some high highs and a low low

yesterday was one of those days where i had such a wide swing of emotions that i was fucking spent before midnight. thank god the alcohol helped.

i'm not quite sure my sister understands how easily she pisses me off sometimes. i handed her my two broadsides yesterday and jokingly told her that will be $5. she looked at me and said, i'm trying to buy a house, i don't have $5 to spare. i said ok, just pay me whenever, it's cool. so, a couple hours later when i saw my sister left the broadsides behind, that was like a punch to the gut. i'm not exactly sure why i should have a positive outlook on life when even my own fucking family couldn't give two shits about what i do. that left me for most of the afternoon just sitting in the dark in my room, wondering why the fuck do i even bother?

the New York Yankees actually pulled a victory out of the jaws of defeat yesterday. 4-1 win in 16 fucking innings. this time, it was Boston's bullpen that shit the bed. the Yankees tied the game at 1 in the top of the 9th and then finally scored again in the top of the 16th. they play a doubleheader today. i can't imagine either team having much energy at all.

when team USA missed two penalty kicks last night, i was fucking furious. they needed to win by 3 goals over Nicaragua or they were going to finish second in the group and have to play Costa Rica in the quarterfinals. amazingly, they scored in the 88th minute to win the game 3-0. this team can't do anything easy to save its' fucking life.

Manchester United scored early and often last night in a victory over LA Galaxy 5-2. that's a good start for their preseason tour. they next play on Monday.

i only had 2 of the 3 victory drinks last night. figured i'd carry one over to today.

ROH was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, Twin Peaks, I'm Dying Up Here and The Strain.

i did a little poetry work this morning. i think the submission coming up this week will be 30 poems now. i guess that's the one good thing about constantly writing. when you find a new place to send to, you actually have fresh shit to send them.

we were actually able to open up the windows a little bit yesterday. i guess the humidity is returning today.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

nothing quite like angry sleep

as i have grown older, i have really begun to dislike games between the Yankees and Red Sox. mostly because they take forever. last night was no different. when the Yankees closer couldn't any out to begin the bottom of the 9th (two infield singles), i knew doom was coming. the bullpen was supposed to be the strength of this team this year. time and time again this season, they have pissed away lead after lead. and to give up the winning run on a fucking walk is mind boggling to me. i'd rather watch paint dry than that again. New York lost 5-4. they play Boston against this afternoon. hopefully, i'll have something better to do.

after that debacle, i turned on some loud music and started to go through the unpublished poems file. i think i have my next round of submissions set up. 19 poems this time around. i'm shooting for Tuesday most likely.

NJPW was excellent last night. i could watch Will Ospreay wrestle Kushida forever and never get tired of it.

VICE was very good last night. it clearly showed how Turkey is becoming the latest dictatorship. hopefully old fuck face Trump wasn't watching to get any ideas of how he could become President until he dies.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

team USA has a pretty simple mission today in the Gold Cup. beat Nicaragua and you should win your group. it's just that i don't know if this team is really capable of doing what it needs to do the easiest way possible. when you play down to your competition's level, disaster is always just one fuck up away. and it's obvious that FOX didn't think this game was going to mean anything since it's going to be on FXX.

Manchester United plays a preseason friendly tonight against Los Angeles Galaxy. that game will be on ESPN2. i'll be watching.

i believe my sister is coming down here for a little bit today. hopefully i can get her to buy some broadsides.

i'll be on here tomorrow before the first game of the Yankees doubleheader. hopefully, i will be in a better mood.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

that fresh sunburn kind of feel

so, i was trying to get to bed kind of early last night and around 11:30, i started to smell something. i started to walk around the house and quickly realized there has to be a fucking skunk somewhere outside. we had the air conditioning on and well, just fuck me. so much for getting to sleep early.

i didn't sleep well at all last night. maybe just 2 or 3 hours at a time. but, i was up and showered and made it to the doctor's office on time. the doctor was very pleased with me. my weight is down. my A1C was excellent. my blood pressure was very good. he even gave me the option to give up one of the pills i'm on for Type 2 Diabetes but i decided to keep things the same for now. i'd like to see if my weight continues to go down if my A1C will follow.

the grocery store this morning was a little crazy. plenty of people trying to get all the shopping done before the heat of the day and while it isn't fucking raining. amazingly, i got everything on the list and kept it under $90. mom was shocked when she saw the receipt.

she then had me go to the drugstore to return one thing and find another. i had to get some shit while i was there as well. so that was my morning and early afternoon.

time for a fucking nap.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. Cody got evicted, although i'm pretty sure the producers would love to see him comeback in a week. Alex is the new HOH, so it could be an interesting week.

the 30 for 30: Mike and The Mad Dog was pretty good last night. if you ever want to know why sports talk radio is the way it is, blame those two.

Vice News Tonight had another excellent week of shows.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade last night. here are the links:
Cris Jacobs - Dust to Gold
Jordan Lovelis - MYSTERY'S TEETH

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE and NJPW.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight up in Boston. a sweep could go a long way to getting back into the race for the division. but, if they get swept and given the Yankees injuries, it may be time to turn the season over to the kids.

i will be on here early tomorrow. there is a ton happening in the afternoon and evening, so look for me in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great start to their weekend.

not enough hours in the day

i'm not quite sure what the fuck i was dreaming about last night. there was this black woman i wrote about in a poem yesterday, two pieces of moldy bread, a waterfall in South Asia, a gypsy telling me about my death and a hippie playing an acoustic guitar. i only had one damn drink last night. i figure i'm either getting ready to snap or that coconut rum had more than just coconut in it.

there was so much on television last night that i ended up having to watch some of it this morning. i have to find time to sneak in a nap here and there.

i wasn't too happy with how the USA played last night against Martinique. they struggled for most of the game and once again had a let down when they scored. you can't have a team that is like that come back from down 2-0 to make it 2-2 in just a matter of minutes. thank god Jordan Morris found some of his old form last night to score the winner. a 3-2 win with way too many questions to be answered. they better find those answers soon if they actually want to win the Gold Cup.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night.

NXT was really good last night.

Snowfall was amazing last night.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty funny last night.

Big Brother was fucking hilarious last night. hopefully Cody will be voted out tonight.

Part 4 of The Defiant Ones last night was pretty good. overall, i think if you are young and don't know much about the history of music, this series would be an excellent start for you. as for myself, it was good to reminisce over a time in music that i loved and grew up in.

hazy hot and humid

i made sure to wear light colored clothes today as i knew i was going to be outside a little and it was supposed to be around 90 with a completely unbearable humidity. so i broke out my bright ass yellow t-shirt, figuring that should do the trick. walking just 10 feet from the parking lot to the pizza place mom and i went for lunch, i was sweating like a crook walking into church.

i did do a little poetry writing last night and this afternoon. in total, i typed up 7 poems this afternoon. i really like a few of them. i have enough for another round of submissions, so you have been warned.

i did watch a little of the All-Star game last night. ex-Yankee Robinson Cano hit the go ahead home run in the 10th inning (50 years to the day that Tony Perez hit a home run in extra innings of the All-Star game in 1967) and ex-Yankee Andrew Miller got the save as the American League won 2-1.

Deadliest Catch was crazy last night. there's no way you would catch me doing anything in a fucking arctic hurricane.

Smackdown was pretty good last night.

205 Live was pretty good as well.

The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.

The Defiant Ones, Part 3 was mostly about the rap war in the early 90's. i also enjoyed the behind the scenes stories on how Interscope Records signed Nine Inch Nails away from TVT Records.

enjoy some music:

i'm really hoping that the boys have their heads on straight tonight and are ready to dominate when the USA plays Martinique tonight in the Gold Cup.

mom did pretty good today. amazingly, the place where she had her doctor's appointment and had to get some blood work done was running smoothly today. i just wish she could actually get some sleep at night. she more or less sleeps only in the day now.

i will be on here tomorrow before i take mom to her physical therapy appointment. hopefully the storms tomorrow aren't as bad as yesterday's storms were. there are still some people in this county without power.

nothing quite like running a vacuum during a damn tornado

well, not quite a tornado but the wind was whipping somewhere around 80 mph while i was running the vacuum in the kitchen. i had to vacuum the whole house today because mom sneezed. i truly love that she is getting crazier as she gets older. like she's going to out-crazy me. please.

the storm knocked down some huge limbs here in the cul-de-sac. i had some solar lights come out of the ground. and of course that's in the part of our front yard that floods.

i did watch a good portion of the Home Run Derby last night. if the world didn't know about Aaron Judge before last night, they sure as hell know who is now.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i especially liked that they decided to keep Samoa Joe in the main event picture. and thank god the Kurt Angle drama will come to a head next week.

The Defiant Ones, Part 2 last night was mostly about N.W.A. i can still remember exactly where i was the first time i heard Fuck Tha Police.

i did write one poem last night after mom's physical therapy session. i haven't typed it up yet. i'm hoping a few more pop in my head before the end of the week.

i had a pretty good trip to the bank yesterday. the one teller that sort of knows who i am, who just happens to be this cute black woman as well, was the one working yesterday. she saw me walk up and smiled. i figure i'm reading too much into that. i made a quick one liner that made her laugh, which i took as a good sign. not good enough for me to engage further or anything. but... she did call me Mr. Campbell when she handed me my receipt. that's a good way to make me feel fucking old.

so much still to do

i've got about a million things i want to get done before i have to take my mother to her physical therapy today. a shower, a shave and a trip to the bank are at the top of the list.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 5-3.  they are 45-41 at the All Star break. i remember when they used to be 15 games over .500. oh well. i will probably watch some of the Home Run Derby tonight, just to see Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez.

WWE Great Balls of Fire was excellent last night. it looked like it was going to be a good one on paper and for the first time in a long time, it was better. the ambulance match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman was great. hopefully it was the double turn that all of us older fans thought it was. Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar was pretty good, even though i was hoping Joe was going to do a little more damage in the match. the tag team title iron man match was way better than it should have been. all in all, i really have no complaints.

part 1 of The Defiant Ones last night on HBO was excellent. even though i knew most of it, it was great to see some of the old footage of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. hopefully part 2 tonight is just as good.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i think Cody knows he's dead man walking.

Power was great last night. next week's episode looks to be even better.

Twin Peaks was fucking crazy once again last night. i love just how surreal this show is.

I'm Dying Up Here was really good last night.

the end of an era

so i woke up to news this morning that i was expecting. that doesn't mean it didn't bring back a flood of memories. thanks for all the great times. thanks for the greatest goal i have ever seen. thanks for all the trophies you helped lift. and thanks for the last 13 years. you will always be a legend.

i wasn't that happy with team USA yesterday. the 1-1 draw with Panama probably should have been a loss. the midfield played like shit for most of the game and for some fucking reason, it felt like the team took a step back once Dom Dwyer scored to put them ahead. i do know one thing, Dom Dwyer is the striker they have been missing for years.

say hello to the next Yankee legend, Clint Frazier...
hopefully the Yankees will actually win today to win a damn series before the All Star break.

ROH was very good last night.

Tour de Pharmacy was so fucking stupid it was great last night. as one reviewer put it, it was a long SNL skit about cycling and dick jokes. pretty much.

a couple hundred dollars later...

so mom and i walked around Meijer for probably 90 minutes this morning. we found plenty of shit we needed, plus a few things we probably didn't. mom was dead tired by the time we were done. i told her to think of it like this... if each of your physical therapy sessions are 30 minutes, you just did three of them in a row. i then had to get gas and pick up some prescriptions at the grocery store before we went back home. i know things are bad when a pharmacist is working the cash register. i was expecting 6 things for mom, only got 3 of them. i really wasn't in the mood to inquire why after standing in line for 20 minutes.

the picture frame i got today worked out great for the autographed poster of SEE i have. that will probably go up around all my music shit. i also got some more Batman shit and another sign for my bar. everything i got was on sale. and most of what mom got today was medical related, so that's why the bill was over $200.

NJPW last night was night 2 from the G1 special from last week. it was excellent. Kenny Omega is honestly having the best year of any pro wrestler. between the matches with Okada and the matches he had in the US title tournament, for my money, he's the best going today.

the New York Yankees had a lead yesterday, but of course, the bullpen can't stop shit at the moment. they turned a 4-2 lead into a 9-4 loss. they are in the process of losing again today. it's 3-2 going into the bottom of the 9th. i'm sure it will be over before i finish this fucking thing.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Tour de Pharmacy and ROH.

holy shit, Clint Frazier just hit a 3 run home run to give the Yankees a 5-3 walk off win. i'm going to enjoy the fuck out of some alcohol tonight.

team USA starts the Gold Cup today against Panama. hopefully i will be getting that second round of alcohol after this one.

i will be probably on here in the morning tomorrow. hopefully still a little drunk.

i will most likely do a little writing tonight. i had a line come to me this morning while i was taking a shit that i will have to turn into something. enjoy that visual.

time to build the ark

i believe we are well over 2 inches of rain today. that was after some places around here had as much as 4 inches yesterday. oh joy.

i got my ass in gear this morning and decided to get the grocery shopping done before mom had her doctor's appointment. i was able to get everything and keep it under $100, thanks to about $25 in coupons. mom liked that.

i did almost get busted in the grocery store for being a pervert. this beautiful black woman had a summer dress that had both of her shoulders exposed. for some reason, a bare shoulder on a woman is an incredible turn on for me. at least i didn't start to drool.

mom's doctor's appointment went well. i stayed out in the waiting room and wrote. i ended up writing 6 poems, all of which are now typed up. i really, really like a few of them.

Big Brother was really good last night. it was so great to see the shocked faces when Jillian got evicted by a vote of 8-4. the shocked ones thought for sure it was going to be a tie and Cody was going to get to evict Christmas. even better, Paul is the new HOH. god i hope Cody or Jessica get evicted this week.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW.

i believe mom and i are going to go shopping in the morning. i'm very interested to see how she will do out and about with the new hip. she wants to get some new clothes as she has lost weight.

speaking of losing weight, i think i'm down about 30 lbs. now. i still have a long way to go, especially when i'm not really trying to lose the weight. eat less and do more. what a concept.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight at home against Milwaukee. the Yankees could really use a couple victories before the All Star break.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before the USA takes on Panama in the Gold Cup. i'd love to see this young squad do well in this tournament.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. the weather this weekend is supposed to be nice here after the rain finally leaves. i'll fucking believe that when i see it.

so much for a sunny day...

when i went out to get the newspaper this morning, it was already muggy as hell. i looked at the clouds and figured we might get a little rain. about 45 minutes later, it was fucking pouring. 3 hours after that, still fucking pouring. we don't get showers anymore, we get flood warnings. at least the grass got cut yesterday. i suppose i really shouldn't have put out the new solar lights and all the bird food. oh well.

the trip to Menards was pretty good yesterday. i found most of what i was looking for, plus a few things that were cheaper than at the grocery store. i kept it under $100, so mom was pleased.

the New York Yankees pissed away a great comeback yesterday and lost 7-6 to Toronto. thank fucking god they are off today. they start a series against the Brewers to take them into the All Star break.

NXT was really good last night. the match between Roderick Strong and Bobby Roode was excellent.

Lucha Underground was good last night.

Snowfall was outstanding last night. i usually will give any new show on FX a try and i'm so happy i decided to watch this one. i will definitely watch this whole season. between the music, the drugs and the acting, fucking fantastic.

Big Brother was hilarious last night. i loved the look on Cody's face when he tried to nominate Paul. i really hope Christmas doesn't get voted out tonight, but who knows.

mom has her second physical therapy session this evening. i believe it's going to be on a Monday and Thursday rotation for the next few weeks.

even a hot shower didn't help

i knew i had to get up early this morning as mom had a doctor's appointment. so, i was hoping the hot shower i took at 1 in the morning was going to loosen me up and help me sleep. so much for hope. i might have got a couple hours at best. and when i did get up this morning, both of my shoulders and my neck felt like i tried to sleep in a position as close to me sticking my head up my own ass as possible. enjoy that visual.

the doctor's appointment was almost 5 minutes long. he wanted to see how the incision was coming along and to know if mom was in any pain. he really thinks the spot above mom's incision is getting better. so much so, that she doesn't have to go back until August. hopefully by then, the spot will be gone.

the New York Yankees didn't do much of anything yesterday in a 4-1 loss. Aaron Judge hit a home run and that was about it. hopefully they will win this afternoon and actually win a series for the first time in a month.

Smackdown was really good last night. the rap battle between The New Day and The Usos was way better than what i thought it was going to be.

205 Live was really good last night as well.

Deadliest Catch was excellent last night. i could just imagine the number of people watching the show that had no clue about Dutch Harbor being bombed in WWII. or the fact that the Japanese occupied a couple of the islands in Alaska during that time.

i did see some fireworks last night. they really don't do much for me unless i'm high.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast. you can find that by going here:

i did watch the hot dog eating contest yesterday. amazingly, i had some hot dogs for dinner last night.

i absolutely loved the two signings the Sacramento Kings made yesterday. adding veterans George Hill and Zach Randolph to this group of kids should be great.

i will probably end up going to Menards today. i'm tempted to go while the Yankees are playing, seeing that they usually play better when i don't watch. i know i need to get some suet and some other bird food. plus, i think they have some solar lights on sale.

i'll be on here tomorrow before my mother's physical therapy session.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

response from Live Nude Poems

i heard back from Rusty at Live Nude Poems on my recent poetry submission. my poem "admire those long legs" has been accepted for publication. it should appear in the next week or so.

hope you have a wonderful 4th of July

i'm less than 5 hours into mine and i already know mine is going to fucking suck. apparently, it's my fault my mother doesn't feel good today. my fault that it is hot and her Meniere's Disease is fucking with her. my fault her incision isn't healing as fast as she wants. my fault she isn't sleeping well. my fault she wants to be a fucking martyr and not take the pain pills... as you can imagine, seeing that i really don't have any good memories of any holiday in my life, today is going to be another one where i'll feel best alone in my room with a bottle of something strong. good times.

a little poetry news to get out of the way. i heard back from Alan at The Recusant on my poetry submission from last December. they liked the poems but decided they weren't for them. he wished me best of luck getting them placed elsewhere. i will probably need it as most of the poems were written right after the last election. joy.

the New York Yankees tried to give the game away late last night. thankfully, they didn't. they beat Toronto 6-3. hopefully they will make it two in a row this afternoon.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i thought they did a decent job building for the WWE Great Balls of Fire event this Sunday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i imagine at some point tonight i'll probably watch some fireworks on television as well.

i figure most of today is going to be laundry, watching baseball, cooking hot dogs and playing a passive/aggressive game with my mother. can't fucking wait.

i hope everyone has a great 4th of July. enjoy the fireworks, the beaches, the alcohol, whatever the fuck you're doing to celebrate whatever you are celebrating today.
