the dog days are over

i woke up this morning and it was 47 degrees outside. finally, it's starting to feel like football weather. i'll just ignore that it's supposed to be back in the 80's in a few days, i'm simply just going to try to enjoy this today. i filled some of the bird feeders with the new seed we got the other day. i've never used safflower seeds before, so i'm sort of interested to see what the birds do with them. we decided to use them because squirrels apparently don't like them. hopefully skunks don't either.

the New York Yankees basically decided they don't want to win the division yesterday. the Blue Jays swept the doubleheader 9-5 and 10-7. the Yankees pissed away a few chances in the first game to actually win and then decided to just give the Blue Jays the game in the 11th inning by walking everyone possible it felt like. the second game was never as close as the score showed. the lost weekend continues today as the Blue Jays go for the sweep. thank god i will be watching something else.

Ohio State was as flat as possible yesterday. you could tell they had just played on Monday and was still feeling it. but, to show just how good this Ohio State team really is, playing flat gets them a 38-0 win over Hawaii. the defense truly ruled the day. they next play against Northern Illinois.

Manchester United and Liverpool played a first half that damn near put me to sleep. thankfully, the second half was much, much better. Blind, Herrera and the goal that got me out of my chair, from 19 year old Anthony Martial. sure, Liverpool had an amazing bicycle kick goal that will be shown for years, but they will always remember they lost the fucking game. god willing, Martial will be the second coming of Thierry Henry. a 3-1 win over those fucking scousers.

i still have ROH and a Jimi Hendrix documentary on the DVR to watch. i decided to get some sleep since i knew i had a long ass day in front of me.

alright kids, time for some music:

and now some of this and that:

the New Orleans Saints play Arizona today. given how beat up the Saints secondary is, i get the feeling this game might be a shootout. hopefully the Saints will get a win so i can enjoy a victory beer tonight.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, The Strain and Last Week Tonight. i get the feeling i know what i'll be doing on Monday afternoon.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. no one called for bail, so i figure everything is ok. enjoy your Sunday fun day. kick back, watch some television, grab a good book or a good woman, whatever is closest.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and finally, fall...

i woke up this morning and it was in the 50's outside. that's after about 10 straight days of waking up and it's near 70. i think the summer might finally be over. thank god. hot weather is not made for fat people.

the grocery store was interesting yesterday. plenty of shitty kids and a few amazing looking women. but, it was fucking raining, so my bone spurs were driving me nuts. and since we have now started shopping for our next door neighbors, we took their stuff over to them once we got home. that became a hour of sitting around shooting the shit about late night television and politics. so, i didn't get to my laundry until almost 6 pm. i got the next to last load done, folded and put away by a little after midnight. my back was killing me with all the standing, etc. but, that was certainly easier than watching a certain baseball team.

i'm doing my bedding this morning. hopefully that will be done before Manchester United plays.

the New York Yankees got their asses handed to them last night, 11-5. my fear with this series against the Blue Jays is the team will get swept and any chance to win the division will be gone. not only that, the wild card will be in peril as well. and given that the Yankees most consistent starter and starting first baseman are both done for the season, i could easily see them not make the playoffs now. they play a doubleheader today. if they don't win both games, i doubt they win the division.

what truly pissed me off last night was finding out it took the Yankees over a month to figure out that Tex had a broken leg. and then to hear the general manager say that if they would have known, they would have went out and got someone. maybe when a bruise doesn't heal in a few weeks, you should just assume the fucking worst and get someone. but, as usual, the Yankees want to be fiscally responsible now, unlike the last 10 years. and with the number of shitty contracts they have, it won't get any better next season either. fuck me runnin'.

Treehouse Masters was good last night. NJPW was excellent. anytime you can watch AJ Styles wrestle Tanahashi, it's a good way to spend 60 minutes.

kids, enjoy the music:

and now some of this and that:

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade this morning. i will post the links below in the music section.

Manchester United takes on Liverpool this afternoon. i hope to god that United wins as i really could use a drink.

Ohio State plays Hawaii later this afternoon. i am hoping this game will be "over" by halftime.

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i am looking forward to the Michigan St. vs. Oregon game tonight. that should be a good one.

there's supposed to be a little party in the neighborhood today, i think around 6 tonight. i don't think i'll be standing out in the rain and wind mingling with people i don't really care to know. besides, who the fuck schedules a party for outside when it is college football season. i get the feeling i may be the only "true" sports fan around here.

good thing that it never gets boring inside of my head.

i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. enjoy your Saturday. may the drinks be flowing and free. may the weather be nice enough that you might see some accidental nudity in public.

apparently i was an evil warlord in another life

before i get into the latest demise of my life...

no sooner than i typed the words yesterday that i had my fingers crossed for the latest woman i've met on Google+, the world might as well have opened up and swallowed me whole. she gives me basically the same sob story they all have given me, how they had to use their last dollar for such and such and could really use help, etc. then came the famous line of what bank do you use? i'm 39 fucking years old and for some fucking reason, these fools think i'm going to fall for this shit. maybe it was the cyber sex earlier in the day that made them think i'm a fucking dumb fuck that will gladly give out my account number so some money can be put into it. besides, anyone who says they love me after 3 days of talking is running some fucking scam. even my ego doesn't believe in myself that much. these are the days where the notebooks will be filled with sorrow and bewilderment. i often wonder if i'm going to ever meet "the one" before i die. the pain gets a little deeper each day. bet the under kids.

with that in mind, here's my Flashback Friday contribution:

the New York Yankees got rained out last night. they will play a doubleheader on Saturday. i don't know how they pull that off with the relievers running out of gas here lately. that more or less makes tonight a MUST win game against the Blue Jays.

Big Brother kind of shocked me last night as Julia was sent to the jury house. it simply shows once again that Vanessa is controlling the whole house. of course, she won the HOH. i figure she'll nominate one from each side and then whoever wins the POV she'll align herself with, at least until the other side gets power again. hopefully one of these fucks figure out before the finale that they can't win if they take Vanessa to the final 2. if not, just cut her the check now and get the show over with.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. Married made me laugh hard, mostly because i can picture myself as the "creepy" dater. sad.

ok kids, let's lose ourselves in the music:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

this afternoon i'll be driving mom to the grocery store. after we get done with that, i need to get my laundry done. and on top of all that, it's supposed to rain cats and dogs this afternoon. i'm already starting to feel achy and i've spent too much of the day on the toilet. even my body is rebelling against me.

i will probably be on here tomorrow morning as my Saturday looks like it's going to be jam packed. between the Yankees doubleheader, Ohio State playing Hawaii and Manchester United taking on those assholes from Liverpool, i'm going to be busy, hopefully drinking victory beers.

i hope everyone has a great Friday. take a moment to remember what today is. and then do something strange and think about someone other than yourself today.

and now the madness really begins

with the NFL starting back up tonight, my addictive relationship with fantasy football begins again. i'm doing 3 teams this year and i feel good about 2 of them. of course, a few injuries and i'll be bitching and moaning endlessly. my goal is to find some balance so my entire day isn't spent checking transaction reports and all the new age stats.

i had a very interesting conversation with a woman on Google+ this morning. let's just say my fingers are crossed for this one. if this turns out to be a cruel trick, it will be the meanest one of all.

got some news last night i didn't want to hear. my aunt Shirley passed away at 65. fucking cancer. Shirley was probably the one aunt on my father's side that i felt the closest to. that's probably because of the vacation to Disney World when i was a child. of course, that was the vacation where i discovered French pastries and my stomach do not get along. and there's nothing quite like getting the shits at the table to cement a moment in time for the rest of your life. i really wish my father wouldn't have lied to his family as he did. 20 years of no communication at all is such a wide gap that i'm trying to close. but it's such a damn wide gap that, at times, i wonder if there's really a point to all of this. i do hope Shirley got the card i sent before she died. knowing my luck, the shock probably sent her over the edge. i have no clue if they are going to bury her here or out in New Mexico. hopefully they decide to take donations instead of flowers at any funeral. i'd much rather give money to someone trying to fight cancer than on flowers that will eventually become trash.

on that uplifting note, onto the fucking New York Yankees pissing another chance to make up ground on Toronto. they lost last night, 5-3, mostly because Stephen Drew fucking sucks. his shitty defense allowed 3 of those runs to score. and to lose a series to Baltimore with how they were playing is completely unacceptable. they now start a 4 game series with Toronto that they need to either sweep or win 3 of the 4. anything less and i will truly believe they have no fucking chance to win the division. and given the injuries that are starting to stack up, it wouldn't shock me to see them piss away a wild card spot as well. hopefully they get a win tonight.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i completely understand why Austin lost his mind last night. these dumb fucks still don't realize just how much Vanessa has controlled all of their games. i expect Liz to get voted out tonight and who the fuck knows to win the next HOH.

You're The Worst was spectacular last night. i miss the one relationship i had that was basically drinking and fucking around ALL the time. oh my 20's. hopefully this will be another great season for the show.

NXT last night was pretty damn good. the two main tag team matches were excellent. i can't wait to see what direction they go in with this tag team tournament. here are some highlights:

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

and now some crazy shit:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married. i will probably spend most of the night flipping between the Yankees game and the game between the Steelers and Patriots.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today from the amazing Son Little. i will put the link down in the music section.

i did some outside work today for the first time in a week. the weather has finally broken a little. i'm sure the birds and the neighbors that sit outside and watch the birds are happy.

that's all for me today. not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i want to get my laundry done and i know we need to go to the grocery store. it sounds like a day where i'll be busier than nine cats covering up shit in a wind storm. that my friends, is the essence of sophisticated white trash.

always fun when you wake up in pain at 5 in the morning

i figured there was rain in the area when i woke up this morning at 5 in pain and needing to piss. and just my luck, there was no chance to fall back asleep as the words started belting me like protesters. i wrote out 2 poems that i typed up later in the morning. i like both of them. i'll probably get another round of submissions ready here soon. i'll squeeze those in between fantasy football and god knows what else.

that rain has been nothing more than some drizzle but that doesn't do shit for the pain. i think there's a cold front that still needs to come through. good times.

yesterday was a shitty sports day. the New York Yankees completely wasted a great outing from Tanaka, losing 2-1. and of course, Toronto won so the lead is back to 1 1/2 games. hopefully the Yankees win tonight, though CC is pitching so i know i'm hoping for ice water in hell.

team USA got their asses handed to them by Brazil last night. as soon as i saw who the USA was starting at center backs on the defense, i knew they were in trouble. sure enough, they lost 4-1. and honestly, the game never felt that close. i don't think the coach knows who the fuck he's going to play in that playoff game against Mexico in October. and that is a MUST win game.

Total Divas was the usual crazy bullshit last night, though this scene did make me smile:

Hard Knocks was excellent last night. i really enjoyed the bloopers at the end. i doubt the Texans will make the playoffs this year, but i think they will be better than some people think.

i was a little surprised that Stephen Colbert was more like his Comedy Central persona than i thought he was going to be last night. but, other than the Jeb Bush interview, i enjoyed the show.

kids, listen to some music:

now some of this and that:

i made my NFL picks for Week 1 today. in case anyone is interested, Green Bay is my lock this week.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and one of my favorite shows from last year is finally back, You're The Worst. i will be watching NXT on the WWE Network tonight.

just saw a message where there's supposed to be thunderstorms in the area tonight. figures.

i imagine this is what hell feels like

first off, let me wish a happy birthday to my sister. she turns... like i'm going to say how old a woman is. one of those lessons you learn with time. i hope the wine goes down easy tonight.

another day in September where it feels like it is damn near 100 with all the fucking humidity. this is how hell feels i imagine. just when you should be getting ready to watch the leaves turn and enjoy apple cider, you need extra sunblock and the drinks never stay cold. but, you know, global warming is just some fucking myth.

the New York Yankees fell behind early yesterday, came back, lost the lead and then Greg Bird once again hit a HUGE home run to put the Yankees in the lead for good. a sloppy 8-6 win on a day where the Blue Jays got the shit beat out of them by the Red Sox. the difference is back to down a 1/2 game again. hopefully the Yankees can win again tonight.

Ohio State got off to a great start last night. and then, some mistakes, some db's falling asleep, and sure enough, they are trailing at halftime 17-14. thankfully, the Braxton Miller show started in the second half. he absolutely dominated catching and running the ball. and he had a spin move for the fucking ages last night. i did get a good laugh at halftime when they showed the Virginia Tech QB saying he was alright and it was going to take a hell of a lot more to knock him out. 2 plays later he broke his collarbone. there's a good lesson in karma kids. Ohio State gets their revenge from last season, winning 42-24. they won't really have another challenging game until November.

Monday Night Raw was ok last night. i sort of fast forwarded through all the shit i really didn't care about. this part though did have me laughing my ass off, remembering the Attitude era:
the Stone Cold Podcast after the show was excellent. i laughed for nearly the entire hour:

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll put those links down in the music section. now listen to some other music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be Total Divas, the season finale of Hard Knocks, plus some other shit. i'll most likely be watching the USA take on Brazil tonight in a soccer friendly.

i am going to record the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and somehow work out a schedule to watch both him and Jimmy Fallon. i figure YouTube will play a role in that.

i've got the trash picked up. now i just have to decide when the fuck i'm going to take it down to the curb in this damn heat. i suppose midnight might work best.

got some words rumbling in my mind that will need to hit the paper soon. nothing concrete yet, but i've got a line that if i find the right one to go after it, look the fuck out.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has recovered from the holiday weekend. if not, i'm sure there is a pill or app for that.

waiting in line at Waffle House

i'm not a big fan of crowds, waiting in line, people in general, etc. so when i drove my mother and sister up to Waffle House this morning and the parking lot was full, the first thing i thought was i forgot pen and paper. this is poem making material. now, i have a tendency when i get around people to hear all the conversations going on at once. then i sort of pick and choose what to listen to. so there was one guy that spent all morning mowing grass and there's the other who had a buddy go to Las Vegas to get rich and then the woman coughing up a lung who wanted a little more sugar in her coffee. the only problem with this tendency is i go silent while doing it. so i'm not the greatest companion in this type of situation. good thing both my mother and sister know i'm an asshole, so it's not a big deal. amazingly, we were in and out of Waffle House in a little over 30 minutes. after that, i drove out to the old farm to see the damage. they are still in the process of selling off the old barns; most of the structure of the old hog barn is still up. and to think i spent damn near half my life out at that place. i have to admit, the lane is much better now. the rest, i'm not a fan of.

the New York Yankees put me to sleep yesterday in the first 5 innings. i woke up after all the good shit in the 6th. when i fell asleep they were losing 3-0. when i saw they were winning 4-3 i had to go get the tablet and see what happened. HUGE home runs from McCann and A-Rod gave the Yankees the lead yesterday. they played tack on baseball and eventually won 6-4. that wins the series against Tampa. they now face Baltimore this afternoon. Toronto won again yesterday, so the Yankees have to be in the keep winning mentality, no matter what. after the Baltimore series, the Blue Jays come to town.

the Sunday night shows were good last night. Big Brother was pretty funny. i'm wondering how much of the last two days is going to make the Wednesday show. The Strain was excellent last night. Ray Donovan was excellent as well. it also peeled another layer off the onion last night that should make the rest of the season very interesting. Masters of Sex was good.

i did not sleep well last night at all. i had some horrific dream that i woke up to screaming in my head at 3 in the morning. i believe i talked myself to sleep after that and all i remember is a plane ride with an old girlfriend that ended up crashing. maybe this was all from the chocolate cake last night.

anyone else need some music?

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw as i will be watching Ohio State seek some revenge against Virginia Tech. after all that is over, i'm going to try to catch this on the WWE Network:

my sister goes back home today. she's over at my uncle's right now. tomorrow is her birthday. i think she had a better weekend than she thought she was going to.

i hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day. enjoy whatever you have planned. watch for the police as they will be out in force trying to catch people drinking and driving. so as usual, either have a designated driver or you better be the designated drunk driver.

making up for lost time

my mother couldn't figure out why she felt like shit for most of yesterday. i figured it was the heat, as that really fucks with her now. well, i was partly correct. she figured out before we had some greasy ass pizza for dinner last night, she didn't take her medications yesterday morning. so, now i get to be the jackass son that has to grill her everyday around 11 am to make sure she hasn't forgot to do her daily routine. good times.

my sister's friend slept over last night. of course, i didn't know that until i found her this morning sleeping in my chair. story of my life, i swear. plenty of room in my bed and no one wants it.

mom decided to do my sister's birthday last night. i do believe my sister liked what she got. she likes wine, the Pittsburgh Steelers and pandas, so it's not hard to find her something.

the college football games were mostly blowouts yesterday except for BYU stunning Nebraska with a Hail Mary at the end of the game. i was watching that as it happened. if that's how the season is going to go, it's going to be crazy.
Notre Dame destroyed Texas last night. Texas responded like they normally do.

the New York Yankees could never get the big hit yesterday and lost, 3-2. and of course, Toronto won so their lead is back up to 1 1/2 games. the Yankees need to win today to win the series but they will have their work cut out for them as they are facing one of the best pitchers in the majors. great.

i did happen to watch the Mythbusters Star Wars special last night. it was good for what it was.

ROH was excellent last night with two championship matches. i saved that one on the DVR, so i'll probably watch it again once the Yankees start to disappoint me today.

anyone else need some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, The Strain, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex.

the weather is supposed to be hot and humid again today. oh joy.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i imagine some of you out there are hurting from some bad beats on college football bets. it happens my friends, it happens. just think, next week you can rebound (or compound your mistakes) when the NFL starts back up.

have a great Sunday. drink too much, eat too much, learn something from someone younger and then teach that young shit how the old fucks do it.

and out from the storm comes a damn skunk...

we had some pretty good storms roll through here last night. strong enough that most high school football games got postponed until this afternoon. the rain certainly got my arthritis flaring last night, as i spent most of the night in bed, in pain. while coming out of the kitchen last night to take the trash out to the garage, i noticed something under the main bird feeder in the front yard. as i got closer to the window, it was certainly too big for a squirrel. and then i noticed the white streak. the only thing i could think was fuck me. where there is one skunk, there are usually more. it was eating the seeds that the storm had knocked out of the bird feeder. i didn't want to startle it in case it would spray, but when i opened the door it did nothing. that makes me think it's used to people and this area. just fucking great. here i left the farm thinking this shit was a thing of the past. oh well.

NJPW was excellent last night. i am more and more tempted to get the streaming service that NJPW offers. of course, if i had a paying job, i'd probably already have it.

team USA started off strong but then decided to take the next 30 minutes off against Peru in their friendly last night. so, i wasn't surprised when Peru was winning at half 1-0. thankfully, the boys showed some fucking urgency and actually played the best i've seen them play in months in the second half. Jozy scored 2 goals to give the USA the win, 2-1. here are some highlights:

the New York Yankees had 4 hits last night. 3 of them left the yard. Severino once again pitched like a budding superstar and the Yankees won 5-2. luckily, they won on a night Toronto finally lost, so now they are only a 1/2 game out of first place. they are tied in the loss column. the Yankees go for the series win this afternoon.

those two victory beers helped ease the pain of the rain last night for sure. plus, once i actually got to sleep, i stayed asleep for a change.

enjoy some music kids:

now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i will spend most of today watching college football and baseball. i may sprinkle in some European soccer if i remember to look for it. other than that, if the weather isn't too damn hot or stormy, i may end up helping mom do some stuff around the house.

i guess we are doing my sister's birthday on Monday morning. i imagine that means breakfast at Waffle House.

my mother and sister are next door having breakfast with my aunt and uncle. the joy of not being big on family is i never feel like i am missing something by not going.

that's all for me today. i want to get a good long shower in before the games come on.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully the weather in your neck of the woods is great. enjoy some drinks, some good food, a cheap date and enough sex that you have something to write or remember in the future.

one step back into the late 20th century

i now have a phone in my room again. i enjoyed those few months where i had no inclination who was calling or any desire to pick it up. now, there's a phone by my bed. all that truly means is the likelihood of phone sex has gone way up. anything other than that, not really.

just had some kids come to the door trying to sell me food. now i remember why i hate living next to people. one of the good things about being poor, no money to buy shit like that.

Big Brother went sort of how i expected last night. Meg got evicted. the house guests were shocked by the double eviction. i was sad to see James get evicted next as he was one of the only reasons to still watch. Steve won the latest HOH and all that means is Vanessa is sitting pretty until the final 3 most likely. these dumb fucks will realize soon that they should have got her out about a month ago.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. so was Married.

i did flip between some college football games last night. it's always good to see that shit school from up north lose. i was doing that while trying to figure out what to write in a card to one of my aunts suffering from cancer. that evil fucking disease. i was a little surprised with what i came up with, given that this aunt is on my father's side. but, i'm too old to hold them accountable for my father's mistakes. besides, i have no clue if she'll still be alive when the card arrives. so if anyone wonders why on any given day this blog could become one long depressing post about death, i am absolutely surrounded by it at the moment. my uncle needs gall bladder surgery and is ever increasingly depressed that he's 80 and can't do what he used to be able to do. maybe the unrealistic gene skipped me. or maybe that's why i picked writing as my "job". i'm pretty sure i'll do this until i die or until the words run out.

speaking of that, it's Flashback Friday time. first up today is my poem "at the community picnic". this poem was published in 2010 at Opium Poetry 2.0. you can find the poem by going here: http://opiumpoetry.blogspot.com/2010/08/at-community-picnic.html

the next poem is "a purple sky of tomorrow". this poem was published in 2013 at The Camel Saloon and comes from my endless amount of love poems for all the women that never gave me the time of day. you can find the poem by going here:

ok kids, time for some music:
those last 4 videos are all bands from the local scene around here.

now, some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be NJPW.

the New York Yankees take on Tampa tonight from Yankee Stadium. at the same time, team USA will be taking on Peru in an international soccer friendly. i might have to do a little picture in picture action tonight. hopefully i'll be enjoying two victory beers later tonight.

my sister is coming down tonight for this weekend is her 20 year high school reunion. and since she was a class officer, she has to participate in the festivities. not sure if that is better than not even getting invited like what happened to me at my high school reunions. i guess we're going to celebrate her birthday this holiday weekend. it's really on the 8th but i think she has to work. so, i'm hoping it's a good weekend. other than it being hotter than hell and the threat of a popup storm every other hour, it shouldn't be too bad.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i do hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are in the USA, enjoy the holiday weekend. if you are somewhere else in the world, invent your own holiday weekend and get to drinking.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the back side of the circle

these are the days, rejecting fantasy football trades and hustling on the internet to make pennies, where you sadly realize it's all meaningless. the love. the hate. the talent, the passion. the desire to be something greater. all of it, a fucking waste. eventually, we all get to the back side of the circle. that part of life where we regress. we start off in diapers, we end in diapers. many people aren't comfortable with death. many people avoid the talk, fear gripping them until it's too late. i am not one of those people. and in these quiet moments alone, i know i am on the back side of my circle. death will greet me one day soon and i will embrace it like an old friend. a wise old man told me years ago to always leave them wanting more. i always surmised i would die the moment i found real happiness in my life. sadly, neither of those things will happen. i'd like to die in my bed next to a beautiful woman. and unless i shell out the money, that's not happening anytime soon either. so the journey continues. one sad boring fucking day after another. imagine the strength to continue on when you know no one gives a shit about any of it.

there's a little glimpse of a conversation i had with myself this afternoon while making lunch. most people believe i should be on medication by now. i wholeheartedly disagree. embrace the madness. accept the pain. as i told my mother yesterday, as she wondered why i am still so damn smart after years of marijuana and LSD, i didn't take drugs to get high, i took drugs to expand my brain. and i'm not interested in anything meant to control or alter this beautiful monster i have created. sure, i will die an untimely death well before my time, but so be it. it's not like there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. the prom queen won't suddenly think oh, there he is, the one i have missed for so many years. losers are the glue of society. my ego won't allow me to believe that i'm part of that group, but who the fuck am i trying to fool?

the New York Yankees broke out the whooping stick yesterday and then held the fuck on as their manager managed like it was the 7th game of the World Series. of course, when a 12-1 lead is suddenly 13-8, and you are in that little league ballpark named Fenway, it happens. thankfully, the Yankees won. of course, so did Toronto. the Yankees are still 1 1/2 games back in the division. they are off today and start a series at home with Tampa tomorrow.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i'm pretty sure Meg will get evicted tonight. and then i expect all hell to break loose with the surprise second eviction. i'd love to see Vanessa go. that would make the game wide open from there. if she doesn't, then it's her game to lose.

NXT was pretty good last night, especially when i see two of my favorite indie stars on the screen:
overall, i think this tournament should be excellent.

so while we're on this weird trip, let's enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married.

i'm not sure if mom wants to go out shopping this afternoon or not. hopefully we don't as it is hotter than fuck at the moment. but if we do, i'm sure i'll have some lunacy or heat induced public shitting to talk about tomorrow.

hope this finds everyone wondering what the fuck they just read, what planet are they on and do you have anymore of that good shit?

thunderstorms and dead phones

we had a nice big thunderstorm come through here and it has wiped out our phones. or, the old ass phones have died. either way, i don't care because i rarely ever use the phone anymore. but, it looks like something else we'll have to do to once again join the 21st century.

the rain hasn't killed me yet. my back isn't tight, yet. but my arthritis is licking its chops. hopefully the rain will cool everything off. it's 88 degrees on Sept. 2nd. fucking ridiculous.

the New York Yankees won 3-1 last night. a couple of timely hits (what a concept) and some good pitching. they play again this afternoon. hopefully they can get the win, which would end this road trip with a record of 5-1. i'll gladly take that.

the season finale of Tyrant was excellent. i thought for so long that it was just going to be a paint by the numbers finale and then the ending blew me the fuck away. and if you know the back story of the character that did the shooting, it makes so much more sense. i can't wait for season 3, if there is to be one. FX has a tendency to end shows after 2 seasons.

Total Divas was the usual nonsense. the show did make me laugh a few times, mostly at Paige:

Hard Knocks was great last night, mostly because of the i will never be able to erase this image from my mind of Vince Wilfork:
keep in mind he has on the overalls, cowboy boots and nothing else. enjoy that visual.

anyone else like a little music with the pain:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother. i am really interested to watch NXT tonight as the Dusty Rhodes tag team tournament starts. if done right, that should be excellent.

the phones are working again. i guess the storm was the root of the problem.

and now the thunder is starting back up again and my bone spurs are acting like they are at a Slayer concert. fuck me runnin'.

that's all today for me kids. i hope this finds everyone with a cold drink in their hands and their pants around their ankles.

trying to make lemonade out of chicken shit

my frustration level increased over each hour last night to the point where my blood was damn near actually boiling. between the Yankees, Manchester United, my bad back, my health insurance, etc. etc... these are the days where my 8 year old self smiles and gives me the finger. this is what i get for not listening. this is what i get for thinking that love actually exists. this is what i get for exposing my soul to the sun for too long. this is what i get for coming from the bottom of the gene pool.

the New York Yankees left a small village on base last night. they had the bases loaded 4 different times and could only score 3 runs. that won't work in a ballpark that screams for softball numbers. the 4-3 loss came on the same night that Toronto finally had a loss. so, there's another damn chance pissed away. they play again tonight. hopefully they actually get some timely hits.

Monday Night Raw was more miss than hit last night. i enjoyed a few segments:
but other than that, the show was useless for me. it's painfully obvious they are setting up Seth Rollins vs. HHH down the line. but to use someone like Sting to do that is beyond fucking stupid. plus, it's totally obvious that Vince thinks that women are only eye candy and nothing else. he alone has basically killed the revolution of women's wrestling. beyond frustrating.

i downloaded the Leon Bridges mixtape today. it's really damn good. check it out by going here: http://cominghometotexas.com/

enjoy some music kids, i'll be trying to find the sun:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United bought some 19 year old French kid today that supposedly is going to be the next Thierry Henry. i've heard that about every good French player for the last decade. even Henry himself admits that this a massive gamble by the club. they also got some 17 year old defender that probably won't help the club for a few years. 2 moves that make no fucking sense to me. also, you now have a pissed off goalkeeper who wanted to be at Real Madrid but isn't now because of paperwork. and the club has sent away striker after striker and replaced them with a mystery. with all that said, given the number they have given him. let's hope Anthony Martial is the second coming:

on the DVR tonight will be Total Divas, Hard Knocks and the season finale of Tyrant. if the baseball game goes like last night, at least i have something else to watch.

my health insurance went up $200 today, mostly because insurance companies are greedy fuckers that have to always make more money or else. i guess i will be looking for a cheaper plan soon. also, it's the birthday of the woman that molested me. i can't imagine why my day has been shit.

it's fucking September 1st and it was 87 degrees today. and there are still dumb fucks in the world that don't believe in global warming. and people wonder why i always have so much to write about.

god willing, i will drink myself to sleep tonight and not wake up in a pile of my own shit.

and on that lovely visual, until tomorrow folks...
