it seems weird to not be watching the crops this time of the year

when i was driving mom back home last night, we had to take some back roads due to an accident. she had no clue where i was going and i explained to her given the amount i would drink and drive in my 20's, i needed to know every back road in order to get away from the police... just in case. as we drove, i noticed some of the fields were being harvested. it totally feels weird to look out the windows and not see the fields of corn and soybeans being harvested. i guess the move after 18 years on the farm is slowly sinking in. i suppose the first Thanksgiving and Christmas here will really sink it in fully.

i got back from picking up mom in time to watch most of the second half of the Manchester United game. i was very pleased with the win and how they did it. coming from behind and being strong in possession while hanging on for dear life after getting the lead. the winning goal was a very good one.
that flip from Juan Mata was pure brilliance. now every team in the group is tied at 3 points. this is a group that will most likely come down to the last game. United next plays on Sunday against Arsenal as they try to stay on top of the Premier League.

NXT was very good last night. some really good matches and a wonderful build up to the next Sasha Banks vs. Bayley match on October 7th.

You're The Worst was excellent last night. it seemed like just a normal great episode until the ending. the ending was so out of the blue that i can't wait to see where the next episode goes.

the New York Yankees left a small village on base last night while pissing away yet another chance to make the playoffs. they lost to Boston 9-5 in 11 innings. due to losses from other teams, the magic number is down to 1. i really don't want them to back into the playoffs, but i'm pretty sure that's how it will happen. not sure if mother nature will allow the final home game to be played tonight or not. the east coast certainly looks like nothing but rain. and of course the Yankees last 3 games of the season are in Baltimore. chances are i won't watch much tonight if there is a game. it's too fucking painful to watch these days.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

the New York Rangers won last night 3-2 over Boston. The King certainly looks ready for the season to start. i'm really interested to see who will be the final cuts from the team. there really aren't any easy decisions for the coaches or the general manager.

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Married. i believe it's a two episode finale. i will most likely be watching the NFL game tonight between the Steelers and Ravens. i have a couple fantasy guys going in that.

mom wants to go to the grocery store after her calls this afternoon, mostly because it's supposed to rain all tomorrow here. i figure that makes sense, plus we certainly do need to stock back up. hopefully my brain will be firing while i'm there. i wouldn't mind having something i just have to write about when we get back home.

well, that's all for me today. i need to eat some lunch and go see if the mail is here. i hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day. if not, there should never be a glass of something "special" that far away from you.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
