sometimes, the hours just all bleed together...

i know my "normal" life will not exist for months now, given that my mother nearly died. the home health nurse came out today. they are sending someone on Friday to get mom's pills all in order so she can't forget to take something anymore. i know the next few weeks will be hectic as fuck as i have to take her to about 4 different doctors. and somewhere in all of that, i have to find the time to sell some baseball cards, write some poetry and maintain this blog. the odds of me dying by 50 are better than ever now. good times.

WWE Elimination Chamber was pretty good last night and definitely made the road to WrestleMania a little more interesting. of course, i would love to see The Miz lose the title tonight...

Axios was very good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Allen v. Farrow was kind of sad last night. as someone who was molested as a child, i could feel nothing but pain for almost the entire show.

Shameless was great last night. i always loved Fiona and the clips brought back some great memories.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

Batwoman was really good last night.

The Luminaries was good last night.

here are your links for this day of Black History Month:

my sister is back at her home now. she'll be coming down every couple weeks i guess.

i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to see her primary care doctor. i have a feeling that is going to be a long ass appointment.

i was gutted this morning when i saw that Daft Punk called it quits. the one techno group that truly never disappointed me. thanks for an amazing 28 years...

happy Juneteenth...

if you don't know what i am talking about, please crawl out from the rock you are living under and educate your ignorant ass so the world could possibly be a better place.

in a way, i'm almost happy i was never taught anything about Juneteenth in school. i say that because having educated myself on the matter, while it means the end of slavery, i know too damn well, it doesn't mean the end of oppression or the end of racism. i imagine if i would have learned about it as a child, i would be very naive to the reality of the world.

NXT UK was very good last night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Shelter in Place with Shane Smith was very good last night.

Holey Moley was hilarious last night.

Don't was fucking stupid as hell last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Real Time with Bill Maher.

Manchester United plays this afternoon at Tottenham. i'd love to see United get a victory today and pick up right where they left off when the shutdown hit.

i know i need to go get mom's pills, so that's all for me kids.

i may try to do some poetry work at some point today. i'd love to get some more poems out before the end of the month.

i wish everyone a great weekend. celebrate and honor and educate while always remembering your rights.

until tomorrow kids...

the winter blues...

so, the snow fucked the satellite last night and nothing that i watch on Wednesday recorded. so, i have spent most of today watching yesterday's shows on demand. talk about feeling like a fucking zombie.

we got almost 3 inches of snow. thankfully, the guys came by and cleared off everything, so i should be able to get to the grocery store tomorrow with no problems. (fingers crossed)

The Masked Singer was good. i have no clue why the Tiger is still on the fucking show.

NXT was good. i can't wait for Takeover: Portland this Sunday.

AEW was really good. the addition of Jeff Cobb should be really interesting.

Miz & Mrs was hilarious as usual.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, The Unicorn, Will & Grace, Indebted and Desus & Mero. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Minnesota. hopefully the boys find a way to get another victory.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

that's all for me kids..

and then someone takes your breath away...

the grocery store was rather interesting today. i ran into some people i have known since i was a child. of course, it has been probably a decade or so since we last spoke. that happened about 3 minutes after i walked in the store. i was going around in my usual fog trying to get everything on the list. i had to go back to the side of the store i started off on as i had forgot something mom added to the list. i usually try to be a good guy when i'm out in public, always allow the women to go first, etc. help old black ladies out reaching shit, stuff like that. i ran into this amazing looking woman 3 different times in the store. each time we both kind of smiled and if i was a smooth motherfucker, i'm sure i would have said something funny. instead, this woman simply took my breath away. i managed to crack what i believe is a smile but what i saw from her was a casual smile that i read as get this fucking creep away from me. and here i thought cleaning up the beard and taking a shower was going to be beneficial for me.

i figure that is why i bought some cinnamon schnapps in the liquor store today. i told mom a shot of that and she'll sleep for the entire weekend. hopefully it would knock out her cold that she is still battling.

the New York Rangers ran into a goalie that owns them last night and lost to the Islanders 3-0. the Rangers had 50 shots on goal in the game. it was simply one of those nights.

i did watch team USA defeat Slovakia last night 2-1 at the Winter Olympics. that sets up a pretty big game tomorrow morning against Russia.

Vice News Tonight was very fascinating last night. the entire episode was basically people talking in different groups about the #MeToo movement.

Lip Sync Battle was fucking stupid last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW, Celebrity Big Brother, Treehouse Masters, Real Time with Bill Maher, High Maintenance and 2 Dope Queens.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the FA Cup.

we had over 1.5 inches of rain last night. that cold front took the temperatures from 60 into the 30's. good times.

i guess tonight will probably be another night of drinking myself to sleep.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully the weather is better wherever you happen to be.

out slumming with the locals

mom wants lunch today to have a picnic feel for some fucking reason. so, she sent me to the local grocery store to get coleslaw, potato salad, etc. i just love going out in the fucking heat to have a bunch of backward thinking locals stare at me while i'm ordering 6 different things from the deli. i was encouraged to actually see a black girl and two Hispanic kids in the store while i was there. it would delight me beyond belief to see this community get more diverse. better yet, i would love to see all the racist people flee as it becomes more diverse.

the New York Yankees got some more great starting pitching last night and absolutely whipped Baltimore 16-3. it was the first time in over nine years the Yankees have had 4 straight games with 8 or more runs. hopefully today will become the 5th straight game as they go for the sweep.

i ended up watching a good amount of UFC last night. plenty of quick knockouts, that's for sure.

ROH last night was excellent. i would love to see a nice long feud between Adam Cole and Marty Scurll.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Silicon Valley, Veep, Last Week Tonight, Twin Peaks: The Return and I'm Dying Up Here.

i will be watching the USA men's national team try to win down in Mexico for most of tonight. if the USA can pull of the miracle, it will give them a much needed boost in their World Cup qualifying.

i might watch a little of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight, if Nashville is winning.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

happy birthday to the biggest crush i had in my life. i hope you are doing great, wherever you may be.

through a dense fog...

nothing like a thick ass fog to wake up to on the second day of 2017. of course, when it's near 50 degrees in January and the experts are saying there are thunderstorms coming, chaos should be expected.

the New Orleans Saints lost 38-32 yesterday to Atlanta. when Atlanta scored on their first 5 possessions, i stopped watching. nice of the Saints to make it close late, but a 7-9 record is probably exactly what this team deserved this season. it's sad, but they are wasting Drew Brees at this point. there has been 9 5,000 yards passing seasons in NFL history. Drew has 5 of them. as usual, on to next season.

i did watch a good bit of the outdoor hockey game yesterday between Toronto and Detroit. that was very entertaining. i watched a little of the Winter Classic today between Chicago and St. Louis as well. it looks like people still love these events.

i had seen Wishful Drinking before when it first came out on HBO, but watching it again last night was a mix of laughter and sadness. Carrie Fisher died way too early.

The Affair was great once again last night.

Manchester United got a gift in the 15th minute today against West Ham. a straight red card to a West Ham player for a foul that probably deserved nothing more than a yellow card at best. but, i'll gladly take it. with goals in the second half from Juan Mata and Zlatan Ibrahimvoc (he was obviously offside but another horrible call that actually went United's way for a change) United won 2-0. with Liverpool dropping points today, United is creeping closer to the top 4 of the league. this the best run of unbeaten games for United since the days of Sir Alex.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

team USA takes on Switzerland in the World Juniors here in a little bit. a win for the USA and they will advance to the medal round, setting up another showdown with Russia. but, first they MUST beat Switzerland.

i may get a wild hair up my ass tomorrow and send out some poems.

i think i'm 99.9% sure this will be my last year in fantasy football. i did absolutely awful this year. now i'll probably still pick games, but the head to head days look to be over.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon.

rain on the weekend

i could feel my bones start to ache while i was sleeping. i woke up this morning and felt everything inside of me crack at once. i could hear the rain outside of my window. i have no mirrors in my room. i already know what misery looks like.

i ended up writing 5 poems yesterday. i typed them up and really like them. the last one was particularly disturbing. i can't wait to see if that one gets published.

Euro 2016 Update:
Italy vs. Germany was a game of tactics yesterday. when Germany took the lead in the second half, i thought now it gets interesting. that was until Italy got that gift of a penalty kick from Jerome Boateng. 1-1 and i knew it, the game was going to go to penalty kicks. the shootout was amazing as much as it was odd. to see that many misses was crazy. i figured there would be some saves given that two of the best keepers in the world were going at it. amazingly, Germany won 6-5 in the 9th round of penalty kicks. well, that monkey is finally off of Germany's back. they obviously become the favorites now to win it all. today, France takes on the Cinderella story of Iceland. i'll root for Iceland just so i can possibly see history once again. the winner today takes on Germany in the semifinals.

the New York Yankees lost on a walk off home run last night, 2-1. i really think Joe Girardi could over manage a little league game if you gave him the chance. hopefully they get swept later today.

i just saw the advanced forecast for the days i'll be in Cleveland. figures the best day is the one we're leaving. thankfully, these things are usually wrong.

ROH last night was a look back on the first half of 2016. 3 great matches. i can't wait to see what the second half of 2016 produces.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan and Roadies.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast late last night. it was part 1 of his anniversary show. if you'd like to laugh your ass off, go here:

hello apathy, i remember you

so just as i was getting ready to get in bed last night, the news hits about that flight from Paris to Cairo. now, i'm a sucker for breaking news. i'm one of these assholes that wants to know what's going on at all times. so i was up until probably 2 in the morning or so, basically until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer. 4 hours of sleep, rinse and repeat. i was hoping to get some poetry work done but no... watching the news and sitting here at the computer, immersed in apathy. good times.

i think i'm going to take a shower after i get done writing this. maybe some cold or extremely hot water will jolt the system back into something other than its current state.

the New York Yankees actually won last night, 4-2. thank god. they start a 4 game series in Oakland tonight. joy, more west coast baseball.

Lucha Underground was really good last night.

NXT was excellent last night. anytime i get to watch Nakamura wrestle, i'm a happy man. plus, they showed the footage from a brawl between Balor and Samoa Joe that will mean the next chapter of their feud will be in a steel cage. that's a first for NXT.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.

i think mom finally took the car to get the check engine light checked on. i guess the dumb fucks forgot to put back a hose when they changed her air filter 2 weeks ago. she wasn't very happy.

i saw that team USA advanced to the semi-finals of the Hockey World Championships today with a shootout win over Czech Republic. i might have to have a drink for that one.

today's been one of those days where you get a song stuck in your head and you can't escape it to save your life. you'll see what my brain was chewing on all day long in the music section.

i'll have to keep my eye out for some packages being delivered to the house the next couple of days. what i ordered mom for her birthday should be coming soon. that saves me from having to do some last minute shit in June.

that's all for me today kids. i think i'm going to go take a nap in the shower. good times.
