hello arthritis, is that you there?

so i was out in the yard today doing some work, feeding the birds, etc. when i started to feel my left hip tighten up. i thought, oh great. i got back inside and started to stretch it out the best i could. with each rotation of my left hip, i could feel a crack, something like when you crack your knuckles on your fingers. my right hip doesn't make this sound. i figure, arthritis is setting up in my left hip. so a bad left hip and bone spurs in my right ankle. i guess my body is telling me if i would like to stand i will do so in pain. good times.

as i was trying to fall asleep last night, i had a poem pop in my head. i know it's a good sign when i can make myself laugh at a poem even before i write it down. so after writing the poem and watching a little porn, it was off to bed for almost 4 hours of sleep. i knew that 7 i got the night before was a mirage.

Manchester United got the lead early in the second half yesterday and then Swansea's coach decided to change tactics and United was caught sleeping or simply enjoying their arrogance. 2 goals in 5 minutes by Swansea and that was the difference of the game. that's three straight losses to that team. unacceptable. and today it looks like 3 or 4 or 5 players are leaving and who the fuck knows is coming in. i will be so damn happy when this transfer window is fucking closed.

thankfully, the New York Yankees lifted my spirits with an absolute ass whipping of the Braves, 20-6. that completes the sweep and the first half of this road trip. hopefully they will keep the runs coming tonight in Boston.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Big Brother had some more creative and sloppy editing by CBS. The Strain was outstanding last night. sadly, the climax of the show was coming right as the guy was throwing the no-hitter out in Los Angeles. thank god for the DVR. Ray Donovan was excellent last night, as was Masters of Sex. i did watch a bit of the VMA's last night, mostly just to feel fucking old. i do listen to some of the music of today. but some of it is just complete shit. but, i will never name names as i like to think of myself as someone trying to "create" and the last thing i want is someone to come and shit on my parade. and sadly, the beat to the new Miley Cyrus song is actually really fucking good. i can't believe i just typed that.

some music kids, i'll be over here listening to Slayer:

and now, some of this and that:

tonight is going to be flipping between some baseball and Monday Night Raw. hopefully both are good.

that's all for me today. this week is supposed to be the warmest week of the summer. that figures, all the kids are back in school. almost makes me miss the classes i had in the old building with no air conditioning. almost.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

response from Napalm and Novocain

i heard back from A.J. at Napalm and Novocain on my poetry submission from back in May. my poems "ghosts creeping in the back of your mind", "these hands used to make you smile" and "two in the morning" have been accepted for publication. they are scheduled to be published on August 31st.

response from Pyrokinection

i heard back from A.J. at Pyrokinection on my poetry submission from back in May. my poem "a need to know the truth" has been accepted for publication. it is scheduled to be published on September 2nd.

response from Yellow Mama

i heard back from Cindy at Yellow Mama on my recent poetry submission. my poems "the nightmare of your life" and "the horrors of childhood" have been accepted for publication. they are scheduled to appear in issue #53 (Dec. 15th).

leave it up to the rain...

when i was watching tv last night and these flood warnings started popping up, i was like what the fuck... i went to look outside and nothing was going on. well, when i woke up at 7 this morning and every part of my body was stiff (sick minds), i knew it had to have rained overnight. sure enough, everything outside looked that extra deep shade of green when something in the summer becomes waterlogged. hopefully the sun comes out at some point today, mostly because i'd like to know if the cheap ass solar lights we got yesterday actually work or not.

outside of the sadness from last night's Yankees game (click here for the report on a fan falling to his death), i was very happy to see Severino pitch so well once again. he's definitely turning into a pitcher the team can rely on down the stretch. the offense provided just enough and the bullpen shut the door late. 3-1 win to stay 1 1/2 games behind Toronto in the division. they go for the sweep this afternoon.

ROH was excellent last night. i know it really was as i was tired as fuck and it kept me up for the entire hour. i especially liked Cheeseburger winning and the main event was great. next week should be even better.

alright kids, time for some music:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United plays Swansea today. seeing that they lost to them twice last season, hopefully today is a bit of revenge.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex and The Strain.

i might watch a bit of the New Orleans Saints today. i'm not a big fan of the NFL preseason, but since my fantasy draft is fast approaching, i need to watch in case of injuries.

other than that, today will be mostly soccer, resting, helping around the house and hopefully enjoying multiple victory beers.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. plenty of time left to save it in case yesterday was one for the shitter. besides, a good Sunday usually involves getting drunk and pissing off someone. at least that's how i remember my 20's.

humoring the humans

i went out shopping with my mother this morning. it turned into a 4 store marathon that took up most of the day. it would have been a great day if my ankle wouldn't have given out on me in the grocery store. of course, there was rain in the area at the time, so i'm figuring that was the culprit. but, before that happened, i did get an insanely beautiful woman to smile at me, so there's a few poems right there.

speaking of poems, i heard back from Hobo Camp Review on my submission from yesterday. one poem came really close but they decided to pass on the bunch. oh well.

the New York Yankees exploded last night, beating the Braves 15-4. hopefully they didn't use up all the offense in one game. they need to get on a run here on this road trip. they play again tonight.

NJPW and Treehouse Masters were both excellent last night. the house they built was magnificent. if i had $200,000 to piss away on a treehouse, that would be the one i would get.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

i signed up for 3 fantasy football leagues last night. 1 on NFL.com and 2 on CBSSports.com. as always, my goal is to win 3 championships. but, i will love if i can have another year of at least winning one.

my sister is going to shit with what my mother and i got her for her birthday this year.

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. other than that, i'll probably catch up on all of the soccer i missed today. i did see two teams that i detest both lost today, so that brightens my day a bit.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow in the morning, before Manchester United plays. since both they and the Yankees are playing in the day, i figure i'll get my lazy ass busy early. i damn near got 7 hours of sleep last night. that's almost like 2 days worth for me. so i imagine i'll be up late tonight. maybe i'll get some writing done.

i hope everyone is having a great Saturday. may the drinks be cold, the sex hot but not disease type hot, hopefully the music is loud and you have no care for tomorrow. as i explained to my mother today, when you are on the back side of the circle, what the fuck do you have to lose?

slogging through the pain

i've been achy all day long. but, there's shit to do, so, as usual, just ignore the fucking pain and move on. i'm sure one day this will catch up with me. but, luckily for me, i'm not interested in living forever.

i sent out 15 poems today. 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash, 4 to Hobo Camp Review and 3 each to Yellow Mama and Dead Snakes. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdict.

first up for Flashback Friday is my poem "beautiful devastation" from back in 2012. well, it was published then, but i'm pretty sure i wrote it back in 2010. you can find that poem by going here: http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/100s/issue137beautifuldevastat.html

next up is my poem "longwinded". this is from back in 2005. this poem has Janne Karlsson animation written all over it. you can find the poem by going here:
http://www.myfavoritebullet.com/Campbell_longwinded.html

and while we're on poetry, here's one from one of my favorites:

Big Brother went as i expected last night. John got evicted and then walked right back into the house. sadly though, Vanessa is the new HOH. but, there's another double eviction coming up so this could be their chance to finally get her out.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. so was Married.

tonight on the DVR will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters. i will be watching the New York Yankees play down in Atlanta, at least until they start playing like shit and i find something else to watch.

and now some music:

and now some other random shit:

that's all for me today. i really hope everyone enjoys their weekends. call if you need bail money or help burying the bodies.

it must have been the full moon

i was trying to get to sleep last night when the words started to bombard me. finally, i got out of bed and started to write. the first poem was a silly one. the second one was basically a call for anarchy. that should be a fun one to try to get published. i typed them up this morning and actually did a little poetry work. i've got a big submission planned for tomorrow, most likely. i know i want to get these poems out before the end of the month.

after that, i basically drank myself to sleep. good times. of course, my bone spurs have been killing me all day long. killing me to the point where i have more or less stayed in bed all day long. i'll have to get one of those wireless keyboards and see if i can actually write this blog from bed. it's not easy for me to find a comfortable spot for my foot when i'm sitting here. of course, here comes my mantra charging into the room. FIND THE PLEASURE IN THE PAIN YOU PUSSY.

the New York Yankees have hit the shit streak once again, losing yesterday 6-2. they are now in danger of pissing away the wildcard lead. thankfully, they are off today. they start a series in Atlanta tomorrow. oh goody, national league baseball.

thankfully, Manchester United saved my sporting life yesterday with a dominant 4-0 win to advance to the Champions League on the aggregate of 7-1. everyone, let's welcome Wayne Rooney back to the world. he scored a hat trick yesterday for the first time in European play since 2004. i was very pleased with this result.
today was the Champions League draw. i was scared to death that United was going to end up in a shitty group. thankfully, that didn't happen. they are in a group where they will have a legitimate chance to win.
hopefully this is the year that the trophies come back home.

Big Brother was good last night. i'm pretty sure that John will get evicted tonight and then walk right back in as the people in the jury house will have a chance to come back in the game tonight. or maybe he wants to just hang out with Becky for the rest of the summer and they let Shelli win. it should make for interesting enough television that i forget about the pain in my ankle.

NXT was good, at times, last night. i really enjoyed the opening match. that was fun. but the rest of the show was so much hit and miss that i totally understand why there was so much recorded material and flashbacks used. the tag team tournament starts next week, so that should be something fresh.

time for some music kids:
hard to believe it's been 25 years since he died. i remember exactly where i was when i heard the news. in my high school sweetheart's apartment watching the television when a breaking news report came on. i was in shock and started to cry. anytime i hear one of his songs, it takes me back to my teens and the thrill of finding music that just blew your fucking mind. SRV always lets me tap into something in the dark part of my heart and allow a little light down there. hopefully you're playing somewhere tonight.

and now the uncomfortable transition to some other shit:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married.

i think the weather is supposed to take a turn back to summer again. the temps are supposed to be in the upper 80's soon. so much for football weather.

i got some great music on NoiseTrade late last night for FREE. i will include the link below in the music section.

hopefully i can stand the pain long enough to get those poems out tomorrow and probably do some grocery shopping as well. the old mind over matter jedi tricks i guess. either that or the rest of the Jager i have. either should work.

that's all for me today. i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. maybe the worm turns tonight and i get on here in the morning. or maybe not.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

tossing and turning

so i was picking up the trash after i ate dinner last night. by the time i was done taking it out to the curb, the Yankees were already down 5-0. needless to say, i didn't pay much attention to the game the rest of the night. they eventually lost 15-1. when your best pitcher is an infielder, you know it was a truly shitty night. they play again this afternoon. hopefully they have last night out of their system.

WWE Tough Enough went about how i thought it would. all 4 of the matches were better than i thought they were going to be. that's mostly because of Cesaro and Alicia Fox. Amanda should have won, but lost because she decided to play a heel. hopefully Sara Lee invests that money wisely, for i have no doubts she will never make it as a wrestler. as for the men, i was very happy to see Josh destroy ZZ in the voting. Josh will be a star in this business before too long. i wouldn't be shocked to see him doing shit down in NXT in a few months. all in all, i wish more of the episodes were like this one and actually featured wrestling instead of the bullshit drama.

speaking of bullshit drama, that brings me to Total Divas. i'm at the point now i just watch it for how horrifically bad it is. this should sum last night's episode up perfectly:

Tyrant last night was excellent. i can't wait for the season finale next week.

Hard Knocks was basically exactly how i saw it written about on the internet. it is more or less football porn starring J.J. Watt. and last night was money shot after money shot. i will admit though, the rookie skits were excellent. next week i'll get to see some of my New Orleans Saints on the show.

i was more or less tossing and turning all night. i was up at 4 to take a piss. and then i had some fucking weird ass dream of my basement as a child being robbed by Tibetan monks while Blur played in the background. i have no fucking clue what it means, though it does have poem written all over it.

time for some music kids:

and now some this and that:

Manchester United plays this afternoon for their chance to make the group stage of the Champions League. they are up 3-1 going into the road game. i figure if they can score early and often, the game should be over by the end of the first half. hopefully that is how it goes.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother. i'm really interested to see NXT tonight as they will be showing everything they didn't show last Saturday night in Brooklyn. and for shits and giggles, i'll probably watch ROH again.

i believe there is some moisture in the air as my back and bone spurs have been cranky all fucking day. the shitty sleep didn't help much at all either.

after seeing that shooting on live television this morning, there is a good chance pen will be hitting paper later today for me. plus, my sister isn't taking the stock market tanking that well. thank god i don't have rich people problems.

hope everyone is enjoying their hump day. (insert your favorite perverted line here)

a fun little trip to nostalgia

Monday Night Raw was good last night. it wasn't good for the reasons i was hoping for, instead it was good for a few shocking surprises. first off, one of my favorite tag teams of all time:
i could live with Jon Stewart's reason for turning heel, he didn't want Cena to tie Ric Flair's World Championship number. trust me, none of us want Cena to hit that mark. so, in true John Cena fashion, this is how he shows the kids how to deal with your problems:
and people wonder why i don't like this fucking hypocrite.

i thought the rest of the show was pretty good but the ending had a true HOLY SHIT moment that the wrestling fan from my youth truly loved:
all in all, not a bad show. that was a fun little wrestling weekend.

the New York Yankees won last night, 1-0. they got some great pitching and were fortunate to have the right hitter up when the bases were loaded in the bottom of the 9th. they are now tied for first place in the division. they play again tonight against Houston's best pitcher. could be a long one.

got some great music for FREE today on NoiseTrade. i will include the link below in the music section.

and speaking of music:

most of the late night shows are in reruns this week, so instead of focusing on humor, i will do a hodgepodge of random shit i like:
i'm pretty sure that is an accurate portrayal of my childhood.

tonight on the DVR will be the season finale of WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Tyrant and Hard Knocks. hopefully i will be enjoying those with a victory beer.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game in Belgium. i'm hoping i will be in a great mood as this is their chance to make the group stage of the Champions League.

hope everyone is in high spirits. or maybe just high. i had an odd thought while i was taking a shower today. just thank god that i really don't have any desire to do heroin. at least not now.

and on that mysterious note, i bid everyone a fond adieu

a long, draining weekend

after thinking about it for a few hours, SummerSlam last night was a decent ppv that had a shitty finish and could have been so much better. the controversial finish between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar was stupid. i suppose this was all to set up another match down the line. if that was the best way WWE creative could up with, then i will send in my application tomorrow. i did like Jon Stewart turning heel and helping Seth Rollins defeat John Cena. i loved how no one on the broadcast said anything about the incredibly loud Thank You Stewart chants. i also enjoyed Kevin Owens defeating Cesaro. that match was great, it was just in the wrong spot on the card. the divas match had no flow in it at all. The New Day have won me over. they are playing the perfect heels. overall, as i figured, it wasn't as good as the NXT event the night before. and it went on for about 90 minutes too long. here's the thoughts of some more qualified people:

Monday Night Raw should be interesting. i figure the WWE will have a few tricks up their sleeves given all the publicity from last night. hopefully the third show from the same venue in 3 days goes out with a bang.

while i was watching wrestling last night, we had some rain come through. so imagine my surprise as i was watching the Sunday night shows and there was certain parts missing from the shows. thankfully, i was able to find most of them on the channels, so i didn't miss much. Big Brother was good. some more creative editing by CBS. the season finales of Ballers and The Brink went as i expected. neither show is "great". The Strain was fucking awesome last night. Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex were both really good. and as usual, Last Week Tonight was great once again:

i don't know what it is with the Yankees inability to beat last place teams, but it happened once again yesterday. and this time, it knocked them out of first place again. a 4-3 loss to a Cleveland team that is playing a ton of guys who no one has heard of before. as one headline writer put it, at least the ceremony was good. i was interested to see if Andy Pettitte was going to mention his HGH use at any point of his speech. he didn't, which didn't surprise me. i think most people have allowed themselves to forget about it. the Yankees play the first place Astros tonight, so maybe they will play like they are playing against a good team. i'm not holding my breath.

i'm currently watching Liverpool and Arsenal play. yet another game where i hope both teams lose.

i was a busy boy on NoiseTrade today. i got some great music for FREE. i'll include the links below in the music section.

since we're on the topic of music, enjoy:

and to round out the creative vibe, some art and some poetry:

on the DVR tonight will be Men in Blazers.

my 2 poems in Storm Cycle 2014 (Kind of a Hurricane Press)

my poems "reflection" and "open swing" have been published in the Storm Cycle 2014 Anthology by Kind of a Hurricane Press. for more info on the anthology, go here:
http://www.kindofahurricanepress.com/2015/08/2014-storm-cycle-best-of-kind-of.html

a little writing and a little morning sweat

i wrote 4 poems yesterday, completely out of the blue. those 4 poems actually filled up the notebook i've been writing in for the last 15 months. i typed them up and i have to admit, i really like these 4. i will probably include them in my next round of submissions, which i hope to get out before the end of the month.

i guess a little nostalgia helped the New York Yankees yesterday. after the retirement of Jorge Posada's #20, they actually scored some runs for their rookie pitcher. congrats to Severino on his first MLB win as the Yankees won 6-2. they will go for the split in the series today after the retirement ceremony for Andy Pettitte. his #46 will be going into Monument Park.

the wrestling last night was excellent. ROH was great. so great that i'm recording it again today. NXT Takeover: Brooklyn was off the charts great. the women's match between Sasha Banks and Bayley was one of the best women's matches i have ever seen. the storytelling was incredible. i felt sorry for Finn Balor and Kevin Owens to have to go after that one. but the lasting image of this event will be what happened after the women's match.
these 4 ladies are the revolution and i have no doubt they will all succeed in this business. i doubt tonight's SummerSlam will come close to NXT last night. although, i wouldn't mind being wrong about that.

also on the DVR last night was the Austin City Limits performance from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. always good to have that one on hand just in case i need some inspiration.

enjoy some music and a kick ass poem perfect for a Sunday:

other than SummerSlam tonight, on my DVR will be the season finales of The Brink and Ballers; The Strain, Ray Donovan, Big Brother, Masters of Sex and Last Week Tonight. i have no clue when i will get around to watching all of them.

i helped mom this morning do some work in the flower beds and then put up some shelves in the garage. that certainly helped getting some shit off of the floor in the garage. plus, it will now force mom to go through the shit out there.

i figure at some point today i need to work in a shower and a nap. wrestling is going to be 4 hours long tonight, so i would hope not to be an old man and fall asleep before it's over.

that's all for me today kids. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

frustration

i was up at 7 this morning, just like i wanted to be. so far, that was the end of things going the way i wanted. Manchester United dropped 2 points today, partly from a lack of execution and partly because of a blind linesman. they drew with Newcastle 0-0. not exactly the way i wanted to start my weekend. hopefully this shows the higher ups they absolutely need to go buy another striker.

the New York Yankees played like absolute shit last night, losing to Cleveland 7-3. for some fucking reason, this is the year the Yankees play down to their competition. today is the day they retire Jorge Posada's number 20. maybe a little nostalgia will get them a fucking win. the lead in the division is down to 1/2 game once again.

NJPW was excellent last night. both matches were top notch. Treehouse Masters was good last night. i don't know if they know how funny it is when they mention the sponsors. it's so over the top that some people might think they are making fun of them. at least that's how i'm taking it.

a little music:

now a little art, some humor, some food, etc:

the rest of my day is going to be spent watching some sports, putting away groceries, probably helping mom around the house and then settling down to watch NXT Takeover:Brooklyn. i have some high hopes for that show.

and then tomorrow it will basically be rinse and repeat as the Yankees retire Andy Pettitte's number 46 Sunday afternoon and SummerSlam will be Sunday night.

this blog would have been much more entertaining if a certain blind fuck on the sideline in Manchester this morning would have had some fucking clue what offside is.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone enjoys their Saturday. unless the Yankees start to win, my day is basically already gone to shit. good times.

so, i quickly realized last night that the sales wouldn't start until today, so mom and i didn't do any shopping last night. all that really meant was today was going to be one long ass day among the masses. and on top of that, it's my uncle's, my next door neighbor, 80th birthday today. so mom went and got him breakfast and i politely declined to partake in the festivities. after all that was over, we went to Menard's. holy shit, we got a ton of things. we needed some power tools and they had some black and decker shit on sale. plus, we needed some things to help this one tree. what we tried last time didn't do the trick. and we needed some new bird feeders and seed. and while we're here, might as well get some stupid shit as well. i got a black sheep holding a bird and two pink flamingos. now, i was smart as i didn't bring my pills to go out to lunch. that way we had no choice but to go back home. pure calculated evil by me. this way i was able to put up all the shit we got for the outside. plus, it allowed me to get a little sun in the yard and work my legs a bit. of course, after i worked up a sweat, mom wanted to go out to lunch and do some more shopping. i at least changed shirts. after lunch we went to an arts and crafts store. shit was way too expensive but i was able to find a few things i needed and 1 thing i just had to have. whenever you see a clock that is like a Salvador Dali clock and it actually works and is 50% off, that's an automatic get. after that store, mom decided she had enough and wanted to go home. of course, she decided that right at the height of rush hour. so, after some creative driving on my part, we got back home a little after 5. that was more or less 6 or 7 hours out with the masses today. i will have some poems to write. mostly about a stunning blonde in the arts and crafts store and 2 waitresses that looked like absolute jail bait today at lunch. good times.

a little music before i start my flashback:

2 poems today for Flashback Friday. first off, "my misery laughs". you can find this poem by going here: http://thecamelsaloon.blogspot.com/2012/07/my-misery-laughs.html

up next, "saving the world from a future ungrateful bastard". this poem is back from 2005. it all came from a conversation i had with Debbie Kirk. you can find the poem by going here:

and while we're on some poems, here's one i saw this afternoon that made me laugh, cry, etc.:

the New York Yankees tried to rally last night but came up short, losing 3-2. they are currently scoreless tonight. hopefully they can get back to winning.

the shows last night were pretty good. Big Brother went as i expected. Becky got evicted. when i saw the HOH competition was an athletic one, i figured Austin would win. he did. i have no clue if he will try to get Vanessa out now or not. if he does, i figure she will walk right back in with the latest twist that comes on Thursday.

Lip Sync Battle was fucking hilarious. that was a great way to have your season finale.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was pretty good last night. Married really made me laugh.

and let's keep the laughs going:

tonight on the DVR will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

hopefully the new solar light i got will be working this evening. i have tried to turn the outside of this house into a sophisticated white trash utopia. i'm slowly getting there.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. this weekend will be a busy pro wrestling one for me. i will be on here tomorrow sometime after the Manchester United game and hopefully before the Yankees start the retirement ceremony tomorrow afternoon.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

and then reality gets in the way

i'm not in the greatest of moods today. mom had a doctor's appointment this morning so i had to be up early as fuck in case i needed to drive her. she felt good enough to drive, which made me believe that she was doing good. what a fucking fool i am. i'm not happy with what the doctor told her as it means that diabetes is winning the war with her. so, once she gets done with her phone calls this afternoon, i believe we're going shopping at Menard's. i figure she wants to blow off some steam and god knows we need some damn power tools. plus, the light at my computer just fucking died, so i guess i need a new lamp. add on top of that we now have bill collectors calling the house wondering who is in charge of my father's estate. i think some of you thought i was joking when i said i figured given how much my father loved me he was going to leave me with a bill at the end of everything. and you wonder why i have nothing in my name at the moment. i suppose this is another reason i decided not to have children. who would want to put someone else through this horse shit?

the New York Yankees won yesterday 4-3 to sweep the Twins. it was the coming out party for rookie Greg Bird. 2 two run homers, both with 2 outs, to give the Yankees all four runs. he made the Yankees GM look like a fucking genius when he included Bird as one of the untouchable prospects. hopefully they can keep it rolling as the Indians come into the Bronx this evening.

i watched a little of the USA women destroy Costa Rica once again in a soccer friendly. i believe the score was 7-2 this time. here are a few of the goals:

enjoy some music kids:

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i got a good laugh at CBS trying to make people think Vanessa was ever close to going up. that's why i follow the feeds online than just rely on production to show me what is going on. i believe Becky will get evicted tonight. and hopefully, John wins HOH and succeeds in his mission to get Vanessa out of the house.

NXT was really good last night:
i can't wait for the show on Saturday.

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Married and Lip Sync Battle.

before we get to the laughs, i saw this poem late last night and absolutely loved it:

now laugh:

and now 2 things bizarre and completely unrelated:

that's all for me today kids. hopefully i find myself relaxing with a victory beer later tonight, working some poems out on the page. i definitely have some words bubbling at the moment.

don't worry kids, the weekend is near. just a few more hours until the debauchery can begin again.

of course there's going to be a big storm on trash day

i didn't sleep well last night and when i finally got out of bed and checked the news, i figured out why. i have been begging Manchester United to get a player like Pedro from Barcelona, who i really think is the missing piece from the team winning titles again. and i have heard for weeks that the deal was going to happen. so imagine my disgust when i see this morning that he's going to sign with Chelsea. i'm not blaming Chelsea on this, as usual, i'm blaming the Manchester United brass for dragging their fucking feet. now the word is they are most likely not going to bring in anyone else before the transfer window closes. unless they have suddenly decided they are going to give the kids a true chance to play all the time, this makes no fucking sense. i really hope Memphis is the second coming of Cristiano and Beckham rolled into one, for that is what is most likely going to take. talk about thinking you had a lovely evening with a stripper and then you wake up to find your wallet missing and shit in your mouth. enjoy that visual.

i'm a bit cranky as there is this nice big cold front getting read to hit the area and for some reason, the trash hasn't been picked up yet. all i can picture is me chasing down trash cans and recyclables in a fucking storm. good times.

enjoy some music kids:

the shows last night were pretty good. WWE Tough Enough went pretty much how i figured it would. Tanner was sent packing as once again, somehow, ZZ survived another cut. i get the feeling that people are voting for him because they hate the show and they want to see Vince fork over $250,000 to someone that doesn't deserve it. next week is the finale. i hope that Amanda and Josh win as i think both of them have a shot at "making it" in the business.

Total Divas was mindless, as usual. Hard Knocks was pretty good. the season finale of Deadliest Catch was excellent. but the show that really got me last night was Tyrant. the opening scene blew my fucking mind. now, going the coup route once again was a little disappointing to me after they went the same way in season 1, but i'll withhold my judgment until the season is over.

anyone need a laugh?:

the New York Yankees were doing good last night and then CC ran out of gas. trailing 4-1, thankfully the team didn't wait around for some heroics. A-Rod crushed his 25th career grand slam to give the Yankees back the lead. they then scored some tack on runs late to win 8-4. they go for the sweep this afternoon.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and ROH. i am interested to see what happens on NXT tonight on the WWE Network.

that's all for me today. hopefully the rain doesn't last forever today as i would like to take a shower and maybe get some laundry done. i won't do either when there is the chance for thunder and lightning. mostly because i know i will be too busy watching the storm instead of doing whatever else. that's why i really wanted mom to get a house with a great front porch. oh well.

hope everyone has plenty of ice and an endless amount of (insert your drink of choice here) to get you through the day.

i just love failing forward

so i couldn't sleep last night. big surprise. i was on NoiseTrade and amazingly saw the new Dr. Dre album, Compton, on there. i figured it was a mistake, but it was a mistake i was going to take advantage of. and sure enough, i got the entire album for FREE. when i went there this afternoon and saw that the album was nowhere to be found, i simply smiled. life is all about the moments you take advantage of. i'm really happy that i was on the right side of "luck" this time around.

by the way, the album is really fucking good. if you enjoyed west coast "gangsta" rap back in the 90's, you will really enjoy this. it brought me right back to high school. a better memory than it probably should be. but, that's the joy of alcohol and drugs. to think that i did as much as i did and i still graduated with honors, it truly makes me think that most education is a fucking joke. i think i was just able to take tests well and could see through all the bullshit. what you needed to learn for a test and what you needed to learn for life. i'd like to think i won at that game as well.

a little music kids:

Manchester United didn't start out well today, giving up an own goal early in the game. that truly pissed me off as away goals in these competitions mean everything. but thankfully, today was the day that Memphis decided he was going to put on a fucking show. 2 amazing goals that reminded me of some other greats that wore that #7 jersey and a wonderful assist at the death for a very meaningful Fellaini goal. they will take that 3-1 lead to Club Brugge next week. i like their chances to get into the Champions League much better than when they were down 1-0. they next play this Saturday at home against Newcastle. and yes, i did enjoy the victory beer.

the New York Yankees got off to a great start last night. and then the starting pitcher took a liner to the head and the game entered bizzaro land. the Yankees bullpen had to get like 25 outs or something like that, since the game went into extra innings. in a bit of cruel karma, the guy from the Twins that hit the liner that hit the pitcher was the guy who bobbled the ball in the 10th that allowed the Yankees to win 8-7. by the way, he's a former Yankee so everyone on the internet was congratulating him for finally helping the Yankees win. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was very good at times. like this:
or this:
but then you had this kind of shit as well:
i really wanted to like the entire show, but that wasn't even close to being possible. i'm really hoping the SummerSlam ppv this Sunday is going to be much better than just a longer episode of Monday Night Raw.

the Men in Blazers was hilarious last night. that set the night up for some tremendous comedy:

but i'm not done laughing, enjoy:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Hard Knocks, the season finale of Deadliest Catch and Tyrant.

that's all for me today as i have toilets to clean, a house to vacuum and trash to pick up. and i would like to have that all done before the Yankees start in 10 minutes or so. (that's not happening)

i hope everyone has a pulse and is enjoying some sunshine.

a true moment of clarity

as mom was confusing herself with math last night, trying to figure out how the 4 things she wants to hang on the wall in the hallway are going to fit together, it suddenly dawned on her that we actually need a working power drill to hang these things. i was pleasantly shocked. i gladly helped hang some little things last night; stuff that only needed a hammer or just brute force. thankfully, we were done by the time all the Sunday night shows were starting.

Big Brother was good last night. The Brink and Ballers were excellent. their season finales are next week. The Strain was fucking great. Ray Donovan was good. Masters of Sex was good. i also watched that Ed Sheeran special on NBC last night. i enjoyed it, mostly because of the behind the scenes shit. finally, Last Week Tonight hit another home run. John's argument certainly points out all the reasons i gave up on church. enjoy kids:

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 3-1. for some reason the offense doesn't show up when Severino pitches. he's pitched well enough to be 3-0 in his 3 major league starts. oh well. they are still in first place. they start a long home stand tonight against the Twins. it's also the start of Hope Week. hopefully it's like previous hope weeks and the Yankees start a nice long winning streak.

while the Yankees were doing nothing yesterday, i flipped over to watch the USA women absolutely destroy Costa Rica in a soccer friendly. here are 3 of the 8 goals they scored yesterday to win 8-0.

anyone else in the mood for some music:

and for shits and giggles, some art:

tonight on the DVR will be Men in Blazers. i will spend most of tonight watching Monday Night Raw while wishing for the pain from my arthritis to cease for a few minutes. there's been rain in the area all day long and it has been excruciating at times. good times.

i will be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays the first leg of their match in the Champions League. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer while i'm writing tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday. hopefully your whole weekend was good. one of our solar lights died over the weekend. i guess i shouldn't have put it near a plant that produces a sap of sorts. i opened it up thinking i just needed to change the battery. imagine my surprise when everything was covered in this brown goo.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. the link will be below in the music section.
