. busted open a nice gash on the bridge of my nose. once i got the bleeding stopped i told my mother i hope it scars. that would be one where i really could make something creative up about it.

we did some more cleaning over at the farm today. i was feeling miserable as it has been raining on and off all damn day long. or it was the Burger King i had for lunch. we've got a ton of shit to do tomorrow as well. so, i don't know if i will get to watch Manchester United play or not.

the New York Rangers blew a lead last night but immediately came back to win 3-2 in regulation to clinch the division last night. that gives them home ice for the playoffs for the first two rounds. here are the highlights from last night:

the Late Late Show with James Corden was brilliant last night. to record a show from a stranger's house was one of those out of the box ideas that i absolutely loved. plus, the woman from Australia visiting happened to be fucking beautiful. i'm sure that helped. here's a few highlights from the show:

what a fucking excellent show.

i've got a ton of shit i'm putting on the DVR tonight; The Grace Helbig Show, NJPW, etc etc. my sister is down for the weekend, so i figure i'll either be doing something with her and the family this evening or in my room listening to some music. all i know is i really need to ice my back down, so i'm wrapping this fucker up.

hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are into the Easter shit, enjoy it. if not, enjoy the candy.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the pure misery of the rain

welcome to the second day of National Poetry Month, where the rain has decided to just leave me in complete misery. before i get to that rant, here's your gift for today. i stumbled upon a video on YouTube today and figured i would share. enjoy:

also, in a little poetry news from my world, i sent 5 poems today to 48th Street Press for the broadside project. when i hear back from Chris i'll pass along the verdict.

now, my rant. we're currently in a weather cycle where it is just line after line of rain and thunderstorms. when i was a kid, i loved this shit. now, racked with arthritis and an ankle that is seemingly wanting to jump off of my body at any second, this is pure fucking misery. i lay in bed and i ache. i look at porn and i ache. i do some reading, watch tv, whatever, the pain never leaves. i can see why people do the hard shit. if i knew i could do some heroin and i wouldn't die or get addicted, i'd be the first in line. fuck.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Minnesota. yet another team fighting for a playoff spot out west. if the Rangers get a win tonight, they win their division. so, i'm really hoping they get that out of the way tonight. that means they would be the 1 or 2 seed in the Eastern conference. but, this is not the time to start thinking about the playoffs. all on my mind is how much i need a victory beer.

i did see a few things last night on the talk shows that really made me laugh. enjoy:

on the DVR tonight will be The Big Bang Theory and a new lip sync battle show. i figured that would give me something mindless to laugh at.

that's all for today. i'm going to go try to crawl into a ball and either put the covers over me or try to suck my own dick. either way, i figure i'll roll the wrong way and break my neck. enjoy the visual my friends.

hope this finds everyone dry. maybe even enjoying some fucking sunshine, whatever the hell that is. i did do a little shopping today online. free shit from Amazon.com and a new wrestling t-shirt from the WWE. not bad getting close to 15 things for around $20 total. i'm amazed i've waited this long to start using the Amazon gift cards i got for Christmas and my birthday. April is some fucking record for me. of course, maybe it's the lack of space i have now for anything.

anywho, until tomorrow you unlucky souls...

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

let the poetry begin

so, i sort of decided to do some random bullshit each day for National Poetry Month. some news stories, some poet spotlights, some YouTube videos, etc. etc. basically, whatever my lazy ass feels like doing that day. so, let's kick off the month with my favorite living poet, John Sweet.

if you are not familiar with John's work, shame on you. here's a few links to help you.
http://burningword.com/category/john_sweet/

and then do yourself a favor and go subscribe to his blog:
http://bleedinghorse.blogspot.com/

the New York Rangers got a much needed 3-2 win last night up in Winnipeg. the game had a little poetic justice with the winning goal. watch the highlights and you'll understand what i'm talking about.

i was up late last night getting my laundry done. but, i did manage to get some sleep, figuring the people coming to get the furniture were going to be here early. of course, that didn't happen. not sure why someone would piss away the chance to get over $1,000 worth of furniture for fucking free. oh well. not sure what's going to happen to it now, i just know it needs to get out of the fucking garage. soon.

i got a good nap in this afternoon and was using the vacuum when my mother got back home. i figured that was excellent timing; letting her believe i actually give a shit about keeping the new house clean. i thought i was driving her to work today but she decided she wanted to go it alone.

had a little test of my sanity today. nothing quite like opening up the blinds in the kitchen to see the woman that molested me as a child sweeping the sidewalk next door. i sort of just mumbled to myself  'i wonder how long until i murder everyone?'. good times.

i did get some poems ready to send to that broadside project. i'm guessing that will happen before the end of the week.

tonight on the DVR i will have Lucha Underground. mostly because since i have the WWE Network now, i get to finally see NXT. so, basically my night will be one filled with pro wrestling. seems like a fitting way to close up April Fool's Day.

that's all for me. i need to go over to the farm and get some more stuff out of there, feed the cats, and get the mail at the PO Box, etc. etc.

hope the new month finds everyone ready for some warmer weather.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the winds of hell

oh shit, two days in a row. i guess i'm back in the flow of this once again.

i didn't sleep very well last night. i'm not sure if it's the season or the absolutely fucking bizarre dreams i was having. between one where my high school girlfriend actually was in love with me to one where i was accused in history class of putting mustard on a chocolate cake. not sure what the fuck it all means nor do i really fucking care at the moment.

of course, 20 minutes after i woke up from those dreams, i opened an email from Russell at The Camel Saloon passing on the poems i sent yesterday. well, that helps solve the problem with not having poems for the broadside project.

i was not very pleased with Monday Night Raw last night. other than Brock Lesnar nearly killing everyone, the rest of the night was a bit of a downer. i did like the debuts of the guys from NXT. hopefully they are on Raw for a long time. it just felt like they were back to hey, let's fuck the audience again and not give them anything they want. though, i doubt they liked the cheers when Brock did this to lead announcer Michael Cole:
of course, it would have been best to do the rest of the show in silence. they chose not to and made shit even worse.

i watched The Voice from last night this afternoon. i figured it was a good time, especially given the way team USA has been playing here recently. they were playing Switzerland at noon. so, once The Voice was over, i flipped over to the soccer match. of course, i missed a great goal:
USA ended up drawing with the Swiss 1-1. Jozy Altidore got a red card. not sure why people think he didn't deserve it. he was going to get a yellow for the tackle. you can't exactly tell the ref to go fuck himself and not think you're not getting another yellow. stupid stupid STUPID. oh well, just another fucking friendly where they couldn't hold a lead.

the New York Rangers play tonight up in Winnipeg. this isn't the best place to try to get on a good streak. hopefully they win against a desperate Jets team.

on the DVR tonight will be the recap episode of The Voice and Undateable, one of the few comedies i actually like on NBC.

the people that were supposed to get the furniture today didn't show up. figures. mom has told them they have to be here by 8 in the morning tomorrow or she's giving it all away to charity. so much for sleeping in tomorrow.

i got some free music on iTunes today. i haven't been over to NoiseTrade yet to see what they have. and, i guess i should check out that new streaming service that Jay Z is doing. judging from the commercial, it looks interesting.

that's all for me today. i believe i might have to drive mom to work tomorrow. her Meniere's disease has been acting up again. if that happens, i'll bring along a pen and paper and maybe get a few poems down. either that, or maybe do some day drinking. good times.

hope this finds everyone drunk and looking at bad porn. until tomorrow bitches.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

riding the waves

so here's what happened at the doctor's office this morning. i got there a little early, so my gift was to wait until nearly 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to be until i actually got in. good times. thankfully, my weight was down as was my A1C, which made the doctor really happy. we talked about my ankle and he looked at it. he figures it's tendinitis, but he ordered some x-rays just to make sure. so, i drove there and after waiting in line for 5 minutes behind a woman who shit her pants and another 15 minutes just to get registered to get the x-rays, i finally got in and had 3 x-rays done. i have to call the doc in a few days to see if anything is broken. if it comes back clean, the process will be time and patience. i figure it will be more like pain tolerance and plenty of drinking. i'll post a pic of the bar i have set up at the new house. let's just say i'm an alcoholic.

i sent out 11 poems today; 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon. i sent out 5 poems to Your One Phone Call. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.

it was when i was sending out those poems that i checked and saw my poems had been published on Horror Sleaze Trash. that poem "pink sweatpants" is about 98% true. man, i miss those days.

i watched WrestleMania last night. i was pleasantly surprised with how good the show was. i watched it on the WWE Network as Directv decided not to offer it this year. i was happy that i was able to stream the network through my Bluray player. look at me, finally in the 21st century. hot damn.

i'm really looking forward to Monday Night Raw tonight. this is ALWAYS the best Raw of the year. and after how good the ppv was last night, i'm expecting a fucking great show tonight.

the New York Rangers were the first team in the NHL to get to 100 points this season. sadly, they have shit the bed since that. hopefully they can turn it back up and win the division and go into the playoffs on fire.

i have made the finals of fantasy hockey for the 4th year in a row. hopefully i don't finish second like the last three years.

i got an email today asking for some poems for a broadside project. i guess i need to break out the pen and paper again. of course, i do have a few older poems now available as well. i will hopefully get that submission ready in the next few days.

hopefully the people coming to get the furniture for my sister's friend show up tomorrow. after that shit gets out of the garage, mom can start getting her shit over here. that should help her stress level some.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and god knows what else.

i'm just about ready to start hanging the artwork and whatnot in my room. once i get that done, then i'll post some pictures of just how fucking ridiculous my room is.

that's all for today. i'm slowly getting back in the groove. if i happen to carve out a few minutes for this tomorrow, look the fuck out.

hope everyone had a great weekend.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

back in the saddle

i decided i would be something other than lazy today and actually do a blog post. now, i can't guarantee that i'm going to make this a daily ritual once again right away. but, as i'm slowly getting used to life in the suburbs once again, i can see this becoming my drug once again.

the furniture, or most of it, arrived on Monday. mom realized then just how small this house really is. that made me laugh. how we don't end up killing each other before we die of natural causes is beyond me. the good thing is my recliner is finally here and i've been able to sleep in it each time i have put my fat ass in it.

the weather has been crazy the last few days. the rain has really fucked me up. of course, the 30 degree drop in temperature didn't help either. i see the doctor on Monday. that should be an interesting one. since nearly everyone else in my family is a diabetic, i get my screening done on Monday. plus, i'd love to find out what is really going on with my ankle.

the Dayton Flyers had their run in the NCAA tournament ended by Oklahoma. they simply ran out of gas. but, they ran out of it months later than most people thought they would. and today they extended their coach until 2022. i highly doubt he will be here that long, but it does mean the college will get paid when he leaves for a big time job. of course, he may fool us all and stay here forever. he's got some great talent coming in next year. if it all works out, i can sense another deep run coming.

the New York Rangers could clinch a playoff spot tonight. they play Ottawa. more importantly though, The King is back. i believe he's going to play one of the games this weekend. if he can come back healthy and great, get ready for another DEEP playoff run. i really don't give a shit if they win the President's Trophy or not, i simply want the Stanley Cup again before i die.

i've been enjoying The Voice here for the last few weeks. here's a couple of the performances i've really liked:

so far i prefer team Blake (shocker) but i think each team has someone that can win the whole thing.

i didn't get on here to boast about Manchester United beating Liverpool, but i will gladly post the best goal in the Premier League this season:
ladies and gentlemen, Juan Mata...

i am truly enjoying life with a DVR. i don't have to stay up all night to watch shit (even though i do) and i am catching up with a bunch of shows i didn't watch before. of course, my life is still consumed with sports. and with WrestleMania coming up this weekend, you can imagine that pro wrestling is dominating my life at the moment. let's just say my mother isn't that happy.

speaking of pro wrestling, here's one of the best damn casket matches i have seen in years. Lucha Underground is something you absolutely NEED to watch each week:

my brackets for the NCAA tournament aren't horrible. the problem is they aren't great either. at this point i'm just hoping either Kentucky wins it all or loses in the final.

amazingly, most of the cats are still alive. i don't feed them everyday anymore. i do feed them when i'm over there. i'm a little surprised at how resilient they have been. of course, i would gladly love for someone to come along and take them. the other night i was looking out the window here at the new house and saw this huge cat come right up to the door. for a second, i thought one of those fuckers followed me from the farm. that wasn't the case, but the lady that lived here before had cats. as i have told my mother repeatedly, NO FUCKING PETS. i'll have a few bird feeders and battles with the flying rats (squirrels) but the only animal inside of here will be me.

i do know she's fucking stunned that i actually use the vacuum every few days. the house is 90% carpet, so i know it's necessary. i can't wait until we get a dishwasher though. i mean shit, we actually have water now that doesn't stain fucking everything it touches, let's take advantage of it. i know though, all the good shit has to wait until the farm gets auctioned off. hopefully the price gets high enough that my mother and i don't have to worry about fucking anything for at least a few months.

ok, enough of my rambling. got some good shit bubbling in the poetry world, but i don't want to jinx anything. but let's just say that a guy in Sweden has been busting his ass and finally, it may be all paying off. i've got some poems to send out here soon. i believe that will happen in the next few days. most likely before the end of March. can't let the world forget about me just yet.

i'll try to make this a habit once again. hope this finds everyone in good spirits.

where does the time go

i figured i better do one of these again before the world forgets that this blog actually exists. i still am in the process of moving. most of my shit is over here. mom has procrastinated to the point where our furniture will arrive on March 23rd. we have been able to get some of the furniture over in the SUV, so it somewhat feels like a house. the weather hasn't helped much at all.

as for me personally, my shoulder is getting better. i don't feel the pinch as often these days. my right ankle is brutal right now. arthritis (at least i hope that's what it is) is killing me in that ankle. i go to the doctor in a few weeks for my 3 month checkup. that should be an interesting visit.

i am in the playoffs for fantasy hockey at the moment. of course, my team is dealing with injuries, as usual.

the New York Rangers have been playing amazing hockey without The King. to be first in the entire league is truly fucking amazing at this point.

the Dayton Flyers got totally fucking hosed by the selection committee for the NCAA tournament. they were the last team in even though there were a handful of teams that they are absolutely better than. so to turn around and play in the First Four is fucking ridiculous. to find out that if they didn't make it to the finals of the A10 tourney and they wouldn't have been in the field at all is truly fucking ridiculous. at least i'll get to see them play tomorrow. they play Boise State. if they win, they get to play Providence in Columbus on Friday. that would make 5 games in 7 days for them. all with 7 fucking players.

i did fill out a few brackets. i think i have Kentucky winning it all on most of them.

i did write my first poems since i moved. i think they are pretty good. i will get around to sending them out in a few weeks. between trying to move shit each day and take care of the cats, helping my mom and then battling a true lack of sleep, unless i'm typing at 3 in the morning, i simply have no time for submissions at this moment.

i did find it comforting that a guy down the road was cleaning his motorcycles over the weekend blasting Black Sabbath. at least not everyone on this cul-de-sac is on the verge of death.

i've had to get some new bird feeders to battle the fucking squirrels over here. these flying rats are everywhere.

the hockey games that we had tickets to are over. my sister is toying with the idea of getting some tickets for next season. the kicker though is she will be in Africa for a month. so, i doubt that we'll get tickets next season.

here are the basketball games i'll be watching in person today and tomorrow:
Manhattan vs. Hampton and Ole Miss vs. BYU
North Florida vs. Robert Morris and Boise St. vs. Dayton

seeing that the late games don't start until 9 PM each night, i'll be fucking tired beyond belief these next two days. but, as long as i get to see Dayton stick it to the selection committee and win on Wednesday, i'll be fine.

thank god i do have a DVR now. as you might imagine, i'm recording fucking everything. it's made my life much less stressful.

the series ending episode of The Jinx was fucking awesome. i saved it on the DVR as i'll watch that over and over.

once i get a little more settled and back in the swing of things, i'll take some pictures of the new place and show everyone just how fucking packed my room actually is. once i get everything up on the wall, i'll basically be the sociopath that some actually believe i am.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is doing well. happy St. Patrick's Day to all my drunk friends out there.

i'll probably get back to doing this everyday once the baseball season starts going.

yet again, a genius in Sweden turns my drivel into brilliance

i guess i should really find the time to start blogging again as my good friend, Janne Karlsson, has once again turned some mindless drivel i wrote in this blog into some artistic brilliance. you can find our latest monster by going here:
