and then the boy became a man...

what a difference a day makes. when i started to watch the Manchester United game against Arsenal this morning and saw that United were playing two central midfielders as center backs, i feared the worst. but, holy shit, enter Marcus Rashford. when your first touch in the Premier League finds the back of the net, it's amazing. when you get your next goal under 3 minutes later, you have now entered the legend stage of life. at the age of 18! to put this in better perspective, i give you this:

Lionel Messi vs. Petr Cech:
7 games
2 goals

Marcus Rashford vs. Petr Cech:
45 minutes
2 goals
i thought the officiating was a little one sided at times, but i imagine that was due to the number of kids that Manchester United was playing. i know most officials think they are the ones to teach the kids some tough lessons. fucking idiots. thankfully, Manchester United won the game 3-2.
and then there was this from LVG:
that has to be the first time in my life i can remember a manager showing the 4th official how the other team has been flopping. where the fuck has this emotion been all season?

all in all, what a wonderful way to start my Sunday. sort of.

mom woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me my uncle had fallen once again. keep in mind i didn't get to bed until around 2 in the morning. this was something like 4 or so in the morning. she said the phone rang, but i never heard it. she said i was enjoying a nice long snore. she was just getting back from next door when she woke me up. i guess my uncle is in critical condition at the moment at the hospital. of course, no one on their side of the family has had any conversations about what they are going to do when he dies. or even how he wants to die. does he really want to keep taking the chemo that's killing him? would he like a nurse at the house all the time? you know, the kind of questions that there should already be fucking answers to. needless to say, i didn't sleep well the rest of the night. i think i was awake just about every 15 minutes or so until the sun came up. good times.

Austin City Limits was pretty good last night. it was the Ed Sheeran/Valerie June episode from a couple years ago.

ROH was really good last night. the main event between Adam Cole vs. Matt Sydal was great.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl, Girls, Togetherness and Last Week Tonight.

i will probably watch the beginning of The Academy Awards just to see what Chris Rock has to say. i haven't been to the movies in a long time, so i truly don't give a shit who wins.

it's really windy here today, but the sun is out. so i might go out and feed the birds today. unless the winds continue to howl. if that happens, i might as well just throw the seeds down on the ground, that's where they are going to end up anyway.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
