summer in the middle of October

there's a nice breeze today but the temperature is somewhere in the mid 80's, right where i want my crisp October days to be. good thing global warming is a fucking myth, right?

the New Orleans Saints started off on fire yesterday. that made me extremely happy as i started all my Saints players in fantasy football. then, in typical Saints fashion, they blew a 21 point lead. thankfully, Drew Brees was having another soon to be hall of fame type day. he threw for 465 yards, breaking Peyton Manning's record for most career 400 yd. games. the Saints won on a late field goal, 41-38. anytime i can watch Cam Newton lose, i'm a happy guy. the Saints next play at the Chiefs.

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. Westworld was great once again. Divorce was pretty funny last night. Insecure was fucking hilarious. The Strain was awesome last night. Shameless was great as usual, Masters of Sex was heartbreaking last night. that was easily their best episode in probably 2 seasons. and finally, Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual:

i didn't get to bed until around 4 in the morning. i was up 5 hours later. thankfully, my back isn't killing me today (knock on wood). i took mom down to the ATM to get some money out. it was the first time she had been out of the house for a few weeks i think. she liked the warm breeze. i guess the new extra large cold compress i got her really worked well on her back. i told her she needs to make that a daily thing, especially if it helped her sleep.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Gotham and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be flipping between Monday Night Raw and the football game between the Jets and Cardinals.

also tonight the New York Rangers play at home against San Jose. the Rangers have a few injuries after that St. Louis game, so i guess i'll find out how good the depth is because San Jose won't be easy to play against.

all of that will come after Manchester United plays at Liverpool. to me, this is always a MUST WIN game. hopefully the team takes on that mindset as well.

i didn't get any of the poetic shit i wanted to get done done this weekend. i'm hoping to squeeze something in this week sometime.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

thankfully, alcohol still works

my back was killing me for most of yesterday. but, it's amazing what one big stiff drink can do to cure the pain. thankfully, Ohio State came through for me last night to make it all possible.

Ohio State played like shit for most of last night. thankfully, they played like the team i know they can be in the second half. they came from behind to beat a very good Wisconsin team 30-23 in OT.

the New York Rangers ran into a goalie standing on his head last night. they absolutely dominated St. Louis, especially in the 3rd period, but lost 3-2. a little puck luck and they win that game going away. they next play at home on Monday night.

ROH was excellent last night.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

Austin City Limits was very good as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Strain, Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Shameless, Masters of Sex and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play at home today against Carolina. i'm really hoping the Saints used their bye week to put together a great game plan for today.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays at Liverpool. i fear what evil i may spew if i do the blog after the game, good or bad.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

the weekend

i didn't sleep well last night. it seems like my inner child has been throwing a fit since i got back from the doctor. at least the little fucker didn't mess with me when i was writing yesterday. i did write another 5 poems yesterday evening. i really like a few of them.

Vice News Tonight was excellent last night. i really think they had a great first week on the air.

NJPW was really good last night.

High Maintenance made me feel really old last night. next week is the season finale.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH.

Ohio State plays a huge game tonight at Wisconsin. Ohio State has won 19 straight true road games. hopefully they come home with number 20 tonight.

there are a few other college football games i'm going to try to watch today, mostly Alabama vs. Tennessee.

the New York Rangers play their first road game of the season tonight in St. Louis against the Blues. it won't be an easy game.

i have to do some running around this morning/early afternoon. i need to get some more ice packs and go to the grocery store to get pick up some prescriptions. and i probably should feed the birds today.

if i can find a spare moment this afternoon, i'm going to try to do a quick Soundcloud recording. if that doesn't happen this afternoon, i'll probably do it in the middle of the night.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

genetics wins again

well, i guess my gut doesn't have shit for brains after all. if you remember, a couple days ago i said i had a feeling my doctor's appointment today was going to be more than just a check up. i got there on time and had to wait nearly 30 minutes in the waiting room. i hadn't seen the woman that took me back to the room before. there's something about the sound of high heels anymore that gets my imagination racing. she pricked my finger to get my A1C. about 10 minutes later the doctor came in and said, hey, guess what? the first thought that came to mind was oh shit. he said well, you've got type 2 diabetes. he changed my one prescription to make it twice as much as what i had been taking. that also makes it twice as much as what my mother takes for type 2 diabetes. he also said my arthritis getting worse is probably tied to the diabetes. and i need to let my eye doctor know so they can look at the results a little closer. about 10 minutes later i got a flu shot and a cup to piss in. the doctor said i could just bring it back in next week sometime. great. genetics wins again. my mother blessed with me type 2 diabetes and my father gave me mental illness and alcoholism. what more can a boy ask for? i'm really not sure how much my life is really going to change. my back is bad enough that exercise is hard enough that i'd rather die. so, i guess the goal is now not get so bad that i need insulin. but, i'm pretty sure, i have now seen a glimpse of what running down the mountain is going to be like. it's like a recent poem of mine... some wait for death, i'd rather make it a sprint.

the New York Rangers won last night 5-3 over the Islanders. other than pissing away the lead less than 5 minutes into the 3rd period, i was thrilled with how the Rangers played last night. 39 shots on goal. holy shit, a team that actually wants to shoot the puck. that will be a welcome sight this season.

Fuck, That's Delicious was excellent last night.

Better Things was very funny last night.

Vice News Tonight was great again last night. trust me, it's way better than any nightly news show you are currently watching.

i didn't watch much of the football game last night. i'm happy i had the kicker for San Diego though. i actually have a 13 point lead to start off this week for one of my fantasy teams.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW and High Maintenance.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast last night. if you are a fan or would like to know more about Lucha Underground, i highly encourage you to listen to this one. you can find it by going here: http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2016/10/13/wrestling-podcast-103-lucha-underground-panel

i will probably do some writing later on tonight. i have one poem swimming in my head for sure, fucking high heels.

i'll most likely be on here in the morning tomorrow. most of what i want to see tomorrow isn't until the evening.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i certainly hope it will be better than mine.

another year, another quest

i did watch some of all the NHL games last night. i still can't believe what Auston Matthews did. to become the first player EVER to get 4 goals in their NHL debut is truly fucking amazing. thank god he will be playing for team USA at some point in the future.

the New York Rangers start their season tonight with a rivalry game against the Islanders. considering they didn't win a game at all last season against that team, i'm really hoping they come out on fire tonight. i'm really interested to see how the young guys play tonight as it is very clear the league is going to be much younger and faster for years to come.

i didn't sleep well at all last night. it rained for most of the evening and i think i tossed and turned the entire night. good times.

Lucha Underground was very good last night. NXT was excellent last night. it was good to see Nakamura back again. Total Bellas was pretty damn funny last night.

American Horror Story was creepy as hell last night. i'm really curious to see where it goes from here.

You're The Worst hit close to home again last night. of course, my father never spent any time with me before he died. not even when he was healthy enough to do so.

Vice News Tonight was excellent once again.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty fucking funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Better Things and Fuck, That's Delicious.

i will probably watch some of the football game tonight between Denver and San Diego.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade this morning. i'll post the links down in the music section.

i couldn't help but smile at this:

i'm going to go eat some lunch and then go to the grocery store. i'd rather get it done today than trying to do it tomorrow after my doctor's appointment.

if i get my shit together, look for some creativity coming from me this weekend. of course, that's one big IF...

introspection

i read an article today about Leonard Cohen. he said in the interview that he is ready to die. i owe much of what i have done in my writing really to two major influences; Charles Bukowski and Leonard Cohen. so i have spent a good portion of today listening to some music and thinking. it's always a dangerous combination. i go to the doctor on Friday. it's supposed to be just a check up. in my gut, i have a feeling it's going to be something more. good times.

team USA really got outplayed for most of the game last night by New Zealand. so when New Zealand scored to even the game late, i wasn't surprised. i was more pissed that the USA never bothered to have any urgency until the last 3 minutes of the game. a 1-1 draw is not the end of the world, but they need to get their shit together for when they face Mexico next month in Columbus.

Smackdown was pretty damn good last night. i loved the interaction between AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and James Ellsworth. overall, another great show.

The Voice was really good last night. i really think they have found some amazing talent this season.

Vice News Tonight was excellent once again. i really hope if you have HBO you are watching it or recording it to watch later.

Scream Queens was hilarious as usual.

Atlanta was excellent last night. maybe the most creative episode of television i have watched in years. mark my words, someone is winning a damn award from that show last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground, Vice News Tonight, Lip Sync Battle, American Horror Story, You're The Worst and Total Bellas, sometime tonight i'll watch NXT on WWE Network.

i think i will do a Soundcloud recording in the next few days of one of my poems from my latest chapbook. i have no clue what poem will be my next YouTube video. i have a few in mind but want to do a little something different.

the NHL season starts tonight. the New York Rangers play their first game tomorrow. i'll probably watch some of the games tonight, during the commercials most likely.

sleep, what a concept

i think i actually got some decent sleep last night, something close to 6 hours. i find that amazing as there was no alcohol involved, so i must have been tired as hell. i did feel refreshed for most of the day, until the fucking mail didn't get here until 4 in the afternoon. some days it's here by 11 AM and other days you can find the carrier jerking off in the McDonald's parking lot. welcome to life in a small town.

but, what i was waiting for was in the mail today:
my latest chapbook, part of the Punk Chapbook Series 2016 from Epic Rites Press. for more info and how to get your hands on it, go here: http://www.epicrites.org/punk-chapbook-series.html

Monday Night Raw was much better last night. the pacing, the matches, i thought everything just clicked. it wasn't a great show, but certainly wasn't as bad as the last month has been. i'm certainly looking forward to the Hell in a Cell ppv in 3 weeks.

The Voice started the battle rounds last night. the talent this season is pretty damn good.

Gotham was really damn good last night. the ending truly had me saying oh shit.

The Big Bang Theory was very funny last night. it's somewhat amazing that the show is still funny after all these years.

Vice News Tonight is going to be a show i will love. a quick paced news show that brings out the stories that most of the media won't touch.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Smackdown, Scream Queens and Atlanta.

team USA plays a soccer friendly tonight against New Zealand. hopefully i will be drinking a victory beer later tonight.

the trash is all picked up and now i'm going to take a long ass shower and get ready for the evening.

shopping on a holiday

so i decided i was going to test my sanity today and go shopping on a holiday. though, i don't actually think that Columbus Day should be a holiday, but that's a story for another day. i went to the closest Meijer to us, which is in the middle of a ton of fucking construction. thankfully, that meant it wasn't that busy. sadly, they had reconfigured most of the damn store since the last time i was there, so i was the typical single male going around like a lost dog trying to find shit. i did find most of what was on the list and kept it around $100. it would have been under if i wouldn't have treated myself to some baseball cards. they were 50% off.

i picked up some lunch on the way home and made it back about 2 hours after i had left. i didn't kill anyone, didn't give anyone the finger, so i'm going to say today was a success. so far.

a big surprise, both of my fantasy football teams stunk yesterday, but i'm still alive in the Eliminator pool. so, yeah, there's that.

WWE No Mercy was really good last night. i was bummed that Becky Lynch wasn't wrestling, but i was thrilled they started off the show with the main event. that's a nice twist, even though anyone with a brain knows they did it so the match wouldn't be against the debate. i was fine with AJ Styles retaining the title. the match between Miz and Dolph Ziggler stole the show. it was fucking awesome. that should have been the last match of the night. instead, that went to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. i was thrilled to see Luke Harper back. hopefully they give him a huge push.

Westworld was great last night. i think i finally "get" the show and now i'm really going to fucking enjoy it. Divorce was much funnier than i expected it to be. Insecure was fucking brilliant. Shameless was great as usual. Masters of Sex was pretty good. The Strain was great as always. and finally, Last Week Tonight was brilliant:

i'm running on less than 4 hours of sleep today. these are the days where i really feel that my 20's were something like 40 years ago.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Gotham and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

hard to believe that the NHL season starts in just a few days. hopefully, this will be the year the New York Rangers win The Stanley Cup.

the days where i could just kill

if there is one damn thing i hate the most about living in suburbia, it's this god damn constant need to keep the grass looking cut at all fucking times. i could have killed my cousin's husband this morning for mowing the fucking grass as my mother was sleeping. but, he's trying to stay in a will, so i know the intent. every 3 to 5 fucking days, someone has their mower out. doesn't matter if the grass hasn't grown. doesn't matter if it's not supposed to rain for a week. i told mom, if i truly was crazy, all these motherfuckers would be dead.

Ohio State struggled for a good portion of the game yesterday against Indiana. the wind didn't help matters either. but, you wouldn't know any of that by the final score. Ohio State won 38-17.

my sister came down yesterday and stayed a lot longer than i thought she was going to. i'm happy that her and mom got to talk and hopefully my sister realizes just how much pain mom is actually in.

there was some truly crazy college football games yesterday. i did see some of Navy's upset of Houston, the craziness of Tennessee and Texas A&M and Florida State vs. Miami. another good week to say the least.

ROH was excellent last night. i can't wait for Adam Cole to eventually make it to the big time and be an even bigger star.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, Shameless, Masters of Sex and The Strain. i'll be watching WWE No Mercy for most of the evening.

the New Orleans Saints have a bye this week. so i figure today is a good day to do my laundry and it looks like i have to go to the store to pick up some pills for my mother. good times.

i may have some good news to share about the poems i sent to Tuck Magazine. check back in about four weeks.

my fantasy hockey draft was this morning. other than having too many goalies, i think my team is pretty damn good. of course, i thought the same thing about football as well.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

does tossing and turning count as sleep?

when i saw the water rising in Savannah, Georgia last night, i immediately thought of my sister. she loves that town and has talked about moving there one day. i told my mother this will be the test to see how much my sister is really just my father. if the first thought she has when she sees the flooding is oh, i might be able to get some property cheap now, she is my father. i'm hoping that won't cross her fucking mind.

i haven't heard from my friends in South Carolina yet, so i'm hoping they are safe. thankfully, it doesn't look like they took a direct hit, but i know flooding isn't a walk in the park either.

the grocery store wasn't very interesting yesterday. i think i saw a couple women that may enter my dreams, but mostly i was concerned with getting the shopping done and getting back home. i got it all done in under 60 minutes and managed to keep it under $100. that's a victory.

the friendly yesterday between the USA vs. Cuba was ugly, mostly because the field was fucking atrocious. the USA won 2-0, but when you consider that Cuba hit the post twice, it was much closer than the score indicates.

NJPW was excellent last night.

High Maintenance was hilarious last night. here's one unknown fact about me, i do love rave culture. i suppose that's one of the good things about doing drugs in the 90's.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

Ohio State plays Indiana this afternoon. Indiana has played them really tough the last few years and i have no doubt they are coming in thinking they have a shot to upset the #2 team in the country. hopefully they go back tonight and realize they were wrong.

there are some pretty good college football games today. i will probably flip between them for most of the day.

plus, it actually feels like fall today, so i might open up the windows and take a long ass nap in the breeze.

long forgotten souls

the other 5 poems in my submission were accepted as well. "just not any day soon", "stranger danger", "but when that ends", "the words became knives" and "an old bottle of scotch" will be published at the site about every 3 weeks.

another weekend, another...

i think i fell asleep last night watching the severe weather channel on DirecTV. they usually will just show the local broadcasts from where the storms are. it's somewhat fascinating to see that all local media does the same shit; fear mongering, dire predictions, scare them to death. and you would think in a state like Florida, it wouldn't take much. i am happy that the storm hasn't done nearly the amount of damage they were thinking it would do. hopefully it stays that way.

i watched a good portion of the New York Rangers final preseason game last night. for the first two periods, they were good. sloppy but good. in the third period, the Rangers were god fucking awful. turned a 2-1 lead into a 4-2 loss to Philadelphia. i have no clue who is going to make this team now. considering how AV likes to do it, i figure i'll be pissed at something. their first game is on Oct. 13th.

i did watch a little of the football game last night. i finally got a fantasy defense to do something good for me. and i picked the game right as well. hopefully those are good signs of things to come.

Better Things was really fucking funny last night.

Fuck, That's Delicious was great last night. Copenhagen certainly looks like a town i would enjoy.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and High Maintenance.

i sent out 13 poems this morning; 2 to Tuck Magazine, 5 to Live Nude Poems and 6 to Rose Red Review. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

team USA plays Cuba down in Havana this afternoon in a soccer friendly. hopefully, the USA wins but what i'm hoping the most for is no injuries. that field looks like a fucking landfill.

i figure i have to go to the grocery store today. and just to fuck with myself, i'm going on a Friday afternoon where it should be busy as hell. good times.

i will probably be on here tomorrow morning since Ohio State plays in the afternoon. more on that big game tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i hope everyone in the path of the hurricane stays safe.

ready for the storm

ever since i was a child, i have been fascinated with the weather, destruction, violence, etc. knowing that the largest hurricane in over a decade is going to make landfall tonight somewhere in the Southeast... i know i'll be up most of the evening watching the weather. i have some friends down in that part of the country that are hopefully safe. plus, my sister wants to move down there someday, so i'm hoping she pays attention to all of this as well.

i did a little poetry work today. i'll be sending 13 poems out tomorrow, most likely in the morning.

American Horror Story was excellent last night. the show gets a little creepier with each episode.

You're The Worst was great last night. it also showed once again why marijuana should be legal.

Total Bellas was funny, only for one thing. John Cena getting bit on the leg by a dog. i was howling with laughter. of course, he wanted the little fucker put down, which is probably the "real" John Cena. after looking at the house he and Nikki Bella have, my thoughts of him being a douchebag are totally correct.

Lucha Underground was really good last night. the match between Prince Puma and Matanza Cueto was excellent.

NXT was really good as well last night. the 2nd annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic started. given the teams in it, it should be amazing once again.

Any Given Wednesday was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Better Things and Fuck, That's Delicious.

the New York Rangers play their final preseason game tonight at home against Philadelphia. the lineup tonight is a bunch of guys on the verge of either making the team or getting sent to the minors. so i expect a great effort tonight from everyone.

i will probably watch some of the football game tonight between Arizona and San Francisco. Arizona's defense is my fantasy defense for one of my teams.

i did listen to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. it was excellent as usual. Sam interviewed Brie and Nikki Bella.  he had a great take on the rumors surrounding TNA and how Monday Night Raw could be fixed. i highly recommend it. look for it on iTunes, Stitcher, etc.

mom found out today it could be a fucking month before she could get an appointment with a specialist for her back. let's just say she was fucking thrilled to hear that.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before team USA plays a soccer friendly against Cuba in Cuba. i believe that's the first time they have played there since 1947.

that's all for me kids. sending my best out to all of you in the path of the storm. be safe, stay strong, keep the alcohol ready.

there should never be a damn reason to turn the air conditioning back on in October. yet, here it is, in the upper 80's and the damn air conditioning is on. i think it's supposed to be like this tomorrow and then a massive cold front is coming. i'm hoping it doesn't get stuck on us with the hurricane on the east coast. all i can think of is the fucking misery that's coming.

i did do a little writing this afternoon. it's always nice to find that dark place in your depression and start to release some monsters. i typed up 4 poems this afternoon. i really like them. i have no clue where i'm going to send them at the moment.

i had to make a quick trip to the local grocery store and get the Chinese food mom wanted this afternoon. the house next door to us is having a garage sale today, so the traffic has been fucking constant it seems.

just more shit to make me irritable.

i did catch the ending of the baseball game last night. when Baltimore lost without ever using their best pitcher, it reminded me why i was so happy the Yankees fired Buck Showalter back in the 90's.

Smackdown was great once again last night. their upcoming ppv this Sunday should be amazing.

The Voice was a recap of what has happened so far. the battle rounds are next.

Atlanta was fucking great last night. it reminded of how many friends i have helped beat drug tests back in the day.

the New York Rangers lost again in OT last night. this time it was 3-2 to the Islanders. it would be nice if they got all of this out of their system in the preseason. they made some more cuts today, so they are finally getting closer to having the lineup to start the season.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Any Given Wednesday, American Horror Story, You're The Worst, Lucha Underground and Total Bellas. i'll be watching NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

my fortune cookie today made me laugh. it said it is time to make new friends. given where my life is at now, that truly made me laugh.

that's all for me today kids. i hope everyone is enjoying your hump day.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

the joy of being a poet

i was out and about for a good portion of today. i had to go to the post office, make a deposit at the bank and then head up to Menards. i found just about everything i wanted to get at Menards, and thankfully got it done in just over 60 minutes. on the way back home, i went past a cemetery as a funeral was going on. if you look down in the music section, you can guess which song was playing as i drove past it. these are the moments where being a poet is actually fun.

i wrote the poem once i got home. i might do a little more writing tonight and then type them all up.

i did watch a good portion of the New York Rangers preseason game against Philadelphia last night. there was the usual dirty shit from the Flyers that they always do. i was happy to see the Rangers come back to force the game into OT. i didn't enjoy them losing less than 30 seconds in OT. but, it's the preseason for a reason. Philadelphia won 4-3. the Rangers play the Islanders tonight i believe.

The Voice was really good last night. i think Blake and Alicia have the best teams.

Gotham was great last night.

Monday Night Raw was excellent for the first time in months. of course, they were in Los Angeles, so i figured they would do an A+ show for a change. loved that they had the ladies do the main event. Sasha Banks and Charlotte have such great chemistry with each other. plus, a title change never hurts to make a show feel special.

i got the Monday Night Football game right, but my picks were still under .500 for the weekend. i'm at the point now where i might just blow up my fantasy teams and say fuck it for the season.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, WWE Smackdown and Atlanta.

i did listen to the latest and probably last Sam and Cathy podcast today. it was great as usual. you can listen to it by going here: https://soundcloud.com/samrobertsshow/sam-cathy-027-see-you-never

the trash is all picked up and honestly, i could use a fucking nap. adios mis amigos.

wasted 20 damn minutes

nothing frustrates me more than having to take a shit right after getting out of the shower. talk about feeling like you just wasted the last 20 fucking minutes of your life.

when the New Orleans Saints were down 13 points in the 4th quarter yesterday, i was pretty much resigned to them fucking losing again. thankfully, the Chargers decided to fumble their next two possessions and the Saints scored two touchdowns. holy shit, a lead in the 4th quarter. when the Saints got the interception to clinch the game, i was so fucking happy. i knew how much Drew Brees wanted to win in his old home. thanks for the victory beer boys. the Saints won 35-34.

my fantasy football teams are basically a fucking embarrassment. and now i have injuries to deal with. good times.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 5-2. they finished the season 84-78, which given how god awful they were to start the season... now let the youth movement begin.

Westworld was a bit of a mind fuck last night. but it was certainly interesting enough for me to keep coming back for more.

Shameless was fucking great last night. easily one of my favorite shows of all time.

The Strain was great last night. Masters of Sex showed the one thing i probably wish i could have been around for in the 70's, a swingers party. and as usual, Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Big Bang Theory and Gotham. i'll probably spend most of the night flipping between Monday Night Raw, the football game and some hockey.

the New York Rangers play tonight against Philadelphia. hard to believe, but the start of the hockey season is just around the corner.

i spent a good portion of yesterday watching the Ryder Cup. team USA beat team Europe 17-11 to win the Ryder Cup for the first time in 8 years. i'm not a big watcher of golf on television, but the golf yesterday was fucking amazing. if each week had the taunting and wild fans and holy shit shots, i might watch more.

it was nice enough here today that i was able to get out and feed the birds and actually open some windows. but, like Ohio usually is, wait a few minutes and it will change.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
