one step closer to glory

the New Orleans Saints play today at Minnesota. the Saints are a 5 point underdog. i know the Saints will have to be close to perfect to win today, but i have a feeling they are going to pull it off. and if that happens, they will be playing at Philadelphia on my birthday for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. i really hope that is what happens.

i did watch some of the NFL playoffs yesterday. i was hoping Atlanta was going to win. if that would have happened, the Saints (if they win today) could have hosted the NFC Championship next Sunday. but of course, the Falcons came up short, as usual. i didn't bother to watch much of the Patriots vs. Titans last night. after watching some of the first half, i knew the second half wouldn't be close.

the New York Rangers got embarrassed on home ice yesterday by the Islanders. it was beyond humiliating to watch them lose 7-2. i suppose it's a good thing they play again tonight on the road at Pittsburgh. of course, they could get torched again and that could be a good thing as well. the rumors are swirling that they are willing to start listening to trade offers. thank fucking god.

Austin City Limits was great last night. Jason Isbell certainly out-punted his coverage with Amanda Shires.

Saturday Night Live was really good last night. i just love when someone slips and says fuck on live television.

ROH was excellent last night.

i think we are supposed to get some more snow tonight or tomorrow. since tomorrow is a holiday, i don't really care if it snows. i'm only going outside once tomorrow to get the paper and that's it.
