when nothing works anymore...

so, i tried to exhaust my pain last night. and i took a weed gummy. i think i finally fell asleep at 6 this morning. i was up at 9:45. left elbow is killing me. i can't tell if it is a pinched nerve or arthritis has decided it is taking over the space. joy.

i did watch some of the Packers and Eagles game last night.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW had over 3 hours of wrestling on last night. i might have found roughly 30 minutes of good enough to watch.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight.

the Yankees play at the Cubs this afternoon. hopefully, they will win again.

Ohio State plays tonight at home against Western Michigan.

the USMNT plays a "friendly" this afternoon against Canada.

i am sure i will watch plenty of college football today.

i will hopefully be on here tomorrow before the NFL games start.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

cloudy, but not quite raining...

these are the days where my arthritis really drags me down. not so much the heat, but the humidity. not quite raining, but still all the fucking pain. joy.

the NFL season starts tonight. i'll have to watch on Peacock since the battle of the rich fucks is still going on between my local NBC and DirecTV. it should be a pretty high scoring game (hopefully).

the Yankees won again last night, defeating Detroit, 4-3. they go for the sweep tonight.

AEW Dynamite was good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. i think Jag will get evicted tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and Big Brother.

i went to Rite Aid to get my prescription this afternoon. after that, i went to the grocery store to get what mom forgot to put on the list yesterday.

i did write two poems last night. the first one was quite depressing and the second one was very loosely based on an experience i had in my 20's with a married woman. that one came out of nowhere and i can't wait to get that published.

it started to rain last night, so i didn't think i could stand for the 25 minutes it would take me to shave. i'm hoping i will feel good enough tonight to get it done.

i'm making some nachos for dinner tonight. that should go well with some football.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone has fun gambling tonight and i hope you actually win some money. and that goes for myself as well.

the dog days of summer...

today has been one of those days where i am swimming in frustration... doing my best to not kill anyone. i wanted to get to the grocery shopping way sooner, so of course, mom slept until around noon. i tried to ice my back before i went and it did me no good. thankfully, shopping today wasn't too bad. now, i could have gone without the physically challenged guy at Kroger bagging my groceries. but, mom discovered another Kroger gift card she had in her room (it makes me wonder what i will find when she dies in there) so the grocery bill was $100 cheaper than it would have been.

Game 1 of the doubleheader today between the Yankees and Twins is in the top of the 12th, tied at 3. i'm sure, given the number of times the Yankees could have won this game, they will find a way to lose. Judge did hit his 55th HR of the season today.

NXT was very good last night.

Deadliest Catch was good last night.

the season finale of What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.

the season finale of Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

the USWNT defeated Nigeria last night, 2-1.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite, Big Brother and two episodes of Welcome to Wrexham.

the Yankees just tied the game in the bottom of the 12th at 4.

i should be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the Europa League.

the Yankees just won 5-4 in 12 innings. i would have loved if they would have won when they had the chance to win in the 9th, 10th or the 11th. now they have to play Game 2 in 30 minutes.

i need to get the trash picked up and figure out dinner tonight.

busy day...

so, i figured i better get my laundry done today instead of trying to do it when my sister is down here this weekend. so i started that when i got home from mom's doctor's appointment. she got her injection in her back and will hopefully feel much better tomorrow. i wrote 10 poems in the parking lot while she was in the appointment. i typed those up when we got back home. i really like a few of them. i will probably do my first submissions of the month this weekend.

the Yankees had their asses handed to them yesterday, losing to Toronto, 8-0. hopefully, they do much better tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, Deadliest Catch and the season finale of Hard Knocks.

so the death of Michael K. Williams really got to me yesterday. i have enjoyed his acting for so long and seen him in so many things, it fucking felt like a family member had died.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

tomorrow is also my sister's birthday. as well as my friend in Colorado's birthday. small fucking world.

happy labor day...

i hope everyone is having a good labor day.

the Yankees lost yesterday to the Orioles, 5-1. they start a series with the Blue Jays tonight, who are now ahead of them in the division. 2020 truly is the year from fucking hell.

here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:

here are your NHL highlights from yesterday:

Big Brother was good last night.

Power Book II: Ghost was really good last night.

Love Fraud was pretty good last night.

We Hunt Together was excellent last night. the season finale is next week.

Lovecraft Country was fucking great last night.

The Vow was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i will probably watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight as well. and maybe some of the college football game between BYU and Navy.

i did listen to episode 307 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://omny.fm/shows/notsam-wrestling/drama-botches-the-intercontinental-title-notsam-wr

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i have to drive mom over to Indiana in the morning for her oral surgery. i have no clue how long that will take. i'm bringing pen and paper with me so i can get some writing done while i am there, waiting in the Highlander. i figure we won't be back into Ohio until the afternoon, so i'm hoping i'll get the blog done before the Yankees play on Tuesday night.

and tomorrow is also my sister's birthday...

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

not exactly how i wanted to start my weekend...

so, i got the preliminary report from my abdominal scan from yesterday. looks like my liver is slightly enlarged. no damage to my pancreas or my gall bladder. so, i'm interested to see what the scan of my liver showed. i'm guessing it will all lead to me being diagnosed with fatty liver disease. i should know by next month for sure. joy.

the New York Yankees lost last night to Boston, 6-1. i really wish the Yankees would give two shits about beating Boston. i know they are going to win the division, but for the fans, every fucking loss to Boston is like a punch to the dick. hopefully, the Yankees will win this afternoon.

the USMNT lost to Mexico last night, 3-0. to be honest, after Mexico scored the first goal, i stopped watching.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows. it looks like last night was the last broadcast on HBO. i believe the show is going to be picked up on Viceland, but i have no clue when that is going to happen. it's a shame that it was cancelled by HBO. easily, the best news program out there.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

the season finale of A Black Lady Sketch Show was hilarious last night. i can't wait for season 2.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and ROH.

Ohio State plays today at noon. i'm hoping they do beat Cincinnati.

i will probably watch a good amount of college football games today and tonight. that should give me some time to catch up on some sleep and ice my bad back a few times.

my sister did make it down here last night. i think she's taking mom out today as mom forgot to call in some pills before i went to the grocery store yesterday.

since the New Orleans Saints play on Monday night, i probably won't be on here tomorrow until closer to the 1 PM games.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

snow showers today

i couldn't sleep for anything last night. i tossed and turned. i think i might have got a couple good naps in at best. it was lightly snowing this morning. i think it is supposed to do that all day long. they said we should only get an inch of snow. that's good.

Celebrity Big Brother was a bit crazy last night.

NJPW was very good last night.

WOW was pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits, ROH and Amanda Seales: I Be Knowin'.

i will probably watch some of the NHL All Star game tonight. i did catch some of the highlights from the skills competition last night, especially since The King won the goalie competition.

the Dayton Flyers play this afternoon at Fordham. this is a game that Dayton MUST win. they should since Fordham hasn't won in the league yet this season. of course, Dayton could also lay another fucking egg on the road as well. the game isn't on television, so i'll probably listen on the radio.

i can't wait for NXT Takeover: Phoenix tonight. it should be amazing, just like every other Takeover event.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow, of course i said that for this morning as well. i'm not sure why so many damn people enjoy chatting with me online. apparently, it must be because i respond to the chats. fuck me, talk about wasting time.

given that most of my tomorrow will be devoted to the Royal Rumble, i WILL be on here in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

apparently, i'm being punished for my past...

so the muse and i got into it last night. i thought i was doing a good thing by helping her out and she started blasting me for not getting with her when she wanted to get with me. now mind you, this was 10 years ago. when i was 32 years old. when i had fucked up my back, pinched my sciatic nerve and had blood clots that nearly killed me. but, since i couldn't fit in a relationship with the muse at that time, i'm an asshole and i'm paying for it. i made the mistake of having a retort and that only made things worse. but, i did write what i thought to be this really amazing poem last night a little after midnight. i gave the muse the choice when i sent it to her this morning. if she doesn't want me to get it published, it won't get published. if she wants me to get it published, then it will. now, i haven't decided if that would be in a zine, here on the blog, or maybe even a YouTube video. i haven't heard back from the muse yet, so i don't know her decision.

what really killed me was the muse bringing up that i talk about other women. this coming from the same woman that checks out dating sites while i'm talking to her on the phone. now, keep in mind, i haven't been on a date in so many fucking years, i have lost count. part of me believes the muse is taking the stress of her job out on me. part of me believes she's frustrated with me that i now am in a place where i want to pursue something with her and she's not in that place any longer. i do think a great deal of her loves me. i think we do have a decent friendship that i'm constantly trying to strengthen. i have no idea if she will ever give me the chance to be with her. one of the lines of the poem was me apologizing for taking so fucking long to realize she's the love of my life. apparently, i wasn't allowed to mature and get better with time. i was supposed to be already perfect when she waltzed into my life.

i'm pretty sure when i die i will have a list of regrets a mile fucking long. i really wish that wasn't the truth. i wish i was this free spirit that never got fucked over, just had all his troubles roll off his back and was happy and content with his world. i have scars so fucking deep, they feel like braille from 300 years ago. it makes me laugh sometimes. like i wanted to be sexually abused as a child. like i wanted a father that didn't love me. like i wanted my best friend to move to Portland, Oregon without me. like i wanted my girlfriend when i was 23 to cheat on me and decide she was a lesbian when i wanted to ask her to move in with me. like i wanted to have to take care of my mother to stay in the will.

i'm trying to strive for the one fucking dream i really want. more than being a successful writer or fame, fortune or endless amounts of people kissing my ass; i just want to be with the woman i am madly in love with. apparently, i will have to go through hell to get there. i've walked that path before and survived. i'm stupid, i'll gladly walk it again.

the grocery store today killed me. every beautiful woman i saw in there reminded me of the muse. one reminded me so much i nearly forgot what the fuck i was shopping for. thankfully, i did get everything on the list and a few extras for my sister's birthday this weekend. the best thing was i got all the shopping done before the fucking rain started.

i did watch a good portion of the Eagles vs. Falcons last night. i always love when Atlanta loses.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. Scottie was voted out again and Kaycee is the new HOH.

Snowfall was excellent last night. things are definitely getting crazy now.

Vice News Tonight had a great week of shows.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Random Acts of Flyness.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight in Seattle. hopefully they will win.

the USMNT takes on Brazil tonight in a soccer friendly. given how young the USMNT is, this should be rather interesting tonight.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow. i think my sister will be down here in the afternoon for her birthday. i know she's spending the night, so that should be interesting as the tv in the living room doesn't work anymore.

i know i will be on here before Ohio State plays tomorrow afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i hope the weather wherever you are is better than the shitty fucking rain here.

it feels a little weird...

the NFL season starts tonight and for the first time in well over 20 years, i'm not playing any fantasy football. i'm not even picking games this season. it certainly feels a little weird. and since i'm not playing any fantasy football, i really only give a shit about what the New Orleans Saints do this season. so, my NFL season kicks off on Monday.

the New York Yankees were rained out last night and had to make up the game with Baltimore this afternoon. thankfully, they took care of business and whipped the Orioles 9-1. sadly, before the game, Gene "Stick" Michael passed away at the age of 79. he did everything for the team in his life; player, coach, scout, manager, general manager, etc. he was the one behind the building of the Yankees last dynasty. rest in peace Stick and thank you for everything.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i fully expect Jason to be evicted tonight and then i'm hoping all hell breaks loose on the second eviction.

the season finale of Snowfall was great last night. i really hope this show lasts for as many seasons as possible.

NXT was pretty good last night.

Lucha Underground was very good last night.

the season debut of You're the Worst was fucking great last night.

the season debut of Total Bellas was pretty funny last night.

Mr. Mercedes was fucking awesome last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between New England and Kansas City.

for those wondering, i did get a new lamp for my desk. it's a decent one that will hopefully last me many years. i got some light bulbs for it as well. the plunger was a gag gift of sorts for my sister's new house and that she's turning 40 years old tomorrow.

i just put my last load of laundry in the washer. i figure since i'm driving mom up to Columbus tomorrow for the party for my sister, i might as well be wearing clean clothes. fuck, i might even shave and shower as well.

i did do the grocery shopping today. between gas, pills and food, i kept it under $130. that's not too bad. and i got back in time to watch the Yankees game.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2017/9/7/wrestling-podcast-150-big-cass

i will be on here early tomorrow as i think we'll be driving up to Columbus in the afternoon.

one of those days

you ever have one of those days where it feels like you're shitting out blood all day long? where the faces at the grocery store all look like aliens? except for the little girl that waved at you, she obviously hasn't learned yet. maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the pressure building up in my left ankle, maybe it's this dumpster fire election season that's finally getting to me. who knows.

first off, a little poetry news. i did write 1 poem today. i haven't typed it up yet, mostly hoping i write some more tonight. i also heard back on my poetry submission to Easy Street. they decided to pass on the 5 poems i sent. good times.

the New York Yankees won their biggest game of the season last night, 7-6. they were facing one of the best pitchers in baseball and found a fucking way. a couple huge home runs and then the bullpen tried their hardest to fuck it all up, but thankfully, they didn't. a crazy fucking game. they go for the sweep tonight.

Smackdown was good last night. i'm a little shocked that they are doing the injury angle with American Alpha, but that should go into a great feud with the Uso's down the line. i am looking forward to the Smackdown ppv this Sunday.

Atlanta was excellent last night. as i heard one reviewer say, it's not often you find a "black" show with nuance. the first two episodes were great. i highly recommend everyone to check out this show on FX.

Hard Knocks was good last night. the cut down episode is always a rough one. i was a little surprised at a few of the cuts the Rams made.

the USA men's team was excellent last night in a 4-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago. they won the group and will now face Mexico in November in the cold of Columbus, Ohio.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Tyrant, Any Given Wednesday, Lucha Underground and You're The Worst. i'll be watching NXT and CWC on WWE Network at some point tonight.

i went to the grocery store this afternoon. i figured it was better to go today than try to do it tomorrow in the rain. it was hot as fuck today, so i made sure to get home as quick as possible since i had frozen shit.

i also had to get what mom is giving my sister for her birthday tomorrow. and since i was in the liquor store to get that, i figured i might as well treat myself.

that's all for me kids. i'll be on here at some point tomorrow.

waiting in line at Waffle House

i'm not a big fan of crowds, waiting in line, people in general, etc. so when i drove my mother and sister up to Waffle House this morning and the parking lot was full, the first thing i thought was i forgot pen and paper. this is poem making material. now, i have a tendency when i get around people to hear all the conversations going on at once. then i sort of pick and choose what to listen to. so there was one guy that spent all morning mowing grass and there's the other who had a buddy go to Las Vegas to get rich and then the woman coughing up a lung who wanted a little more sugar in her coffee. the only problem with this tendency is i go silent while doing it. so i'm not the greatest companion in this type of situation. good thing both my mother and sister know i'm an asshole, so it's not a big deal. amazingly, we were in and out of Waffle House in a little over 30 minutes. after that, i drove out to the old farm to see the damage. they are still in the process of selling off the old barns; most of the structure of the old hog barn is still up. and to think i spent damn near half my life out at that place. i have to admit, the lane is much better now. the rest, i'm not a fan of.

the New York Yankees put me to sleep yesterday in the first 5 innings. i woke up after all the good shit in the 6th. when i fell asleep they were losing 3-0. when i saw they were winning 4-3 i had to go get the tablet and see what happened. HUGE home runs from McCann and A-Rod gave the Yankees the lead yesterday. they played tack on baseball and eventually won 6-4. that wins the series against Tampa. they now face Baltimore this afternoon. Toronto won again yesterday, so the Yankees have to be in the keep winning mentality, no matter what. after the Baltimore series, the Blue Jays come to town.

the Sunday night shows were good last night. Big Brother was pretty funny. i'm wondering how much of the last two days is going to make the Wednesday show. The Strain was excellent last night. Ray Donovan was excellent as well. it also peeled another layer off the onion last night that should make the rest of the season very interesting. Masters of Sex was good.

i did not sleep well last night at all. i had some horrific dream that i woke up to screaming in my head at 3 in the morning. i believe i talked myself to sleep after that and all i remember is a plane ride with an old girlfriend that ended up crashing. maybe this was all from the chocolate cake last night.

anyone else need some music?

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw as i will be watching Ohio State seek some revenge against Virginia Tech. after all that is over, i'm going to try to catch this on the WWE Network:

my sister goes back home today. she's over at my uncle's right now. tomorrow is her birthday. i think she had a better weekend than she thought she was going to.

i hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day. enjoy whatever you have planned. watch for the police as they will be out in force trying to catch people drinking and driving. so as usual, either have a designated driver or you better be the designated drunk driver.

for those of you not celebrating a three day weekend, remember that Mondays suck until you break out the vodka. then, not too bad.

where do the hours go

when i sit back and look at everything i want to do today, i quickly realize there's no fucking way i will get everything done. there simply isn't enough hours in the day. here's a quick recap of my day yesterday...

mom and i went to a local pizza joint. got way too much food, so i knew what i was having for dinner. came home and watched sports. was happy and then completely dejected. then took an unwanted nap and didn't get back to bed until 5 this morning. good times.

the Yankees won yesterday 6-2. helps that the Royals starter left after the first pitch. today is Derek Jeter day. knowing the Yankees, it will be long, plenty of nostalgia, over the top, a tad bit tacky, did i mention long, but in the end, it has to be before another win. if they lose today, just about any good chance of making the playoffs will be gone.

Ohio State got fucking humbled last night by Virginia Tech, 35-21. it was probably exactly what the kids needed. a week in Columbus where they are treated like pieces of shit because they lost a home game. then, maybe they will understand the importance of that jersey to so many people. of course, maybe the coaches will actually come up with a better game plan next time.

of course, as a conference yesterday, the Big Ten proved that they fucking suck. all the teams that played anybody lost. things have certainly changed since my youth.

ROH was great last night. so great, i watched it twice. if you love tag team wrestling, i highly urge you watching any match the Young Bucks are in. easily the best tag team going today.

today will be a clusterfuck for me after football goes off. if i did my planning correctly, i'll be getting to bed at 3 in the morning. if there was any day i really could use a DVR, it is today. after football, it will be Big Brother, Boardwalk Empire, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Total Divas, Ray Donovan, and ending with Masters of Sex. i doubt i'll make it through all of it.

my fantasy lineups are set. i don't really have any injury concerns going into the games today. my quarterbacks don't play until the 4 o'clock games, so i'll be paying most of my attention to the Saints game early. hopefully this is the year where they can put it all together again and win another title.

before all of that happens, i have to get some breakfast in me, pick up all the damn trash and get it down to the end of the lane. plus, feed the cats and birds and try to get all of that done in the next 90 minutes. thank god it's not raining.

that's all for me today. hope your Sunday is a good one for you. thank you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

be well. be creative, be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
