i went down to the crossroads

so we didn't end up going to the basketball game last night. mom didn't feel good and with how she gets dizzy at times, there was zero chance i was going to leave her alone. so we ended up watching the Dayton Flyers game on the television.

i told my mom that they were giving rally towels away at the game and she laughed. i chuckled as i could see in 2 hours old men going around to collect the towels left behind. Dyshawn Pierre came to play last night, scoring 26 points, 1 shy of his career high. Dayton got killed on the boards by George Washington, but it didn't matter. Dayton only had 6 turnovers and only missed one free throw. that's a recipe for winning. plus, it never hurts to win on national television. Dayton 77 George Washington 70.

after the game, it was time for the Friday night shows. Undateable was fucking hilarious, as always. plus, it was nice to see Weezer as the house band this episode. Treehouse Masters was good. i'm amazed at the amount of money people have to blow on a treehouse. of course, if i had fuck you money and trees, i'd probably do the same thing. NJPW was really good. it should be interesting to see who replaces Mauro Ranallo on this now that he's doing WWE Smackdown.

the New York Rangers play at Philadelphia this afternoon. hopefully they get a win and can start putting together a good streak.

i figure i will watch the NFL playoff games today. i have Kansas City and Arizona winning.

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH and Austin City Limits.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays at Liverpool. i'll either be really happy or totally fucking pissed.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

the whole left side of my body feels like it is...

in my life i have broken my left wrist (in 2 places), my left foot (almost needed a screw in it) and had my whole left leg roto-rootered when i had a blood clot that was from my calf to my hip. so when it rains, like today, or goes from the upper 40's to the teens my whole left side feels like i'm being fucking electrocuted. slowly and by some fucking incompetent asshole. sadly, i realize that asshole is me.

i need to make this quick as i am running late.

the New York Rangers lost last night 3-1 to the fucking Islanders. it was the first time the Rangers lost a game after leading after 2 periods. not exactly the way i wanted to start the road trip.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night. so was Life in Pieces. Lip Sync Battle was pretty good as well.

WWE Smackdown was good last night. as i have said before, i could watch Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens wrestle for the next decade and not get bored. so now that it appears they are going to be the feud that Smackdown is going to revolve around, i'm looking forward to that.

on the DVR tonight will be Undateable, Treehouse Masters and NJPW.

i guess we're going to try to go to the Dayton Flyers game tonight. it should be an interesting one against George Washington, probably the other "good" A10 team other than Dayton. it's on national television on ESPN2.

we're not going to try to go to the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night. i think my sister will be able to find two other people to go with her. between the weather, my aches and pains and my mother's Meniere's Disease, sometimes it's just too much to deal with.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to get really fucking cold here, so god willing the furnace will keep running.

signs of life

the sun is actually out today and the rumor is it actually hit 40 degrees. i wouldn't know of course, as i have spent the majority of my day in my room. the life of a poet, so fucking fascinating.

i sent out 14 poems today; 3 to Dead Snakes, 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash and 6 to Bad Acid Laboratories. when i hear back from these places i will pass on the verdicts.

about halfway through the finale of American Horror Story last night, i was thinking what the fuck is this? but, just when i thought it was going to be shit, here comes a wonderful murder scene set to a Marianne Faithfull song. perfection. i really enjoyed the finale from that part on. i'm interested to see where the series goes next.

NXT was really good last night. i didn't agree with all the award winners, but i don't think there could be a "bad" choice in any of the categories. i did enjoy the women's battle royal. it should be interesting to see best friends go against each other in Carmella vs. Bayley. plus, i can't wait to see Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe go at it.

i will probably be on here early tomorrow as i figure mom and i are going to try to go to the Dayton Flyers game tomorrow night. of course, if we don't, the game is on ESPN2.

these old bones aren't made for the winter

i think we're definitely going to have to get new windows for the house before too long. we have the furnace set at 72. there were parts of the house, especially the kitchen, that was down to 51 by this morning. the kitchen has 8 windows and i think they all are over 20 years old. good times. i didn't sleep well at all last night. i think i was up every two hours or so. not fun. i haven't even been outside yet to get the trash cans, paper or the mail. i was hoping to take a nap before i did that but now i know i need to do it after i get this done.

when i heard that Dayton was going to play last night without their leading scorer, Charles Cooke (strained oblique muscle), i was a bit concerned. thankfully, Scoochie finally started to make some shots and Dayton was only down by 3 at halftime. Davidson finally started to miss and Dayton caught fire from 3 on a 19-0 run in the second half that should have sealed the game. of course, human nature set in and Dayton allowed Davidson back in the game. Dayton made just enough free throws down the stretch to hang on, 80-74. they next play at home on Friday against George Washington.

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of American Horror Story: Hotel. i am really looking forward to this episode tonight.

i'll also be watching NXT tonight on WWE Network.

i did a little poetry work this afternoon. i think i have 14 poems or so ready to send out tomorrow. so it looks like it will be a morning of typing.

almost felt good to shovel snow again, almost...

we got a couple of inches of snow overnight, along with some wind. the firefighter that lives on our street comes by and cleans off the driveways and sidewalks. he usually does that in the morning. the wind didn't stop until this afternoon, when something called the sun came out. so, before that thing called the sun went back down, i shoveled the driveway and got the trash out. it felt good to get some cold air into the lungs and work up a little bit of a sweat. and thankfully, i didn't slip and fall on my ass.

but, mom and i decided we didn't want to fuck around with the ice and cold tonight, so we're not going to the Dayton Flyers basketball game. i imagine if it wasn't on tv, we would be going though.

i was interested to see how Manchester United would play today. when they got up 2-0 on Newcastle, i was thinking things were going to be good. silly me. when a great goal from Wayne Rooney (his second of the game) put them up 3-2, i was thinking they would win. silly me. sure, a 3-3 draw on the road is better than a loss to yet another team fighting relegation, but it certainly doesn't feel good. this is quickly turning into another season of what could have been.

Monday Night Raw was decent last night up until the main event. i enjoyed Kalisto winning the US title and the ongoing war between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose. but, they buried Roman Reigns once again by showing that he couldn't beat Kevin Owens as easily as the average fan thinks he could. by the end of the match, Roman was getting booed and Kevin was getting cheers. now, if they are planning on putting the title on KO, i'm all for it, but i highly doubt that's happening. and then to have Brock Lesnar come out and destroy everyone, including the champion, it was just too fucking obvious to make much sense. what could have been a really good show ends up feeling mediocre because of a shitty main event. thankfully, the Stone Cold Podcast with my favorite wrestler of all-time, Ric Flair, was really good. i love those old stories of him and Dusty Rhodes. that was on the WWE Network.

the New York Rangers did something last night they hadn't done all season. they came from behind in the third period and actually won for a change. a HUGE 2-1 victory over Boston that will hopefully get the ball rolling in the right direction once again.

if that really is the final picture of David Bowie, that might make me happy for years to come. as one person wrote today, his death was like his life, a work of art.

instead of watching the State of the Union tonight i will be watching the Dayton Flyers take on Davidson. this is a must win game for Dayton after that last loss to a shitty LaSalle team. plus, since they are at home, they really need to win.

i ordered myself a webcam last night off of Amazon.com. after cashing in some codes and whatnot, i got a $100 camera for a little more than $6. it should be here around my birthday. hopefully it works well enough that i can start doing more videos and maybe even get my lazy ass on Skype.

it is supposed to get down to the single digits tonight, so i'm very interested to see how the furnace runs tonight.

that's all for me today. i hope this finds everyone warm and realizing they still have time to send me a birthday gift.

he simply left this planet to go back to his own

i woke up this morning to the news that David Bowie was dead. to say it caught me off guard would be a understatement. with the release of the new album and the videos, i never knew anything was wrong. of course, i wasn't supposed to know. to find out it was cancer that killed him pisses me off even more. i've watched that disease take so many of my family and people that have inspired what little creativity i have... it's fucking infuriating. this won't be my usual Monday blog. this will be more of a drown the sorrows with some brilliant music.

i knew i had a poem with David Bowie's name in the title and it was published somewhere. after some digging, i found it. i will share it with you now. "a david bowie afterworld" was first published in Fox Chase Review in the Summer of 2011.

a david bowie afterworld

sometimes i'll close
my eyes and imagine
i'm in a david bowie
afterworld

but all the vibrant colors
of ziggy have faded to
a sulky gray

nothingness chokes the
air as i sense a sense of
fear grabbing my throat

and the struggle for air
is nothing compared to
my struggle to think
i'm relevant

the struggle to believe

the struggle to self-medicate
all the various television
illnesses that clog my brain

and i sadly stumble upon
the notion that i have ended
up in the place where dreams
go to die

and with each drop of alcohol

i grow content in knowing

death can't be far behind
--------------------------------------------------------------------

enjoy the trip David. thank you for your music and every little crazy thing you did to push the buttons of everyone.

ladies and gentlemen, snow

i woke up at 4 in the morning and looked at my clock and said fuck you. thankfully, i was able to fall back to sleep and woke up again sometime around 9. when i sat up, my lower back started to scream in agony. i figured it had to be snowing. sure enough, it was. now i think it's only an inch or so. but with winds around 40 mph, things could get a little interesting out there. i figure once i get done with this, i'll be the lucky one to go out and get the newspaper. good times.

i did watch most of the playoff games last night in the NFL. it's scary to think the Bengals haven't won a playoff game since i was a freshman in high school. after watching them piss away the lead last night in the final minutes, it's easy to believe they may never win one again. as soon as they took the lead, i looked over at my mother and said, now watch them find a way to fuck this up. sure enough. i did pick both games correct. i've got Seattle and Washington today.

Austin City Limits was great last night. i really enjoy when a rapper plays with a live band. it makes the music much more dynamic. and quite honestly, i think Kendrick Lamar is one of the best in the world doing it at this moment.

ROH was spectacular last night. the main event alone was worth staying up for.
and i couldn't be happier with who won that main event either.

these are the days my 8 year old self was trying to warn me about

it was actually pretty warm this morning, nearly 50 degrees. of course, it was also really damp and just nasty out. i figured i better take advantage and get the damn Christmas lights down. they are saying we're going to get snow by tomorrow night. sure, why not. i also made sure to feed the birds as i figured they will panic if it does snow.

then my clusterfuck afternoon could begin. first up was Manchester United. i was really hoping that the last game was a sign that they had turned the corner and was going to play attractive attacking football/soccer from now on. fuck me, i was wrong. in one of the most boring games of this season, and that's saying something given how fucking boring they have been this season, United went to stoppage time at 0-0. unbelievably, a defender from Sheffield United took down Memphis in the box and Manchester United was given a chance to win that they absolutely did not deserve. don't get me wrong, it was a penalty kick for sure, but the boys didn't do a fucking positive thing in this game. Wayne Rooney buried the pk and Manchester United moves on to the 4th round of the FA Cup. thank god there won't be a replay of this boring ass game.

next up was the New York Rangers. they were trailing Washington by 2 goals going into the 3rd period. i was very happy to see the Rangers show a little fucking pride and score 3 goals to take the lead in the 3rd. and then with 5 seconds left, Washington tied the game. ok, shit happens. at least they will get a point out of the game. the Rangers had a glorious chance to win in OT, but Holtby made a save on Stepan and of course, that fucking asshole Ovechkin took it the length of the ice to score the game winner. well, at least he won't score his 500th goal against us. Rangers lose 4-3.

and that brings me to the Dayton Flyers. Dayton was up early on LaSalle 13-4 and i was thinking good, the boys are on a mission in this game. fuck me, i was wrong again. Dayton missed shot after shot and crumbled down the stretch. i guess the curse of being ranked strikes again. Dayton loses at LaSalle (who was 4-8 by the way, 7 straight losses) 61-57.

needless to say, i'm going to be fucking pissed for the rest of the day and probably the rest of the fucking weekend now.

i did watch Undateable last night. it was fucking hilarious.

not sure if i'm going to watch playoff football the rest of the day or watch Lemmy's funeral on YouTube. they are streaming his funeral service, which is incredibly cool.

i will be on here sometime tomorrow morning probably, as i figure i have a ton of laundry and writing to do tomorrow. and if it does snow, i might have to break out the shovel. always fun for a bad back.

waking up with an elephant on your back

i woke up this morning after some horrific dreams of my death or life or whatever the fuck it was, and my back was absolutely killing me. like an entire zoo of animals was on it. i asked my mother if a cold front moved through overnight and she said it was raining currently. i suppose if i'm ever going to escape the rain i have to move to a desert. not the greatest choice for a guy with sensitive skin. figures.

i did enjoy WWE Smackdown last night. i think having Mauro Ranallo do play by play will help the show by leaps and bounds. it won't be long until fans will want him to do Monday Night Raw as well. also, honestly, i could watch Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose fight for years and never get bored. 2 wrestlers that understand the little details of ring psychology and why it fucking matters.

The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night. so was Life in Pieces. and i'm sure by now, if you are even slightly aware of pop culture, you know all about what happened on Lip Sync Battle last night.
and those two videos aren't even the best parts of the show. if you really want to laugh your ass off, i highly recommend the episode.

the grocery store was exhausting yesterday. not only because we had to get shit for next door, but mom was in shopping mode and i am rarely, if ever, in a mood for that. amazingly, we did manage to keep everything under $150.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Undateable. i have truly missed that show.

so imagine my surprise when mom was away at her doctor's appointment this morning and the doorbell rings and i'm sitting at the computer in just my shorts. i threw on a shirt and went to the door to find a large package. i put on some shoes and brought it in. thankfully, we have just enough cover near our front door that it didn't get wet. when mom got back she told me to open it. trust me, tape, scissors and arthritis are a deadly combination at times. i finally got the package open and it was this music player that is made to look like an old time record player. it plays vinyl, cassettes, cd's, Bluetooth, the radio and even has a cd burner on it. it sounds pretty good. i amazed myself this afternoon as i figured out the Bluetooth part of it. that should come in handy as i have probably over a couple thousand songs on my computer. so, i figure that is my birthday gift from her. it will definitely get used, probably this weekend.

tomorrow is going to be a giant clusterfuck for me. roughly on around the same time will be Manchester United in FA Cup play, the New York Rangers take on Washington and the Dayton Flyers play at La Salle. so, my blog for tomorrow is going to come after all that is over.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. it sounds like it is going to be fucking miserable here; ice, rain, wind, maybe snow, so i'm really hoping my sports teams win and i can drink it all away.

yes, i know i am on the road to nowhere. but i'm bound to leave behind a few things for you to remember me by.

oh how i missed you crown royal

i dropped the ball last night. i completely forgot that American Horror Story was on. thankfully, my DVR didn't forget. talk about a stunning episode to set up the finale. i was on the edge of my chair the entire episode. i can't wait for the finale.

the Dayton Flyers were without one of their key players last night. i guess Kendall Pollard strained his Achilles the day before and they were being extra cautious with him, as he sat on the bench in a walking boot. it was his 21st birthday as well. last year, this would have meant doom for the Flyers. this year, oh well. Dayton destroyed UMass 93-63. Dayton had 6 players score in double figures and were able to rest their starters for much of the second half. it was so nice to finally see a blowout. Dayton next plays on Saturday at La Salle.

we went to Waffle House after the game. we were the only ones there. i might have a poem or two about that later on, not sure. when we got home, instead of a victory beer i decided to make a mixed drink. so i broke out a bottle of crown royal i've been meaning to open and some coke. after the first few sips, i remember why i used to drink crown and coke all the time when i was younger. instead of really fucking me up, it always was like an energy drink. that could explain why i was up at 4 in the morning watching wrestling.

NXT was another best of show. i believe next week will be the results of the voting for the 2015 best of's. hopefully there will be some new shows before too long.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be WWE Smackdown, The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces and Lip Sync Battle.

i believe mom and i are going to the grocery store here in a few minutes. i'm down to 2 bottles of beer and the freezer is almost barren. i think we need to buy some things.

the injury bug has bitten my fantasy hockey team once again. and just as i have reached the top 4 in the league. so now i'm in scramble mode. i'm not sure yet how i feel about one of my defensemen being traded to Columbus. it might help his ice time, but i know his plus/minus is going to go to shit.

i got the autograph i bought from Steiner Sports in the mail today. i can't wait to find a frame for it and get it up on a wall. i'll take a picture of it once i do that.

that's all for me kids. i'll be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon most likely.

sucking the marrow out of life

i decided to do a little writing last night. i really didn't have anything that i just had to get down on the page. from time to time, i like to challenge myself and see what i can come up with out of nowhere. often, it's just shit. every blue moon, i get a good one. i think i may have a couple of gems out of the 5 poems i typed up this morning. i suppose only time will tell.

the New York Rangers whipped Dallas last night 6-2. it was the best i had seen the Rangers play in quite some time.

for those of you interested, Finland defeated Russia in OT yesterday to win the Gold medal at the World Juniors. i believe the Rangers prospect on Finland had the main assist on the winning goal.

i did watch TNA last night on Pop TV. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but it certainly wasn't as good as it could have been either. i don't mind EC3 as the World Champion, but honestly, who the fuck told Mike Bennett that the wrestling Jesus should dress like this:
needless to say, i won't be wasting my time much on TNA, kind of like the last 8 years or so.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it.
you can never go wrong with Adam Cole BAYBAY.

the Dayton Flyers take on UMass tonight at home. the game is on national television (CBS Sports Network). hopefully tonight isn't another last second thriller. but, given how they usually play when they are ranked, i'm not counting on an easy one.

i will watch NXT tonight when i get back home. i imagine it will be after another trip to Waffle House. NXT i think is another best of 2015 episode.

i suppose i should check and see if anything else is on tonight. the 2016 schedule hasn't sunk in just yet.

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. if i don't wake up in my usual cold winter pain, i might actually get one of the YouTube videos done and possibly work on some poems to send out for submissions before my birthday.

it was in the teens this morning. just as winter is starting to creep in it's supposed to warm back up into the 40's the next couple of days.

restless nights stuck in my head

i couldn't find a comfortable spot in my bed last night for anything. i tried drinking, writing, porn, talking myself to sleep, music, etc... none of it fucking worked. i guess sometime around 4 in the morning my body just turned itself off. 5 hours later i was up, sore, pissed off, in other words, a normal Tuesday morning.

i did write a poem last night. i haven't typed it up yet, so i'm not going to pass judgment on it. it's one of my vague/love poems that i tend to crank out from time to time.

the college basketball game last night between Oklahoma and Kansas was an instant classic. i was in and out of it all night long. i urge all of you to check out the highlights.

Monday Night Raw had some good moments last night. it also had some stupid fucking moments as well. it did do one thing, completely change the Royal Rumble coming up. to see the heavyweight title being defended in the rumble match could be very entertaining. of course, i'm sure they will fuck it up somehow.

after the show i read the news of the WWE signing 4 guys from NJPW. i didn't think much of the report until i read this morning of what happened on the show after NJPW had their Wrestle Kingdom 10. now i am getting ready to go totally nuts the day i see AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in a WWE ring. as i told one person last night, it surely would be a sign of the apocalypse. the other two guys in the report were Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. if they are planning on starting a new Bullet Club in WWE, i'm all for it. and they are bringing the two best to do it with. add in Finn Balor and a few other bad asses and good talkers and you have yourself programming for months and months.

yeah, i'm almost 40 and still love pro wrestling. get over it.

i got a chapbook in the mail from John Sweet today. i recommend every living soul on earth check out a nation of assholes w/guns. it is FUCKING BRILLIANT. here is a link to it on Amazon.com

i did watch team USA defeat Sweden today 8-3 to win the Bronze medal in the World Juniors. to be honest, it's better than coming home empty handed. the boys blew a 2 goal lead but came back strong to score the next 6 goals to put the game to bed. i have the Gold medal game on in the background. Finland and Russia are currently tied at 2 in the third period. i'd love to see some overtime.
(Finland just scored a power play goal with 2 minutes left in the game to go up 3-2)
(Russia just scored with 7 seconds left to tie the game at 3) and people wonder why i love hockey.

the New York Rangers play the Dallas Stars tonight at home. i really have no clue to how the Rangers are going to play. i figure the last game was shit, so maybe they will be good tonight. maybe.

i also need to do a little laundry and get the trash picked up. yet another exciting Tuesday.

i did find out my credit score today. my mother is a little pissed it is better than her score. ha ha.

hopefully this finds you doing some exciting or at the very least, mentally masturbating.

a shower can't wash away everything

i was all fired up for the hockey game this afternoon. USA vs. Russia. winner goes to the gold medal game. i had "lucky" clothes on, was in a good frame of mind and the voice was at full force. these are the days where i'm sure my mother wishes she didn't work from home. the USA scored first and had another shot hit the post in the first period. sadly, that would be the last time they would come close to really having a chance to score. size and skill, which was basically 2/3 of the Russian team, will always beat skill. that's one of those unwritten laws of hockey. Russia scored twice in the second period and more or less, just choked off the game from there. Russia won 2-1. third fucking year in a row they have defeated us in the World Juniors. the USA will play Sweden tomorrow morning for the Bronze medal. i'll be interested to see if either team gives a shit, seeing that both teams lost to a rival the day before.

so after the game i took a long shower. i was hoping the hot water on my back and neck would feel good. sadly, it didn't. it's finally winter here and sure enough, my back is tighter than shit. i did find it funny that the news were making it sound like a blizzard was coming this morning during the morning commute. we didn't get anything here other than frost.

i went 8-8 on my NFL picks yesterday. that pretty much sums up my picks all damn year as i was 19 games worse than last season. in my eyes, that's a complete fucking failure even though i was 151-105 for the regular season.

i have two YouTube videos in my head that just need to be filmed now. one is pretty simple. the other i'm trying to pull off some shit that i have never tried before. i'm trying to make 2016 the year where i don't give a shit about failing. we'll see.

i will be watching Monday Night Raw tonight and the season finale of Breaking Ground on WWE Network. i will also try to catch some college basketball tonight as well.

speaking of college basketball, i see that the Dayton Flyers are now number 25 in the AP Poll. it sucks as it always seems we end up losing as soon as we get ranked. hopefully that doesn't happen this Wednesday at home against UMass.

amazingly, the New Orleans Saints won yesterday 20-17. i was flipping between that and the heartbreak my mother had watching her Jets blow a chance at the playoffs. i know that made my sister happy, as she is a Steelers fan.

i will be on here tomorrow after the Bronze medal game. hopefully i will be in a good mood.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i think it's starting to sink in that it is 2016 now. 17 more days until i turn 40. or how a bumper sticker says it, until life begins.

look who remembered how to work his camera

some of the Christmas lights we put up this year. now that i loaded my camera on the new computer, maybe i'll actually start using it again.

sometimes the mood controls you

i was watching the New York Rangers piss away chance after chance last night and decided to just turn on some music. but instead of my usual mix of metal, rock, death metal and more rock, i decided to go back to my high school roots and play some R&B, hip hop, techno, etc. if i would have had a joint, it would have almost been a perfect evening. that is, if the Rangers would have ever scored.

the Rangers had 40 shots on goal last night. i have Florida's goalie on my hockey fantasy team, but decided not to use him as i didn't want to watch my Rangers lose but feel good that my fantasy team did well. my mistake. it's not that the shutout (3-0) would have helped me in fantasy hockey, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt. the Rangers just can't seem to put it all together game after game after game anymore. i think it might be time for a trade just for the sake of making a trade. wake the players up so to speak. who knows, but this is quickly becoming a season of what could have been.

thankfully, Austin City Limits was fucking amazing last night. i absolutely love Alabama Shakes. it's definitely one of the bands that makes me believe that great music still exists in the world. i've been torn on Vintage Trouble over the years. after watching them last night, i'm sold. i went on NoiseTrade and got the sampler and will now be a fan. this will hopefully be an episode that stays on my DVR for years.

ROH was excellent last night as well. it was really good to see Stevie Richards wrestling again. plus, they almost sold me on getting the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 tonight. but, i really don't feel like sitting at the computer at 3 in the morning watching wrestling. plus, i would probably prefer to listen in Japanese. but lord knows i will check the results when i wake up and probably be pissed that i missed the "match of the year" between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

the New Orleans Saints finish their season off today at Atlanta. if they win, they will avoid a 10 loss season. the game doesn't mean anything other than pride today. so the Saints will probably lose.

not sure which games i'll be watching today. most likely the Jets as mom will be most interested in that one.

i think i may do some writing tonight or maybe some more work for my next YouTube video. there's really nothing i'm planning on watching tonight, so i won't have any distractions other than a football game.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday night. hopefully your Sunday will be even better. there's a chance it might snow here tomorrow, so look out for some pictures possibly. i know i really should take one of the Christmas lights we have up before i'm ordered to take them down. i'm more of the fucker that would just leave them up all year. you know, the asshole with a Christmas tree on his front porch.

who really needs sleep anyway

i got up pretty early this morning, mostly because it's what i do anymore. as i told my mother last night, i can always sleep well when i die. i used to think that the alcohol helped me sleep better, but so far that isn't the case this year. but, like the stubborn fuck i am, i'll give it another try tonight.

Manchester United played a boring first half this morning against Swansea. then, i don't know what happened, but they came out on fire in the second half. Martial scored a beautiful header. then United did their usual look, we're leading, oh shit, they scored. but then the captain scored an amazing goal. holy shit, did i just type Wayne Rooney scored. it must be a new year. Manchester United wins 2-1.

team USA absolutely destroyed the Czech Republic today, 7-0 in the quarterfinals of the World Juniors. they will now play Russia on Monday to see who goes to the gold medal game. Russia won in OT today against Denmark. Russia has knocked the USA out of this tournament the last 2 years. needless to say, Monday, it is time for revenge.

the Dayton Flyers won today at Duquesne but the game might have set basketball back 100 years. neither team could throw the ball in the ocean in the first half. and the officiating was god fucking awful. who the fuck wants to watch a game where there are 50 fucking free throws attempted. and the numbers wouldn't have been close if Duquesne wouldn't have started fouling late to stop the clock. and if the officials were bad, the television announcers were even worse. but, as one fan put it, at least Dayton is now at the point where they can play like shit on the road and still win. Dayton wins 66-58.

on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.

the New York Rangers face a red hot Florida Panthers team tonight down in Florida. i believe if the Rangers win tonight it will be the first time they have won back to back games since November. hopefully they do win tonight.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow, before the last week of the NFL regular season.

i've got a video in my head for my next YouTube video. just trying to figure out how to shoot it. hopefully that will be done and go up before my birthday.

speaking of that, if anyone would like to get me anything for my 40th birthday, the link to the Amazon Wish List is on the right hand side of the blog. there are plenty of items on there less than $10. just sayin'.

i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. as always, call if you need bail money.
