my imagination is on fire...

i have been up since 6:35 this morning. that probably means i'm going to have a spectacular burnout tonight. joy.

i realized today i wrote 66 damn poems in April. and my first poem wasn't written until April 6th. i took my little notebook along with me this morning for mom's physical therapy session. i wrote 17 poems while there. i wrote one in my head on the way back home. and when i got home, i noticed there was only 3 damn blank pages left to the notebook. so i wrote 3 more at home for a grand total of 21 for today. that means i have written 87 fucking poems in under a month. i can't wait to see how many actually get published.

the weather here today has been great. 80 and not that humid. i actually got outside and filled the bird feeders. i figured i better get some sun while i can.

mom wanted to eat breakfast at First Watch after her physical therapy. it was a little hipster like, but the food was really good. now, it was way more expensive than it should be, but that's the fucking price of anything fresh anymore.

the New York Yankees lost last night at Houston, 2-1. that snapped their winning streak. i'm not expecting them to do well in this series. Houston has the best pitching staff in the majors. and good pitching usually beats good hitting. they play again tonight.

The Voice was really fucking good last night. i have no damn clue who is going home tonight.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. the match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor was great once again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Voice, Deadliest Catch and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

here are your highlights from the NHL and NBA playoffs last night:

at some point this week i do need to get another batch of poems ready to send out. if anyone knows of any place i should be sending to, feel free to send me an email or message me on the blog or at Google Hangouts.

that's all for me today kids.

a rainy Saturday morning

i damn near turned the furnace on last night. i woke up this morning and it was 45 degrees outside. nothing like a cold bathroom floor to wake you the fuck up on a Saturday morning. i'm glad i didn't turn it on as it is supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow. perfect timing to get everyone sick.

NJPW was excellent last night. 2 very good tag team matches.

i think i went to bed pretty early (at least for me) last night. and i think it was one of those rare nights that i found a spot, got comfortable, and was out for more than 5 hours. that sleep should come in handy today as there is a ton of shit i want to watch.

first, time for some music:

watch that Joe Bonamassa video above on YouTube and in the description of the video there is a link to a FREE album with 11 songs spanning Joe's career. of course i downloaded it and it is AMAZING.

now, some of this and that:

the New York Yankees play a doubleheader today in Baltimore. i have no clue if the games will be played, given the weather. if they do get the games in, the Yankees only need 1 win and they will host the wild card game on Tuesday.

Ohio State plays at Indiana this afternoon. this will be a test for them, as on the road in the Big Ten always is. i doubt this will be a game they can put away by halftime. but, i would love for them to have a comfortable lead going into the 4th so it's not a possible, oh shit, here comes an upset game.

tonight on the DVR will be American Sniper, ROH and Saturday Night Live. i think NBC is also showing a Saturday Night Live documentary, i'll record that as well. i'll be watching the WWE event from Madison Square Garden tonight on the WWE Network. it looks like it should be really good.

i did a few things outside before the rain started this morning. just as i was coming in from the garage i could hear mom say oh shit, the squad is coming. i looked out the window as both of us thought the paramedics were going to my uncle's house. she got on the phone but thankfully the paramedics were going to the house next door to my uncle. it didn't look like anything serious. mom then wondered if this is what it's like at my sister's condo as she also lives around a bunch of old people. i said no, the only people my sister sees is the coroner. nothing like some dark humor to start off the day.

i figure since it's going to rain all day long, i'll be in my chair all day long, hoping my back and body don't hurt too much. there's plenty of college football and soccer from Europe to keep me busy until tonight.

i hope that everyone has a great Saturday. hopefully the weather is better where you are. i'll be on here tomorrow in the morning before Manchester United takes on Arsenal.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

a long, draining weekend

after thinking about it for a few hours, SummerSlam last night was a decent ppv that had a shitty finish and could have been so much better. the controversial finish between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar was stupid. i suppose this was all to set up another match down the line. if that was the best way WWE creative could up with, then i will send in my application tomorrow. i did like Jon Stewart turning heel and helping Seth Rollins defeat John Cena. i loved how no one on the broadcast said anything about the incredibly loud Thank You Stewart chants. i also enjoyed Kevin Owens defeating Cesaro. that match was great, it was just in the wrong spot on the card. the divas match had no flow in it at all. The New Day have won me over. they are playing the perfect heels. overall, as i figured, it wasn't as good as the NXT event the night before. and it went on for about 90 minutes too long. here's the thoughts of some more qualified people:

Monday Night Raw should be interesting. i figure the WWE will have a few tricks up their sleeves given all the publicity from last night. hopefully the third show from the same venue in 3 days goes out with a bang.

while i was watching wrestling last night, we had some rain come through. so imagine my surprise as i was watching the Sunday night shows and there was certain parts missing from the shows. thankfully, i was able to find most of them on the channels, so i didn't miss much. Big Brother was good. some more creative editing by CBS. the season finales of Ballers and The Brink went as i expected. neither show is "great". The Strain was fucking awesome last night. Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex were both really good. and as usual, Last Week Tonight was great once again:

i don't know what it is with the Yankees inability to beat last place teams, but it happened once again yesterday. and this time, it knocked them out of first place again. a 4-3 loss to a Cleveland team that is playing a ton of guys who no one has heard of before. as one headline writer put it, at least the ceremony was good. i was interested to see if Andy Pettitte was going to mention his HGH use at any point of his speech. he didn't, which didn't surprise me. i think most people have allowed themselves to forget about it. the Yankees play the first place Astros tonight, so maybe they will play like they are playing against a good team. i'm not holding my breath.

i'm currently watching Liverpool and Arsenal play. yet another game where i hope both teams lose.

i was a busy boy on NoiseTrade today. i got some great music for FREE. i'll include the links below in the music section.

since we're on the topic of music, enjoy:

and to round out the creative vibe, some art and some poetry:

on the DVR tonight will be Men in Blazers.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. the weather is supposed to take a turn towards the fall in the next few days. that means we're getting closer to me driving myself even more crazy with fantasy football. good times.

mother should i build a wall

knock on wood about a thousand times, but it looks like the shitty (pun intended) health i had for the last 48 hours has finally passed on. yesterday evening i finally started to feel better and could eat without racing to the toilet within seconds. hopefully, it was just a bug that i had. and hopefully something i don't get again for a long time.

the Yankees lost last night 5-4. CC struggled which sadly is the norm now. they came back to tie the score but committed the baseball sin of giving up runs right after you score. when that happens, nine times out of ten, the baseball gods will rule against you. oh well. they play again this afternoon in the rubber match of the series.

Saturday Night Live was a bit flat for me last night. there was a couple of really funny moments but nothing that was holy shit, that was funny. i'm actually amazed i stayed up for all of it.

ROH was excellent last night. you can never go wrong anytime Kevin Steen and The Briscoes are involved.

Manchester United drew 1-1 today with Southampton. not sure why they started so badly today, but United played much better in the second half. they couldn't finish worth a shit today. Juan Mata had a beautiful free kick that tied the score. thankfully, this season is over and there will be no European football at Old Trafford next season for the first time in a quarter century. hopefully they hire the right man for the rebuilding job.

tonight will be utter chaos for me. the New York Rangers play a MUST WIN game 6. somehow, after that i'm going to try to fit in the normal Sunday night shows with the addition of the show i am really looking forward to, Penny Dreadful. i have high hopes for that one. if i do pull this off, i'll be up until about 4 in the morning. lovely. that's the joy of DIRECTV, i get all the west coast feeds of HBO and Showtime.

hope everyone is having a wonderful Mother's Day. that is all for me today as i believe i'm going to try to nap most of the afternoon. my mother seemed to enjoy what i got her. or at least she acted like she did. i'll be on tomorrow in the afternoon i suppose.

peace and chicken grease my enemies...
