hello apathy, i remember you

so just as i was getting ready to get in bed last night, the news hits about that flight from Paris to Cairo. now, i'm a sucker for breaking news. i'm one of these assholes that wants to know what's going on at all times. so i was up until probably 2 in the morning or so, basically until my eyes couldn't stay open any longer. 4 hours of sleep, rinse and repeat. i was hoping to get some poetry work done but no... watching the news and sitting here at the computer, immersed in apathy. good times.

i think i'm going to take a shower after i get done writing this. maybe some cold or extremely hot water will jolt the system back into something other than its current state.

the New York Yankees actually won last night, 4-2. thank god. they start a 4 game series in Oakland tonight. joy, more west coast baseball.

Lucha Underground was really good last night.

NXT was excellent last night. anytime i get to watch Nakamura wrestle, i'm a happy man. plus, they showed the footage from a brawl between Balor and Samoa Joe that will mean the next chapter of their feud will be in a steel cage. that's a first for NXT.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle.

i think mom finally took the car to get the check engine light checked on. i guess the dumb fucks forgot to put back a hose when they changed her air filter 2 weeks ago. she wasn't very happy.

i saw that team USA advanced to the semi-finals of the Hockey World Championships today with a shootout win over Czech Republic. i might have to have a drink for that one.

today's been one of those days where you get a song stuck in your head and you can't escape it to save your life. you'll see what my brain was chewing on all day long in the music section.

i'll have to keep my eye out for some packages being delivered to the house the next couple of days. what i ordered mom for her birthday should be coming soon. that saves me from having to do some last minute shit in June.

that's all for me today kids. i think i'm going to go take a nap in the shower. good times.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i'll always smile when Liverpool loses

it was an absolute pleasure to watch Liverpool lose to Sevilla today in the final of the Europa League. especially when you consider Liverpool was up 1-0 at half and you could almost see the horror of those fucks winning a title. thank god Sevilla woke up and scored 3 unanswered goals. now, hopefully Manchester United wins the FA Cup on Saturday and the season can end with another round of joy.

The Voice was rather interesting last night. when the first two people saved were the two i named in the blog yesterday, i felt pretty good. now, i was shocked when Hannah was saved. i don't get what people see in her. thankfully, Laith was the final person to advance to the finals. i did find it kind of funny that the 4 that were eliminated all did duets with each other the night before. but, it should be an amazing final.

Deadliest Catch was pretty good last night.

the New York Yankees lost again last night, 5-3. hopefully they won't get swept tonight.

i wasn't surprised by either of the playoff games last night. Cleveland is easily the best team in the Eastern Conference in the NBA. and, as i said a few days ago, i fully expect San Jose and St. Louis to go 7 games in the NHL playoffs. San Jose won last night (4-0) to even the series at 1-1.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll be watching NXT and some other things on WWE Network.

the NBA Draft Lottery went exactly as expected last night. i think it might have been the first time i can ever remember nothing changing from what was expected.

i went to the bank today to make a deposit. it's amazing just how run down the town i grew up in truly is. i think they named a new police chief yesterday. if i'm not mistaken, it's the same guy that fired me from my job out at the airport. small fucking world.

the sun did come out today. that certainly helped my mood. although, i did have a headache for most of today. it started in my right cheek and went straight up my head. i figured it is a sinus headache. i had the same thing last night. i told my mother i have no clue how i slept through it. she asked what did i do. i told her i just hoped it was an aneurysm and went to sleep. good times.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll put the links below in the music section.

if i get a wild hair up my ass tomorrow, i might send out some poems. who knows.

that's all for me kids. hope this finds you enjoying a cold beverage of your choice.

a dreary day in the neighborhood

i wrote 6 poems a few days ago. i looked over them again today. i like a few of them but i think i'll do another writing session before my next round of submissions. i would have loved to do that today. but, since the sunshine decided today was a vacation day, it was nothing but rain and clouds. so, i've been miserable for most of the day. good times.

the New York Yankees got whipped last night in Arizona, 12-2. thank god i didn't waste any time on that game. i doubt i will tonight either.

The Voice was pretty damn good last night. there really wasn't a bad performance by any of the 8 left. i have no clue who gets cut tonight as they go from 8 to 4. i think the only ones truly safe are Adam and Alisan.

Gotham was amazing last night. i can't fucking wait for the season finale next week.

Monday Night Raw was very good at times and then just was flat as hell the rest of the show. they would do themselves a huge favor if they would cut the show to 2 hours.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Deadliest Catch.

i should watch the NBA Draft Lottery tonight, but i know the Sacramento Kings have no shot at getting the #1 pick.

Manchester United won today, clinching 5th place in the Premier League. that means they will go straight into the group stage of the Europa League next season. oh joy. i was hoping that LVG would be fired by now. maybe they are waiting until after the FA Cup final on Saturday. the best thing of today was there was no injuries. Wayne Rooney got his 100th goal at Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young scored the other 2 goals. fucking Chris Smalling had an own goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. that cost David de Gea his 16th clean sheet of the season. the boys play Crystal Palace on Saturday at Wembley in the FA Cup final. hopefully they win or this season would be a complete fucking waste.

i have trash to take out and a victory beer to consume. that may end up being my dinner tonight.

i didn't watch much of the hockey game last night. it looks like the Penguins and Lightning could go 7 games as well. i didn't catch any of the basketball game last night either. i was a little surprised when i saw Golden State had lost. i may try to catch a bit of Cleveland vs. Toronto tonight.

i need to go to the bank tomorrow to deposit some money. hopefully the weather will be better by then.

that's all for me kids. hope your day was better than mine.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

amazing what one can do with 6 hours of sleep

i woke up about 2 hours later than normal this morning. i looked at the clock and was like holy shit. i think i got almost 6 hours of sleep. and since i was home alone most of the day, i got some shit done. clean the toilets, vacuum the house, feed the birds, put away the dishes, etc... hopefully my mother will be happy.

so the Manchester United bomb scare yesterday was a fake bomb left behind by a private security company from a training exercise. jesus fucking christ. how fucking hard is to count the number of fake bombs you put out and then count again when you are done to know you got them all? so the game will be replayed tomorrow. just great. hopefully no one gets hurt as United plays in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

the New York Yankees won yesterday, 7-5. to take 2 out of 3 from a really hot White Sox team was pretty impressive. it looks like the back of the bullpen could be great, if their arms don't fucking fall off from being used everyday. the boys are on the road in Arizona tonight. hopefully they keep the wins coming.

House of Lies was pretty funny last night. Silicon Valley was hilarious. Veep was really fucking funny, especially considering how much death i've been around in my life. Penny Dreadful was amazing as usual. the ending was a mind fuck of epic proportions. and Last Week Tonight was great as usual.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Gotham. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw and then some things on WWE Network.

i did watch a little of the playoff game last night between San Jose and St. Louis. the Blues won Game 1 2-1. i could easily see this series going 7 games.

i think the conference finals start in the NBA tonight. if i'm up late, i might try to catch the last 5 minutes or so.

i listened to the latest Sam & Cathy podcast today.

today was definitely one of those days where i would have loved to go to sleep outside. it felt great out there when i was feeding the birds. hopefully the birds get to the food before the fucking squirrels do.

just when you think you've seen it all

so i was ready and totally fucking prepared for the Manchester United game today. i wasn't watching the pregame shows, as i was watching the Formula 1 race. yes, i know, i watch entirely too many sports. so, when i heard the United game was delayed for 45 minutes, my first thought was what the fuck is going on now. there's no fucking way United could be late for a home game. then the news came down that a suspicious device had been found in Old Trafford. i take the words suspicious device to always mean bomb. so, in the name of safety, the match was abandoned. honestly, given that Manchester Shitty got the draw they needed to finish in the top 4, i really don't see a reason to play the match. sure, i'm sure someone at United will want to play it so they could finish in 5th, above Southampton, but honestly, with no Champions League spots possible, who gives a fuck. just go win the FA Cup and then relieve LVG of his duties. if the Champions League was the standard when Moyes was fired, then the standard should be the same for LVG. all in all, this was one of the craziest United seasons i can ever remember. and considering the yahoos running the show now, it's only bound to get worse.

the New York Yankees got some excellent pitching yesterday and just enough offense to beat the White Sox 2-1. they are playing right now as i am typing this. hopefully they will get the win today and finish this homestand at 7-3.

ROH was pretty good last night. it was a look back at Jay Lethal's title reign.

Saturday Night Live was pretty fucking funny last night. i'm not a big fan of Drake's music, but i do enjoy that he has no problem making fun of himself.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be House of Lies, Penny Dreadful, Silicon Valley, Veep and Last Week Tonight.

we've now entered bizarro weather once again. it was around 40 degrees when i woke up this morning. mom had me bring in the flowers before i went to bed last night because there was a chance of frost. frost in fucking May. it doesn't look like it's going to get back to "normal" temperatures until Friday. good times.

i watched some of the Eurovision 2016 yesterday. i had heard about the show for years but yesterday was the first time i actually got to see any of it. talk about things to watch when nothing else is on.

i hope your Saturday was good. i hope your Sunday is even better.

one step forward and two giant leaps behind

it feels like it is early March outside this morning. considering the "experts" are saying we might have some spotty frost overnight, this is going to be one of those bizarro days it seems.

the New York Yankees were facing one of the best pitchers in the majors last night. it showed. i think i quit watching the game somewhere around the 3rd inning. i didn't miss anything. the Yankees lost 7-1. they also had another injury last night. to say this team is fragile is an understatement. hopefully they will get back to winning this afternoon.

i did watch some of the Tampa Bay vs. Pittsburgh game last night. as soon as i saw Ryan Callahan (former Rangers captain) destroy Kris Letang on a vicious hit early in the first period, i smiled. i love a series where the hatred starts early. that means the longer the series goes, the more physical it will be. i don't believe Pittsburgh can win that type of game. last night was good evidence. Tampa lost their starting goalie and still won the game 3-1.

other than that last night, mom caught up on the last 3 Lip Sync Battles she's missed. she's not good at using the DVR, so i watched them again with her. good son, i know.

68 with a bit of a breeze

the weather today was close to perfect. of course, my strained muscle in my rib cage was barking up a storm and my big toe on my right foot was encased in liquid band-aid so it would stop bleeding. 40 years old and falling apart. good times.

i had to drive mom around today to a few different places. here lately, she's been feeling good enough to drive herself. but today, her cataracts started fucking with her. i imagine my permanent job of chauffeur is not that far away.

after we went to get some boxes of pamphlets she needed for work, we went out to lunch. after lunch, she needed to get her blood drawn. when she came out, i told her what i love about these places. i get to see what i missed out on by not becoming a junkie. after that, we went to Tractor Supply to get a Shepherd's hook for the front yard. mom has some flowers in a hanging pot. and then we went to the grocery store. amazingly, we were all done in under a span of 4 hours. mom was surprised. i told her be thankful i don't like people or this shit would take forever.

we had a couple storms roll through last night. they didn't fuck with the satellite too much, so i got to see just about everything i wanted.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty fucking funny last night. WWE Smackdown was good. i think everything is shaping up nicely for the next ppv. Lip Sync Battle was pretty hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be nothing. everything that i watch on Fridays seems to be a rerun tonight. i guess Friday the 13th still means something to someone.

the New York Yankees got some hitting from unlikely sources last night and defeated Kansas City 7-3 last night. that gives them their second straight series win. they start a tough series tonight against the Chicago White Sox. if they can win this series, i'll really start to believe they have turned the corner.

Game 7 last night between Nashville and San Jose was a joke. San Jose won 5-0. so the conference finals are set. St. Louis vs. San Jose and Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay. well, i know the league wants the Penguins to win so they can have that asshole Cindy Crosby's face everywhere. so, i'll be rooting for anyone else. i believe Game 1 between the Lightning and Penguins starts tonight.

i listened to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast this morning.
you can listen to it by going here: http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/5/13/srshow-andrew-schulz

i guess we're supposed to have a cold front come through as they are saying the lows tomorrow night could be in the upper 30's. great, that will do wonders for my arthritis.

i hope everyone has enjoyed their Friday the 13th. since 13 is my lucky number, today is one of those i look forward to.

i got a message on LinkedIn from a woman in Australia that is looking for some poems for her online magazine. so, you know what i'll be doing this weekend.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

sometimes you just become numb

i have been a Dayton Flyers fan since i was a child. i remember living and dying with every shot in 1984 when they made their miracle run to the Elite 8. eventually, i became a season ticket holder. and when you are an avid fan, you read everything, you check the latest news, the rumors, etc. 20 years ago, i remember getting the news about Chris Daniels. i was in a work van at the airport and i started to cry. a young man just starting to realize his potential and dies. enlarged heart. i still have moments where i wonder just how far Chris could have gone, NBA, Europe... such a shame he never got to find out. so this afternoon i was just getting online and saw a news report about a UD player dying. my first thought was what the fuck. and then i clicked and was crying immediately. Big Steve. 20 years old. reportedly collapsed at his parents home in Indiana and died. they believe an enlarged heart is the cause of death. here's a guy who busted his ass to get in better shape, always had a smile on his face and just finished a season where he set the record for blocked shots for the team in a season. i so wanted to not believe this story. then i saw the university confirmed it and i am completely fucking devastated. my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, his teammates, his friends and the endless number of kids he made smile. rest in peace Steve. your memory will never fade.

i woke up this morning before 5 AM. i couldn't fall back asleep for anything. i knew i had to drive mom this morning to the next town over so a co-worker could drive her to a meeting in Middletown. i might have got 20 minutes of nap time when i got back home. i figured i would go out and feed the birds before the storms hit. it figures, they haven't come yet. and now mom is back home.

the New York Yankees fell behind early last night and never really got back into the game. they lost 7-3 to Kansas City. they need to win tonight to win the series. splitting the series after winning the first two will feel like a loss to me.

Game 7 last night between the Blues and Stars was a blowout. St. Louis won 6-1 on the road to advance to their first conference final in 15 years.

Lucha Underground was good last night. NXT was good last night. i really enjoyed Table for 3 as well on WWE Network.

enjoy some music:

my 2 poems at Dead Snakes

my poems "mumble to yourself" and "you built the myth" have been published at Dead Snakes. you can find the poems by going here: http://deadsnakes.blogspot.com/2016/05/jj-campbell-two-poems.html

one of these days i'll get to sleep forever...

i believe a cold front moved through overnight, as i tossed and fucking turned all night long. not exactly the kind of sleep i wanted going into a day i knew i would be sending out some poems. i'd like to think i do my best work when i'm feeling my best. of course, if that was true, my work has been shit for the last few years. no comments from the peanut gallery please.

i sent out 12 poems today; 6 to ZYX and 3 each to Dead Snakes and In Between Hangovers. i'll post the verdicts when i hear back from these places.

the New York Yankees pissed away lead after lead last night. thankfully, they are finally starting to show some heart and some fucking resolve. they battled back each time and eventually won 10-7. they will go for another series win in the game tonight.

The Voice is now at the point of the season where everyone left is talented enough to win the whole thing. of course, that wouldn't have been the case if Nick would have stayed last night.
there are now 8 left in the competition. i could see 6 of them winning the whole thing.

Deadliest Catch was pretty damn interesting last night.

i did catch the overtime of the Capitals vs. Penguins last night. i laughed when Pittsburgh scored to eliminate Washington. i have to think that Ovechkin knows at this point he's never going to win it all in Washington. perhaps they trade him to a certain team in New York that they once traded Jagr to. just a thought. the Penguins will now play Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference Final. i'll only watch because there are ex-Rangers on each team.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT and some other shit on WWE Network tonight. also, i'll flip between some baseball and a Game 7 in the NHL.

i had an interesting talk at the post office today. i wasn't expecting the person behind the counter to tell me about her drug problem. her eyes got a little wide when i told her my pain tolerance is such that i can take 3 Percocets and they won't even phase me. i told her i'm not going to become an addict just so i don't feel pain. i was about to explain my theory on finding the pleasure in the pain but an old lady walked in. but i imagine the poems are going to get interesting.

today has been one of those days where the arthritis has won most of the day. when the body aches just sitting, you know it's a no win situation.

i listened to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend checking out his interview with EC3. it's a must listen.

you ever get so angry you feel like you could kill...

i will be the first to admit that i take sports way too seriously. i'm a passionate fucker who wears all of his emotions on his sleeves. and considering that my sports career ended basically in high school, i expect the players on the teams i live and die with, to play their best at all times. so you can imagine my fucking frustration watching Manchester United play today.

they needed a win to put themselves in 4th place and give them a leg up on making the Champions League next season. so, of course, they show up late to the stadium once again, apparently playing in London is impossible for this team. they did the same shit at Tottenham. this time, the bus got pelted with bottles and whatnot. there was broken glass everywhere. as soon as i saw they pushed the start of the game back, i figured well, United has their excuse now when they lose. the boys started off timid as hell in the first half as West Ham come out on fire, which any dumb fuck could have seen coming given that this was the last match ever at their home since 1904. United was down 1-0 at halftime. thankfully, United actually showed some heart in the second half. they started out great, quickly drawing even at 1 with a goal from Anthony Martial. Martial struck again to give United the lead. now, with the lead on the road late, you have one fucking job to do. defend, be smart, waste time or be ballsy enough to score again. sadly, United did none of those things. West Ham scored twice to win the game 3-2. considering all 3 of the goals came from Daley Blind's mistakes, you can imagine what i wanted to do to that piece of shit after the game. i'm sure one of these days i'll have a heart attack during one of my tirades. i won't be lucky enough to die, just suffer. United basically has no fucking chance of finishing 4th now. i don't expect Manchester Shitty to give us another gift. i really want to get an email later tonight saying that LVG has been fired and Ryan Giggs will manage the last game of the season. the problem with that scenario is firing him while not having a chance to play in the Champions League next season means either you have to give the job to Giggs or you limit the attraction to the job to a lesser coach, kind of like what was hired in Moyes and LVG. and the shitty thing is, i can see United slipping off into the abyss like Liverpool if they keep fucking up like this.

what could have been a lovely night has now turned to absolute shit.

i did enjoy a few of the performances on The Voice last night. i have no clue who goes home tonight.

Gotham was fucking amazing last night. the last 20 minutes was great television. just 2 more episodes left in the season.

i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. it should get even better when the injured guys start coming back.

the New York Yankees remembered how to hit home runs last night. they hit 5 of them in a 6-3 win over the Royals. Aroldis Chapman made his debut finally. he looked a little rusty but he still got the ball up to 101 mph. hopefully they will get another win tonight.

enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Deadliest Catch.

i think i will take the trash out later tonight. hopefully it won't be fucking raining. i strained my back over at my uncle's while doing his recyclables. good times.

i did listen to the latest episode of Sam & Cathy today. a very funny episode that helped pass the afternoon along.

crazy how my world works

so yesterday in a span of 7 minutes, i had 7 poems rejected. today, i got 6 poems published. in the middle of all that, the fucking printer stopped working. better yet, it wouldn't communicate with the computer at all. welcome to the life of a poet.

apparently i got my poems into Chiron Review a little too late, as they are now full. they will open for submissions again on November 1st. i heard back from James at Hobo Camp Review on my latest submission. they decided to pass on the 4 i sent. thankfully, today i was able to combine those 7 poems with 5 others to get my next round of submissions ready to go out. that will most likely be on Wednesday.

mom was in a shitty mood last night, so that certainly made for an interesting house. and people wonder where i get my passive aggressive shit from. thankfully, i just went into my room and started watching the Sunday night shows.

i did see a text my sister sent to my mother with a picture of what was hanging on her door. apparently the creditors of my dead father's dead wife are now seeking to get in contact with my sister. i laughed. i knew why they wanted us to go see him in his final days. it wasn't a dying wish, it was a ruse to get us to pay their fucking bills. so happy i didn't fall for that shit.

the New York Yankees faced a knuckleball pitcher last night. that explains why they only had 3 hits. the only run came with 2 outs in the 9th. thank god i didn't waste any time on that game. a 5-1 loss to Boston. sadly, usually when you face a knuckleball pitcher, your hitting goes to shit for the next couple days. considering how the Yankees have been this season, it won't be much of a difference. they start a series at home with Kansas City tonight.

House of Lies was really funny last night. it reminded me of why i have never taken a cruise. Silicon Valley was great. Veep was fucking hilarious. Penny Dreadful was spooky as fuck once again. i was absolutely correct on who Dracula was going to end up being. i think i audibly shouted I KNEW IT around 2 in the morning when i watched the show. Last Week Tonight was excellent once again.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Gotham. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw.

i guess we're in yet another rainy cycle. it's supposed to rain on and off for the next 4 days. great.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday. hopefully all you mothers had a lovely day.

i think i'm going to go take a shower and then have some cold pizza for dinner. good times.

happy mother's day

first off, happy mother's day to all the mothers out there. i thought i was being the good son this morning and asked my mother what she wanted for breakfast. i said i would cook whatever she wanted. she handed me a gift card to McDonald's and told me to get her some food from there. apparently, she's not impressed with my ability to make scrambled eggs and toast. oh well.

i was pretty happy i picked the Kentucky Derby winner correctly yesterday. of course, it's not that hard to pick the favorite and be correct.

we left after the race to take my sister back to Columbus. she wanted to go to Target, which was along the way, so i said sure. i've learned over the years to just say yes and save the bitching for later. she found what she wanted and then we decided to go out for dinner, as mom was feeling hungry. we decided to try a place we hadn't been to before, Firehouse Subs. i thought it was pretty good. sadly, mom ended up not liking it so much, so that's always fun. we made it to Columbus and back before Saturday Night Live started, so i was pretty happy with that.

the New York Yankees pounded Boston yesterday, 8-2. holy shit, 2 wins in a row and a series win. and given the Manchester United win, i really enjoyed those two victory beers last night. the Yankees go for the sweep tonight.

Saturday Night Live was pretty fucking funny last night. Austin City Limits had two of my favorites on, Gary Clark Jr. and Courtney Barnett. and ROH was a clip show getting everyone ready for their ppv tonight with NJPW. the best part of that was, since Colt Cabana is facing Jay Lethal for the title tonight, they showed an old match of Cabana vs. CM Punk. i always enjoy watching my 3rd favorite wrestler of all-time.

mom really liked what i got her for Mother's Day. i got her a Marvin the Martian wind chime. i told her i thought she could hang it in her room and then when she had the windows open she could hear the chimes. she liked that idea, so now you know who gets to hang it for her. and since she was feeling a little sick this morning, i quickly made her a mix CD to try to lift her mood. she's playing it now, so that's a good sign.

i did watch Manchester Shitty and Arsenal play today. a 2-2 draw. so, holy shit, Manchester United controls its own destiny for making the top 4 now. 2 wins in the last 2 games (West Ham and Bournemouth) and they will finish at least in 4th. crazy to think that's even possible given how bad United has played for most of the season. the best thought though is knowing if it does happen, Shitty finishes in 5th and next season it will be a joy to watch Pep Guardiola managing in the Europa League.

i listened to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast today with Tom Shillue.

amazingly, it was supposed to rain all yesterday. we didn't get a drop. it was supposed to be sunny all day today and it has looked like it is going to rain for the last three hours. the bones are telling me it's getting close. joy.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully the rest of your Sunday is even better.

an eventful evening...

so, when my mother and i were picking up my sister at the airport around midnight last night, i was expecting some fireworks. i wasn't disappointed. my sister's bag was in Columbus. it went on the flight she was supposed to be on but some dumb fuck at American Airlines sold her seat to someone else. thankfully, my sister heard from her neighbor that the bag did arrive this morning and she put it in her garage. my sister was coming back from the east coast where she was forced to go work because of the Verizon strike. basically, my sister had to cross the picket line or she would lose the job she's had for 16 years. totally fucked up. if anyone is interested in switching from Verizon, i would advise you to do so. what a piece of shit company.

the New York Yankees came from behind last night and won 3-2 over Boston. Aaron Hicks hit a huge home run to get them the lead. the Yankees got some help from the home plate umpire in the 9th to seal the win. it was so much fun watching David Ortiz lose his shit over a strike call last night. looked like a little roid rage if you ask me. they play again this afternoon. the Yankees will be looking for that elusive thing called a winning streak and a series win.

VICE was pretty infuriating last night. i can't believe it's 2016 and a country in this world is still battling fucking polio. but, when you're dealing with ignorant fucks, what do you expect? and then all the damn bombs that the USA dropped in Laos that never exploded that are killing people now... the Vietnam War truly never has ended. i highly recommend everyone checking out this episode.

on the DVR tonight will be ROH, Saturday Night Live and Austin City Limits.

i got up this morning sometime around 6 to make sure i was awake for the Manchester United game. i wish the damn team would have done the same. for some fucking reason LVG held out Marcus Rashford completely today, because, you know, 18 year old boys need rest. and then Anthony Martial got hurt during the pregame warm up... fuck me running. the first half was god awful, as was the second half. thankfully, Juan Mata decided he wanted to score today and did so. kudos to the excellent play from Wayne Rooney that made the goal happen. that was enough to get a 1-0 win. nothing quite liking possessing the ball for nearly 70% of the game and only getting 2 shots on goal. but, if Manchester Shitty happens to lose to Arsenal tomorrow, United will control its' own destiny with making the top 4. they completely do not deserve it.

i figure the rest of the day will be some playoff hockey and the Kentucky Derby. i haven't really checked the odds, but since the favorite is named after a hockey player, i'll go with that horse, Nyquist.

i figure i'll also be driving my sister back to Columbus at some point today, hopefully after the race. i laughed as the check engine light came on last night as we were driving to the airport to get her. mom called the place where she had the car serviced last week and they said well, as long as it isn't blinking, you're good. i guess that's what happens when you have a vehicle with over 217,000 miles on it. and just think, that soon will be mine. good times.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. i believe it's supposed to rain here soon. oh joy.
