and sometimes i'm the bleary eyed madman...

my theory is the dumb fuck that delivered the mail today forgot to put down the flags of the people who had mail to pick up. that's why i didn't get the mail until 5 PM. and of course, i should have gone out earlier and checked, but my disgust with people kind of makes that impossible. i'm sort of in my keep your mouth shut and eyes open phase of getting to know people around here. as usual, i'm looking for a disgruntled wife or a daughter getting ready to turn 18. simply looking for a muse you sick fucks. anything else would be quite the fucking surprise on my end.

in the mail today was a response from Hiram Poetry Review on my submission from July. they decided to pass but want me to try them again. i probably would if they would have sent back the poems they rejected. instead, since i had to print them out again, HPR will be shuffled back down the list. and thankfully, i didn't send out any poems today, because the 5 that got rejected will easily find homes at other places. so that more or less will change all the submissions i had lined up. this is the joy of being a poor poet with a healthy ego.

i picked the football game right last night. most of my fantasy players did decent except for the Washington RB i started that fumbled a touchdown out of the end zone.

the New York Yankees won last night 3-2. Carlos Beltran hit a 3 run homer and the pitching held on for dear life after that. the magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 6. hopefully they lower that number tonight.

Married was excellent last night. i really enjoyed the fact that the story was about trying to do a book and the strain that can cause between friends. i suppose that is why none of my friends really live close to me.

time for some music kids. fuck it, the weekend starts now:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW.

the New York Rangers lost in a shootout last night to Boston. i was pleased that they were winning the game when The King was in. he won't come out after 40 minutes in the regular season. they play tomorrow against the Devils.

i saw that the University of Dayton hired a new Athletic Director today. i automatically felt old when the new AD is younger than i am. hopefully he can clean up this Dyshawn Pierre mess. not sure how someone gets suspended for 10 games when the police and prosecutor's office didn't bring any charges against him. and if i was the coach of the team, rest assured i'm looking for the first big time job that comes my way now after the administration rushed to judgment on my senior captain. what a fucking mess.

Manchester United plays Sunderland tomorrow morning. i will probably post a blog before then. if i don't, it will surely be before Ohio State plays in the afternoon.

i got some awesome FREE music on NoiseTrade today from one of my favorite artists, Warren Haynes. i HIGHLY recommend you check out the link below in the music section.

a quick Flashback Friday today (yes, i know i forgot it last week). the first poem of mine is "decisions". this was published in January 2013. you can find it by going here:
http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/100s/issue140decisions.html

next up is my poem "after a glass of scotch". this was published in August 2012. you can find that poem by going here: http://napalmandnovocain.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-poem-by-jj-campbell.html

if you enjoy those poems, feel free to share them with the world. if you think they suck, feel free to email me and tell me that. i love a good thrashing from time to time.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i believe my mother leaves on Sunday for a conference in Columbus. so i might be home alone for a few days. i see nothing but drinking and writing between checking out porn and sports.

enjoy that visual. go out and have a great weekend. enjoy it before (fill in the blank)...

finding joy in the misery of others

after i watched the New York Yankees lose last night, i was able to turn over to the good shit on Big Brother. i was so happy that Steve beat Vanessa in the final HOH. i was even happier when he made the $500,000 decision to take Liz to the finals. i'm sure once the house guests found out that Vanessa is a professional poker player who has made millions of dollars, they didn't feel bad that she didn't get shit. Steve deserved to win as he played a very deliberate and coy game. Liz should split that $50,000 with Austin as he obviously protected her until the final 4 basically. i did love the look on Austin's face when no one from his side of the house won America's favorite player. of course, i would have given it to Johnny Mac as i really didn't care for James. but, apparently America enjoyed watching him basically playing Meg's gay best friend for the summer. oh well. that guilty pleasure is now over with, at least until next summer.

the Yankees couldn't get anything going last night. the starting pitching was good and i have to wonder why Girardi took Nova out when he did. the bullpen other than the two he trusts right now is a fucking dumpster fire. they took a 0-0 game and turned it into a 4-0 loss. that pretty much ends all hope of winning the division. now the team MUST focus on at least getting home field for the wild card game. they have a comfortable lead in that, though one shitty losing streak and that will be gone in the final week of the season. they play at home tonight against the White Sox. i'm not sure how much of it i'm going to watch.

You're The Worst was excellent last night. it is easily the most realistic relationship show on television these days.

NXT was pretty good last night. i enjoyed the tag team title match and i really can't wait until the masses gets to see Asuka wrestle. she's amazing. here's some highlights:

time to enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

and because i'm in the mood, here's some more music:

on the DVR tonight will be Married.

the New York Rangers play Boston tonight. i won't be able to see the game live, so i'll probably follow online somehow. i do have some players going in the NFL game tonight, so i'll be paying a little attention to that. all my QB's this week have shitty matchups, so i'm not getting my hopes up.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll put the links down in the music section.

i did listen to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it.

mom and i made a quick run to the grocery store as my pills are just about out. they pushed my doctor's appointment back a few weeks and i noticed these pills don't have any refills on them, so i'm not sure what's going to happen. guess i'll find out in mid October. i did see a smoking hot blonde that cut in front of me in the cheese section at the store. i was tempted but i decided to just let my imagination take this one.

that's all for me today. i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'd like to actually get some poetry shit done, but that all depends on what mood i'm in when i wake up. if it's the me against the world, game on. if it's the fuck it, i'll be dead soon me, you can rest assured that not a fucking thing will get done tomorrow.

i suppose if i reveal any more sides of me i'll be single for the rest of my life. (unless some unlucky soul really needs to know)

when you come to a fork in the road, take it.

i woke up this morning to the news that Yogi Berra was dead. knowing that he was 90 and his health was getting worse, i figured this day was coming. as a Yankees fan, Yogi became one of the things you always looked forward to. Old Timer's Day just won't be the same anymore.
http://www.theplayerstribune.com/yogi-berra-in-memoriam/

speaking of the Yankees, they had one of those games last night; edge of your seat, blown saves, frustration, ecstasy... it had just about everything. when Carlos Beltran put the Yankees ahead in the 8th, i felt good. when Andrew Miller blew just his second save of the season in the 9th, i was furious. when Greg Bird hit a 3 run homer in the 10th, the adrenaline was flowing for the rest of the night. the Yankees won 6-4 to keep hope of a division title alive at least. the rubber game of the series is tonight. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer at the end of the game.

the New York Rangers lost last night to Philadelphia 5-3. i really don't care about the scores in the preseason, i'm more concerned with how the players are playing. Mat Bodie and Oscar Lindberg really stood out to me last night. they survived the first round of cuts today. Bodie is a long shot to make the team. Lindberg is a guy i really want to make this team. i believe the next game is tomorrow against Boston.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i believe i have an early favorite:

Total Divas was good last night. the only part of the show i really wanted to see came 40 minutes into it:
but there was also this:

Scream Queens was great last night. just campy enough to be bad and great at the same time. The Muppets made me laugh mostly because of how awkward it felt at times. they weren't joking when they said this was going to be an adult themed show.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United plays this afternoon against Ipswich Town in the Capital One Cup. United are playing at home so i expect a victory, though nothing seems to come easy for this team. and hopefully it goes much better than last season.

i made my football picks today. New England is my lock this week. i really didn't get any of the players i wanted in fantasy football, so this week could be a long one.

on the DVR tonight will be You're The Worst and the season finale of Big Brother. i would love to be shocked tonight and see someone other than Vanessa win.

NXT is on the WWE Network tonight. it looks like it should be a pretty good episode.

that's all for me today kids. i have dishes to put away and i would love to actually eat lunch, read the paper and go through the mail before Manchester United plays.

hope this finds everyone sneaking out of work early to go drink in a park.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and people think i like being the asshole...

i somehow managed to get more than 4 hours of sleep last night. i'm not exactly sure how it happened, but it certainly came in handy. not that i really had much energy today or anything, but it did give me enough to be the cantankerous asshole today. i think i am slowly realizing why we moved next door to my uncle. as his health is failing, my mother is becoming more and more the caretaker of him and his wife. and since my mother's health isn't great, you know who gets to do all the shit work. this is certainly how i expected to live the rest of my life... shaming my uncle into recycling, separating their trash. imagine my joy of getting a plastic bottle out of a bag of used pads. there's got to be about 50 fucking poems right there. these are the days where i used to be able to just go sit outside and not be heard by anyone or seen by anyone. sit on the backside of a barn, smoke something, have a bottle with me, and just let my thoughts go. now, i can be one of these assholes and just sit in my garage watching everyone else in the neighborhood do the same thing. if only my bedroom had a shitter in it...

after doing about 90 minutes of surveys today, i started to go through the poems. i have 28 poems that will be sent out soon or something like that. i set aside some poems for places that i will send to once i hear back on my prior submissions. the old John Wooden line is forever in my head... failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

i still have the trash to pick up around here. i will try to get that done sometime tonight between all the shit i want to do.

the New York Yankees lost last night 4-2. they had their chances but, as usual this season, they pissed them away. i really hope they win at least one game in this series so i don't have to watch the Blue Jays celebrate making the playoffs against the Yankees. Severino pitches tonight. his 2 worst games in his young career have been against Toronto. god i hope that changes tonight.

the New York Rangers won last night 6-3. of course the game was blacked out here so i had to wait until later to see the highlights. they play again tonight against Philadelphia. i will be able to see that one as it is on the NHL Network. they are trying out the 3 on 3 OT tonight. that should be interesting.

i thought The Voice last night was pretty good. one performance really stood out to me:
hopefully the show tonight will be even better.

Gotham last night was brilliant. i can't wait to see how this season turns out. The Big Bang Theory was good. i thought i would laugh a little more than what i did. Life in Pieces was hilarious. that's a new show that i really think will make it.

ok kids, time for intermission:

and now some of this and that:

and now possibly the greatest cover of a song i have ever heard:

with the Colts losing last night, i went 6-10 on my NFL picks for week 2. not good. but, i did win all 3 of my fantasy matchups. hopefully i have found the right combination of players to start a nice long streak. and hopefully my picks are much, MUCH better for week 3.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Scream Queens, The Muppets and Total Divas. i'll be flipping between hockey and baseball for most of the night.

i got some FREE music at NoiseTrade today. i will put those links down in the music section.

i will be on here early tomorrow as Manchester United plays in the afternoon. of course, i will have to find the game somewhere on the internet to watch it. hopefully it goes much better than their first game in the Capital One Cup last season.

that's all for me kids. i think we're going to have to turn the air conditioner back on here. we've gone a few days with the windows open. the humidity is slowly getting to me.

release the poison

so i was up at 4 in the morning, actually i hadn't gone to bed yet, trying to write out the poem that's been stuck in my head for a few days. i got it out finally, along with two others. i typed them up this afternoon and i figure they will be part of my next big submission of poems, probably in a few days.

i stayed up late last night watching all the shows i missed while i was watching wrestling. i only watched a few minutes of Big Brother. since it was a highlight episode and i've watched the whole damn season, i felt like i didn't need to watch it. The Strain was excellent last night. it had a few wrinkles to the story that were very intriguing. Ray Donovan was excellent. Masters of Sex was better than i thought it was going to be from where it started out.

Night of Champions was pretty good last night. it helped that i wanted Kevin Owens and Charlotte to win the titles last night and they did. as i expected, John Cena won back the US Title. unless he loses it tonight on Monday Night Raw, it's really just another case of John Cena isn't allowed to lose. Kane coming back was expected. i didn't expect Chris Jericho to be the mystery partner. and since they are now hinting at a Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose program coming up, i'm all for that. i'm interested to see where they go tonight on Monday Night Raw.

the New York Yankees were being shutout by the Mets last night until their starter had to come out because the owners and doctors are pussies. the Yankees exploded for 11 runs to win the game 11-2. the Red Sox beat Toronto so the Yankees go into Toronto tonight to start a 3 game series, sitting 2 1/2 games behind the Blue Jays for the division lead. if they can get the win tonight, maybe the Blue Jays start to sweat a little. sadly, Tanaka won't be pitching in this series. he strained his hamstring running out a bunt. stupid National League rules. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer later tonight.

the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday 26-19 to a Tampa Bay team that stinks. that's the Saints sixth straight loss at home. it's going to be one long ass season. sadly, the loss also knocked me out of most of the suicide pools i was in. as i told my mother, all they did was basically cost me a chance to win 5 to 10 thousand dollars. speaking of fantasy football, my game picks absolutely sucked yesterday. if the Colts lose tonight i will have double digit losses for the first time in years. amazingly though, my 3 teams did actually pretty well. i've already won one and i'm leading in the other 2. but of course my opponents both have Andrew Luck tonight. i don't like my chances.

Manchester United fell behind to Southampton and i started to think, oh shit, this is going to be one long ass day. but then i was reminded that boy wonder, Anthony Martial, was here to save the day. his 2 goals and another from Juan Mata gave United a 3-2 win. that puts them in second place in the table. not bad for some shit team that no one believes in. they next play on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.

i might have watched 5 minutes or so of the USA women destroying Haiti yesterday 8-0 in a soccer friendly. here are some of the goals:

i woke up this morning to the news that Dyshawn Pierre will not play basketball for Dayton in the fall semester. i had to go digging on the internet to see what was going on. as i sadly figured, it has to do with the possibility of some sexual misconduct. i figure if it was worse news than a he said she said type of thing, he would miss the entire season like 1 player did a few years back. so, if it is only 10 games he misses, good. but i'm not going to count the eggs before they hatch.
http://www.blackburnreview.com/pierre-out-for-fall-semester/

ok kids, time for some music:

and now some of this and that:

it's hard to imagine, but the New York Rangers play their first pre-season hockey game tonight. holy fuck, where does the time go?

on the DVR tonight will be a holy shit ton of things: The Voice, The Big Bang Theory, Gotham and Life in Pieces. while all that is on i'll be flipping between baseball, hockey, Monday Night Raw and Monday Night Football. good thing i don't need much sleep to operate these days.

that's all for me today kids. i hope everyone had a great weekend, at the very least, better than mine. i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i have a feeling i will be knee deep in poems trying to figure out what i'm going to send where. i got the birds out of the way today. they were certainly happy to see me filling up the feeders.

hope this finds everyone enjoying some decent weather, some good tunes, and whatever else you need to get you through.

white noise

my mother got me a new fan for my room after the one i was using got controlled by apathy and decided to no longer rotate. the fan she got me creates such a white noise that i more or less can't hear shit when it is on high. i suppose that will come in handy at some point. i turned it down to the lowest setting last night when i slept and all i know is i have a line in my head of words that i need to get down on paper and i had a dream where someone famous confided in me they were going to kill their parents. i figure it must be a Sunday morning.

Ohio State played like all they needed to do yesterday was just roll out of bed and that was enough to win. if it wasn't for the defense, they would have easily lost that game yesterday. hopefully it serves as a wake up call to not only the players but the coaches as well. maybe the new offensive coordinator needs to be reminded, establish the run and passing becomes so much easier. it doesn't work the other way around. Ezekiel Elliott should not be a decoy. they won by the skin of their teeth, 20-13. they were favored by 34.5 points.

the New York Yankees got some great pitching yesterday and used 2 long balls to beat the Mets 5-0. thankfully, Boston rallied late to beat Toronto, so the lead in the division is back down to 3 1/2 games. hopefully that same scenario will happen today and the lead will get even smaller. the Yankees play tonight on ESPN. i doubt i will watch. between the NFL and the WWE, my plate if full tonight.

the college football yesterday was crazy, the late games especially. i was a little stunned when UCLA came back to beat BYU. and i was really stunned when Ole Miss beat Alabama. that will send the polls into a tizzy.

ROH last night was excellent. anytime the guys from NJPW are involved, it's going to be good.

i also recorded the Austin City Limits episode Foo Fighters did. i suppose i'll watch that one of these days.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United plays Southapmton later this morning. hopefully the boys come away with the 3 points, but i know it won't be easy. at least Wayne Rooney will be back for the game.

the New Orleans Saints play Tampa Bay this afternoon. i hope to god New Orleans wins this game. if they can't beat Tampa, it's going to be a long ass season.

the WWE will put on Night of Champions tonight on the WWE Network. if they were smart, they would have Seth Rollins win both matches tonight against John Cena and Sting. then they would have a legit superstar to build the future around. of course, that won't happen as Cena isn't allowed to lose on 2 pay per views in a row. hopefully they will be smart enough to have Kevin Owens win the Intercontinental Championship tonight. i don't have high hopes for that one either. the match that i hope steals the show is The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz. that should have a little of everything; comedy, violence, etc. all in all, i'm hoping for a good show tonight. if done correctly, it could be.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, The Strain, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex.

that's all for me today kids. i've got a long one in front of me, hopefully full of victory beers. i do hope your Saturday was good to you. may your Sunday be even better.

i'll be on here tomorrow after i figure out just how many new shows i can fit on the DVR for Monday night.

old bones creaking down a hallway

before i even turned on the computer this morning, i could feel there was rain in the area. sure enough, first thing i see on the screen is a message from the weather channel saying thunderstorms in the area around 9 AM. those haven't happened yet, but i haven't seen the sun yet either. i figure as soon as i get done writing this i will be in my massage chair, settling in for a long day.

the listless New York Yankees lost last night 5-1. of course, Toronto beat Boston, so the Yankees are now 4 1/2 games out of first in the division. i'd love for them to avoid the wildcard so they didn't have to play the 1 game playoff, but i don't see that happening now. they face the Mets again this afternoon. the offense will have to decide to do something if they actually want to win this series. and it would help if the manager would pull his head out of his ass. just sayin'.

NJPW was excellent last night. Treehouse Masters was good as well. if i ever get enough fuck you money, i would love to retire to a treehouse on the Oregon coast. it won't ever happen, but a man can dream.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

and the man i wish was the next President of the United States of America:

Ohio State plays Northern Illinois this afternoon. hopefully it's another blowout early, with all parts of the team clicking.

tonight on the DVR will be ROH. i figure i will spend most of the day watching soccer from Europe and college football.

i will be on here early tomorrow morning as Manchester United plays right before the NFL games start. so that means i have to get all my fantasy football shit done either today or late tonight. fun times.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday lined up. enjoy what i hope is better weather in your neck of the woods. enjoy a stiff drink and a good meal. and whatever your passion may be, let it fucking flow today.

when the grocery store looks like a morgue...

when it started to rain this morning, i knew it was going to be a shit day. these are the moments where i wish someone could stop me and list all the times i have been wrong about this.

i'm waiting...

mom was running late, i was irritable, the waitress at the restaurant more or less forgot we existed for about 20 minutes (and that was while we waited for water) and the grocery store looked like it was picked through by fucking zombies. good times.

i watched most of the NFL game last night. what a crazy fucking game. and of course it would be my running back to have the 2 fumbles and lose the game. fuck me.  if lose my fantasy games by 4 points or less this week i'm going to be fucking furious.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. the song from the main scene in the finale has been in my head since the show ended. i'm going to have to find that on iTunes. Married was great last night as well. that certainly brought back memories of dating women with children.

i did catch bits and pieces of the USA Women's national team defeat of Haiti last night, 5-0. here are some of the goals:

anyone else need some music?:

and now some of this and that:

the New York Yankees take on the Mets tonight in a very important game for both clubs. i'm hoping the Yankees can win the series and hopefully the Red Sox can beat the Blue Jays so the games coming up next week will at least be interesting.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and the season finale of Treehouse Masters.

i will be on here in the morning, hopefully i won't be in pain or be pissy. no promises though.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

back to the grind

i've been toying with the idea of using some of the money i made from selling my truck to play in those fantasy football leagues they have been advertising non-stop on tv. i figure i better do it before the government decides it's gambling and shuts everything down. but, i want to get on a hot streak in fantasy football before i start blowing my money away. and that hasn't happened yet.

the New York Yankees got some decent pitching and just enough hitting to win last night, 3-1. thankfully, that wins another series and sent them into the day off feeling good. they start a series with the Mets tomorrow and they will have their hands full. hopefully, the offense will start to click again. they will need as many runs as possible as the Yankees pitching is basically down to 4 1/2 guys that i trust and hold on for dear life with everyone else.

Big Brother went how i expected last night. Vanessa ousted John to set the final 3 of Vanessa, Steve and Liz. Vanessa won the first HOH last night, so Steve and Liz will have to pull a miracle out of their ass to make sure she doesn't go to Final 2. and considering Liz hates Steve, she probably won't be smart enough to take him if she gets the chance.

i really enjoyed NXT last night.

You're The Worst had me laughing last night, mostly recalling my horrific dating past and times at shopping malls. sadly, i have found myself way too many times in the role of the friend to the smoking hot girl. not fun.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Married. i will most likely be watching the NFL game between the Chiefs and Broncos as i have fantasy players playing tonight. i'm hoping i get off to a good start this week. i certainly could use it after last week.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow as i know we have to go to the grocery store. plus, depending how the game goes tonight, i may crank out some poetry submissions.

i can only see nightmares when i close my eyes

so i sat down to watch Manchester United play yesterday and it wasn't very long until i was absolutely gutted. watching Luke Shaw get a double fracture of his right leg on a nasty fucking tackle (that didn't result in any card or anything) was horrendous. the kid was playing so great and had really nailed down the left fullback position. United scored a few minutes later on a beautiful goal from Memphis. but, when they gave up the equalizer before halftime, i didn't feel very good. 8 minutes into the second half, PSV took the lead. what has killed me about Manchester United since Sir Alex left is the glaring lack of urgency that the team plays with. it's beyond frustrating. and since United could never find that second goal to draw the game, they are now behind the 8 ball for the rest of the Champions League play. and i have no clue what they fucking do to replace Luke Shaw for the next 6 months.

to add to that, the New York Yankees pissed away a chance to gain ground on Toronto by losing to Tampa 6-3 last night. nothing says a mediocre team like coming off a tremendous high and just play like shit the following day. they play a MUST win game tonight before they have an off day and then start a series with the fucking Mets.

Big Brother was interesting last night. i was somewhat shocked that Vanessa voted out Austin last night. i was more shocked that Liz didn't punch her right in the face after it happened. i found out later that Steve (the new HOH) nominated John and Vanessa for eviction tonight. problem is, Vanessa won the POV and now she will be the only one voting. i'm pretty sure she will take out John tonight. and that means Steve and Liz better get smart quick and eliminate Vanessa as soon as possible. if either of them take her to the finals, they will lose, no matter what Austin thinks.

i nearly forgot that Total Divas was on last night. i caught the episode at midnight. it was better than i expected. next week's episode will be a tearjerker. it looks like the ladies were on vacation in Mexico when the news broke that Dusty Rhodes died. that will be a hard one to watch.

i didn't sleep well at all last night. i believe all the frustration just kept me tossing all night long. i think i might have got around 3 hours or so. but, when 6 came along this morning, it was time to get up and start checking the waiver wires in my fantasy football leagues. and since i noticed people were making changes at 6:20 or so, i know i'm playing in leagues with assholes just like me. that will at least make it interesting. and yes, i got everyone i wanted.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and You're The Worst. i am looking forward to watching NXT tonight on the WWE Network. i also believe there's an interview with Randy Orton coming on tonight as well on the network.

that's all for me today kids. i'm going to go put on some soccer and hopefully take a long nap.

in case you're interested, my NFL team guaranteed to win this week is my New Orleans Saints. you can imagine how pissed i will be if they lose on Sunday.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

better late than never

my sports night last night was on the verge of disaster. i picked both football games wrong, everything i needed to go my way in fantasy football went the opposite direction and the New York Yankees were being no hit through 7 innings. thankfully, Carlos Beltran broke that up. but, the team continues to not do the little things to get runners in; get the guy over, productive outs, etc. this was further glorified in the 9th inning, trailing 1-0, when Jacoby "i may not get a hit again for the rest of the season" Ellsbury hit into a double play instead of doing whatever it took to get the guy into scoring position. thankfully, the Yankees decided to show some heart and have, easily, their best win of the season. a walk and a steal to finally get someone into scoring position. A-Rod hit a HUGE double to tie the game. mind you this is coming off a pitcher who had never given up a run to the Yankees in his career. they walked McCann to force Girardi into making a decision. the dumb fucks in the tv booth wanted a pinch hitter. i was yelling at the top of my lungs to stick with Slade Heathcott. i'm at the point this season where i would much rather watch a kid fail than some old overpaid piece of shit (yes, that's you Stephen Drew) fail yet again. all Slade did was take the first pitch and hit the second home run of his career to give the Yankees a 4-1 lead. easily, given that this season is spiraling down the toilet, the best moment and win of the season. what should also be remembered from the game is the pitching job CC did. god willing, this will be the win that will send them on a sprint to the playoffs. they are 3 games out of the division lead. they play 3 more games with Toronto early next week. the job at hand is to win another game tonight. keep it within 3 games and then take your shot at winning the division in a year when most baseball "experts" thought the Yankees would finish in last place.

i lost 2 of my 3 fantasy football games. they weren't really close, so i won't beat myself up to much as i simply didn't have the right players to win. i went 10-6 on my picks. that i will be disappointed with. oh well.

Monday Night Raw could have been so much better last night. it started off well:
but they completely dropped the ball with the women's title match. i don't mind that Charlotte won by DQ. i don't mind Nikki setting the record for most days with the title. what i do mind is using a finish that they had already used over and over again. it's so god damn obvious that Vince doesn't believe in female wrestlers as actual "wrestlers"; they are simply something good to look at or time for you to take a piss. now, it's all set up for Charlotte to win the title this Sunday at the ppv. but this god awful taste in the mouth of nearly all wrestling fans will take a match that i don't think the fuckers that write this shit can come up with. that and the fact that Nikki can't wrestle to save her life. now, throw in the John Cena factor and maybe she doesn't lose this Sunday as that fucker won't allow it. if that happens, the Divas Revolution will be officially dead and i do hope that people just turn the product off and go support something else. the only other part of the show i enjoyed was this:
and that's only because i hope they put the title on Kevin Owens. but, given the WWE recently, they will manage to fuck that up as well.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade this morning. i will post the links below in the music section.

i finally watched the Jimi Hendrix: Electric Church documentary last night. it was excellent.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother. i am shocked that no one has leaked who got evicted yesterday. i guess i will have to watch tonight.

Manchester United plays at PSV Eindhoven today in Champions League group play. i will be interested to see how Memphis plays today as PSV is his former club. hopefully he plays great as Wayne Rooney will be missing again.

after that is over i will get all the trash together and figure out what phone mom should get for the "home office". the ones she's had for years have finally died. mom will use something until it dies. if it doesn't last for more than 15 years, she's disappointed. i am the same way kind of, but that's mostly due to the fact i haven't had a steady income since i was 26. i go without new shit simply because i can't afford it.

i hope this finds everyone enjoying some great weather and the beverage of your choice. until tomorrow my friends.

overreaction Monday

today is the day where i love listening to sports talk radio because someone who played like shit yesterday is washed up and some rookie that was amazing is the second coming. being someone who takes fantasy football a little too seriously, i have learned over the years to laugh at overreaction Monday. that being said, do you think you could have given me one fucking point yesterday Joe Flacco, ya fucking bum.

my fantasy teams did horrible yesterday. i won one game and will (most likely) lose the other two. thankfully, my picks did ok. if the Eagles and Vikings win tonight, i'll finish with 12 wins for the week.

the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday 31-19. i had a feeling they were going to pull it out yesterday late, but that quickly faded. it's only the first game, but that fucking secondary has to get healthy quick. they can't have another season where they have to out score everyone.

the New York Yankees found some heart and pride yesterday and a starting pitcher who could shut down a hot team. Tanaka pitched a strong seven innings and the Yankees won 5-0. could be the start of something or could just be the sun shining on a dog's ass. they start a series in that dump in Tampa tonight.

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i did manage to watch ROH last night. a really good episode this week. Big Brother was pretty funny. i'm interested to see who gets evicted tomorrow. Ray Donovan was good. Masters of Sex had a nice little twist at the end. The Strain was fucking fantastic. the entire episode had a few oh shit moments and the ending certainly left me wanting more. and it was great to have Last Week Tonight back on:

i wrote 7 poems today and typed them up this afternoon. i got a line stuck in my head last night that i had to get out today. 45 minutes later and i have 7 pretty damn good poems. that certainly gives me enough to do a submission in the next few days.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw. i figure i will be flipping between the Monday Night Football games and the baseball game. if i get bored, i'll finally watch that Jimi Hendrix concert i have on the DVR.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the Champions League. it feels good to type that again.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if i had quarterbacks on my fantasy teams that could actually throw touchdowns instead of interceptions, my weekend would have been great.

of course, if a miracle happens tonight and i somehow end up with 2 wins instead of one, i'll be a happy camper. as happy as a bitter asshole who's approaching 40 and still single can be i suppose.

as my mother always says, it could be worse. i ponder that each time my back starts to ache while i'm taking a shit on the toilet.

enjoy the visual my friends.
