i figured i had some time last night before ROH came on, so i did some writing. i wrote 6 poems in a little under 50 minutes. i typed those up this morning. they are pretty dark and really good. i'm either going to do another round of submissions this month or maybe actually get some poems together for a book submission. time will tell i suppose.
for those of you interested, mom got an appointment on Tuesday morning to get the car all fixed up. hopefully they can get everything done in the morning as she has physical therapy in the afternoon.
i'm not really surprised that Loyola-Chicago and Michigan are in the Final Four. i think both of them were the better teams last night. today's games are Villanova vs. Texas Tech and Duke vs. Kansas. i'll probably watch most of those games.
the New York Rangers defeated Buffalo last night 5-1. the Rangers have certainly found a new, young backup goalie. he had 43 saves last night. plus, Buffalo just fucking stinks.
ROH was really good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Our Cartoon President, Homeland, Billions, Here and Now, Barry and Silicon Valley. i'll be watching NJPW: Strong Style Evolved for most of the evening.
mom said she saw a crow out in the front yard this morning. i told her that was a sign of impending doom. i have no idea if that's true, it just sounded good.
that's all for me kids. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

since it didn't snow at all here last night, mom wanted to go out shopping today. i laughed and told her this is going to be the next 20 years of my life i guess. you want to go out shopping and then bitch about how there is no money. so, after $100 was spent at Meijer for some shit we needed and some shit that we probably didn't, i loaded up the car and shut the trunk. and sure enough, the fucking back license plate fell right off. the bolts had completely rusted through. great. i went back in and bought some tape. of course, i get back out to the car and we have nothing to cut the tape with. so i went back in and bought some scissors. i come out and mom had found something to cut the tape and put the license plate in the back window. of course, that back window is tinted and there's no way the police could see the tags on it. by that time, i was fucking fuming. not quite sure why she thought she shouldn't just wait for me never crossed her fucking mind, and my blood sugar was dropping as it had been 7 hours since i ate breakfast. when we got back home, i took the license plate off of the window and just put it on the front dash. hopefully we can get it repaired here shortly. unfortunately, i don't have anything that can dig those old bolts out.
the two episodes of NJPW were excellent last night. i can't wait for their live event tomorrow night. that should be really good.
Real Time with Bill Maher was great last night.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
the season finale of High Maintenance was really good last night. i can't wait for season 3.

i will probably watch some of both college basketball games tonight. i really couldn't give a shit who wins.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Buffalo. i'm hoping the boys will find a way to lose this one. it will be difficult.
i do know the New York Yankees won both of their games this afternoon, so i will be drinking this evening.
i'm planning on being on here early tomorrow. of course, early is a relative term these days.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.
i'm trying to avoid listening to Trotwood lose in the state final right now. they are trailing by 6 at the moment. having them win the state title is a dream i have had since i was 12 years old. to say i'm on pins and needles would be an understatement.
Trotwood lost to LeBron's old high school, 60-51. fuck.
that's all for me kids.

i heard back from Johnny at Midnight Lane Boutique on my poetry submission from last week. my poems "tossing and turning", "my monday afternoon" and "alcohol can do wonders" have been accepted for publication. they should appear around May 5th.
i saw the weather forecast last night and figured the grocery store this afternoon was going to be a fucking zoo. i was pretty close to being correct. more on that later.
i wrote 11 poems yesterday while in the waiting room of my mom's physical therapy. i typed those up last night and really like a few of them.
our lunch was pretty good yesterday. it was definitely better than the trip to Toys R Us. right when we got to the store, i saw a sign that said contrary to what you might have seen, we do not know when the liquidation sales will begin. we apologize for any inconvenience. i looked at mom and laughed. the old bait and switch. there were certain items that were on clearance. of course, most of those were already gone. i found a couple Funko Pops that were a good price and a little Batman toy that was a decent price. but the rest of the "good shit" was way too expensive. we found out as we were checking out that the vendors came in last week and got all the baseball cards. that pissed me off as i was really hoping to find some of those at a good price. oh well. that was my first time in a Toys R Us in probably 20 years. sadly, it looked about the same. no wonder they are going out of business.
i did watch a little of the basketball games last night. let's just say the entire left side of my bracket is now over with. i figure tonight will most likely take care of my right side. joy.
Atlanta was excellent last night.
Lip Sync Battle was crazy last night.
Gotham was fucking great last night.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Philadelphia 4-3. the refs blew the call on what would have been the tying goal in the game. so, a big thank you to them for that fuck up.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, 2 episodes of NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and the season finale of High Maintenance.
the grocery store was definitely picked through by the time i got there today. anytime the weather forecast is doom and gloom, i know the store is going to be a fucking zoo the following day. thankfully, i didn't have a scroll of things to get today. sadly, the toy selection at the grocery store was better than that at Toys R Us. and yes, i got them at a discount. all in all, my 2 prescriptions cost almost half as much as the fucking groceries. but, i got out of there with only spending a little over $100. now watch, it won't fucking snow.
mom had the closing of the sale of the other home she owned today. i can tell that's a whole ton of stress lifted off of her now. i'm hoping my cousin will do a good job of taking care of it. she owns it now.
i didn't watch much of the New York Yankees game today. i saw they were losing to Boston and just moved along, scanning the channels. i can't wait for the season to start. 6 days away.
i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. kind of depends on how shitty the weather actually gets tonight.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
best of luck to Trotwood in the Division 2 state championship tomorrow.

i'm not exactly sure why this shit keeps happening to me or why people like to poke the bear, so to speak. at the age of 42, i'm still getting fucking messages from people pretending to be someone else and then doing a piss poor job of trying to tell me they aren't fucking scamming me. i'm just too fucking old for these games. so, i suppose either i will find someone who will end this damn misery for me or maybe death comes first. the saga continues.
the season finale of The X-Files last night was crazy. i'm a little torn given some of the deaths. plus, if this was the final show ever, there are so many open holes that there truly is no sense of closure. of course, that's probably a metaphor for our lives.
NXT was excellent last night. i could watch Gargano and Ciampa go at each other forever and never get bored.
i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade last night. below is the link: Suri - As I Am

i need to get ready to take mom to her physical therapy. after we get done with that, we're going to go have lunch. then, it will be the sad final trip to Toys R Us to see what the hell is still there. i'm not getting my hopes up of finding anything good.
plus, i am bringing my little notebook with me, so i will hopefully have a nice writing session in the waiting room of the physical therapy office once again.

we got around 3 inches of snow. it was a really wet snow that has melted a little by this afternoon. i didn't think we got a newspaper this morning. turns out the fucker was buried in the snow. hopefully the rest will melt by tomorrow afternoon.
Smackdown was really good last night. Daniel Bryan being back is truly fucking awesome. the end of the show and the violence between Kevin, Sami and Daniel has me dreaming of the match those 3 could have at WrestleMania.
205 Live was excellent last night. i can't wait for the title match at WrestleMania between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. that should be great.
Baskets was hilarious last night. the season finale is next week.
Hate Thy Neighbor was very good last night.
The Voice was very good last night.
The Chris Gethard Show was fucking insane last night. i love that it is back on the air.
the New York Rangers lost to Columbus last night 5-3. it was a good loss as a good number of bad teams won last night. i need the Rangers to be in line for pick number 7 or better in the draft.

i got about 4 hours of sleep last night. i tried taking a nap this afternoon, but my imagination had other plans. so, i got up and a poem spilled right out of me. i typed it up and it's pretty weird, so i love it.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good as well last night. Brock beating the shit out of Roman was a nice twist. also, the Ultimate Deletion was a bit more crazy than i thought WWE would be willing to go to. it wasn't as nuts as the one they did in TNA, but i wasn't expecting it to be either.
Arthur Miller: Writer was very good last night. now, i found it fascinating as it really went into his process of writing and coming up with the plays. i devour that shit and try to use it in my own writing process if i can. all in all, i found it to be much deeper than i was expecting. i would definitely recommend this to anyone that might be interested in it.

i about shit my pants this afternoon when i saw that the WWE cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle again. he retired 2 years ago because of concussions. i know he's gone though all the treatments and some experimental concussion treatments and according to all reports, any damage caused by the concussions is gone now. this could actually be a game changer for all sports when i think about it. it will be very interesting to see how he changes his wrestling style. and i do expect him to be wrestling at WrestleMania in a few weeks.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Columbus. since i would have to watch and listen to the Blue Jackets shitty announcers, i will probably pass on watching tonight.
i did listen to a bit of the New York Yankees game this afternoon. they lost to Detroit 8-3. it's hard to believe that opening day will be here in 9 days.
i'll be on here tomorrow hopefully after some much needed sleep. i had to be up early this morning because the heating & air guy was coming to look at the furnace and air conditioner. thankfully, both are still good.

at least we found most of what she was shopping for. plus, i think i have a new favorite at the bank i go to. and i was able to get gas before the fucking snow comes tomorrow night.
i believe i got 7 of the Sweet Sixteen correct this year in the NCAA tournament. given how fucking crazy this tournament has been, that's not too bad. of course 75 % of the Final Four i picked is already gone. oh well.
Our Cartoon President was fucking hilarious last night.
Here and Now was really good last night.
Homeland was very good last night.

much like what has happened for most of my life, i tried to do something good today and it completely fucking backfired. i took some spray paint to make the numbers on our mailbox be a little more clear as they were starting to fade. so, right as i began to spray, a gust of wind came along and fucked everything up. i tried to wipe the paint up, which only made shit worse. so, now i've been trying to "fix" it and finally just decided to call it fucking art. i figure next time i'm out i'll be looking for some stickers or something better than paint or markers.
hard to believe tomorrow is the first day of Spring and they are talking about accumulating snow. at least mom doesn't start back to physical therapy until Thursday. hopefully by then some of it will have melted.

i just watched the team i picked to win the national championship this season (Michigan St.) lose in the NCAA tournament. never good when my brackets can't make it out of the first weekend.
a little poetry news to pass on... i did get that wild hair up my ass, it was either that or a little too much alcohol and sent out 17 poems today. 6 each to In Between Hangovers and Midnight Lane Boutique; 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
Manchester United advanced in the FA Cup yesterday 2-0. it was a rather listless performance. to me, it seemed like the mind fuckery going on with the coach to his players has the majority of the players afraid to fail. that's never a good thing. Lukaku and Matic scored the goals. they have played for Mourinho before, so they know his tricks. United will play Tottenham in the semifinals of the FA Cup next month.
the New York Rangers lost in OT last night against St. Louis 4-3. it does look like the kids like playing the role of spoiler.

the weather was finally nice enough today that i was able to take mom to get her haircut. i figured i would get mine done as well since i hadn't had it cut since December. as i told the lady before she started, my only hope is i look different than when i came in here. mission accomplished.
after we got done there, i had to take mom to get some cash out of the ATM. we ended up driving past where we used to live. i was pretty surprised at the amount of water damage in the area. hell, one field was still under water about a mile or so from our old farm.
i will be on here tomorrow after a trip to the bank and getting some gas. i think there's a chance of snow this coming week and then a quick warmup after that. joy.

i totally got the time wrong for when Manchester United was playing today, so the blog will come before the game.
we had a nice little ice storm last night. i suppose it was somewhat appropriate considering what happened last night in the NCAA tournament.
when i saw the score midway through the second half and saw that UMBC was defeating Virginia by double digits, i thought it was a mistake. i then turned to the game and holy shit. i think i watched the last 12 minutes of the game. i even had my mother turn it on in her room to watch. what i never thought i would see in my lifetime was finally happening. a 16 seed was going to beat a 1 seed. and not just any number 1 seed, but the overall number 1 seed in the entire tournament. when that final buzzer hit, i still couldn't believe it. but i am very happy to be a witness to it. this changes college basketball forever.
i went 10-6 yesterday in the tournament. i believe i was 23-9 in the first round, which is about my average anymore. i still have 12 of my sweet 16 available. usually, if i can get at least 10 of the 16 right, i'm pretty happy. anything less than that and i might as well just shred the fucking thing right there.

i went 13-3 in the tournament yesterday. of course, 2 of those losses were teams i had in the Sweet 16 and Final Four (fuck you Arizona). oh well.

i told my mother this morning that i filled out a bracket but didn't enter any contests. this will be the year where i probably only miss 2 or 3 games.
i started the day off getting the first 3 games right, so...
the First Four games last night weren't as good as the games on Tuesday. Texas Southern defeated NC Central 64-46. the game didn't feel even that close for most of it. i did get a high school feel from the game as NC Central had one white player on the team. that sums up my basketball life for the most part. plus, the cheerleaders certainly reminded me of my time at a black high school as well. i'm sure those dirty thoughts will end up in some poems soon. the battle of the bands stunk as it was completely unorganized and a clusterfuck for the most part. in the second game, Syracuse defeated Arizona State 60-56. mom wanted to leave before the game was over, so i didn't get to see the last 2 minutes or so. i had the game on in the car. i think she wanted to leave early so she didn't have to sit in traffic like the night before. one of the things i pride myself in is never leaving early. so, i was clearly pissed. i was actually hoping the game would go into OT so i could really be an asshole about it.
Waffle House was a little better last night than the night before. amazingly, the meal i got was less greasy than the night before, even though it probably shouldn't have been. of course, mom ordered too much food and started putting shit on my plate. i wonder how i got fat?
The X-Files were pretty fucking creepy last night. the season finale looks like it should be pretty damn good next week.
NXT was really good last night. i'd love to see Adam Cole and Pete Dunne fight forever.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Gotham, Will & Grace, Lip Sync Battle and Atlanta.
i'm sure i will be watching plenty of college basketball tonight as well.
the New York Rangers came from behind last night and defeated Pittsburgh 4-3 in OT. to say i was shocked when i got home and saw the highlights would be an understatement. this team can't even fucking tank the season correctly.
i see the Yankees won this afternoon over the Pirates 9-5. looks like i'll be drinking tonight.
well, i think i have finally figured out how to get 5 hours of sleep in a row. don't go to bed until six in the morning. when i woke up and saw it was 11 AM i started to laugh. what's a good breakfast to eat at noon?
yesterday was one of those days where i'm truly happy i'm a poet. i'm well adjusted enough that when shit goes sideways, i know how to swallow my anger and vent it in a somewhat productive way.
when mom and i got to the basketball game yesterday, we got a program and went to find our seats. mom believed the seats were in the back row two sections over from where we normally sit. well, it was in the back row all right. the row that was nothing but chairs meant to be moved for wheelchairs. just fucking lovely. about two minutes into sitting there mom looked over at me and said this is going to kill your back isn't it? i said yeah, but i'm sure i'll be able to channel that pain somewhere. it was at that time i had learned Manchester United had got knocked out of the Champions League by Sevilla. to say i was seething would be an understatement.
mom said next time she'll let me handle the tickets. i agreed, considering this is two straight years she has managed to fuck something up. i guess it's getting to that point where i have to be the asshole son.
the First Four games were pretty good last night. Radford defeated LIU Brooklyn 71-61.that was their first win in tournament history. our seats were behind the Radford section. that had a good number of fans rooting for them. they had a player from Cincinnati on their roster, so i think that helped. in the second game, the Dayton fans kept their word and made Saint Bonaventure feel at home. and it worked. Saint Bonaventure defeated UCLA 65-58. that was their first win in the tournament since 1970. we got out of the parking lot right around midnight. joy.
we went to Waffle House after the game. that's basically the only thing that is open in Brookville at that hour. unless we wanted to eat gas station food. our waitress at Waffle House was in a pissy mood and the cook was new. these are the nights the world should he happy i don't carry a fucking gun with me.
once we got home, i started watching everything that recorded. thankfully, all of it did record, even though the snow fucked with the recording of Vice News Tonight.
oh, to top off everything, about 3 minutes after i got home i found out that Stephen Hawking died. to the man that actually got me interested in science after all the teachers in my life had failed, thank you.
The Voice was pretty good last night. the blind auditions are now over. now the fun truly begins.
Smackdown was much better last night. i did enjoy the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn brutal beatdown of Shane McMahon.
205 Live was excellent last night. Cedric Alexander vs. Roderick Strong was very good.
Baskets was pretty funny last night.
Hate Thy Neighbor was all about feminism last night. a very interesting show to watch bleary eyed at 5 in the morning.

the First Four games tonight are:
NC Central vs. Texas Southern
Arizona State vs. Syracuse
mom will be happy as at least we know there will be good bands at the game. my penis did enjoy the fact that UCLA brought their cheerleaders and dance team last night.
i figure i'll be on here sometime in the afternoon tomorrow. i'm going to go stretch out and hopefully take a giant shit.
hope you enjoy the visual.

the New York Rangers own Carolina at Madison Square Garden. they won last night 6-3, which marks the 15th straight time they have defeated Carolina at MSG. that's the longest streak against one opponent in Rangers history. all in all, it was a win i didn't want the Rangers to get, but i did enjoy the alcohol.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night. i love the whole Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar program right now. throwing Vince into the mix was great. having Braun Strowman win the tag team battle royal by himself was an interesting twist. The Ultimate Deletion next week should be great. and i actually wouldn't mind if the Undertaker comes out as the other version of his gimmick he used in the past and destroyed John Cena. i really do like the direction Raw is going in for WrestleMania.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets, Hate Thy Neighbor and The Voice. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i will be at the First Four tonight to see two college basketball games. first up will be LIU Brooklyn vs. Radford. the second game will be Saint Bonaventure vs. UCLA. i'm really interested to see how mom does considering we probably won't be getting out of the arena until sometime around midnight. the games will be broadcast on TruTV in case you are interested.
Manchester United plays Sevilla today at home in the Champions League. this the second leg of their matchup. the winner advances to the quarterfinals. i'm really hoping United scores early and often and wins this match convincingly.
that's all for me today kids. i have to go eat lunch, shower, shave, and do the trash before i get ready to go to the basketball game. and all i really want to do is go take a fucking nap.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i heard back from Scot at Rusty Truck on my poetry submission from last month. my poem "just four days before" has been accepted for publication. it is scheduled to be published tomorrow.
i wrote 8 poems this afternoon while sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office. my mother always asks me how do i come up with what i write? i always just sort of shrug my shoulders and say it's the joy of being crazy. i'll probably type up the poems tonight sometime. i think i have a few winners in this batch.
i was not impressed with the selection show yesterday for the NCAA tournament. and i certainly wasn't thrilled with some of the teams that made the tournament. i honestly don't think Oklahoma, Syracuse or Arizona St. should be in it. of course, they are big schools, which the committee will always pick over the smaller schools with better records and better teams. it's a television show after all. they are thinking of getting people to watch, not what would make for a better tournament. mom got tickets to the First Four again. so i will be watching 4 games of college basketball in the next 2 days. more on that tomorrow.
WWE Fastlane was pretty good last night. i love that Asuka is going to face Charlotte at WrestleMania. i love that Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles is now official for WrestleMania. i didn't mind Randy Orton winning the US Championship last night. the main event last night was a bit of a clusterfuck at times, but it did tell the right story. here's hoping Kevin Owens gets to beat the shit out of Shane McMahon one day.
Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night.
Homeland was really good last night.
The Chi was fucking amazing last night. the season finale next week should be awesome.
Here and Now was excellent last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious as always last night.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Carolina. i'm expecting another loss.
i believe the New York Yankees play the Twins tonight. i might check out some of that.
i will be on here tomorrow hopefully long before Manchester United plays in the Champions League.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
