i'm not really sure why we bother with changing the clocks these days. of course, i always laugh when they say on the news that we're losing a hour of sleep. right.
so, i did get both of my packages yesterday. the postal guy that delivers the mail crammed both in the mailbox. that didn't make me happy. thankfully, the tear in the one package was just to the outside, nothing inside. i did get some pretty good cards yesterday from Walk Off Wax, including my first ever graded card. of course, it had to be of a Red Sox player. i think i got around $50 worth of cards and i paid less than that for the packs, so i was pleased. i went through all the top loaders i got in my other package. mom bought me some more in her Amazon Prime order she did yesterday. so, i should have those on Tuesday.
the New York Yankees won yesterday over the Pirates yesterday, 7-5. they play the Blue Jays today.
the New York Rangers defeated Boston yesterday, 4-0. Panarin was back in the lineup and it certainly showed.
Austin City Limits was good last night. it was the episode with Steve Earle & The Dukes tribute to Guy Clark.
ROH was pretty good last night.

i will probably watch some college basketball today.
Manchester United plays West Ham this afternoon. hopefully, the boys will find a way to get a victory today.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
thanks to everyone that checked out my latest published poem:
so, nothing much happened here last night other than my sister throwing a passive aggressive tantrum over dinner. she said she was going to cook last night and then got pissed when it was past 8 o'clock and my mother and i started getting hungry. my sister was pissed that we didn't say something sooner. i didn't bother to chime in, as i know whenever i say i'm going to cook dinner, i always ask mom or whoever when they would like to have it. but, since my sister can't think of anyone other than herself when it comes to this family, we're at fault. my mother told me last night that my sister told her that she thinks i hate her. i chuckled and told my mother that's not my problem. so yeah, good times.
ROH was very good last night.
the Yankees lost yesterday to the Pirates, 3-2. they play the Phillies today.
the New York Rangers defeated the Devils yesterday, 6-3. that's 3 wins in a row now. they will try to make it 4 tonight at Pittsburgh.

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Vice, Allen v. Farrow, Last Week Tonight, The Luminaries, Shameless and Desus & Mero.
the Manchester Derby is today. i really want United to beat City, but they are going to have to be damn near perfect to pull it off.
the NBA All-Star game is tonight, as well as all the other things that are usually part of All-Star weekend. i am really looking forward to seeing Obi Toppin in the dunk contest. i hope he wins it.
my sister has left to go back home. i guess she told my mother she feels like an outsider here. i bit my tongue when i heard that. all i could think was she moved away for a reason, right?
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i will hopefully be in a better mood.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
until tomorrow kids...

i think it rained just about all night long. that surely explains why i woke up in pain. of course, it always makes me laugh. 4 hours of sleep.1 drink before bed of mostly Jack Daniels and a little soda. blood sugar is fucking fantastic in the morning. that's the DNA of an alcoholic right there boys and girls.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
ROH was very good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Allen v. Farrow, Last Week Tonight, Batwoman, Shameless, Desus & Mero and The Luminaries. the Golden Globes are on tonight, but i highly doubt i watch much of them.
Manchester United plays at Chelsea today. i would fucking love to see United win.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon at home against Boston. i'd love to see a repeat of the last game.
the New York Yankees start their spring training today against the Blue Jays. i have high hopes for the Yankees this season, but mostly, i would just love to see them stay healthy for a change.
i should be on here tomorrow after a trip to the bank and the post office. got some money from a friend wanting to buy some baseball cards. of course, the money came yesterday after the bank and post office was already closed.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.

i know my "normal" life will not exist for months now, given that my mother nearly died. the home health nurse came out today. they are sending someone on Friday to get mom's pills all in order so she can't forget to take something anymore. i know the next few weeks will be hectic as fuck as i have to take her to about 4 different doctors. and somewhere in all of that, i have to find the time to sell some baseball cards, write some poetry and maintain this blog. the odds of me dying by 50 are better than ever now. good times.
WWE Elimination Chamber was pretty good last night and definitely made the road to WrestleMania a little more interesting. of course, i would love to see The Miz lose the title tonight...
Axios was very good last night.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.
Allen v. Farrow was kind of sad last night. as someone who was molested as a child, i could feel nothing but pain for almost the entire show.
Shameless was great last night. i always loved Fiona and the clips brought back some great memories.
Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.
Batwoman was really good last night.
The Luminaries was good last night.

my sister is back at her home now. she'll be coming down every couple weeks i guess.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to see her primary care doctor. i have a feeling that is going to be a long ass appointment.
i was gutted this morning when i saw that Daft Punk called it quits. the one techno group that truly never disappointed me. thanks for an amazing 28 years...

my mother had her oxygen tank (for lack of a better word) delivered here last night. the guy who brought it and set it up was really nice. he explained things very clearly. mom has to use it every night while she is sleeping. thankfully, it doesn't make much noise. she said she felt pretty good last night. we have to figure out all her foods and how much she can have. but, i'm sure we'll get the feel for that before too long.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
Austin City Limits was an old episode last night with Willie Nelson.
ROH was pretty good last night.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Allen v. Farrow, Last Week Tonight, Batwoman, The Luminaries, Shameless and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching WWE Elimination Chamber for most of the evening.
Manchester United plays later today at home. the game is Peacock, so i'll have to follow along on my phone. hopefully, they will get a victory today.
the USWNT takes on Brazil today in the SheBelieves Cup.
i'm sure i'll probably watch some college basketball today as well.
and maybe a little outdoor hockey...
i have no idea when i will be on here tomorrow. i think mom has some home healthcare people coming or calling or both tomorrow. i know her endless parade to the doctors starts on Tuesday.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.
