one of those holiday Mondays...
i remember being in school and loving these holiday Mondays. but as an adult, especially one that does a lot of shit through the mail, these Monday holidays are just a pain in my ass. all it really means is the mailbox will be stuffed tomorrow.
i watched most of The Tonight Show anniversary special on NBC last night. i kept it on the DVR for anytime i just need a laugh.
Shameless was excellent last night. i really enjoyed the ending. Billions was very good as well.
i enjoyed Vinyl last night, mostly for the music. it clearly has Scorsese written all over it. hell, take any movie he's made for the last 20 years and you could pick it out in the 2 hours last night. i'm hoping it's a show that gets better with each week.
i really enjoyed Last Week Tonight last night. i missed the shit out of that show. it makes me laugh and think for 30 minutes each week. hardly any show can do that for me.
the best part of last night though was the New York Rangers. every Rangers fan on earth wanted some revenge last night and we actually got a little taste of it. props to Dylan McIlrath for cutting Wayne Simmonds open. props to Tanner Glass for fighting Ryan White. and props to Derek Stepan for showing the fuck up once again. and as always, props to The King. he set the record for Rangers goalies in all-time games last night. all in all, an excellent evening watching the Rangers win 3-1 and further damaging the chances of Philly making the playoffs.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The X-Files and Monday Night Raw.
i will be watching The Grammy Awards tonight. this is the night where the music junkie in me gets to have an orgy.
i might have watched 10 minutes or so of the NBA All-Star game yesterday. the player introductions and maybe the first few minutes. sadly, all the game really was for large portions was a glorified layup line. no "real" basketball game has a final score of 196-173.
here is a photo of the wind chime on my back porch to give you an idea of how cold it is here:
we got a fresh coating of snow yesterday. mom and i timed it pretty damn good. we got home from next door about 2 minutes before it started to snow.
hopefully the Grammy Awards are great tonight. music is one of the only things that really inspires me here lately.
i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll post the link below in the music section.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully your Valentine's Day was excellent.

response from Napalm and Novocain
i heard back from A.J. at Napalm and Novocain on my recent poetry submission. my poems "patiently waiting", "the sad realization" and "sweet lips and my broken heart" have been accepted for publication. they are slated to be published on February 18th.
not even in my dreams
what better way to start off today than a Rage Against The Machine concert. i recorded that last night and watched it this morning. i figured that was a good way to start a day i really don't care for.
we've got more snow on the way and my body is aching. guess i'll be mixing chocolate and liquor today.
i did watch the NBA All-Star Saturday Night festivities and i'm really fucking happy i did. the dunk contest was off the fucking charts amazing. it honestly brought me back to my youth and watching Jordan vs. Dominique in that dunk contest from 1988. what Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon did last night will live on forever.
the 3 point contest was one of the best ever as well. not quite the Larry Bird domination of the contest in my youth, but the display that Klay Thompson and Steph Curry put on last night was amazing.
overall, the event was much better than probably the last 15 years combined. the amount of young talent in the NBA now is staggering.
ROH was awesome last night, mostly due to a great main event.
Austin City Limits was great as well last night. i really need to see Tedeschi Trucks Band in concert one of these days.
and finally, Saturday Night Live was really good last night. the one sketch about Beyonce and white people was probably the best thing i've seen on the show in years.
enjoy some music kids:

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Philadelphia. hopefully the Rangers can get a win tonight and hopefully get back on another streak.
i might watch some of the NBA All-Star game tonight. i highly doubt it will be as good as last night's events were though.
that's all for me kids. i need to get next door before the snow hits. it's supposed to snow from this afternoon to tomorrow afternoon. we're supposed to get anywhere from 1 to 3 inches. i wouldn't be surprised if we get more.
i hope your Saturday was great. i hope your Sunday is even better. hopefully your Valentine's Day goes well.

from the highest of highs back down to the inevitable
so when the Dayton Flyers hit a HUGE 3 last night to take the lead late, i was pacing the living room frantically. it has been 11 years since Dayton won at Rhode Island. and i have seen so many last second heart breakers against that team that i truly didn't want to see another one. so when Rhode Island missed a last second prayer and Dayton got the rebound with just 0.3 on the clock, i could finally breathe. it really feels like this season for Dayton is becoming a dream once again. kind of like the run to the Elite 8 a couple of years ago. Dayton beat Rhode Island 68-66. they next play at Saint Joseph's, where they have lost 7 games in a row.
so in the euphoria of the Dayton win, i turned back on the hockey game. the Rangers had fought back to take the lead twice in the game. and they were just 30 seconds away from a very important win with their backup goalie in net. sadly, some horrible puck luck to Kevin Klein and the game goes into OT. and just like the playoffs against the Kings a few years ago, they score in OT to win 5-4. kind of hard to feel good about Dayton winning when the Rangers just knocked the life out of me.
Treehouse Masters was a rerun last night. next week is a new episode. NJPW was excellent last night. the match between Ibushi and AJ Styles was a classic. VICE was excellent as well last night. i don't think there is a better investigative reporting show around.
enjoy some music:

so i woke up this morning to watch Manchester United. i didn't get to bed until 3 in the morning, so i was more or less still asleep it seemed. when Sunderland scored 3 minutes in, i didn't react at all. that certainly means that i am more or less emotionally "done" with this team this season. Anthony Martial scored to even the game at 1 at halftime. amazingly, United played like absolute shit for the entire second half. so when Sunderland eventually scored and won the game, it did not shock me. hopefully the geniuses now know the only way they will play in the Champions League next season is if they win the Europa League this season. i don't have my hopes up for that happening.
not exactly the start to the weekend i was hoping for. apparently in order for Dayton to win at Rhode Island, the rest of my teams had to lose. good times.
i suppose i will watch some college basketball this afternoon. i know i need to help mom put together some shelves she bought. that shouldn't take too long. plus, i know i really need to take a long hot shower. i guess i'll watch the NBA All-Star shit tonight, if i get bored enough.
it was in the single digits when i woke up this morning. i guess winter isn't done with us yet.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. stay warm.

i have a new rule to live by
so when i woke up this morning, i got on the computer and got to work. for some fucking reason, my printer wasn't working. i tried every little trick i knew and none of them worked. i then had to remove the printer from the computer and more or less reinstall it. that eventually worked, but only after i took some time away from it. i got a little breakfast, took a shit and now i have a new rule to live by.
never make any decisions in the morning before you take a shit.
good words to live by. once i got the printer figured out, it was time to start sending out some poems. i sent out 23 poems today; 3 each to Dead Snakes, Napalm and Novocain and Off The Coast; 4 poems to Hobo Camp Review and 5 poems each to Shot Glass Journal and The Literary Hatchet. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
to send to 3 of the places, i had to get a Submittable account. that went much better than i expected. so, a little pat on my back for defeating technology again today.
The Big Bang Theory was very good last night. the surprise they were mentioning in the ads for the show certainly was a surprise. i enjoyed the subtle way it came out as well. Life in Pieces was hilarious. Baskets was fucking bizarre and brilliant once again. and Lip Sync Battle was good. not great, but i can't complain with who was on the show.
WWE Smackdown was really good last night. i could watch Chris Jericho wrestle AJ Styles for the next few years and never get bored. hopefully they wrestle again on the next ppv.
enjoy some music kids:

tonight is a bit of a clusterfuck on television. on the DVR will be NJPW, Treehouse Masters and VICE.
the Dayton Flyers are at Rhode Island tonight. they have lost their last 6 games there, so i'm hoping the boys have a win in them tonight.
at the same time, the New York Rangers are at home against the Los Angeles Kings. i really hope the Rangers can keep their winning streak going tonight as well.
if both teams win tonight, i will be a very happy boy. if both lose, i won't get much sleep, which will suck because Manchester United plays at the crack of fucking dawn tomorrow. so i'm really hoping for some wins so i can drink myself to sleep tonight.
for those of you in relationships, i truly hope you enjoy this coming weekend. for we single people, raise a glass of something strong and be happy you've never been arrested for buying it. for any depressed people that wish they were in a relationship this weekend, raise two glasses and remember there is always tomorrow and hopefully she brings along a friend.
i don't think i have been with anyone for Valentine's Day in over 20 years. to me the day is more about driving to a pharmacy with The Black Crowes song "She Talks To Angels" playing as i'm going to get some pills for my stepfather after he had another seizure. this would be 12 days before he died. hard to believe that's been 14 years ago now.
so, yeah. Cupid has done a shitty job with me. maybe one day i get to actually enjoy it and be the romantic fucker i always wanted to be. lord knows i can write the words down.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i'll be on here tomorrow afternoon, hopefully enjoying some victories or still slightly drunk from those victories.

2 hours in the grocery store should be against the law
hopefully our pantry never gets barren ever again. after spending 2 hours in a grocery store where people are in a panic because more snow is coming... fucking kill me now.
before the grocery store, mom and i decided to go out for lunch. while we were sitting there, i noticed some water dripping from the ceiling right onto the table where this black guy was sitting. he looked up and said what the fuck, got his bill and left. as soon as he left the table, the water stopped dripping. my first thought was apparently someone is racist. not sure who yet.
this blog may be a little disjointed as the shows i normally watch are getting ready to come on. so hopefully you the reader won't notice that i'm simply typing during commercial breaks.
the New York Rangers played great last night once they found their legs. they beat Pittsburgh 3-0. considering who the Rangers are without at the moment, this was a statement game from them. that's 4 wins in a row. hopefully they are starting to go back in the right direction for the playoffs.
NXT was excellent last night. i really enjoyed the main event between Carmella and Bayley. and then the interaction at the end when Asuka came out was a nice touch. i can't wait to see Bayley vs. Asuka. that has classic written all over it.
Lucha Underground was great once again last night. i got a big smile on my face when i saw Joey Ryan. he can only make the show even better. if you aren't watching Lucha Underground, you should be.

running on empty
it was probably a good thing i didn't go to the basketball game last night. if i would have, i believe i would be sitting in jail right now as i'm pretty sure no one would bail me out on attempted murder charges. the game between Dayton and Duquesne was an instant classic. sadly, the three fucks officiating the game were absolutely fucking clueless. and i'm not bitching because they fucked over Dayton every chance they had, i'm bitching because they were so damn bad they were screwing over both teams. thankfully, Dayton overcame a 12 point deficit late to win 76-74. it's the kind of win that makes you start to believe that this is going to be one of those pinch me, i'm fucking dreaming seasons. Dayton is now 20-3 on the season. you have to go back 40 years or so to find a Dayton team this good, this late in the season. here's hoping they keep it rolling when they next play at Rhode Island.
i really enjoyed The Muppets last night. it was a fun episode with a good message. plus, i enjoy anything that involves Joan Jett.
Total Divas was pretty good last night. it also showed why i enjoy Paige so damn much. she clearly has the same asshole sense of humor i do.

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i will also be watching NXT on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play at Pittsburgh tonight. this game will be a tough one given the Rangers injury situation. hopefully i'm enjoying a victory beer late tonight.
i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it as Sam takes a look back on interviews with Daniel Bryan over the years.
i cleaned off the driveway a little today. i was hoping to get most of the snow off of it before it gets really fucking cold tonight. the windchill is supposed to be below zero i do believe. this will be one of those nights i'm happy i'm not on the farm.
i did a little poetry work today. i believe i came up with 23 poems to send out to various places. i think i will be doing that on Friday. i think i'm sending to 3 or 4 places i haven't sent to before. hello butterflies.
that's all for me today kids. not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i believe we have no choice but to go to the grocery store tomorrow. and with how the pantry is looking, it's going to be a long visit.
we're having chili tonight, so hopefully the farts keep me warm tonight. enjoy that visual.

Total Divas was pretty good last night. it also showed why i enjoy Paige so damn much. she clearly has the same asshole sense of humor i do.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i will also be watching NXT on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play at Pittsburgh tonight. this game will be a tough one given the Rangers injury situation. hopefully i'm enjoying a victory beer late tonight.
i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it as Sam takes a look back on interviews with Daniel Bryan over the years.
i cleaned off the driveway a little today. i was hoping to get most of the snow off of it before it gets really fucking cold tonight. the windchill is supposed to be below zero i do believe. this will be one of those nights i'm happy i'm not on the farm.
i did a little poetry work today. i believe i came up with 23 poems to send out to various places. i think i will be doing that on Friday. i think i'm sending to 3 or 4 places i haven't sent to before. hello butterflies.
that's all for me today kids. not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i believe we have no choice but to go to the grocery store tomorrow. and with how the pantry is looking, it's going to be a long visit.
we're having chili tonight, so hopefully the farts keep me warm tonight. enjoy that visual.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

old bones and snow, not a good mix
we got a few inches of snow overnight. i didn't think it was much until i saw that schools were closing. it has snowed on and off all day long. that is supposed to continue into tonight. i told mom with how she was feeling and how i was feeling, there's no point trying to go out today. the last thing i need is either of us falling and breaking something.
so that means i will be watching the Dayton Flyers on the television tonight. they play against Duquesne. Dayton is up to 19 in the AP poll. that is the highest Dayton has been in February since the 60's. hopefully they take care of business once again tonight.
the New York Rangers were without two of their best players last night. thankfully, they decided to not feel sorry for themselves. they were dominant for most of the 60 minutes last night against New Jersey, although the last few minutes were a little more scary than they should have been. goals from Klein and Miller and some huge saves from The King, the Rangers won 2-1.
The X-Files were pretty interesting last night. i'm interested to see where the show goes in the last few episodes.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night. they saved the Daniel Bryan retirement to the end. that was probably for the best. i loved that Dean Ambrose showed just how crazy he is by going after Brock Lesnar. plus, anytime Ziggler and Owens wrestles anymore, it's a classic. the Daniel Bryan ceremony was excellent. i teared up a few times as he was easily one of my favorite wrestlers of this generation. he will be missed, that's for sure.
enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and Total Divas.
i guess i should actually got out and get the paper and mail now. hopefully the driveway isn't icy.
sometime tonight i'm going to go through some poems and see where my next round of submissions are going to go to. i've got a couple of places in mind, including a few new ones.
that's all for me kids. i was busy on iTunes this morning, so you may see some songs that you wouldn't think i would listen to.
i hope this finds everyone warm and enjoying something. i'll let your imagination decide what you think i think that something is.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

so where do i begin
i feel like so much has happened over the last 30 hours or so... between the Super Bowl, a trip to the doctor's office, a child i nearly beat the shit out of, an incredible documentary and yet another Manchester United meltdown... as you might imagine, i'm tired.
i'll start with Manchester United. i was fucking pissed at halftime because they had 10 corners against Chelsea and didn't manage to get 1 fucking shot on goal. thankfully, they played a much better second half. Jesse Lingard scored an incredible goal to put United up. with 6 minutes left in the game, i actually thought that United was going to win at Chelsea for the first time in a long fucking time. silly me. Chelsea scored in stoppage time for a 1-1 draw. not the way i wanted to start off my Sunday.
after i took a shower i decided to watch that James Foley documentary before the Super Bowl. i should have had some tissues by me as this documentary absolutely brought me to tears. it was gripping from the start to the finish. i HIGHLY recommend everyone check it out on HBO.
i did watch the Super Bowl. i don't give a shit about either team. i picked the game wrong, which is something like 5 Super Bowls in a row i have picked wrong. the commercials were ok but nothing really blew me away as holy shit great. maybe the Doritos baby commercial was my favorite one. i enjoyed halftime. if Bruno Mars doesn't watch out, he'll have to do halftime every year. as a New Orleans Saints fan, i'm happy that Peyton Manning won. now he can fucking retire.
i watched Shameless and Billions this morning as i wanted to get some sleep. i might have got close to 5 hours of sleep. that's plenty for me. Shameless was great. it also reminded me why i don't have a cell phone. i really enjoyed Billions this week. most likely that's due to Metallica being on the show.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
tonight on the DVR will be The X-Files.
the New York Rangers take on New Jersey tonight. i'm interested to see how they are going to play given that the captain is out with a concussion. the defense was already hurting enough.
Monday Night Raw should be very interesting tonight now that the news has hit that Daniel Bryan has retired. he's going to be on the show tonight. i was really hoping he was going to be able to come back and compete again. hopefully they give him the proper sendoff tonight. i will definitely be watching.
so the doctor was really pleased with my numbers. but, he decided to keep me on the pill he had me on to see if the numbers can get even better. he also sent in orders to set up a trip to get my colon checked. now that i'm 40 and given the family history, i figure i better start the checks for colon cancer now. not that i don't mind dying, it's just that i'd like to have a bit of say in the matter.
here's where the shit got weird at the doctor's office. i walked in, signed in and sat down. this little kid, i'm guessing 5 or 6 years old, comes up to me and says hi. i said hello. he then starts to grab my goatee and play with it. his mother grabs him and says i'm so sorry. i said nothing. the kid then sits next to me and touches my neck for some fucking reason. his mother says he must like you. i said i guess while in my head i'm saying i guess your son has never had the shit beat out of him. i told my mother this and she said it's obvious that children find you fascinating. i told her that's great but kids don't have disposable incomes to buy my books and art.
i got my latest order from Steiner Sports today in the mail. i really need to get some frames to get this stuff up on the walls. i got an autograph photo of Mike Keenan holding the Stanley Cup when the New York Rangers won in 1994. i also got a little bit of dirt from Derek Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium.
the weather is supposed to get snowy and windy here soon. my bones are saying it should have already began. but, after watching that documentary yesterday, i don't think i will be complaining about pain that much anymore.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully you won some money on the Super Bowl. and hopefully this finds you in a warm place with a tall glass of something cold.

so today is supposed to be super or something
amazingly, i woke up this morning after 4 hours of sleep and felt refreshed. must be the alcohol.
the New York Rangers played like shit for most of yesterday. so when Yandle scored with 12 seconds left to send the game into OT, i wasn't thrilled. this team learns more when they get beat than when they fuck around and just do shit good enough. the Rangers went on to win the game in a shootout, 3-2. hopefully their captain doesn't have a concussion from the Wayne Simmonds sucker punch. the Rangers next play on Monday against the Devils.
the Dayton Flyers took George Mason behind the woodshed last night and destroyed them. i don't believe i have seen a Dayton team shoot that good in my life. over 60% from the floor and over 60% from 3. just unreal. Dayton won 98-64. that's the most points they have scored on the road since 1973. Dayton next plays at home on Tuesday. hopefully, mom and i will be going (weather permitting)
i didn't watch the HBO documentary last night. i'm saving that for another day. Austin City Limits was really good last night. i saved that one on the DVR as well to watch again.
ROH was excellent last night. i enjoyed the main event, although i would love to see a no disqualification match between those two teams soon.
Saturday Night Live was much better than i thought it was going to be last night. i thought Larry David was fucking hilarious.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Shameless and Billions.
Manchester United plays Chelsea later this morning. i'm really hoping United wins so i'm not in a pissy mood for the rest of the day.
a little game called the Super Bowl is on tonight. since i don't give a shit for either team, i'll be more interested in the commercials. i do think Carolina will win, but i expect a close, low scoring game.
at some point today, i want to take a shower and really stretch out my back good. if all those days of snow are coming like they are predicting, my back is going to be in misery.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better. enjoy the Super Bowl, or the commercials, or the party, take your choice.

make up your mind
so today it's supposed to get into the 40's and be sunny. 2 days from now we're supposed to start 4 straight days of snow. knowing my luck, that will start on my drive to the doctor's office. good times.
there was so much on television last night. i nearly forgot about Spike Lee's Michael Jackson documentary on Showtime. i watched that and really enjoyed it. Treehouse Masters was a clip show, so most of that was watched on fast forward. NJPW was excellent as always. it's funny watching it knowing that so many of the guys have already left NJPW. VICE last night was very interesting. i'm not sure how many people in this country understand what the fuck Boko Haram is. plus, the gene editing story was very interesting. as i told my mother, the next step to our evolution is perfecting ourselves. once that is achieved, the end of humanity is then upon us.
the USA defeated Canada last night 1-0 in a soccer friendly. the game was pretty boring, but thankfully i was watching when the winning goal was scored.
as you might imagine, i was up pretty late after watching all that. but, i was able to wake up in time to watch Manchester Shitty lose this morning. considering what today is for Manchester United fans, that was a sight i didn't mind seeing this morning.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be the James Foley documentary on HBO, Saturday Night Live, ROH and Austin City Limits.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon against Philadelphia. it would be nice for the Rangers to win this game as the Flyers are getting close to them in the standings.
the Dayton Flyers play at George Mason this evening. they have had a week to prepare for this game, so i'm expecting them to come out on fire.
not sure what else i'm going to do today. probably some cleaning and maybe a trip to Hobby Lobby to get some frames. i basically want to make my room have exactly zero free wall space.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. i will be on here in the morning tomorrow, before Manchester United takes on Chelsea, and long before all the good commercials start for the Super Bowl.

people watching on overload
so i wrote 10 poems yesterday in the waiting room while my mother was doing her physical therapy. let's just say with the number of old people, the woman with one leg and the kid that asked me if i drove a truck (because i look like someone that would), i had enough to probably write another 20 if i had the time. i typed them up this afternoon and i really like a few of them. i will probably have another round of submissions in a week or so.
my mother's physical therapist said she has much more than just Meniere's disease. she was shocked to learn that mom is still working full time. mom told her that's because none of the doctors think it is serious enough to call it a disability. so, hopefully that shit will soon change. they want her to come down there twice a week, which should be interesting.
after the physical therapy, we went out to eat. this was my birthday meal from Perkins. since i didn't use the coupon the week of my birthday, they sent another one. we showed up just about at a shift change. so imagine my surprise when our waitress went from a lady closing in on 70 to this amazing woman in her 20's. that poem should be coming soon.
and then the grocery store. of course, my mother didn't bring any of that shit along as she didn't think we'd get to the store as early as we did. thankfully, i was able to remember most of the shit that was on the list. and i figured we might as well get some food for when we're watching the Super Bowl so we don't have to go out again this weekend.
we ended up back home before 6 PM. i think she thought we were going to be pushing 8. thankfully, that wasn't the case.
the New York Rangers started off like shit last night, giving up 2 goals in the first 8 minutes. thankfully, the games are 60 minutes. the Rangers scored the next 4 goals to win 4-2. they next play against Philadelphia tomorrow afternoon.
The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night. Life in Pieces was very good. Baskets was fucking weird as hell and great. Lip Sync Battle was ok, other than the fact that Tim Tebow was on it. thankfully, Nina Dobrev was his opponent. talk about easy on the eyes.
WWE Smackdown was really good last night. i am really enjoying how they are building AJ Styles up. plus, anytime i can watch Kevin Owens beat the shit out of people, i'm all for it. all in all, a good 2 hours.
enjoy some music kids:

i listened to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today finally. i highly recommend it if you love Lucha Underground as much as i do.
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, VICE and Treehouse Masters.
i will probably watch team USA take on Canada tonight in a soccer friendly. hopefully they win so i can drink myself to sleep tonight.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow as my afternoon is pretty much packed with sports. the Rangers and the Dayton Flyers play in the afternoon.
i finally got my Sacramento Kings t-shirt in the mail yesterday. it's hard as hell to find something in my size that has the Kings on it. but, i had a 15% off code from a survey i did on the NBA, so i finally have something to wear from my favorite NBA team. now if they would just win more...
i hope everyone has a great weekend. drink, enjoy life, call if you need bail money.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i listened to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today finally. i highly recommend it if you love Lucha Underground as much as i do.
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, VICE and Treehouse Masters.
i will probably watch team USA take on Canada tonight in a soccer friendly. hopefully they win so i can drink myself to sleep tonight.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow as my afternoon is pretty much packed with sports. the Rangers and the Dayton Flyers play in the afternoon.
i finally got my Sacramento Kings t-shirt in the mail yesterday. it's hard as hell to find something in my size that has the Kings on it. but, i had a 15% off code from a survey i did on the NBA, so i finally have something to wear from my favorite NBA team. now if they would just win more...
i hope everyone has a great weekend. drink, enjoy life, call if you need bail money.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

hello once again, winter
the doorbell just went off. i went to the door and i didn't notice the package that fell down as i opened the door. i noticed the snow flurries flying around. i laughed, knowing damn well that i'm going to be driving in that in 45 minutes or so.
i have to drive mom to a doctor's appointment south of town today. i believe it's a physical therapy thing for her Meniere's disease. after that, it will be a late lunch/early dinner at Perkins (another coupon) and then a trip to the grocery store. i figured i better write this now than try to cram something in tonight.
i really enjoyed Lucha Underground last night. they continue to be one of the best wrestling shows around. i'm going to have to get one of those Pentagon Jr. t-shirts soon. plus, i really geeked out when Rey Mysterio showed up at the end of the episode. excellent as always.
sadly, i watched NXT after Lucha Underground and the show just seemed to be one of the rare blah shows i have seen NXT do. even the main event between Finn Balor and Apollo Crews seemed to be missing something. next week looks like it should be great though.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Baskets, WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.
on top of all that, the New York Rangers take on Minnesota tonight at home. i'm hoping for a win but i'm not counting on it.
i'm bringing along a pen and my little notepad with me today as i'm hoping to write a few poems while i'm sitting in the waiting room. it's amazing how many of those poems actually get published.
if we do go to the grocery store before we come back home tonight, i imagine tomorrow's blog is going to be an interesting one. people watching is one of my favorite things to do. it allows my imagination to run wild.
that's all for me kids.

when your pajamas become business casual clothes
today was one of those days that i truly didn't feel like doing shit. it stormed all night long and all i did was toss and turn all night. i think i might have got a little over 4 hours of sleep. that's probably why i have been napping on and off all day long.
my mother is probably horrified by this, but i truly enjoy going out to get the paper or the trash cans in what i slept in. now, i'm a good neighbor, i'll put on a shirt and maybe even a coat. but who doesn't love the sight of a fat ass in torn Superman shorts coming out to pick up the trash? good times.
i found out today that the New York Rangers best defenseman, Kevin Klein, broke his thumb last night and is out indefinitely. not exactly what i was hoping for.
Total Divas had me howling last night, mostly because it solidifies all my thoughts about how women tear each other apart ALL the time. i will say though, Mandy Rose is one of the most beautiful women i think i have seen in my life. and i really don't like blondes that much.
The Muppets was great last night. i loved that the show seemed a bit quicker and a little fresh.

tonight on the DVR will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT on WWE Network after that.
i guess it's supposed to get "cold" for the next couple of days and then go right back into the 40's again. hopefully we have more than just a couple days of winter left. i could do without the ice but i wouldn't mind a little snow here and there.
the poems i got published at Napalm and Novocain were about three different women. so i've been reeling in the memories all day long it seems. this is one time where i wish my mind would forget more shit than it currently does.
that's all for me today kids. not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i have bills to pay and i think i should probably get a haircut soon.

this was going to be a good one...
so i was up at 6 in the morning because i knew i had to drive my mother around this morning. of course, little did i know that driving wasn't going to happen until 10 AM. as i watched the storm coverage on television, i more less braced for a shitty day. and other than a few hours, that is exactly what i got.
the drive to the lawyer's office is a long one. but, the papers mom had to sign will greatly help her taxes, so i didn't mind making the drive. after the drive, we went out to a late breakfast / early lunch. i had a coupon for 22% off at a place, so of course we went there. it was a little crowded, but ok. i should have ordered some coffee as that might have helped me. i couldn't find a comfortable spot for my left hip at all. i realize i'm going to have to really up my pain tolerance and quickly.
after we got home, i took a nap before Manchester United played this afternoon. i figured i would need the sleep.
well, well, well, where the fuck has this Manchester United team been all season? scoring in the first half? holy shit, i thought they forgot how to do that. 3 goals in a game? yet another holy shit. feels like it has been ages since i have seen them play like this. goals from Lingard, Martial and Rooney in a very clean and efficient 3-0 win over Stoke.
i just got done watching the New York Rangers piss away 2 leads and lose at New Jersey 3-2. so much for my fucking good mood.
The X-Files were pretty good last night.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good as well. i really enjoyed Owens vs. Ziggler and just how crazy Dean Ambrose really is. plus, i think they are doing a good job putting over AJ Styles.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight is Total Divas and The Muppets. hopefully both of them recorded without any problems. it's raining pretty heavy here.
i got my test results back from my blood work. all the numbers were better than the last time. i just don't know if they were improved enough that he'll take me off of the pill he's had me one for the last couple of months. i'll find that out on Monday i suppose.
that's all for me kids. the hip is bothering me and i need to go angrily drink after a Rangers loss. thank you Manchester United for giving me this chance to vent.
i hope this finds everyone well. i guess the groundhog said we're going to have an early spring. it's 50 in February and we're having a thunderstorm. an early spring? no shit.
