up before the sun...

considering i'm running on 4 hours sleep right now, i'm going to try to make this as quick as possible.

Manchester United won 2-1 this morning. Goals from Di Maria and Falcao. but the man of the match was David De Gea. he made some spectacular saves in the victory. if all breaks well for United, they could be back in the top 4 in the Premier League.

my fantasy hockey team was drafted this morning. i'm pretty good at the top end but i'm going to have to do some work to make it a complete roster that i like. or, maybe some of the kids i have actually do well from the start.

i've got some injuries to deal with in fantasy football today. hopefully all the guys will be playing.

Ohio State destroyed Maryland yesterday 52-24. i still want the defense to be better, but i think the offense is finally starting to figure some things out.

there were a ton of upsets yesterday in college football. i watched a few of them. part of the reason why i didn't get a nap yesterday.

Saturday Night Live was much better last night than last week. i found myself laughing throughout the show.

ROH was excellent last night.

tonight is going to be a long one for me. i have some players playing in the Sunday night football game. i'll watch that up until 9 pm. then, i'll be watching Boardwalk Empire. then, the season finale of The Strain. i'm hoping that blows me away. after that i'll be watching Total Divas. then, a quick check of my fantasy football results before i watch Last Week Tonight. and finally, i'll be watching Homeland. considering it's 2 new episodes to start the season, i have no clue how i'm going to get to bed after that. my brain will be a little busy.

i have to get the trash picked up and get the cats fed. it's another chilly day here, so i better put on some pants before i go outside. enjoy that visual.

my mother got her DNA test results this morning. sadly for her, it's confirmed we're related.

please read the poems i got published earlier at Dead Snakes. i really like those 3.

that's all for me today. enjoy the rest of your weekend, all 3 of you that read this. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

a stuffed nose only means one thing...

welcome to fall in Ohio. it was damn near 75 yesterday and this morning i wake up (way too early) and it is 38 degrees. that's the kind of temperature drop that makes me curious to see if my flu shot will actually work. we didn't have any frost thankfully. if it gets too cold the crops could be fucked. but, it certainly feels like football and hockey weather now.

Ohio State plays a trap game today at Maryland. hopefully they come out and take care of them early. if this gets into a back and forth game, the young Buckeyes could be in a for a cruel lesson once again. hopefully they win as they play at noon and the rest of my day will be shit if they lose.

there are a ton of college football games on today. i plan on watching a few of them between naps and whatever else goes on today. later tonight i'll be watching Saturday Night Live and then ROH. and then getting a few hours of sleep to get up and watch Manchester United tomorrow morning. i'll be blogging after that, hopefully. i believe my fantasy hockey roster will be known by that time.

The Knick was fascinating last night. Clive Owen was brilliant. withdrawal is one cruel fucking time in a life. i can't wait to see what happens next week.

the wrestling ippv on YouTube last night was long and was good in spots. i'll say this, thankfully it was free. i would have been pissed if i paid for it given all the technical problems. of course, that's life in the indies. the match of the night was Candice and Joey vs. Tommy Dreamer and Ivelisse. some comedy, some hot women, part fucking gross, part holy shit, and there was blood. the rest of the show was overbooked for my liking but it was better than doing nothing on a Friday night.

the New York Rangers won in a shootout last night 3-2 over Chicago. albeit the preseason, i was happy that the Rangers came from behind to get the win. after last night, i'm pretty sure Ryan Malone is making this team. plus, here's the video i might be watching for the rest of the day:
the final preseason game is tonight. i doubt i'll watch much of it. hopefully i'll catch the highlights. it's the final chance for the kids to make an impression. there are spots to be won out there, so it should be interesting.

i need to get going. i have cats to feed and soccer in Europe to go watch. hope everyone has a great Saturday. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

there's always time to panic...

i actually did get out and take some pictures yesterday. got a few good ones that i really like. here's a few of them. the rest can be seen in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog.

i picked the NFL game right last night. my kicker got 4 points, which is much better than what i was fearing was going to happen when it looked like he would get none. i'm trailing in both of my fantasy matches but it could be much worse. Green Bay found their running game last night. that helped me greatly.

mom decided she needed to get out of the house today. so, we decided to go out to lunch to the one sports bars she likes. this would also allow her to test her hearing aid. we started to drive and it started to rain. i haven't driven my mother's SUV in the rain before. so, once i figured out the wipers, i figured all would be well. not so much. we were on the highway, in the construction zone, and all hell broke loose. a thunderstorm out of nowhere was bringing down buckets of rain. i'm trying to get the wipers to move faster and the fucker in front of me decides to slam on his brakes. luckily, i'm not a person who panics. i applied the brakes, slowly, to hopefully not spin out or flip since we were on wet pavement. and just like that, the rain became drizzle. anyone who questions me when i say i'm here for god's amusement is a fool.

lunch went well. i made sure to start drinking so i wouldn't be driving back home. i don't care for the highway, especially when it's always under construction. thankfully, the alcohol helped with my bad back.

tonight will be another clusterfuck for me. the New York Rangers play another preseason game tonight against Chicago. at the same time, there is a wrestling ippv on YouTube that is free tonight that i really want to watch. so, i guess i will be swiveling in the chair from the tv to the computer. good times. and hopefully all that is over in time for me to watch The Knick tonight. i can't wait to see how my back feels after this tonight.

i'm planning on being on here tomorrow morning before Ohio State plays at noon. of course, that all depends on how i'm feeling as it is supposed to get down into the 30's tonight once this cold front moves through. good times.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. remember to only drink and drive if you're good at it and only fuck the ones that cough.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

response from Midnight Lane Boutique

i heard back from Johnny at Midnight Lane Boutique on my poetry submission from yesterday. what he wants to do is give me two separate features on the site. one will be my poems from the Midnight on the Stroll Poetry Contest. the other feature will have my poems "our women are easy", "buddy system", "at a reasonable rate mind you", "domestic violence rule #1", and "how soon until i blow it". the first batch of poems should be up in about 3 weeks or so. i'll post the links when that happens.

the last good day...

it actually turned out to be pretty warm today. of course, if the weather reports are true (laugh now), today will be the last nice day for the foreseeable future. we are supposed to get some nasty storms come through tonight and tomorrow morning. farmers are scrambling like crazy around this area today trying to get the crops off. the guy who farms out here always plays it cool. i think our crops will be on for the next couple of weeks or so.

i sent out 13 poems today, 3 to Raw Dog Press and 10 to Midnight Lane Boutique. all 13 of these poems were 8 lines or less. that was a bit of a challenge. i feel pretty good about some of the poems. some are ones that have been sitting around for awhile and i figured fuck it, why not. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts.

mom and i went to Perkins for dinner last night. the same Perkins i went to all the time as a teenager. the same Perkins i fingered a former love of my life in the parking lot. the same Perkins where the girl i lost my virginity to used to work at. to say i get a flood of memories when i walk in the place would be an understatement. one thing that has changed was the fucking prices. holy shit, my youth truly is gone. shit i used to get for under $4 is now around $9. damn. after dinner we went to the grocery store. definitely not nearly as crowded as when we go in the daytime. and since it was less crowded, guess who got to bag the groceries. i was impressed that i did it as quickly as i did.

we got back home in time for The Bridge season finale. it went a little different than i was expecting. certainly not as violent as i thought it would be. the only one that died was a guy i didn't think was going to die. not saying it was bad, just different. it did plant a few seeds for season 3, which will hopefully be coming soon.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight as i have the kicker for the Vikings. of course, one of my fantasy opponents has Green Bay's QB and #2 WR. needless to say, i will be trailing in the game going into Sunday.

other than that, i will probably be watching some college football and who knows what else.

my mom got her new hearing aid today. i'll be interested to see how that works out for her. her last one lasted 2 days before she couldn't stand it anymore.

if you get a chance to download the new mixtape from Childish Gambino, do it. it's damn good.

i was a little shocked when i saw the news this morning that Evel Dick of Big Brother fame has HIV. i truly understand why he left the show the last time he was on it now. hopefully him coming forward will help wake people up once again that HIV is still out there.

well, that's all for me today. i've got toilets to clean and dishes to do. and then, maybe my lazy ass will get outside and take some photos. if that happens, they'll be posted for the blog tomorrow.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

and here comes another month of...

i was up pretty late last night fucking around with my fantasy football teams. i figure since i have had no luck at all with waivers this year, i would just wait until afterwards and just pick through what was left. so i have new kickers and defenses. hopefully that makes a difference in the next few weeks. i need to get on a nice long winning streak if i want this season to be something other than pure failure.

and to tempt insanity some more, i picked a league for fantasy hockey. that will be interesting since i will actually be attending some NHL games this year and i don't have a smart phone to make some last second changes with the team. i'll have to find out all the good sources for this upcoming season.

speaking of hockey, the Rangers lost last night. i do love that Anthony Duclair scored yet again. this 19 year old is basically forcing himself on the team. they would be crazy to send him back to juniors. hopefully they realize that by now. the kids in this system are amazing so far. i really feel like the time is right for the Rangers to win it all again. hopefully sometime before i die.

i did catch some of the baseball game last night. the playoffs just aren't the same without the Yankees. but, what a fucking choke job by the A's last night. i would congratulate the Royals on the win but i'm old enough to remember the wars between the Royals and Yankees, so that's not going to happen. i doubt i watch much of the game tonight.

mom wants to go out to dinner and to the store. so i'm assuming that is what is going to make up most of my Wednesday night. good times.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i did like the last guy that went to Adam's team. i told mom that was going to happen so all the coaches would have two spots left for next week. i've watched too many damn reality shows. i'm producing the damn things in my head now.

i did a little poetry work today. i think i know where i'm sending my next round of submissions. if all goes well, that will happen sometime tomorrow.

i had to change the water filter down in the cellar today. first time i had changed it since they fixed everything. it was a little different but not that bad. of course, when mom saw dark water in the toilet i figured i fucked something up. so far, so good on that account. i think the well pump is so much better than our last one that we're getting everything to come up. and i mean everything. i figure as long as the water coming out of the faucet isn't dark, we're fine.

i heard back from the doctor's office today about my blood tests. everything is good. i laughed and told my mother that i'm once again proving the odds wrong. i'm a healthy fat person. a throwback to the old days. sadly, i'm poor like the old days as well.

now that i've got my shower out of the way, i guess i could go into town and get the mail and paper. the only time either one of us have been out of the house today was to feed the cats. we had a damn fog here this morning that didn't burn off until noon. it was like some creepy horror movie. fuck it, i'll just wait until we go to the store.

i was shocked when i saw i was well over 2,000 LinkedIn followers today. now if all of them would just buy something...

that's all for me today. i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

may the nightmare be over...

there are certain moments in fantasy football that you sometimes just want to go to a mirror and punch yourself in the face until you bleed. one of those times is when you see a guy on your bench score 3 touchdowns. by the way, that's enough fantasy points to turn a loss into a win. and it doesn't help me that i'm super fucking competitive. so, i didn't get much sleep last night as i was busy beating myself up.

i picked the NFL game wrong last night. i went 6-7 for the week. that is about as bad as it gets for me. i also lost both of my fantasy football matches, so it's back to the drawing board.

i got to watch much of what i wanted to last night. The Voice was pretty good, but none of the voices blew me away. Gotham was excellent, i just wish it was on a different night. as for The Big Bang Theory, i watched some of that on YouTube this morning. pretty funny as usual. Monday Night Raw was good last night. i remember telling my mother when Dean Ambrose debuted in the WWE that he was the future of professional wrestling. so far, i'm looking pretty damn good with my prediction.

as for tonight, since i highly doubt i will be watching the baseball playoffs, i'll only be watching The Voice. other than that, probably whatever is on a music channel or an educational channel.

i got my DNA results from Ancestry.com yesterday. much to my sister's chagrin, we are related. she was a little upset that i'm more Irish than she is. i don't see the big deal in any of this.

i also saw the results from my blood test this morning. all the numbers looked like they were good. of course, it would be nice for the doctor to tell me that. i'm still waiting for my call to be returned. i will gladly assume if i don't hear from him, i'm good to go.

i did watch alot of the New York Rangers game last night with the Flyers. i love how fast the young kids are. hopefully a few of them make it on the team. Rangers won 6-3. they play again tonight in Philly. i'm pretty sure i'll have to watch it later tonight.

got some FREE music on iTunes and NoiseTrade today. i'll provide the links below.

today really has been one of these days that has flown by. and i basically haven't done shit. i figure this is how much of the rest of my life will go.

i did watch some Champions League play today. i have to admit, the PSG win over Barcelona was fascinating to watch. i wish people in this country that hate the sport would be forced to watch that game. maybe they would get what the rest of the world raves about.

that's pretty much all for me today. i guess i should at least get out of the clothes i slept in last night, it's almost time for dinner.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

and the days and nights start to bleed together...

yet another Monday where i'm running on fumes. it was almost completely worth it, right up until the Saints got their asses handed to them last night. then, it all became one long, long drag...not even some great television could save me. anywho, on with the show...

the Yankees won yesterday 9-5 to finish the season 84-78. Derek Jeter got a RBI single in his last at bat, giving him 3.465 hits for his career. that puts him at 6th place all time. not bad. i thought the Red Sox did a pretty good job with the ceremony yesterday, albeit some of it was WAY over the top. did they really think Jeter was going to dance to someone singing RESPECT? i certainly got a little misty when he left the field for the final time. i've watched his whole damn career. my second favorite Yankee of all time. hopefully he truly enjoys his retirement, he has earned it.

my fantasy football yesterday was full of heartbreak. i have lost one game by 4 damn points. i'm trailing in the other by 3 points going into the game tonight. and i certainly sucked at picking games this week. this is the kind of week that you tend to realize that sometimes when going with your gut, you find out your gut is full of shit.

the Saints got killed last night 38-17. and quite honestly, it wasn't even that close. thankfully, i only got to see bits and pieces of the game. they aren't going to start winning games until they fix that fucking defense.

thankfully, the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. Boardwalk Empire was great. i always love a brutal murder to finish off a show. The Strain was brilliant last night. another layer of the onion was revealed. i LOVE that show. Last Week Tonight had me laughing. Total Divas was pretty good. Ray Donovan was excellent. it certainly had a few shocking moments in the season finale. Masters of Sex was great. that had a few twists as well.

tonight is yet another clusterfuck on tv for me. i'm going to try to do a better job of watching Gotham tonight. that pretty much means that The Big Bang Theory is going to get the slight this week. The Voice and Monday Night Raw are on at that time as well. once again, i'll be relying on YouTube to help me with what i miss on the shows.

i think i may have found a new favorite music video:

around 4 in the morning, i wrote 5 poems. i typed those up this afternoon. i'm trying to write poems that are less than 8 lines long. got a few places i want to send to that want short poems. plus, i always love a good challenge.

one of these days i'm going to take advantage of this weather we are having and take some new photos of the farm. it's getting really close to harvest time.

that's pretty much all for me today. i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

it's not all it's cracked up to be...

i snuck in a nap yesterday while watching some soccer over in Europe. it was one of those naps where you are so damn tired you fall asleep in a horrific position, so i think may have done more harm than good. my back is still feeling it.

my buddy did come over to watch Ohio State beat UC last night, 50-28. the game certainly felt much closer than the final score. he ate before he got here, so it looks like i'm going to be stuffing my face today. it is good being around him again. we were damn near inseparable in high school. hard to imagine it's been so long since we've hung out together.

the Yankees lost yesterday 10-4, not that it matters. today is the final game of Derek Jeter's career. i guess he's going to DH again today. he went 1-2 doing that yesterday, leaving in the 5th inning. hopefully i will flip over in time to catch whatever happens today. helps that my football team isn't playing until tonight. i saw reports this morning that the manager ripped the team the day of the home finale. might be time to fire him if he thought that was the right time for that to happen. where was he the rest of the fucking season? as sad as today will be for me, i'll be so fucking happy this season will be over.

like i said before, the New Orleans Saints play tonight against Dallas. that throws a wrench in my television viewing tonight. if all goes as planned (when does that happen?) i'll start off with the game and then go to Boardwalk Empire. then, i'll watch The Strain, flipping back to the game during commercials. hopefully sometime after Last Week Tonight, the game will end. and i will hopefully be enjoying a victory beer while watching Total Divas and the season finales of Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. and if all goes well, i'll be in bed before the sun is starting to come up.

my fantasy football lineups are set. i have no major injury concerns (knock on wood) so i have no major scrambling that has to happen later today. i don't like either of my matchups today. thankfully, i won't know the results until after the game tomorrow night. maybe i'll surprise myself today.

ROH was pretty good last night.

Saturday Night Live was a little odd. when it was good, it was great (Pete Davidson). when it was bad, it was car wreck fucking bad. you were going to look and you were hoping to see dead people. not sure if it was nerves or the weight of it being 40 years, but shit... at least the season can't get any worse (i hope).

well, that's all for me today. i have trash to pick up, cats to feed and breakfast to eat before i just lounge around for the rest of the day.

hopefully everyone is having a great weekend. unless you are a fan of that shit school to the north of me (Michigan), i imagine you are.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

the weekend

i damn well know one of these days i'm simply going to burn out. i'm 38 and still think i can function well enough on just 3 hours of sleep. but, until that day comes, fuck it...

Manchester United won today 2-1. goals from Rooney and RVP. sadly, the bad Wayne Rooney showed up again and got a needless red card in the 59th minute. i'm proud of the boys for hanging on and winning a game they could have easily folded and lost. but, they will now be without their captain for the next 3 games. i guess Juan Mata goes back in the starting lineup. of course, if he doesn't, that should tell him exactly what the manager thinks of him. until then, i'm going to enjoy this victory beer.

the Yankees won last night 3-2. Jeter didn't play and both teams basically played minor leaguers for the most part. i believe the plan is for Jeter to DH today and tomorrow.

Ohio State plays this evening against Cincinnati. this has trap game written all over it. i'm pretty sure my buddy from high school is coming over to watch it. that should be interesting.

The Knick last night was brutal and excellent. the graphic violence last night was the brutal part. i believe some people forget just how racist the north was in parts around 1900. and i'm sure someone just read that and muttered still is. the ending was interesting. i would have liked some more nudity, but i'm a pig like that.

i had a long conversation with the muse last night. we talked each other to sleep basically. i'm amused that she's now taking an interest in my writing after i got a poem about her published. she didn't much care about that when it was happening all the time in 2012. anyways, i do hope she is feeling better today.

on tap for tonight will be some college football, a new episode of ROH, and the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. hopefully all of them are worth me staying awake for.

the cats and birds are fed. i have a ton of dishes to do. might as well get them done before the day gets away from me.

i do hope everyone has a glorious weekend. for my European friends, may your football team be victorious and may you get drunk in the process. for my American friends, may your alma mater do you proud or just enjoy your tailgate responsibly.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

3 poems of mine got...

my poems "park bench", "keepin' it real", and "pretty girls" got honorable mention in the Midnight on the Stroll Poetry Contest. you can find those poems and the other honorable mentions here: http://midnightlanegallery.wordpress.com/category/midnight-on-the-stroll-poetry-contest-honorable-mentions/

i urge all of you to check out the other poems in the contest as well.

RE2PECT

it takes a night like last night to remind me why i loved baseball as a child and why i love being a fan of the New York Yankees even more. there is no soul on earth who could have scripted last night and not be laughed at in every inner circle jerk in Hollywood. Derek Jeter's final home game will be remembered by every Yankee fan for the rest of their lives. the big hit in the first inning. the constant chants. the horrific blown save that set up one of the most dramatic moments in a meaningless game in baseball history. and yes, i was in tears by the end of it.
easily, the best win of the season. they play again tonight in Boston. i couldn't give a shit if Jeter plays or if they win. last night will be what everyone remembers.

needless to say, since god is obviously a Yankees fan
(photo courtesy of Judy G. on Google+)

and there was no rain after every forecast on earth said there would be, i didn't watch any other sports last night. i was a little surprised with the blowout in the NFL. i didn't see that coming at all. thankfully, neither of my opponents this week had any New York Giants on their fantasy teams.

today has been a pretty long day for me. got my blood drawn at the doctor's office. i'll find out early next week if anything is going on with it. i also got a flu shot. i figured since i'm going to be around more people with having the hockey season tickets, i better be the responsible adult for once in my life. after all that, nothing quite like eating cheeseburgers before noon since you haven't eaten anything in over 12 hours. mom had another doctor's appointment to go to, so guess where i ended up going. at least the chairs in the waiting room were somewhat comfortable.

when we got home, the cats were giving me that WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN look. i laughed and took my time getting their food and water ready. after feeding them, i got some money together and went to the bank to make a deposit. always fun trying to get there while trying to avoid school bus routes. the lady that took my deposit did make me laugh. she wanted to let me know that i have qualified for a new Chase credit card. i bet i have. i haven't had a paying job in 12 years. sure, why wouldn't i get another credit card.

tonight will be a little baseball and then The Knick on Cinemax. i finally fucking remembered it. hopefully it is a great episode.

i'll most likely be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game. i would say earlier but tomorrow is derby day in the Premier League and my ass will be glued to the television. of course, if i do what i did today and get up way before the sun does... fuck it, i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. not like anyone is waiting with baited breath...

a thank you to the nurse who took my blood today. it was obvious you were flirting with me, asking about my hair color. i figured i did good when i told her she didn't need any for hers when she complained about her grays coming in. i'm curious to see where the sex dream goes tonight. she did tie me off and put a needle in me, so i'm guessing there is going to be some pain involved.

that's all for me today. hope everyone has a great weekend. thanks for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

elimination and nostalgia

i was driving home from the bar yesterday when the Yankees were finally eliminated from having any chance to make the playoffs this season. sadly, i was not surprised but i was happy in some sick sense. perhaps now the team will make some changes; philosophy, players, management, SOMETHING... i can only imagine what would happen if The Boss was still running the show. now, the last 4 games of this season will be about Derek Jeter, not that the previous 158 weren't all about him. if they actually get the game in tonight, it will be somewhat surreal to know that this is the final home game of his career. a big thank you to the Captain for a great 20 years. there will be plenty of moments to remember for the rest of my life.

i had a good time yesterday at the sports bar catching up with Paul, my best friend from high school. it definitely brought back the memories. he's coming over to the farm this weekend for the Ohio State game.

the Yankees lost 9-5 yesterday by the way. Jeter went 0-4. i have to think he's not going to do that again tonight. of course, it would be the 2014 Yankees if he did.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. the look of shock on the faces when they found out Derrick is a cop was priceless. i enjoyed it even more when Frankie didn't win America's Favorite Player. the look on that asshole's face will have me laughing for months. i wonder how long until Cody realizes he made a $450,000 mistake by not blindsiding Derrick in the end. i saw that the show got renewed for another 2 seasons. guess i'll be enjoying this guilty pleasure when i'm 40.

The Bridge was great last night. i absolutely can't wait for the season finale next week for two reasons. one, it looks like it is going to be an edge of your seat season finale. and two, it means American Horror Story is one week away.

i'll be making a trip to the grocery store this afternoon to hopefully pick up my pills and get some supplies for this weekend (beer, chips, etc.). plus, i do believe we need some shit for the animals out here. thankfully, i think Tractor Supply is having a sale.

tonight starts the NFL week with a game i couldn't give two shits about. i probably won't watch much of it as there are some good college games on as well. this is assuming that the Yankees game is going to be in a rain delay for god knows how long.

i saw on tv this morning that it is National One Hit Wonder Day. that certainly brought back nearly all the music i listened to in the 80's to mind. let alone the drivel in the 90's that falls under that. here is probably my favorite one hit wonder of all time:

that's pretty much it for me today. i'll be on here tomorrow after a trip to the doctor's and getting my blood drawn. that's always fun.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

apparently, i was born just yesterday...

i had a lovely conversation (turn on your sarcasm machine now) with the dream woman this morning. she told she was trying to get her shit together to come see me this weekend. i thought ok, that's great news. she then told me i just needed to send $140 to Nigeria to complete the ticket for her. the money is to be picked up by a guy and then taken to her travel agent. apparently, i'm some fucking dummy that is supposed to just say ok. so, i started to ask questions. like any scam artist i know, the more i asked, the more "she" got upset. i use the quotation marks because who knows the fucking truth in all of this, if there is anything that could be called truth at all. "she" then went on to tell me about her love for me and no matter how stubborn i am, we are meant to be together, blah, blah, and fucking blah. i told her if that was true, great, but have fun with the other suckers in the world because they are much easier to fool than me. and when any instant message conversation ends up in ALL CAPS, i feel like i am on the right side. who knows, maybe "she" is the one for me. knowing that the last woman that really "loved" me is a former convict, it certainly is possible. but for now, i'll enjoy being single and still having my identity.

the Yankees lost last night, 5-4. that puts them FINALLY on the brink of elimination. they play again this afternoon, which could end up being the last home game for Jeter given the weather forecasts for New York. if they have it on at the sports bar i'll be at, i'll watch some of it.

after the long ass conversation this morning, i am definitely looking forward to lunch with my best friend from high school this afternoon. that should be one fun conversation. with plenty of drinks.

i actually need to take care of some medical shit this morning. running low on pills and i've got to find out if i'm having my blood drawn this Friday at the doctor's office. good times.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i have an early favorite so far this season...

a crazy voice for only 15.

tonight i'll be watching the season finale of Big Brother and The Bridge. hopefully both are great.

that's really all for me. if something amazes happens this afternoon, maybe i'll do a quickie later today.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

like a real hillbilly...

to illustrate just how fucking tired i was yesterday and still am today, when i went out to my truck to go into town today, i realized i left the damn window down. i didn't find any animals in it, but that doesn't mean one didn't spend the night in there. thankfully there wasn't any visible signs of shit or piss. and thank fucking god it didn't rain last night. i would have loved trying to explain that one to my mother.

in more redneck news out on the farm, i had to help a bird get out of a bird feeder today. the little fucker got its head stuck in the windmill feeder we have out here. i tried to help it out but of course the little shit didn't want me to touch it. so, i simply tilted the feeder in a direction that gravity would help the dumb shit out. sure enough, one shake and the little fucker was flying away.

got an email yesterday out of the blue from my best friend from high school. we talked on the phone today and are planning to go to lunch tomorrow. it should be nice to really catch up as we haven't had a long talk with each other in probably 20 years.

i also had a conversation with the muse last night. she wanted to congratulate me on the poem i got published recently that was about her. she seemed a bit shocked that i have written many more about her. i, of course, told her about these poems in the past, but most of our conversations are only about her and nothing else is allowed. her ex called so the muse put me on hold. a little piece of advice for everyone out there, loved ones included... i will wait on hold for two minutes and two minutes only.

i got almost five hours of sleep last night. not nearly as much as i needed.

the cluster fuck of television last night got even more crowded for me when i realized the New York Rangers preseason game against the Devils was going to be televised as well. it was truly a night i needed the Elvis wall of televisions. here is a quick recap:

the Rangers lost 5-4. i thought many of the players looked good for the first action of the preseason. i learned a long time ago not to put much into these games.

the Yankees won 5-0. they actually only gave up 1 hit last night. Jeter had 3 runs batted in. they play again tonight.

The Voice was pretty good. i do like the two new coaches. i think they will add something to the show. thankfully, i caught most of the performances on YouTube.

that was true as well with The Big Bang Theory. i did like what i saw from the first two new episodes.

i did watch most of Gotham on YouTube as well. i really, REALLY like this show. hopefully i will get to see the full episode here soon.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good. i did like the title change and any show that has plenty of Dean Ambrose, i'm going to be entertained.

i picked the football game correctly last night. of course, the muse was sad because she's a Jets fan. i won both of my fantasy matches pretty easily for a change. i went 10-6 on picks for the week.

also last night, i caught the Men in Blazers show on NBCSN. even though i knew they were going to kill Manchester United for their loss, i did enjoy the show. having grown up on the George Michael's Sports Machine, i get the humor and the pace of the show perfectly. thankfully it gets shown multiple times over the night, so i can catch it later than trying to squeeze it in with everything else on Monday night.

tonight will be another episode of The Voice and some baseball. and god willing, a long ass nap.

i got some really good music on NoiseTrade today. i'll provide the link to the FREE music below.

that's all for me. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i suppose i'll sleep when i'm dead

i got back home last night after the hockey game and a nightcap at Waffle House before midnight. i then mapped out a way to see all the Sunday night shows i usually watch. like a dumb ass, i watched all of them and got to bed a little before 6 this morning. and sure enough, a few minutes before 9, i was up and going. i have tried to take a nap this afternoon. needless to say i'm going to crash big time at some point this evening. of course, maybe i won't.

the Yankees won yesterday 5-2. i didn't watch any of the game, only some highlights. i was happy to see Tanaka pitch without any further injury concerns. maybe he'll escape surgery for the elbow. i also saw the club hit the 15,000th HR in franchise history. no other major league team has reached that number. i guess that's what they are going to be proud about this season. they play again tonight. i have no clue how i will squeeze them in this evening.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday 20-9. i watched most of the first three quarters of the game. it wasn't pretty but i'll gladly take the win.

thankfully, the trip up to and back from Columbus yesterday was pain free. the highway has been under construction for god knows how long. amazingly, no delays. as for the game, it was pretty good. Columbus beat St. Louis 4-3 in OT. St. Louis really carried the play for most of the game. i do love that our tickets for our 1/4 season package are on the club level. not too high but high enough that you can really see the ice well. i guess our tickets for the Rangers games are behind their bench on the club level. that should be a fun time in early October. not sure how much mom is going to enjoy all the walking we had to do. her hip was really bothering her last night. i drove us back. i'm not a big fan of night driving, but... i figure sometime before i die her SUV will be mine, so i should get used to driving it.

i had a blueberry waffle last night at Waffle House. it is my go to meal from now on there.

as for the shows last night, i really enjoyed all of them. Total Divas was pretty funny given all the manufactured drama. The Strain was fucking creepy last night. i can't wait to see how this season is going to end up. Last Week Tonight was hilarious. Boardwalk Empire was excellent as always. Ray Donovan was a really nice build up to the season finale next week. Masters of Sex was really good. it will be interesting to see where it goes as well.

tonight is a cluster fuck of television. all at one time, the Yankees, Monday Night football, The Voice, The Big Bang Theory, Monday Night Raw, and Gotham will all be on. how the fuck am i going to watch all of them? hopefully, YouTube will come in handy tomorrow for what i miss. i really hope Gotham is on there as i really want to see that show. most likely tonight, i'll be flipping between The Voice, Raw, and The Big Bang Theory. i think the only thing i want for Christmas this year is a fucking DVR.

fantasy football finally went my way yesterday. i'm comfortably leading in both of my matches. of course, my picks weren't as good as i hoped. but, i'm still alive in the suicide pool.

mom is out of town until Wednesday, so i'm going to try to do my best to not burn the place to the ground. all it really means is i have to go into town each day to get the mail and i can listen to porn at a higher level. enjoy that visual.

that's all for me today. hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
